Dreams of Cleaning
Cleaning in a dream usually is symbolic of purging whatever is no longer needed; yet, it is also means that you are purifying something in your life. Scenes from a cleansing dream could be in the home, car, work, in the shower, and so forth. Here are three dream examples to help illustrate dreams of cleaning, two of them are mine.
[image error]Dream
Tools used during the cleanup give additional dream meaning. For instance, back in 1990 I had the following dream:
I was feeling tired while raking leaves on the front porch of my childhood home. Looking down, I noticed that there was a massive amount of leaves on two sets of stairways, a landing, and the leaves extended past two other houses.
Interpretation
In this dream the rake indicates strenuous work taking into account that is how I feel about raking, which I was using to tidy up the porch. Since the scene is from my childhood home with dead leaves all around, I’m obviously cleaning up childhood issues. What’s interesting about the dead leaves symbolism is how well it goes with the raking of old issues from the family tree. Mega amounts of leaves are symbolic of that this will be an enormous endeavor. And it was, although, so worth it! During the healing of my childhood wounds, I had this dream several more times; however, there were less leaves in each recurring dream.
Dream
Another type of cleansing dream is washing your body, which can have various meanings, due to the fact of: how dirty you are, the part of your body you’re washing, if there are other people in the dream, and how you are feeling. As in the example of my client’s dream:
I was in the shower almost naked except for my underwear. I wanted to take them off, but then my boss came in giving me a bottle of shampoo. I told her that I didn’t like the brand of shampoo. She said to use it. When she walked out, I felt relieved that I had on my underwear because she didn’t see that part of my body.
Interpretation
My client is struggling with a need for independence and to set boundaries with her boss. Her boss giving her shampoo she doesn’t like, represents how she doesn’t like her ideas, nor their effects on her thinking. Keeping her underwear on during her shower is symbolic of the need of protection and safekeeping her personal life private at work. The shower represents how the job is needed to undertake her life lessons.
Dream
Last night, I had a dream where someone else did the cleansing for me:
My childhood friend was working at a diner (in reality she doesn’t), so I went there to eat. At the end of my meal I saw a male worker take several of my boxes that had my business files in to another room. I rushed after him and opened one of the swinging doors to find my boxes. A woman in a business suit told me, “You’re not allowed in here.” I explained how it was imperative that I have my boxes back because they were important for my business. Her response was, “It is too late, and they have already been thrown out.” I felt surprised at my response how relieved I felt those boxes were gone, as I walked out of the diner.
Interpretation
My first thought as I opened my eyes was there are things in my business I no longer need. This makes sense since it was a childhood friend at the diner, along with the feelings of relief as a part of my business was thrown out. The worker throwing out my business boxes represents my feelings of concern as things are shifting in my career, which I have no control of. Yet, the feelings of relief means to let go trustily, for there are better things coming.
Have you ever dreamed that you were cleaning something? What was it?

Got Problems? Solution Dreams to the Rescue
Unresolved issues can create havoc in your life, yet getting an answer for your predicament during your waking life could prove to be impossible. At times, we, humans, focus on the problem causing us to become overwhelmed; therefore, any ideas towards resolutions are blocked.
Throughout history, people have been using their dreams to find answers to their dilemmas. Some of these famous people were Albert Einstein, Elias Howe, and Joseph was freed from slavery by the Egyptian Pharaoh to become a high-ranking advisor. A Canadian surgeon, Frederick Banting’s, mother died from diabetes, which inspired him to discover a cure. What is interesting is he had a dream where he watched surgery performed on the pancreas of a dog to block any nourishment from entering into the pancreas. This dream prompted him and his medical student, Charles H. Best, to do surgery on a dog’s pancreas and discovered the insulin in the hormones. Doing further experiments lead to using insulin to help cure diabetes. Frederick Banting and John Macleod were awarded a Nobel Prize in 1923. It’s truly amazing how that one dream led to aid an enormous part of the human population. Can you imagine if he never had that dream?
[image error]You can use solution dreams to help you with what to study in school, making career choices, improving your love life, solving money problems, where you should relocate to, or any other problems you need solutions to. Sometimes you will get answers in your dreams to your issues without asking, other times you must ask.
Here is how to request a resolution to your dilemma. Right before you go to bed write down your problems on a piece a paper, in your smart phone, or on a computer. If you prefer to just think about your issue that works too. Then ask for a solution to come into your dreams. I prefer to ask my Higher Source for help. Use whatever name you choose to call a Higher Source: God, Goddess, Jesus, Buddha, Angel, and so forth. You may get your answer the first night or it could take anywhere from a few days to a week.
Here’s a personal dream of mine from my book The Secret Language of Dreams that provided information to aid me in a career decision:
I used to do psychic readings for popular adviser lines. That line was like working at a fast food restaurant. I had one client after another, who wanted their information quickly, and some of them treated me poorly. A psychic friend of mine called those lines “minimum wages for psychics.” One night I asked my guides, “Should I leave the line I was currently working for.” I dreamed that I was at an old bookkeeping job that I worked for in the early eighties. Yes, I know it’s hard to believe I was a bookkeeper, but it is a good skill to know for being self-employed. Even though I learned a lot of lessons from that job, I was very unhappy there. That dream represented my current position and gave me the courage and confidence to leave that line. I have never regretted it.
Please note how key my feelings of unhappiness helped provide the solution – it was time to leave. However, if I had been contented in my former job, that would have been a sign to stay.
Upon getting a solution dream pay special attention to your emotions, along with the actions occurring, and the symbols, which will help you to interpret the meaning of your dream. Just an FYI, there are times you won’t get an answer, for the reason it is not the right time to form a decision or the situation will sort its self out. If this happens to you, please don’t let that stop you from asking for a solution dream in the future.
Has a dream ever given you a direction to take in a situation? Would you be interested in experimenting with solution dreams? Dreaming of Spiders
Creepy crawlers, arachnids, or spiders bring fear to many in waking life and can even cause accidents when someone is trying to avoid them. Spiders are eight legged carnivores that have homes all over the world. They have been on our planet for millions of years in fact the oldest known fossil spider is 380 million years old. These eight legged creepy crawlers are helpful because they keep your space free from other insects that can be considered as pests. Spiders help the whole planet in a similar way, preventing many destructive pests from becoming dominant. An arachnid’s web is made of silk that is among the strongest, most elastic of natural fibres. Albeit all of these amazing features we still hold fear about spiders in our waking and dream world.
[image error]Dreams about spiders can and do evoke many emotions and fears. The symbolism tied to spiders is often vast and does correspond in waking life.
Denoted as feminine, these eight legged insects can represent an overbearing and oppressive matriarch or even a female in your life that can be territorial and even predatory.
An arachnid is an insect or a bug, and for a lot of us can simply mean we are going to be coming down with a bug. A cold or flu bug to be exact, a virus sometimes of tarantula proportion. Like the itch inside a throat to an upcoming sniffle.
To see a spider in your dream can also indicate that you are feeling like an outsider in some situation. An outsider spinning their web of thought in an isolated corner, hiding from ridicule, recognition or even just wanting to be alone.
If you dream of a spider with her web this does often forecast with their web changes to a difficult situation and or a difficult person spinning a web around you. Being caught in a spider’s web often does literally show us fear of being trapped or that we may become tangled in someone’s issues. A web is a warning to be cautious for you are about to become the spiders prey.
Spiders in dreams are harbingers of pests, bugs, and fears that can do help us find clarity of our difficult people and situations in waking life.

Messages of Love from the Departed
You’ve awaken from an intense dream where you were with someone who is deceased. Was it just a dream or a visit? This happens more than you think; in fact, it’s really a common occurrence. Our departed loved ones visit us in a dream as it’s much easier for them to connect to us than when we are awake. People on the other side energies vibrate at a higher level since they’re not weighted down by the physical body low level vibration. We, Earthlings, dream in a higher frequency level, allowing the deceased to have effortless communication with us.
Let us go back to the question of whether it was an actual visit or just a dream. Usually a visit is a short dream without much action where words and/or feelings are being exchanged. While a regular dream often has action, symbolism, and might have a theme of unresolved issues. However; there are also dreams where there are mixtures of visits, signs, and activities for us to interpret the messages from the deceased. Frustrating, I know; yet who said communication with the departed or dream interpretation was easy. Even the most gifted medium receive messages that are open to interpretation or the client will only understand the meaning days, months, or even years after the reading.
[image error]Purrfect Protector
Here’s a personal experience that happened to me last week that combines aspects of dreaming of the deceased from the above paragraph. I felt the presence of an unrecognizable spirit in my home for a couple of days. When it first happened, I felt fear for a minute, yet I knew my home is protected from energetic intruders. What was strange is that my cat, Merlin, slept next to me for the majority of the night during this time, when it’s usually my kitty, Rhiannon. Ah, Merlin my protector! Understanding of what was occurring became clearer in my dreams.
Dreaming of My Big Crush When I Was in High School
I was with Jimmy Muller in a very messy room, dishes in the sink, and empty pizza boxes. He said to me, “That life was hard and he had moved too many times.”
Another scene was when I was with his sister, Cindy, who had a letter for me from Jimmy that I felt impatient to read. But she showed me a card he wrote to a woman I didn’t know.
Upon awakening, I was totally baffled by why I dreamed of him when I hadn’t thought of him in decades. I was so infatuated with him at sixteen; nevertheless, a love relationship between us wasn’t in the cards, no matter how much it wounded me way back then. Jimmy did become a close friend; although life circumstances parted us in our twenties as he went on to become married with children, and I choose a different lifestyle of personal/spiritual growth.
After pondering what could it mean, I decided to go on Facebook to see if I could find him because maybe he was in trouble or perhaps had died – I hoped not! He wasn’t there, so a messaged a friend. She told me that he passed away last year from lung cancer, while confirming that he did have a hard life with a divorce and issues with alcohol.
You may be wondering why it took so long for him to contact me when he passed away last year. Spirits are not trapped in time and space like we are. Another reason is some people who cross over need to go through a healing process before they can acclimate to the great beyond. And here you thought that when you die all you had to do was eat bonbons and chill out with God. Ha! There’s work for you to do over there, too.
Part of my dream’s message was about his sister, Cindy; incidentally, I was an instrument in God’s plan to introduce them to each other back when I was sixteen. Decades later, it was time for me to pass on a message to her. I requested to be friends with her on Facebook and messaged her about my dreams. The next morning I knew it was his spiritual presence I felt, he wanted to give us both the message of love and to his sister the word forgiveness, which I also let her know.
Fast forward a few days later, I wondered why I didn’t receive more of a personal message from Jimmy, when I remembered another scene from the dreams of him that I had forgotten about.
We were sitting next to each other in pajama bottoms when someone came along and criticized our clothing. I responded that I was comfortable and he agreed while putting that person in their place, I felt an energetic bonding between us.
Are you thinking what in the world that was about? My business suits are pajamas, sweat pants, gym clothes, and other types of comfortable clothing since I work from home. Some people have criticized the type of work I do, along with the clothing I wear. I know the dream was symbolic of how he approved of my lifestyle and business.
Jimmy’s visitation is proof that love never dies! We all have hard times in life, yet don’t discount the sweetness in life either. Everyone has a choice on how to overcome hardship, as well as how to live our life. Every life teaches us how and how not to live; therefore no life is ever truly wasted. In the end, forgiveness and love is what really matters.
Rest in peace, Jimmy Mueller, during your free time on the other side may you play your guitar, do artwork, and if you want – eat bonbons with God!
How about you, did a deceased loved one ever visit you in a dream? Please feel free to share your experience or any thoughts in the comments below.

What is a Microphone’s Dream Meaning?
When I contemplate the meaning of a microphone, I can’t help but think of its connection to our fifth chakra or as some people call it the throat chakra. This chakra is all about clear communication, whether that is through speaking or writing. For some the throat chakra needs to be cleared so they can speak up to enhance their personal growth. While others fifth chakra needs to be less open to avoid being a blabbermouth speaking nonsense.
You may be or will become tired of me saying that dream symbols have many meanings; however, it is what makes learning the secret language of dreams so fascinating, as one symbol has a multitude of possible interpretations. I recently had a dream about microphones, hence the inspiration for this blog. Let me give you some background before I reveal my dream.
My angels and guides have been pushing me to do online courses, which has prompted me to do a ton of research on the internet. There are great sites where I can put my courses for a monthly fee or a percentage of my course that I might do in the future. Just for today, I decided to go with platforms that have an enormous customer base, although they take a bigger chunk of the earnings. However, I wouldn’t need to do as much marketing as I would on my own, leaving me with more time to focus on my writing, creating courses, working with clients, and of course, being a loyal servant to my two cats. One of these companies is located in the UK that requires you to send an email to see if your course is a right fit for them. Sending them an email could have prompted me to have the following dream:
A man was sitting in the middle of a large room where I was going to be speaking. He had two expensive microphones in front of him. Those were the types of microphones I want, I thought to myself. I asked him why he had two microphones, but I don’t recall his answer. Then I felt someone in the background who had strong male energy.
This dream is short, yet filled with meaning. What is interesting is I have never met this man in my waking life; nevertheless, he was in another dream of mine about six months ago. Perhaps, he is a spirit guide? To me this dream meaning was a no-brainer, since I only have a headset microphone, would like a superior one, and knew it was also prompted my online research. Still, why were there two microphones?
Now if I grabbed my dream dictionary or clicked on a dream app like many people do, here’s some of the common interpretations:
Be more forceful.
A man named Mike.
Stating your views.
Expressing yourself.
People hearing you.
Yes, I see how all those symbolism for a microphone can be correct, in spite of giggling over the name Mike interpretation. Who knows, maybe that’s my guide’s name? (Giggling some more.) It still doesn’t answer the question of why two microphones. Here is where the beauty of how our waking life’s timing gives deeper meanings to our dreams.
Fast forward several days later, I received two emails from the UK. One was a reply from the course company, while the unexpected email was from a woman (who has a publishing company) inquiring if I would be interested in writing a book for her. Now the two microphones meanings are becoming easier to comprehend, for they represent two forms of expression, how cool is that! Also, in the dream there was a male energy in the background. Here is where scrutinizing a dream is the key; although the email was from a strong woman, her publishing company in the dream was symbolized by male energy. Publishing companies can be very corporate, some are extremely ridged, and in the past were mainly run by men. Perhaps, more will be revealed in this short dream as I’m investigating this woman’s publishing company.
Update – it seems another author is commissioned to write their book. Could the male energy I felt in the background mean I’ll be writing a book for them in the future? Or to put this company behind me, while focusing on what’s in front of me? Time will tell…
Did you ever have a microphone in your dream? Or have a short dream with tons of interpretation?
I will keep you informed of my upcoming online dream courses. To learn more about dreams, please check out my book Learn the Secret Language of Dreams.

Water Symbol Has Many Different Dream Meanings
[image error]We need water to stay alive, the Earth is about seventy-five percent water, and on average, most human beings bodies are sixty percent water. No wonder a large amount of my clients dream about water! There are two main interpretations for water. The first is cleanliness, for how could we clean without it? Secondly, water is symbolic for our feelings; which is why one suit of the tarot’s minor arcade uses the cup symbol for the fourteen emotions cards.
More basic meanings of water are as follows:
Calm water means feeling peaceful.
Static water represents feeling stuck.
Rough water expresses turbulent emotions.
Clean water is for issues or emotions that have been cleansed.
Dirty water shows how certain areas need to be cleared up.
Did you notice how I said basic meanings for water?
When you look up any symbol in a book or app on dream interpretation or symbolism those are simple definitions, your dream has other signs in it as well. When you mix in all the different symbols, types of feelings, and what has occurred in your past or present those simple meanings get very complex.
Here’s part of a dream a reader sent to my February 2016 In the Dreamtime column:
The following night I was floating in the public sewage during daylight while waiting for a man to get out with me. I grew impatient waiting for him and tried to escape by going further into the system, but was blocked by a row of buoys and had to turn around.
One meaning of this dream can be she is waiting for this man to get his shi*t together, although she is tired of being patient it is not time to leave him. Another way to interpret this dream is they are both stuck in a poopy system; however, he is more enmeshed.
Now, let’s just change the feeling of impatience to anticipation of being with her lover. Do you see how this could change the whole dream meaning? An interpretation may be even though there are some crappy issues in their relationship, she will not allow those problems or others to part her from her man; therefore, she will turn around and wait for him.
What if the water is clean instead of a cesspool? An interpretation of the dream could be these two people have done a lot of work on their relationship, yet she is further ahead in terms of self-growth. There is a part of her that wants to move forward without him, but the way is blocked because they still need to be together to accomplish further growth as a couple.
Can you see how changing the water or person’s emotion alters the dream meanings? When we add more people to the scene, put in boats, or if different types of sea life are added in the dream – there could literally be thousands of more meanings. Which is why you must examine your dream thoroughly.
How often do you dream about water? Have you had any dreams you like to share in the comments?
Would you like to learn how to interpret your own dreams? Then check out the dream interpretation coaching web page. Are you curious what your dreams mean, but don’t have the time or desire to learn how to interpret your dreams? The simple solution for you is a dream interpretation email or a session by phone or Skype.

Why Am I Dreaming of My Ex?
My clientele ask me the blog title’s question quite often. If you broke up with someone recently or even a couple of years ago, it makes sense that you would dream about them. What truly baffles my clients are when they dream of an ex-lover from decades ago. Our dreams often help us process feelings, thoughts, as well as our true heart’s desire, which we are either in denial about or too busy during the day to acknowledge. Dreaming about an ex-mate is helping you heal.
Here are seven common dreams about an ex-boyfriend or ex-girlfriend:
Getting back together.
Making love.
Catching them cheating on you.
Arguing with one another.
Feeling the distance between each other.
Having a conversation.
Reenacting a common issue in the relationship.
These seven dreams can have infinite dream meanings as explained in the first paragraph of the blog “Many Dream Meanings for Home Invasions.” Therefore, I will use general interpretations for these dreams.
Let’s go with the positive dreams first. When you dream about getting back together, making love, or having a conversation this could mean that you desire to be a couple again. A different way to interpret these three dreams are the relationship has not reached a conclusion, in other words this chapter is not over yet. Lastly, these can be precognitive dreams of reuniting as a couple.
The negative dreams of your ex-partner cheating on you, the two of you in an argument, or being distant with one another is pointing to what is unresolved with one or both of you. These are issues that are hanging on that need resolution before you can move forward in life or into another love relationship. Take the time to process your feelings and thoughts. It is also important to look at what were your flaws in the relationships. Determine why you choose this person and the lessons you needed to learn. Work towards forgiving this person, while being grateful for all the gifts you received from your time together. I know this is not an easy process, nor to accomplish, although it is worth the effort for the freedom you will receive.
I saved the seventh dream of reenacting a common issue for last, due to the fact that this can be the most baffling of all. This type of dream is truly frustrating when the ex-lover is from decades ago and you haven’t thought about them for numerous years. These dreams may have symbolism that is difficult to figure out. Or it’s easy to figure out, but banging your head to comprehend why you’re dreaming of this issue. There is always a reason why, although each dreamer’s reason depends upon lots of factors. Review what is going on in your present life to determine how the past ex-mate is related.
The following paragraph from my book Learn the Secret Language of Dreams sums it up nicely:
One of my clients was so upset about having dreams about her abusive ex-husband because she was now in a good relationship with a very loving man. She had done much inner work on herself and could not understand why she was still dreaming of him. My guides reassured her the dreams did not mean she wanted him back, nor would he come back into her life. The dreams were to help her cut the final thread of the rope of that type of dysfunctional love to allow healthy love more fully into her life.
