Fear of Remembering Your Dreams

During a radio show interview, the host asked me, “Do most people tell you dream interpretation isn’t real?” My response was, “No, most people who come to me are open to the idea that their dreams have meaning. What I hear often from the general public is I can’t remember my dreams.”

Now, there are quite a few reasons that people have problems with dream recall; however in today’s blog we are focusing on fear. Why would anyone be afraid of remembering their dreams? My quote from the book Learn the Secret Language of Dreams sums it up nicely – There is no denial in the dreamtime, only subconscious and spiritual truths. The reality is there are people who are terrified of daytime reality coming into their in the dreamland. For instance, in their dreams;

Their authentic feelings come out.
The genuine quality of their relationships.
Nightmares.
PTSD, which is post-traumatic stress disorder.

[image error]Some heavy stuff to be sure; yet, a former teacher of mine used to say, “When you bring the demons to the light they go away.” Wouldn’t you want your demons to go away? Stuffing your feelings only cause dis-ease as the famous Louise Hay reveals. Sadly, in most societies we are taught that some of our emotions are inappropriate; therefore, people learn not to reveal them. Feelings are neither wrong nor right, or are they facts, they just are a part of being human. Our dreams of the nighttime are alerting us to acknowledge these feelings to alleviate them, thus allowing them to go away.

Your dreams reveal the true state of your relationships with parents, children, pets, clients, boss, co-workers, your lifetime partner, a person you’re dating, in other words – everyone. You can deny all you want that: you’re not angry at your spouse, the man you are dating is not a womanizer, or your child didn’t lie. The truth is always reveled in a dream. Relationship issues can only be cleared away, when you acknowledge them, work on them, in order to reap the awards of healthier companionship.

Nightmares can be scarier, although burying them by refusing to acknowledge them doesn’t make it disappear; instead, use them to assist in observing what issues need to be overcome. Believe it or not, this is a good thing! When you overcome whatever obstacle is in your life, the nightmare will disappear. Fortunately, the majority of nightmares never comes true; unless it’s an unusual precognitive dream.

PTSD are memories of what has already happened; nevertheless, they can be abhorrence as the emotions were often frozen during the event or ongoing trauma. Psyche is always kind, what you may not be able to handle or choose to ignore during your waking hours, will instead come out in your dreams for the repress memory to slowly emerge. Slowly, but surely, you will graduate to remember them. These types of dreams can NOT be cured by reading self-help books or blogs, instead you need to find a trained therapist first before working with a dream analyst.

Remember the saying – you have nothing to fear, but fear itself. So let go of the demons to allow in the light. To start the process of remembering your dreams, here is the link to the free guidebook and meditation, How to Remember Your Dreams.

Dreaming of Pinterest in the Nighttime

[image error]Are you on Pinterest? Have you just dabble in it? Become a pinning addict? Or somewhere in between? Personally, I can answer yes to all those questions. I went from a personal Pinterest account, to a business account, and then just dabbled with it while I focused on Twitter. Sadly, Twitter isn’t working like it used to for me. I couldn’t decide if I should shift my focus to my Facebook business page or Pinterest; when my angels whispered, “Pinterest.”

Listen to your angels for their information is always accurate; therefore mine were spot on. Pinterest has really grown by leaps and bounds! There is a ton of data on the internet how Pinterest helps your business. My website analytics verify this fact, considering the majority of my blog traffic is coming from Pinterest, thus my social media marketing focus has switched to them.

As a result, my focus of Pinterest during the day is coming into my dreamland. I dream of creating pins (an image or text visual which is pinned onto a board category), doing a makeover of my account, and communicating to other pinners. LOL!  Am I the only one who dreams of Pinterest? Here is a short, but sweet dream when during the daytime I worked on finding keywords for an upcoming promotional pin:

In a cloudy atmosphere, I was speaking to a female spirit guide about my Pinterest promotion, she told me that I had chosen really good key words that fit my niche.

I know it wasn’t much, yet the dream meaning clearly states that I am on the right path, I’m doing a great job, and gave me validation to pay for advertising a pin.

Did you ever have a Pinterest dream? I love to hear about it to let me know that I’m not the only one. Would you care to see my new and improve account? You can check out my profile, follow me, and become a contributor to my group boards on my Pinterest account.

The Importance of a Dream Journal

[image error]Have you awakened from an amazing dream, thought you would remember it, then later couldn’t recall it or only remembered bits and pieces? This happens to all human beings, which is why it’s imperative to document them upon awakening. People have different preferences on how to record their dreams, such as:

Speaking into a voice recording device.
Clicking a dream journal app on their smart phone.
Using a laptop.
Sketching their dream into a notebook.
Writing longhand with a pen in a fancy journal.

Many people get out of bed with a to-do list: make coffee, prepare for work, take care of your children, feed the pets, or walk the dog. One thing the majority of us does when we rise out of bed is answering the call of nature – bring your dream journal with you.

Yes, you can multitask in the privacy of your bathroom. Write, type, or record the highlights of the dream, along with what you were feeling during the dream. Later in the day, what you have written may help trigger more memories of the dream to transcribe.

7 Important Reasons to Keep a Dream Journal

Are you thinking to yourself, “Why bother with a dream journal?” Here are seven reasons why:

Motivates you to record your dreams.
Triggers daily dream recall.
Aids in comprehending your unique symbols.
Enables you to notice the patterns in your dream.
Makes dream interpretation easier.
Helps to solve problems in your life.
Creates a better understanding of who you are.

Carpenters need their tools to accomplish their work, a surgeon uses tools to perform surgery; therefore, you can use a dream journal to interpret your dream. Happy journaling!

Dating Dreams Expose the “Wrong One”

Did you know that your dreams of the nighttime can help you with finding the right one by warning you about the wrong ones?  We all know that dating or as my niece calls it “they are talking” can be a hassle, disappointing, or a nightmare! Ta dah, dream interpretation to the rescue. That’s right, your dreams can give major clues and insights whether this person is worth pursuing, red flags in the relationship, or potential danger.

Red Flag Dreams

One client told me of a dream where a man she was dating denied he was drinking a beer, yet he smelled of beer and behaved like he was drunk. Her dream was warning her that he wasn’t honest and probably had addiction issues.

Another client had gone out with a man a few times, when she dreamt that he was surrounded by women and he was touching their breasts, butts, and private areas. I warned her that this dream was showing her an enormous red flag about this man and to keep her pants on. Several months later, she discovered his reputation as a player.

Not the Right One or Timing Dream

A male client was enamored with a woman and asked me to interpret his dream he had about her.

He saw her approaching, but they walked by each other as he felt the distance between them.

Now, this dream could have four interpretations. The first is one of them is moving away to a new location. Another meaning is they need to communicate more and work on the relationship. The third symbolism could be to keep on walking by because she’s not the right one.  However, he agreed with the fourth interpretation I gave him – his dream was symbolic for how at this time in their lives they were on different paths in life.

Precognitive Dream

I had the following dream many, many moons ago when I was in my late twenties and is in the precognitive chapter of the book Learn the Secret Language of Dream.

I was in my grammar school gymnasium surrounded by lots of people.  There was a nice looking man with dark hair, a beard, and mustache.  I do not remember the words, but the feeling I got was that he wanted to control me. I felt like I needed to get away from him.

A few months go by, then I was at a party and the man who was in my dream introduced himself to me. I was shocked, talked to him, and foolishly gave him my phone number. He pursued me very hard and would stop by the places he knew I frequent. I went out on one date and got the same feeling I did in the dream. That date was an important lesson for me because I realized that the dream I had was indeed a premonition to warn me to not become involved with this man. I kept my distance and thankfully he took the hint. I found out later that although he was in his late twenties, he had been married three times! He obviously had issues with relationships and I had no intention of being wife number four.

Please note that is uncommon to dream of a stranger who looks exactly the way they do in your dream. Our dreams will use whatever is in our subconscious to carry out the message or warning. What this means is the person in the dream may not be your current potential mate. Instead, you dream of an ex, a bad boy/girl in a movie, or someone else’s undesirable mate; nevertheless the information is just as valid whether it’s pointing to red flags or  this person is not right for you.

Wanted! Submit your relationship dreams for my upcoming book using dream interpretation in love relationships. All names will be changed in the dreams to hide the identity of each individuals. When you submit your dreams, you are giving me permission to use your dream in the book, and you will be notified if your dream is chosen. Many Dream Meanings for Home Invasions

Dream symbols and meanings have an endless amount of interpretations depending on an individual personal symbolism, what is occurring in the present, past events in their lifetime, and the emotions felt within the dream. Understanding your dream meanings is an ongoing process, yet aids you in comprehending the age old question – who am I?

In case you are unaware of it, I have been the columnist for the monthly column In the Dreamtime in Bellesprit Magazine since 2013 where I interpret dreams the readers email in. My readers’ dreams are so fascinating and a pleasure to interpret. What is fun about this column is I never know what dreams I’ll be interpreting for the month or if the dreams sent in have a theme.

I had lunch with a f[image error]riend in February who told me about a dream she had, which intrigued me due to the fact it could have a plethora of meanings. She promised to send in the dream for my column, thankfully she came through on her promise. I received another interesting dream a few days before I was due to write the column. Duh! After I wrote the column I realized they were both about the dreamer’s home being invaded. How awesome is that! The first dream is a great example of how one simple dream can have many different interpretations and the dreamer will know what one fits best. The second dream had a ton of symbols with more of a straightforward meaning, although still had variables.

To read these two dreams, please visit In the Dreamtime and I would love to hear your feedback on what you think the dreams could mean.

As the Precognitive Dream Unravels

Future prediction, whether through a precognitive dream or a psychic reading, rarely give a play by play of how an event will exactly unfold; which had made some of my past clients very angry when I used to work the psychic lines. One female caller wanted to know if she was going to get a lot of money from her soon to be ex-husband. My Angels answer was, “You will be taken care of financially.” The woman became furious after she asked the question three different ways and my Angels kept giving her the same answer. At one point she shouted, “You’re not answering my question!” “This is the way my Angels are answering it,” I responded.

Many people are like that female caller in that they expect their precognitive dreams to happen exactly the way they dreamed it. Ha, if only it was that easy. First, you need to identify if it really was a precognitive dream. How can you recognize a precognitive dream? Here’s how:

Precognitive dreams are more vivid than your other dreams.
There is a knowing (similar to daytime intuition) that this will occur.
You remember the dream even if you rarely have dream recall.
Future occurrence happens in your life that are similar to the dream.
The more you experience precognitive dreams, the easier they become to pin point.

Those five bullet points are pointing out that determining and understanding a precognitive dream is not an overnight process. Keeping a dream journal assist in developing and proceeding forward in understanding if your dream was indeed precognitive or not. Learning the secret language of dreams is a journey, takes time, and is never over.

Two dreams that I had occurred a few weeks ago are a great example of that it doesn’t matter how long you been interpreting your dreams (I’ve been doing it since 1991), identifying the meaning of a precognitive dream is a process.  The following is my experience on how the precognitive dreams unraveled.

First Dream

I dreamed that I was with my man, C., and his male friend/co-worker at an interesting store. In our waking life, we have gone out on double dates with C’s co-worker and wife. I was having a great time and didn’t want to leave.

In the second scene we are with a bunch of his co-workers in a place that looks like a department store, I felt uncomfortable around these people because I didn’t know them. C. goes off with a bunch of people from work up the elevator, leaving me with two of his male office mate that I wasn’t crazy about. I said, “Where’s he going?” One of the men told me not to worry about it, nevertheless I felt really upset that he wasn’t with me and left me stuck there.

The dream had a precognitive vibe to it, although I was puzzled as to its meaning. Later that day, I received a text from C. letting me know we had two opportunities to go out this Saturday and if I was interested. The first was from our friend who wanted to go to antique stores, but his wife had to work. The second was to see the movie “John Wick,” plus go out to eat with a bunch of people from his job. I laughed as I concluded that’s what the dream meant; I replied yes to the text.

Second Dream (Friday morning)

We were at a place similar to the department store, however it was different. C. strolled away from me and put his hand on the waist of a pretty, young girl. I angrily asked, “What is going on?” His response was, “It’s not a big deal because she’s my ex-girlfriend.” Then he walked away with her and a bunch of other people from his work, I tried to follow, consequently I couldn’t because all of a sudden a huge piece of glass was blocking the way. I was furious!

I awoke feeling very upset and concerned from the dream because of the precognitive energy. I couldn’t help but wonder what the message was in these two dreams. Could the second dream be pointing out that C. liked someone from work or some young girl from work was interested in him?

I pulled a tarot card on how our relationship was, the card was the “lover’s card.” Whew! Thank God, yet fear came up. I asked my guides if everything was okay between C. and me. Instantly, I got a vision of the last scene from the television show “Medium” where her husband gave a woman, who was choking, the Heimlich maneuver. I understood that clairvoyant message, you see, in that particular episode she kept having a dream about her husband behind a woman that had a sexual vibe to it. Her dream wasn’t clear till the end of the show when her husband saved the life of the woman, who she thought he was having sex with. My guides were letting me know not to worry.

That vision did help me let go of my fear, however, I did feel anxious to discover the true meaning of the dream. That night C. came home with a stomach virus that he caught from his co-workers. He spent most of Friday night vomiting, slept a lot on Saturday, and felt better by Tuesday morning. I did feel disappointed because I would have liked to go antiquing. I was mad at his co-workers for going in sick and giving him the stomach flu. And we kept our distance to prevent me from catching it, luckily that worked.

Those two precognitive dreams are great examples because I did use the five bullet points. My man even asked if I wrote down the two dreams, I responded, “No, I’ll remember them.” The most important factor was not jumping to conclusions, while allowing time to give the true meaning of my dreams.

I would love to hear about your precognitive dreams and what messages they gave you. Please comment below. If you need help understanding them, please check out the book Learn the Secret Language of Dreams or visit the Dream Interpretation Services page.

You’ll Love Best 4 “Pamela’s Dream Blogs”

Work smarter, not harder was the Angel’s message for me during a reading I had with Belle Salisbury. These words of wisdom rang true to me. One thing I can do to work less and be productive is to let go of Pamela’s Dream Blog and just focus on this blog. I looked into the idea of forwarding all the blogs here, which would have caused a lot of work for me. Instead of me working harder; here are the four most read blogs:

Number One

Authoring a Book is Like Being Pregnant and Giving Birth

Okay, I admit the picture is a little silly; yet most authors will agree pregnancy is a great analogy of what it feels like when they are writing, editing, and preparing to release their book. Just like a human pregnancy, authoring a book can cause some discomfort and at times, pain. A book comes into being through baby steps: an ideal, notes or an outline, allowing the book to form as we write, editing, rewriting, editing, rewriting, more editing and rewriting …, finding the perfect cover, formatting the book layout, and lo and behold – the birth of your book.

Unless you’re Mother Mary, any type of pregnancy cannot be done alone; although a book ~ Read the rest at Pamela’s Dream Blog

What Does Dream Interpretation and Yoga Have In Common

You might be thinking how could yoga and dream interpretation have anything related to each other? Many people think they can take shortcuts to either one of them. People watch a yogi do a yoga pose and think the posture is easy to do until they try it.  They go to a dream dictionary and think their dream means what it says in the dictionary, yet it is much more complex. You can learn more about that in the blog Are Dream Dictionaries Reliable in Their Interpretation?

Dream interpretation and yoga both take years to become an expert at because of all their complexities. The three basics of yoga are ~ read the rest at Pamela’s Dream Blog

Number Three

Dreams Can Give Glimpses of the Future

Here’s a benefit of learning dream interpretation: your dreams can give you insights and flashes of what your future will be. It takes time to learn the feeling of a precognitive dream, yet it is well worth the effort. Your premonition dreams rarely give you direct information on how your future will exactly be, although it does happen.  Instead, you will receive glimpses of your future through symbolism.

Are you, like me, where you have dreams that switch from one scene to another scene almost like a play would? Sometimes, you can remember all acts, while other times one stands out more than another. The latter is what recently happened to me and I would like to share two dream segments occurring on different nights.

First Dream Scene

I was in labor lying on a portable hospital bed in the hallway while waiting for a room to become available. My belly was gigantic! A Priest came by and asked if I would like him to do a religious rite for me. I really didn’t get the best vibe from him and felt relieved to be able to escape his Christian ceremony by giving him my honest reply, “I’m Jewish.”

Imagine my surprise when I saw an Orthodox rabbi dancing at the end of the bed, singing, “She’s Jewish, she’s Jewish.” I could feel the energy of his excitement, which was like he was sticking out his tongue and saying na, na, na, na to the Priest. I thought to myself – I don’t want your ritual either because I’m more spiritual than Jewish; plus I don’t like your attitude towards the priest.

How Time Reveals Amazing Secrets in Precognitive Dreams

When you have a precognitive dream it will give you a premonition of the future, yet it is rare that your dream will reveal the exact manner your future will happen. Instead, your dream could come in symbolism and a scene or two of an event that is proceeding. You may have no idea what it means, which is why I suggest you make a record of it for future reference. Please write down your feelings in the dream, especially if it felt like this was going to occur in the future.

Precognitive dreams are similar to intuition because often it doesn’t make any sense and needs time to reveal its meaning. When you’re in touch with the way you feel during an intuitive moment or precognitive dream it will help you to recognize it in the future, because you will have that feeling memory to go on. Time is what is needed for you to understand and trust your precognitive dreams (just like your intuition) because we humans need things to be repeated for proof and to truly comprehend their meanings.

Do you remember that I promised to keep you updated about my two dreams I blogged about in “Dreams Can Give Glimpses of the Future” back in October. Read the rest at Pamela’s Dream Blog.

You can read more of my personal dream blogs and under this blog’s category “What’s Pamela Dreaming.”

Have you ever had precognitive dreams? Do you dream about yoga or being pregnant? I would love to hear your comments!

Dreamland Discovery of Your Lifetime Mate

“I saw a man in my dream who felt like my soul mate,” I have heard from my clients and radio callers when I hosted The Love Channel Show. The majority of these dreams occurred to women, although it happens to men too. Is it true? Are they really dreaming of their upcoming partner?

Yes, the majority of the times people really do dream of their upcoming significant other. Love’s energy often occurs before the couple comes into contact, whether it’s while you’re sleeping or that common intuitive feeling that you are going to meet someone special. Are you curious what the dreamer dreams about? Here’s some ways he/she could appear in your dreams:

You actually see their face; however, this is extremely rare.

The two of you are interacting, but you can’t see their face.

You could hear their voice, feel their presence, or smell their scent.

The dream occurs energetically.

In some dreams love making occurs.

Precognitive dream of an actual event in the future.

Singles, would you like to know how you can have dreams of your future mate? Your intention helps because if you believe, you will receive. The following are five tools to use:

Write yourself a letter stating – I will meet my soul mate in a dream.

When you close your eyes to go to sleep, say to yourself over and over, “I will dream about my future lifetime mate.”

Ask your Angels or pray to God or your Higher Power to show you who your partner in life will be.

Put a rose quartz crystal on your night stand, under your bed, or wear it on a necklace while you sleep.

Keep doing this night after night until your lover comes to you in a dream.

A word of warning; your dream could have an unexpected twist to it. This is what happened to me fifteen years ago. My twelve year old niece called me with some love spell which she had read out of a book and wanted me to try it. I can’t remember what the simple ingredients were in this spell; honestly, I really didn’t expect anything to happen. That night I dreamed about four to five different men!

When I told my niece about my dream, her response was, “Ah, talk to my Mom.” After a few minutes my sister comes on the phone and said, “You just had to be difficult!”

Today, my interpretation of that dream was I still had some lessons to learn with men. I didn’t have four relationships, but I sure had a lot of dates. My Angels wanted me to have more relationship education before “Mr. Right” came in.

Have you had dreams about your future soul mate? Or a dream like mine? Please comment below. If you need help with love and relationships, please visit my other website Successful Relationships.

How to Understand Your Dreams’ Special Symbols

Your dream about a snake awakens you out of a sound sleep; now you’re pondering what does it means. You reach for your dream dictionary or click the dream app on your smart phone, look up what a snake means, and choose the meaning that seems right. Is that what your dream truly means? Well, maybe, but probably not.

Dream dictionaries/apps are very general and a great place to start; however, there is a lot more work that needs to be done. If you were having health issues, would you look up your symptoms, and trust everything you read? More than likely, you would seek a medical professional for an exact diagnosis. Dream interpretation is much more complicated than the meaning of one symbol, yet let’s use the snake example of what you could find in the following reference materials:

Christian Dream Interpretation – the snake in the Garden of Eden made Eve create man’s downfall, therefore snake is evil and represents bad temptation.

Dream Dictionary – someone who is cold or mean.

Animal Totem – transformation since snakes shed their skin.

Symbol Book – penis.

And don’t forget two snakes intertwining is the symbol for medicine. Are any of these or other interpretations of snake wrong? No they are not; instead they are all correct. Which snake symbol is right for the individual dreamer varies on what is going on in their life and how the snake made them feel. A recovering alcoholic is dreaming about a snake coiling around a bottle of gin and feels afraid. In this particular dreamer’s case it could be symbolic for they have been tempted to drink again and are afraid of a relapse. Another dreamer could have the same dream, although the snake represents their alcoholic, gin drinking father whom they feared as a child. Same dream, different meaning.

Other symbols and action will also influence the dream’s meaning. Tarot readers know that one card has a certain meaning, add a card or two and the first tarot card’s meaning is now changed. Here’s another example for those who don’t read the tarot; a red headed woman tells her three co-workers that she found a long blond hair on her husband’s shirt. One co-worker automatically thinks her husband is cheating on her. Another co-worker knows her daughter has long blond hair and thinks it’s her daughter’s hair. The third co-worker has met the husband who has long blond hair and assumes the hair is his. Can you see how one symbol can have many variables?

[image error]This month’s In the Dreamtime column dream was submitted by a reader who dreamt of snakes, along with other symbols. If you would like to read another dream about snakes and the interpretation, please visit Bellesprit Magazine.

Have you ever dreamed about snakes? Did you understand their meaning?
