The Danger of an Inconsistent Attitude

Attitude is built on consistency and discipline; you must create this in yourself before you can display it to others. Inconsistent behaviors – not following through on commitments, being unreliable – reveal to those around you that you are untrustworthy and don’t care. By learning to keep your promises to yourself, you build confidence and change how you and others perceive you.

Do What You Say You Will Do

Ask yourself this question, and then give yourself an honest answer – Do you do what you say you will do? Do you show up late when you say you will be somewhere at a specific time? When you tell your team you will meet a deadline, do you meet it on time? When you say you will take care of something, do you do it – or tend to forget? These are the type of things that will determine if people can rely on you and say you are a dependable person. When you fail to follow through with your commitments, then it leaves others feeling frustrated and unimportant. Inconsistent behaviors create an atmosphere of distrust, damaging all types of relationships, so if you are presenting this way, it is time to make a change.

Follow Through = Confidence

Making plans, committing to them, and following through on your commitments is the secret to building confidence. If you lack confidence, you likely continue breaking promises to yourself. It is so easy to slip down the slope of excuses–I’m too tired; I want to watch this TV show; I want to talk to my friend–whatever you choose to be distracted by becomes your barrier to seeing results. Anyone can make a list or give lip service to a commitment, but it takes discipline to create follow-through and confidence.

Whatever it is in your life that you want to move forward with- your job, career, self-development, family, a relationship- it takes an intentional commitment to carry out your goals. When you say you are going to build your business, grow your authority and scale your impact, impact the world, crush sales, or build a million-dollar business, and you don’t make your best effort to accomplish these goals, then you erode your trust in yourself. This matters because your relationship with yourself is the building block for relationships with others. You must believe that your word matters and it is worth something.

Plan With The Daily Five

The most important step you can take toward increasing your productivity actually occurs before the work for the day begins. Being productive starts with having a “self” planning meeting to determine the essential task that has to happen today. Once you isolate the most critical goal, list four more items you need to accomplish. I use a psychological productivity tool called the Daily Five with my clients, where they make a master list and “brain dump” everything they can think of that needs to be accomplished. From this lengthy list, they determine the top five things for the next day.

So, why five? Because long lists tend to overwhelm our brains, the list can become a distractor instead of being helpful. By creating small, achievable productivity goals, your odds of accomplishing the tasks at hand increase drastically.

Hold Yourself Accountable

No matter what five tasks you determine, they are meaningless without your commitment to doing them. Once you make this commitment, the execution of the tasks becomes non-negotiable. You are better never to commit than to commit and not follow through. By not carrying out your obligations, you train your brain that your words mean nothing, and a litany of negative processes begin to occur in your mind. Compare this to something you have committed to in the past, perhaps to stop smoking or not eat sweets–if you allow yourself to ignore your commitment just once, it becomes easier and easier to continue moving off the path.

It doesn’t matter what the commitment is; sticking with what you say you will do is crucial. By committing to accomplish your tasks, you are making a promise to yourself, and you must keep your word to yourself. Self-accountability actually creates a mindset that you can trust yourself to follow through with your obligations and see yourself as a person who holds yourself accountable for the work you said you would accomplish.

Start keeping your commitments to yourself. By doing this, it builds character, and character builds success. As the Growth Architect, I want to help you learn how to become more motivated, keep commitments, and hold yourself accountable to do what you said you would do. If you want to learn more about building your motivation, watch my video.

Growth Mapping To Reach Your Goals

Growth mapping allows you to look at your current location as a starting point and determine the plans to get you to the destination you want to reach. It helps to envision your growth map like an Excel spreadsheet containing all of the actions that need to occur to scale your business, accelerate your business growth, and reach your ultimate goals. It’s about growing yourself as a leader and growing your business. It’s about growing your team and building. Growth mapping is about moving forward.

Plan Your Destination

To begin the growth mapping process, you must know where you are and create a strong vision of where you want to be. To accomplish this task, take the plane to 30,000 feet and look at the overall terrain. This is not a time to look for details – your only goal is to determine where you are and where you want to land. Once this is determined, it is like making a flight plan from airport to airport to reach your destination. Without this vantage point and taking the time to plan the route, you will continually backtrack and waste valuable time and energy getting where you want to be. The goal is to reach your destination with the fewest obstacles.

Mapping And Strategy are Not Equal

The growth map is the overall view of where you are going and the route you want to take. Strategies are the individual pieces of the plan that will get you to your destination. The growth map will determine the order of the strategies you plan to implement to get you where you want to be. For example, you may determine you need to address lead generation, which leads you to work on your Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Google Ads, search engine optimization, blogging, and YouTube strategies to accomplish this.

Understanding the difference between mapping and strategy is essential because they are very different concepts. Growth mapping is the guide that gets you to your destination. In comparison, your strategies serve as the individual elements that help you reach your goals.

Reacting Is Not A Strategy – Be Deliberate

One of the easiest traps to fall into, whether you are a business owner, entrepreneur, founder, or seasoned business professional, is finding yourself spending your valuable time reacting all day. Instead of planning the day, the events happening around you determine what gets your attention. Rather than mapping out the day and deliberately taking action, one strategy at a time, and following the growth map to reach goals, you get distracted by everything around you and become a firefighter. When you continually react instead of being deliberate and intentional, staying focused on your ultimate goals becomes almost impossible.

At the Growth Architect, my goal is to help you develop a plan that will give you the growth map you need to help you reach your goals. If you want to learn more about creating a growth map, watch my video, and contact me when you are ready to develop your growth strategy!

The Fear Of Scaling Your Business

If you want to reach the next level, you must scale your business. This isn’t a secret, so why do so many business owners freeze when that time they are working toward finally comes? The idea around scaling requires a significant change in how you run your business, which is why so many people experience fear – it requires an emotional and mental shift. To overcome the fear, you must find a disciplined mindset to move forward into scaling your business, or you will continually move backward instead of pushing forward into the growth you desire.

To Grow, You Have to Scale

If you want to grow your authority, you must scale at some point. In working with hundreds of entrepreneurs, I have found that when this time comes, there is a hesitation that works like a push against you. Typically, you recognize what needs to happen, you create the plan to scale, you put strategies in place, and everything you need to do to grow your business is happening – this is precisely what you wanted – and then the day comes when you need to put money down to take that step into scaling and making it happen – and you stop. This critical point is where way too many entrepreneurs pause the process and never reach that next level.

You Can’t Replicate Yourself

You cannot scale yourself; you can’t be replicated. Scaling means that you find other people to do many things you have been doing. So, the best place to start is to understand who you are and what you do. Looking at your business in terms of everything you are doing allows you to see the areas where you need to scale so you can be more effective and efficient. I think of it as placing everything you do into different categories or buckets. You may have a bucket for sales, marketing, writing – whatever it is that you are currently doing – and then fill it up with how you do things. For example, if you are writing, you will fill that bucket with everything you do in this category: emails, personal correspondence, blogs, articles, social media, and everything you do that involves communication.

When you look at each category of things you are doing in this way, you can easily see the areas where you need someone to be part of the process and free up time to accomplish other pieces of your strategy so you can grow. You cannot replicate yourself, but you can find great people who can do the tasks you are doing that will allow you to grow.

Expect Mental Resistance

The time is here to take the next step. This should be an exciting time – things are working as planned, and you are ready to level up! You planned for it. You manifested what you said you would do in this quarter, and here it is! This is your amazing opportunity – but it will cost you money – and you quickly shift from excitement to fear. Can you afford it? Do you have enough cash flow? What if something happens? Every negative thought and feeling pops into your mind, trying desperately to pull you back to where you were – back to your safety zone. This is what fear of scaling looks like.

In your subconscious, your brain is volunteering tons of thoughts and scenarios of every single thing that can go wrong. This is based on past experiences – not this experience, because this one is new – but based on every single thing that has ever gone wrong in the past. You need to expect mental resistance from your brain before you begin this process because it will happen. Your brain is wired for safety, and new experiences rarely feel safe. To overcome this fear of scaling, you must prepare yourself for the mental resistance.

Exercise Discipline

It takes a disciplined mindset to overcome these thoughts, but you win the thought battle by recognizing the negative thoughts and fears and then pausing and telling yourself that your goal is to get to the next level, and this opportunity is how you get there. Remind yourself that this is a normal response, but you can recognize it, manage it, and overcome the fear of scaling. Now is not the time to freak out and move backward. Now is the time to be disciplined and move forward toward growth.

At the Growth Architect, my goal is to help you develop a business strategy that will give you the tools you need to scale your business. Yes, scaling can create feelings of fear, but you can learn to overcome these fears and reach the next level of your business. To understand more about overcoming the fear of scaling, what my video.

How To Declutter Your Desk – Do, Delegate, Delete, Delay

If you are looking at a messy desk, and you don’t know where to start to clean it up and get through that pile of clutter, then you can do what I call the “4-D’s” and stop sitting right on top of it.

Just Get It Done!

Stop looking at the mess and thinking about how you should clean it up and do it! Do it; be done with it – stop thinking about it.

Delegate Tasks

Look at the things on your desk and delegate. If someone on your team can take care of something sitting there, let them do it. Don’t let it remain there waiting if you can delegate that item.

Delete Junk

If it is not important, then delete it. Right now, throw it away and get it out of your workspace.

Delay for Later

When you find things that need to be addressed in the future, then make a file and place it there. You may have items on your desk that you can’t do now, but they need to happen this summer, next year, or later. Make files for Q1, Q2, Q3, or Q4 and place items in the correct quarter so you can access them then.

At the Growth Architect, I want to help you find ways to increase your productivity and reach your goals. If you like this, check out my YouTube channel and find dozens of videos on ways to help you grow your business.

3 Things Entrepreneurs Should Do Right Now

If you are an entrepreneur and searching for ways to drive your business forward, there are three things that you should start doing right now. The main objective of increasing productivity is cutting down distractions and learning to be intentional with your time. Finding strategies to stay focused, manage your projects, and reduce noise can help prevent entrepreneurial ADD and help you reach your goals.

Unsubscribe From Things You Don’t Read

To increase your productivity – eliminate distractions. One great way of doing this is to unclutter your email inbox and unsubscribe from the things you don’t use or read. This is important because it cuts down on notifications, and unnecessary emails keep you from finding and using the emails you actually need. Many people never delete the emails they didn’t use, which creates a messy inbox full of junk mixed up with the good stuff you need – get rid of it. Don’t worry about hurting someone’s feelings; if you are not reading it, unsubscribe and move on. This will allow you to cut down on some of the noise and focus.

Use A Project Management Software

If you are using email to manage your team and keep projects organized – stop –it’s time to move on. Email is the absolute worst way to communicate with your team and keep your world organized. Get into the habit of using a project management software like Trello or Asana. I love Asana; others use Basecamp or Monday – it doesn’t matter, pick the one that works for you and start placing every project into a workflow. This will reduce the number of emails you are getting and the time you waste looking for things. Another plus to project management software is having your to-do list with due dates right in front of you. If anything gets stalled in the workflow, you can see exactly where the work paused and address it to get things moving again. All entrepreneurs should be using one – start today!

Be Deliberate With Time

Learn to be deliberate with your time. If you give yourself a timeout – be intentional – don’t just let it happen; plan it. If you give yourself 10 or 15 minutes for a coffee break, set the timer and get back to work. The goal is to keep your brain focused, which is more complicated than it seems. When you strive to concentrate for an extended period, your brain will try to escape from the activity. You will find yourself tempted to check Facebook, the news, or whatever your distraction of choice is. To trick your brain into staying on task, plan your breaks. Set your timer to work in focus for 45 minutes, and refuse all distractions during that time. When the timer goes off, you give yourself 10 or 15 minutes to break and make that phone call, check your Instagram, or tune into the news – whatever tries to pull you away from your work.

Every entrepreneur needs to find ways to become more deliberate about how you run your business and how you operate your time. Once you determine patterns of distraction, you can remove these barriers and really begin to drive your business forward.

At the Growth Architect, we want to help you find strategies to increase your productivity and multiply your results. That’s what we do! If you enjoyed this article on cutting distractions and managing your time, watch my video

Masterclass: Authority Building

If you want to become an expert in your industry, stand out from everyone else, and make people notice you, then it’s time to learn how to build your authority. The truth is, growing your business is about more than just being seen; it’s about knowing how to build your authority to attract the right kind of prospects to your business, keep people in your pipeline, nurture them, and turn them into clients. That’s what we call authority platform building, and it is what you must learn to do to build your client attraction system.

You Know Your Why – Now What?

Authority and impact are intricately connected, and the clients I work with all have a deep desire to help others. Each of them started their company because they figured out something that allows others to live more prosperous, healthier, or more successful lives. Their purpose is wrapped in impact, which is a great goal and motivation for doing what they do. The one thing they all have in common is that they come with a ton of passion and are ready to leave their mark on the world – but they can’t figure out how to stand out in an ocean of other people.

Stand Out From The Ever-Growing Competition

If you have encountered this challenge of standing out, then you know exactly what I am talking about. It is hardly a new problem, but some variables have entered the mix that have made it even more difficult. Because the economy is not growing and layoffs have revved back up, there is an influx of new freelancers and entrepreneurs who have decided to chase their dreams. They have thrown their hat into the ring, and more providers are fighting for a shrinking piece of the pie. So, more than ever, it is absolutely critical that you establish yourself as the crystal clear authority in your industry in no uncertain terms. I have concrete steps you need to take to accomplish this goal, and I will teach each of them to you in my next Masterclass.

Build Your Client Attraction System

Setting yourself apart from the crowd and getting noticed is only useful if you figure out how to use this piece effectively. You must have a system in place with strategies to build your client attraction system. Without this system, you can be the authority all day long, but you will never build your clients and make money. If your goal is to find prosperity, have freedom, and impact others, this will be impossible if you cannot attract clients – you will remain the best-kept secret. If this resonates with you, and you feel like you have the pieces, but they are not connected, then my Masterclass will teach you how to figure out what parts are missing and help you fill those critical gaps.

Turn Up The Heat

I have never worked with anyone who came to me and said they aspire to be mediocre – that never happens! Everyone I work with comes to me and asks me to help them turn up the heat. They know what they want, are fantastic at what they do, and came to slay the dragon – they just need help putting all the pieces together. That is what we do. We help people turn up the heat, stand out, and make the impact you came here to make by creating the authority that only you have.

At the Growth Architect, my goal is to help people turn up the heat, stand out, and make the impact you came here to make by creating an authority that only you have. If you want to learn more about building authority, showcasing why you are the right person for the job, and building your client attraction system, then join my next Masterclass on this very topic.

Why Goal Setting Doesn’t Work For Most People

Everyone wants to reach goals, but most people will set them, and then they just can’t seem to follow through and achieve results. So, why does goal setting not work for most people, and is there something that can be done to increase the odds of reaching your goals? The answer is yes, and it all falls into priorities, passion, and the right mindset for change.

Everything Is A Priority

If you want to reach your goals, start by looking at your priorities. It is not uncommon to see organizations that present a list of 20 priorities – which makes nothing a focus – there are too many things to figure out what really matters. When you have too many priorities, then everything seems equally important, and it stagnates progress. I call this the Superhuman Paradox, a concept I coined in my book, Happy Woman, Happy World, which addresses feeling like you have to be the best at everything. Because of this all-or-nothing thought process, you can never measure up. This paradox happens when we look at all the things that other people are doing well, and think that we magically become an accumulation of all the great things they are accomplishing when each person is only good at one thing. How realistic is that goal? It’s not. These people are not great at everything; they are great at something, and you are setting yourself up for disappointment if you think you can become a superhuman that is number one at multiple things.

When you can detach yourself from this false reality, it takes a great deal of pressure off of you, and you can stop feeling the unrealistic pressure to be excellent in multiple areas. If you want to reach your goals, narrow your priorities and stop trying to be the best at everything.

The Goal Doesn’t Evoke Passion

Another reason people are unsuccessful at reaching goals is because they sell themselves short and don’t set a goal that excites them. If you select a goal to accomplish 10% growth in your company, how does that goal spark passion and energy? But if you shift your goal and say that you want to reach $1 million, $5 million, or even $10 million in sales so that you can make that giving trip to Africa that you have always dreamed about, then you can create passion around the goal. Whatever your goal is, you have to have a reason that you want to pursue it. It has to be something you can really put your heart and soul into.

If you make the mistake of goals being set with your head only, then you will miss the spark that makes it something you desperately want to accomplish – something that is worthy of you, where there’s a meaning behind it. Make sure your goals are aligned with your mission and vision in life because boring, uninspiring goals are rarely reached.

Sabotage By Your Internal Boycott Mechanism

Lastly, your goal setting may not work because you are underestimating your internal mechanism that resists change and is designed to keep you exactly where you are right now. Psychologically, every change you make feels like a subconscious threat, and your internal voice begins to scream that you don’t need to do it. No matter how bad your situation is or how much you want it to change, your internal boycott mechanism will resist the change at all costs and tell you to stay where you are – the unknown could be worse. So, if you are setting goals that require change, you must prepare yourself for this internal challenge, or you will hear it, begin to make excuses, allow doubt to creep in, and over time, start to talk yourself out of your goal. Your internal voice will give you a multitude of the reason why you need to stay where you are because you are hardwired for safety, and change rarely feels safe.

So if you are setting goals and want to move forward with your life and make meaningful changes, you must make them with these concepts in mind: priorities, passion, and mindset preparation. At the Growth Architect, we want to help you break through the mindset that keeps you defeated and provide you with the strategies and tools to shift you into a positive mindset that allows you to reach your goals for your life and your business. 5 Ways To Grow Your Business

If you have a business, you are likely looking to grow, but you may be unsure of the steps to take to make it happen. Most people have tried things or looked at other companies and tried to mimic what they are doing, but often, these things don’t seem to work. There are specific elements that must be in place to grow your business. In this article, I will share the tools I have designed and used with hundreds of companies and entrepreneurs to grow your business immediately.

Determine Your Growth Blocker

The best way to start is by discovering what area in your business is blocking your growth. And growth is typically blocked by having deficiencies in one of these three areas – strategy, systems, or authority. Once you determine what is blocking your growth, you can begin taking the steps necessary to fix that part of your business. If you are unsure of your growth blocker, I have created a free quiz, and in two minutes, you can know precisely where you need to begin. This is the best place to start if you want to create a client attraction machine and grow your business.

Identify Misalignments

The next step in growing your business is to look for any areas that are out of alignment or have gotten out of order. In my 5 Star Success Blueprint, I will take you through the step-by-step process that evaluates specific components of your business and ensures that each piece is in order and properly aligned to take you to that next level.

To experience successful growth in your business, five areas must be aligned:

Idea and AudienceYour OfferSystems Management Team DevelopmentLeadership

Often, someone is excellent at one or two areas and then leaves out something that doesn’t come naturally to them. For instance, I spoke with someone today that does not like to make sales calls, and sales calls happen to be a big part of the offer. This means they will need to design a system to make them get on the phone and make these calls. The job of business is to drive sales and generate income, so you have to figure out where you are lacking and find a way to get realigned for growth.

Attract the Right Clients

Finding clients cannot happen by accident; this must be deliberate because every strategy you build is based on knowing who these people or companies are. Without knowing your potential audience, you cannot develop a client attraction strategy, and it will be almost impossible to experience growth.

If you aren’t clear about who your ideal audience is or if it has shifted, then it is time to go back to the basics. If this is where you are, I recommend starting with my Airtight Avatar. This is a foundational piece I give away for free to help you nail down who you are selling to. The downloadable guide will allow you to uncover exactly who you are targeting, and once you know your audience, you can take the following steps in your business strategy.

Grow Your Authority

To improve your expert status and become a dominant force in your industry, you must learn to establish a framework for building authority. The goal is never to be the best-kept secret; the goal is to reveal yourself as an authority and expose your brilliance to the world. I have put together a tool that allows you to evaluate the three elements of success for growing your authority. In my whitepaper, you will find out how to show up in the market right now. Whether you have a long-term brand-building plan or are just getting started, we can help you figure out how to get there quickly, so download the paper, read it, and begin implementing what you learn immediately.

Evaluate Your Strategy

Many people think this part is boring and may not be perceived as sexy, but the overall strategy cannot be overlooked in growing your plan. Once this piece is in place, it needs to be broken down into four sub-strategies implemented every quarter. Without a breakdown and a timeline, you will be tempted to place multiple programs and plans in all at the same time. If you are doing this, it is ineffective for your growth. You need to ensure that you don’t do more than one thing at a time – focus on one each quarter. I encourage you to check out our Ultimate Client Challenge, which will launch in February and allow you to look at all the different pieces you need to build a client attraction machine.

3 Mistakes Frequently Made When Growing Your Business

One of the most challenging problems business owners face is inconsistent growth. One year you have stellar results, your income goes up, and you think you have it all figured out; then, just like that, the wave drops back down, leaving you frustrated and confused. If you find your business in this up-and-down pattern, you are experiencing what I call an income sine wave. If you are on this rollercoaster and unsure of why you can’t grow consistently, then you are probably making a mistake in one of these three areas – strategy, systems, or authority building.

Develop A Personalized Strategy

Strategy is always critical; without it, you will wander around and waste time and energy. A solid business strategy is the one piece that allows everything else to fall into place and puts what you do into perspective. When I ask people about strategy, I get all kinds of answers. Some will say they don’t have one, and others think they have a strategy, but in reality, they are just copying what is working for someone else, having never developed a strategy specifically for their business needs.

Within a successful strategy, several business components must align for your overall business strategy to work – a marketing strategy, a branding strategy, lead generation sales – and to experience success, they all have to work together. This is why a cookie-cutter approach rarely works with strategy. If you do not have a solid strategy designed for your specific business needs, you are making one of the big mistakes in growing your business because your strategy puts everything you do into perspective.

Align Your Systems

Building a system is a vital part of growing a successful business. By aligning your systems with your strategies – workflows, blueprints, teams, onboarding, client services, communication, etc. – you can keep your business consistently moving forward. Often, this is the step in building a business that many people think is optional and can be overlooked – it can’t. You cannot grow your business without systematizing your business and putting processes and procedures in place. Do not skip this process because it seems overwhelming or something you can do without — you must have systems in place to grow your business effectively.

Build Your Authority

To create authority or expert status, you must build a deliberate client attraction strategy and system that is reverse-engineered, concise, and consistent. Building authority is not about becoming an influencer or going viral. It’s about revealing yourself as an authority and gaining exposure as an expert in your area of expertise. Most of us, especially those who talk and give advice, will rarely reach an influencer level, and that’s okay. The goal is not to go viral or obtain celebrity status. Your aim is to put the pieces together to reach expert status – speaking, networking, executive roundtables, LinkedIn strategies, masterminds, podcasting – whatever aligns with your strategy and personality. Building authority allows you to turn on the client attraction machine that will bring leads into your system and then convert them into sales and clients.

If your business is not growing, it almost always falls into one of these three areas – strategy, systems, or authority building. After reading this, you may have identified your problem, or you may be confused about your primary area of concern. At the Growth Architect, I want to help you determine which growth blocker you are experiencing and help you overcome it to grow your business. I encourage you to take two minutes to take my free growth blocker quiz – then you will know where to start to get out of the income sign wave and grow your business. 5 Key Skills for Entrepreneurs

Succeeding as an entrepreneur requires specific characteristics that allow you to focus on your goals and challenges to reach your vision. I have identified five prerequisites for entrepreneurs to push forward and experience success. By developing the traits of successful entrepreneurs, you increase the odds of reaching your goals and experiencing success.

Be Flexible

If you want to be successful as an entrepreneur, you must perfect the discipline of flexibility – the law of non-attachment. Let your data speak for itself, and resist being attached to something because you “like” it; that is the worst way to know where to spend your time and money. Just like with your body, flexibility requires practice and commitment – for most people, it does not come naturally, but when you make it a priority, you can get to a place where decisions are made on merit, not feelings.

Embody Tenacity

You will reach a place that I call the Messy Middle, where it’s dark and difficult, and you want to give up because it feels like you are not going to make it — like nothing is happening for you. This is when you must double down and realize that it is always darkest before dawn. It takes drive to dive into what needs to be done and keep pushing forward. Perseverance and tenacity are vital because you must stay the course when obstacles happen along the way. Regardless of the vision or courage it took to step in, determination is critical to success because it allows you to finish the process.

Build a Strategy

Unless you know where you are going, then it’s impossible to get there. Strategy is the plan that helps you reach your goal. Developing your strategy is essential to your success because it allows you to break your plan into specific action steps that will lead you to success. Once this is in place, you can build your systems and increase your authority platform. Establishing yourself as an authority will ignite the client attraction machine that will propel you to your goal. Don’t be afraid of strategy – it leads to results.

Stay Focused

Once you know where you are going and develop a strategy to guide you, you must stay laser-focused to reach your goals. One way to accomplish focus is to ask yourself probing questions – Will this action that I am going to take right now help me reach my goal faster? If the answer is no, it is more than likely a distraction.

Trust your strategy and stick to it – if you don’t need another event, launch strategy, or digital marketing strategy, don’t waste your time and attention on these unneeded things. Maximize, optimize, and align what you already have, and then focus on which piece you want to work toward. I always encourage my clients to only focus on one strategy per quarter.

Understand Leadership

When I say leadership, I don’t mean some “pie in the sky” theory type of leading. I am talking about the kind of leadership that allows others to do their jobs to the point that you almost become obsolete. This is accomplished by putting great people in place who are fantastic at what they do and not micromanaging them. It’s the only way you will ever be able to scale your impact and grow your authority. You will never have time to lead if you do all the work. Place the best people around you and trust them to do what they do best.

Yes, your name is on it; your money is in it; your name is on the door; you came up with the idea – but your business is broader than just you. Lead in a way that makes your business larger than just you. At the Growth Architect, we want to help you break through with the tools you need to succeed in your business.
