Dream Meanings of Bugs and Insects

Have you ever had dreams about insects? What kind of bugs were you dreaming about? One common interpretation for insects is to think about what is bugging you. If you flip through a dream dictionary or a book on symbolism you will find various meanings on the different types of insects; however, a dream’s symbol meaning will be altered for each dreamer due to their feelings in the dream, what is occurring in their life, or past events.

When I was a little girl, perhaps around ten years old, I had a dream about bugs. I can’t remember the details; nevertheless, what I do remember is being terrified. At the same time, I was so grateful that it was wintertime in New Jersey, while wishing summer would never come. Now, let’s imagine a ten year old boy had the same dream, would he have the same reaction that I did? That’s highly unlikely, in fact, it could have filled him with joy as he probably thinks creepy crawlers were awesome.

[image error]Let’s use the symbolism of bees that you could find the following meanings in a symbolism book or dream dictionary: busy as a bee, sweet as honey, mad as a hornet, hard work that leads to prosperity, feeling stung, or being a queen bee. All these meanings may make sense in your dream, yet a dream meaning would change according to what is happening in the dreamer’s life. Someone has a dream about bees because they spent the day knocking down nests that the bees keep building on their front porch, or the dream might be a warning that there was a bee’s nest that they were unaware of.

For past events we can use ants as an example. Here are some basic meanings: patience, working for the benefit of the community, carrying a heavy load, your aunt, or feeling antsy. Again, those interpretations all make sense. But, what if you hate ants because as a child you fell on a red ant hill, got viciously bitten by these ants, and was rushed to the hospital. Those basic meanings wouldn’t be correct if you had a dream about ants; whereas the interpretation of an ant for the dreamer could be feeling attacked by someone or a group of people. Your dream might also be informing you to watch your step or take care of your health to avoid being admitted to the hospital.

If you have read my other blogs on dream symbols or dream dictionaries, you may think that I totally dislike dream dictionaries. This is not the case, although my concern is when people take their meanings at face value. Learning the secret language of dreams is complicated; however, you will receive a better understanding of the dream’s message if you focus on what you’re were feeling in the dream, how it might relate to past events, or what is occurring in your life today.

3 Dream Meanings for Cheating in Love Relationships

Whether you are in a committed relationship or married, having a dream about your partner cheating on you will trigger an array of emotions, although so would a dream about you two-timing on your mate. Should these dreams be taken literally? Read the following three dream meanings to help you decide.

Fear of Being Cheated On

If you had a past relationship where your partner was unfaithful to you this might have triggered your dream. Unresolved issues from prior partnerships could cause suspicion, difficulty trusting, or looking for evidence of infidelity in your present love life. Your dream or dreams are pointing out to you to resolve and heal past events. Here are five tips to assist you:

Journal your thoughts and feelings, don’t be afraid to release your feelings of rage, tears, or whatever emotion you need to let go of.
Start the process of forgiving your ex.
Look within to discover the truth if you are truly ready to be in this current relationship.
Observe your mate’s behavior. Are they flirty, working late, staying out all night, or hiding whose texting or calling them? Or is your partner attentive, affectionate, or reliable?
You may need to resolve childhood issues with a counselor or coach.

Dissatisfaction with Your Relationship

When you have been faithful, yet dreaming of having an affair with someone else, the dream is alerting you of not being satisfied with your love partner. You could be bored, feeling neglected, or angry with your mate. This dream is pointing out that changes in your relationship need to occur. Take action by:

Ask yourself if you still love your other half.
Write a list of the pros and cons of your relationship to determine whether you should leave or stay.
Be accountable for what you’re doing in the relationship, instead of focusing on his/her actions. (I know that’s not easy to do.)
Think about what the two of you used to during the courtship stage in order to bring the spark back into the relationship.
Focus on what brings your partner joy; however, you should be comfortable with it. Please stop if it makes you feel degraded.

Warning Dreams

Sadly, there are times your dream of being cheated has already occurred or a precognitive dream that this could happen in the future. Before jumping to conclusion and accusing your significant other, I would suggest using the tip that was suggested earlier in the blog by observing their behavior. You can also:

Mention the dream you had, while paying attention to their reaction.
Listen to the still voice within in regards to your mate being faithful.
Act, don’t react. What that means is before confronting your partner, scream, journal, punch a punching bag or whatever to release the majority of your emotions. This will stop you from imprisonment or being the star of a viral video on the internet!
Ask yourself if this relationship is worth saving.
Begin the healing process, whether the relationship continues or dissolves.

Dream Messages from My Teeth

I am pleased that Katherien Lundin has written another guest blog. Her personal experience demonstrates how precognitive dreams are very symbolic, while illustrating how this dream helped to prepare her for an upcoming challenge. Also, her dream shows how one symbol’s meaning can be affected by other symbols in our dreams. Some people think that all they have to do is go to a dream dictionary to have the answers to their dreams meaning; however, it is so much more than that, as you will see in Katherien’s post.

My family has always had a strong belief in the power of dreams for upcoming omens and predictions for significant future events. Many dream interpretations and meanings have been passed from one generation to the next. Dreams do validate intuition and do open the pathways for communication with the other side.

As a clairvoyant medium I do always feel connected and open to all that surrounds. Since I was a child, I have always received messages through vivid dreaming and do believe in their symbolism as well as clarity of showing upcoming events for myself as well as those that are close to me.

The topic of ‘”Teeth” especially the loss of has always held significance to me because of the validation it served me about the upcoming loss of father a year prior to his passing. My dream is as follows:

I was wearing a long black coat standing on a hardwood store inside a book store of some sort. There was water on the floor and I was turning the display turntable filled with postcards. As I was reaching to pick a postcard that had caught my eye I felt something funny in my mouth. I put my hand to my mouth and when I opened it, I felt my teeth fall into my hand. I looked at my hand and noticed my teeth were falling out. All of my teeth were falling out into my hand. I looked at my hand full of my teeth and looked on the wet floor. Upon waking I felt tears falling down my face as my heart was pounding.

My father was away on a trip at the time and a few days later I received a postcard from him. I knew at that moment that my father was going to pass. I did go on to having several more dreams foretelling his loss.

We cannot ever truly be prepared for the loss of a loved one and one cannot ever know the exact timing of this; however, it is my belief that sometimes we do receive warning in order to prepare our hearts and our souls for the upcoming pain of losing someone dear.
