From Catastrophe to Clarity: Prioritizing Purpose Over Possessions
There’s something deeply human about holding onto what we have. It’s mine. I earned it. I received it. It has the meaning we give it.
That’s why we often think of replacing the things we’ve lost because it’s what we know. The human condition is rooted in wanting to hold onto what’s familiar, the comfort of what we once had. When things get lost, we try to find their replicas in hopes that we can regain the comfort they once provided us. But as I’ve come to learn over the last few months, some things can’t be replaced, and some things I don’t want to replace and that realization is both painful and beautiful.
The Things We Can’t ReplaceNot everything can be restored to its original state. There are memories like mothers day cards, letters from my father who passed away 20 years ago, and my grandmother’s pearls. These are items that reflect moments and people that are simply irreplaceable. No amount of shopping or decision-making can ever bring them back. A strand of pearls is now just that, they’ll never be the ones my grandmother wore.
I think of the George Hurrell original photographs that once hung above our sofa. I remember doing the homage to this great Hollywood glamour legend in my first job. How I met him in person and he drove with his old station wagon to meet me for lunch. A classic American, he ordered steak for lunch, cut everything in perfect pieces, then put his left hand on his left leg and continued to eat only with this fork. Being European this was so different to me that I had to look this up. Those were American table manners. His photographs were more than just art to me; they were part of the soul of our home. Every time I walked into the room, I was reminded of the memories attached to them — the warmth of our meeting, the stress of that first job as a photo editor. But now, those prints are gone and so is the letter he wrote me. And there is no replacement. The frames that once held those pieces of my life have vaporized along with everything else.
Then, there was the quirky painting that hung near the stairs. It was colorful, with primary colors and a cartoon cat. A simple, playful piece of art, but it held meaning because it made Baby Kayliana giggle every time I carried her downstairs and she saw it. There’s something about the way she responded to this piece of art — her unfiltered joy about “Kitty” is contagious, and it made me appreciate that painting even more. Now, it’s gone too.
Finding Familiarity in New ThingsWhile there are some things that can never be replaced, there are others that we can — and must — restore. It’s a process of first deciding and then reclaiming what we’ve lost, one small item at a time. Sometimes, it’s the little things that make the biggest difference. Every time I ask myself, do I want to replace this? Is this something I still need. Given the opportunity to simplify my life, do I need so much stuff?
My daughter recently found my favorite Coach purse — a Raspberry Metallic beauty I had bought ten years ago at a Coach outlet in Palm Springs. It was my favorite not just because of the color (which I still think is pure perfection), but because it was a piece of me, something I’d cherished for years. She searched unbeknownst to me and found it on a reseller site. I couldn’t believe it. She bought it for me, and now, it’s being delivered. It’s funny how an item like that can bring so much joy. Now it feels like a piece of me has been restored. It’s familiar, and yet, it’s new in its own way — a link to the past, and a symbol of moving forward.
There are other things too, like the glasses we bought years ago — the thick, stained-glass water/wine glasses we loved so much. We had eight of them, and when I walked into Home Goods the other day, I couldn’t believe my eyes: there were exactly eight left. The same number we had. Gary immediately washed one to drink from, and it felt like a small but meaningful victory — a piece of our past being restored in a simple, everyday moment.
The Overwhelming Nature of RebuildingBut even as we replace things, the process of rebuilding is overwhelming. With each decision, there’s a reminder of what we’ve lost and how much we still have to rebuild. It can feel like an endless cycle of choices, big and small, each one carrying a weight.
At first the flow of packages was like an Amazonian river, things arriving constantly— a never-ending flow of basics we needed to replace. But now, the trickle of deliveries has slowed. It’s a sign that we’re getting somewhere, but the process isn’t over. Bigger items are still on the list: skis, ski bags, hiking boots, and even steel-toe boots for me to go onto the site, something I’ve avoided because of the pain and destruction I fear encountering there. But it’s time to face it. It’s time to rebuild.
The act of rebuilding extends beyond things. It’s about my health too. It’s hard to feel the weight of loss when your body is tired, when you’re constantly crashing from exhaustion. It wears on you and booked somatic trauma release and body balancing. It would be nice to feel like myself again — to have energy most of the time, with only occasional crashes. It feels like I’m in daycare, learning new things, adjusting to the constant ebb and flow of recovery. New experiences. New words I never used before: “apocalypse,” “trauma,” “PTSD,” “rebuilding.” It’s like starting over. We’ve been burned to the ground, but we’re rebuilding — slowly, one step at a time.
Restoring the HeartThroughout this journey, I’ve been amazed by the kindness of others. It’s easy to get lost in the overwhelming nature of it all, but then, someone comes along and offers a lifeline — a reminder that we are not alone.
Yesterday, I had a call scheduled with Aurora, a guest from my podcast. When she saw the state I was in, she said, let’s not talk about me, let me gift you a coaching session. The moment she said it, I felt my carefully constructed armor melt away, and I was overcome with emotion. I am not well. I am hurting. The adrenaline of survival has worn off, and what’s left is a tender spot that needs attention. Aurora’s kindness helped me realize something important: the wound needs to be tended to, redressed, and loved. This process of healing is not something I can rush — it requires patience, care, and attention.
Aurora also reminded me that creativity often arises in the midst of chaos. How could I have forgotten that? Creativity isn’t something that happens when life is perfect; it often emerges from pain and struggle. It’s a reminder that I don’t need to push for it. Creativity is already bubbling beneath the surface, and I have to trust in divine timing. It will come when it’s ready, and I need to let it flow naturally.
Slow ProgressWe’re moving up — slowly, but steadily. There are still many areas of our lives that need attention, and the road ahead is long. But we’re not stagnant; we’re moving forward, one inch at a time.
Coming Back, SlowlyWe are coming back. Slowly. But we are coming. And as we do, we’re learning to say yes again — to bike rides, to walks, and to the little things that remind us of who we are. Gary and I are healing. We may be behind, but we are moving forward. And that’s what matters.
And as this process continues there is clarity that emerges that I will continue to write about. Out of ashes the Phoenix rises. As the fire forges something else emerges. The message, the mission and the vision.
I realize more than anything that the choice is to be a victim of the fire or the blacksmith. And I don’t do victim very well.

The One-Page Business Plan That Actually Works (No Eye Rolling Needed)
Let’s talk about something that makes most people cringe: business plans.
Be honest—what do you think of when you hear the phrase “write your business plan”?
Spreadsheets? PowerPoints? A six-month project. Projections. 60-100 pages filled with buzzwords and 5-year projections that have little relevance in real life?
Most people roll their eyes. Some freeze. Most just ignore it.
I get it. Traditional business plans are overwhelming. I have written one. And mine got funded, it took me six months. I worked on it every night and on weekends. Most traditional business plans feel like homework you can’t quite finish, even when you try. While you are working on it things change again. So what happens? You procrastinate. You stay stuck in “getting ready” mode instead of getting started.
But here’s the thing no one tells you:
You don’t need a complicated business plan.
You don’t even need a long one.
You need one thing: clarity.
This is the approach I teach inside my programs—and the one I used to launch and grow my own business. It’s simple, practical, and something you can actually use today.
It’s built around five questions. That’s it. Five. And they will change everything. You can get more detail in the 5-Star Success Blueprint.
1. What are you doing? What’s the core of your business? Are you offering a service, a product, an experience? Say it in plain language. Not “I help people align their energetic blueprint with their strategic purpose” (unless your audience talks like that). Say: “I help creatives launch their first offer.” Or, “I’m a brand designer for wellness entrepreneurs.” Or, “I write marketing copy for coaches.”
If you can’t describe what you do simply, your audience won’t get it—and they definitely won’t buy it.
2. Why are you doing it?This is the emotional fuel behind your business. Maybe you’ve experienced the problem your offer solves. Maybe you’re passionate about helping people avoid the mistakes you made. Maybe you see a gap in your industry that no one else is addressing.
Your “why” doesn’t need to be poetic—it just needs to be real and it needs to be aligned with your vision. And it will help you stay grounded when the road gets bumpy (because spoiler alert: it will).
3. How are you doing this? What’s your process or framework? How do you deliver your service? What makes your approach unique? This is where you begin to stand out. Even if 1,000 other people offer the same thing, no one else does it like you. Your Signature Growth System has to be clearly defined with the products and services you offer.
4. How will you find your clients? This is the piece that trips a lot of people up. You’ve got the skills. You’ve got the passion. But if no one sees you, it doesn’t matter. Visibility is everything. So, how are you getting in front of your audience?
What’s your lead generation plan? Is it social media? Free workshops? Email campaigns? Classic funnels? Collaborate with others? Pick 1–2 methods that feel aligned, and focus your energy there.
5. What are you selling them?Get specific. Don’t just say “I’m a coach” or “I’m an artist.” That’s what you are, not what you sell.
For example:
“I offer a 3-month creative mentorship program for burned-out entrepreneurs who want to reconnect with their passion and bring fresh energy to their work.”
That’s clear, outcome-driven, and way more compelling than just saying “I do coaching.”
This Plan Isn’t Just Simple—It’s StrategicNow that you’ve got clarity, here’s where the magic happens: you take action.
This one-page plan becomes your compass. You test, refine, and evolve it. You talk to real people. You make real offers. You collect real data. You start building a real business.
This is the part most people skip. They stay in their head. They wait until it’s perfect. But business doesn’t reward perfection—it rewards movement.
A Super Simple Plan gets you moving.
You Don’t Have to Do This AloneAnd if you’re reading this thinking, “Okay, this sounds doable—but I could use some guidance”, you’re in luck.
Because tomorrow, we begin our 8-week program: Turn Your Talent Into a Business
This is for creatives, coaches, strategists, and anyone sitting on a real skill—but struggling to package it, promote it, and profit from it. Don’t buy any internet marketing tactics like how to speak from stage, build a funnel, or get leads… None of this will do anything unless you know what your actual business model is and what problem you solve and for whom. And if it’s not connected to your soul, you are creating a job. That’s not why we are Entrepreneurs. You may as well make money with what you love to do.
Here are five reasons to join:
You’ll finally get clear on what your business is, how to talk about it, and what makes it different. You won’t do it alone. With weekly live sessions and a community of peers, you’ll stay accountable and supported. You’ll turn your ideas into action. No more spinning—this program helps you create a real plan that works in only 8-weeks. You will walk away with a business model and a plan. Guaranteed. You’ll learn how to market and sell what you offer. We’ll show you how to message your value so clients say yes. You’ll be in a safe peer-to-peer space. This is a judgment-free zone where you can grow, share, and get honest feedback. We take the big ideas and turn them into real results—without fluff, overwhelm, or trying to be someone you’re not.
This Is Your MomentIf you’ve been waiting for the right time, this is it.
If you’ve been searching for the missing link, you just found it.
And if you’ve been sitting on a dream, it’s time to stand up and build it.
The program kicks off tomorrow—and I’d love to see you inside.
Let’s take your talent and turn it into something the world not only sees… but pays for.

The Easy Way to Success is When Your Inner Drive and Your Soul Fire is Fused With Frictionless Strategic Execution
On the night of January 7th, I tried to figure out via short social media clips that Palisades residents posted if my office and podcast studio burned to the ground.
On the top floor of that office building was the container for my life’s work. A space where ideas turned into impact, where clients were served, stories were shared, tears were shed, victories celebrated and legacies were shaped.
It all burned to the ground.
Twitter https://www.linkedin.com/in/beatecheletteLinkedIn Facebook Google+ Pinterest What’s left in my Office
By the morning of January 8th, at 5 AM our home followed.
And our cars.
Everything we owned — gone. While we were on our honeymoon in Costa Rica.
When we got back a few days later I remember standing in the ashes, wearing the first donations of clothing that we had received the night before, the smell of smoke clinging to our community. I felt a deafening silence. Not a sound from a bird, no people, no cars, no neighbors walking their dogs. Nothing.
Twitter https://www.linkedin.com/in/beatecheletteLinkedIn Facebook Google+ Pinterest Seeing it for the first time – in clothes that were gifted
There’s a before and after moment that happens when life breaks you open like that — not just physically, but spiritually, emotionally, and energetically. This was a marker.
And yet, in the middle of that wreckage, something beautiful began to rise.
The Plan Was February. But the Universe Had a Rewrite in Mind.Originally, the launch of Turn Your Talent Into a Business was scheduled for February. The content was done. The structure was mapped out. The plan was clear. A New Years trip where we eloped with a honeymoon thereafter. Then back to business and start the year strong.
But then everything changed — and so did I.
Because when you lose everything, you start to see what was never really yours to begin with. It’s an odd feeling.
You see your own illusions. The over-efforting. The belief that you have to push, hustle, or convince people into transformation. Make sales calls, persuade and have your pain points and benefits all mapped out. Well, that went out the door pretty quickly.
When you’ve got nothing left to hold onto, you start holding onto what actually matters:
Your truth.Your vision.Your values.Your energy. On the Receiving End of GenerosityFor the first time in my life, I became the one receiving help. This was too big even for me. And I am not a stranger to disasters. But this is my entire life burned to the ground. Everything I worked for, I had, what was given to me, what I value, what I wanted to pass on. Gone.
And something miraculous happened. People showed up for us.
Meals. Donations. Support. Silent prayers whispered by people I’d never even met.
I’ve built a career on helping others — but this was a humbling reversal I didn’t know I needed. And it cracked something open in me.
It taught me that transformation doesn’t happen through perfectly built funnels or masterful persuasion. It happens through resonance. When others believe in you and your message they will show up.
We don’t need to manipulate people into action. We need to become the clearest, truest version of ourselves — and let that energy speak louder than any sales pitch ever could.
Being the Growth Architect I was thinking about how to formulate this into something I can teach. Because it is so much better than chasing.
Resonance Over PersuasionWe are not here to “convince.” We’re here to connect.
Real growth happens when your inner vision becomes strong enough, steady enough, and true enough to create resonance — an energetic match between who you are and who’s meant to walk this path with you.
The clearer your signal, the stronger your magnet.
It’s not about being louder.
It’s about showcasing the real you.
And this is what I now know for sure:
Spirituality — the inner drive, the soul fire, the emerging vision — must be fused with frictionless strategic execution.
Because dreams without structure stay dreams.
And strategy without a soul burns you out.
You need both. And that’s exactly what Turn Your Talent Into a Business delivers.
Two Questions to Ask Yourself Right NowIf you’re here, reading this — you’re already part of the resonance. You may already have felt the shift. You may have already heard the call. And maybe you’re still standing in your own version of ashes, wondering what comes next.
I was pretty sure that I could help you before. But now I know I can.
My job is to help people who are standing at a crossroads to make a decision. I start with these two questions that matter most.
Can you — and do you want to — figure out how to step into your purpose, build a business and a business model that works on your own?If the answer is no, does what you just read resonate with you?If something inside you paused and your inner voice said yes — even if it was quiet — then this is your invitation.
Welcome to Turn Your Talent Into a BusinessWe begin April 22, 2025
This is my bestselling program — and for good reason.
Since I first launched it, more than 25,000 entrepreneurs and business owners have gone through the evolving versions of it. And every time, it gets better, deeper, and more aligned.
This version — born from fire, grief, clarity, and grace — is the most powerful one yet.
Inside, we’ll go far beyond branding and offer creation (though yes, we cover all that too). We’ll build a business that reflects who you really are. One that’s grounded in soul, powered by strategy, and aligned with what matters to you.
You’ll get:
✨ Clarity around your unique talent and purpose✨ A clear, step-by-step roadmap to turn it into a business✨ The spiritual alignment and the strategic action steps✨ A community that sees you — and holds you to your highest potentialThis isn’t about proving yourself. This is about becoming yourself — fully, boldly, and on purpose.
I’m not here to persuade you. I’m here to invite you — if you’re ready to make a real impact, to live and work with meaning, and to step into your next chapter with clarity, courage, and community.
We start April 22.
Take a look and schedule a conversation with me personally right now.
You’ve waited long enough.
Let’s turn your talent into the business you were born to build.

AI Is Rising — How It Can Help You as a Small Business Owner
AI is no longer a distant concept—it’s here, reshaping industries, businesses, and careers at lightning speed. From automating tasks to generating art, writing, and even supporting strategic business decisions, AI is proving to be one of the most powerful tools we’ve ever seen.
But let’s be clear: AI is still just a tool. And it’s up to us to learn how to use it to our advantage—to work faster, smarter, and better, while maintaining our unique edge and voice. The goal isn’t to sound like the average of a mediocre prompt—it’s to enhance your brilliance, not replace it.
Twitter https://www.linkedin.com/in/beatecheletteLinkedIn Facebook Google+ Pinterest (Yes, that photo of me turned into a Ghibli-style illustration using AI? That was ChatGPT. Wild, right?)
Fear or Opportunity? You ChooseLet’s get practical. We can choose fear—or we can choose opportunity.
Many worry AI will replace jobs, disrupt industries, or make human creativity obsolete. But those fears only hold weight if we refuse to evolve. Once you embrace AI as a tool in your everyday work, it becomes a powerful ally. You’ll gain a competitive edge, unlock new ideas, and reclaim time to focus on what truly matters: creativity, strategy, and building your legacy.
As small business owners, we already wear too many hats. AI can help take a few of them off—automating repetitive tasks, generating content, sparking ideas, and helping you reach the people who need your brilliance the most.
Imagine writing the perfect message in minutes instead of hours. Or building that course or service offering that’s been living in your head, but never quite made it out. That’s what’s possible when you start working with AI.
Turning Your Talent Into a BusinessThis is exactly why I created my 8-week program, Turn Your Talent Into a Business.
Over the years, I’ve helped hundreds of entrepreneurs navigate change, discover clarity, and build what they were truly meant to bring into the world. This program is your roadmap to do just that—with AI as your creative assistant, not your replacement.
We’ll use AI prompts to help you develop your unique capabilities briefing, craft messaging that resonates, and find the sweet spot between your calling and your business model. Whether you’re a coach, consultant, artist, or strategist—if you’ve felt the pull to lead but haven’t known how to make it a business, this is your next step.
Because let’s face it—an idea is only as good as your ability to bring it to market.
What You’ll Learn in This Program:✅ Use AI to amplify your skills, speed, and productivity
✅ Design a business strategy that fits in an AI-powered world
✅ Build a personal brand that attracts the right people
✅ Create systems and automation that scale with ease
✅ Align your calling with a tangible, profitable business model
I’ll guide you through real, actionable steps you can apply immediately. And while I’m legally prohibited from guaranteeing results, many of my clients land their first paying clients during the program.
Like Jake, who went from “swinging in the dark” to confidently marketing his training business in a new city.
Like Sindy, who said this program finally got her ideas “out of her head and into a business plan.”
Like Diddi, who used the strategy work to shift from technical development into building her go-to-market approachTYTIAB Testimonials Tra….
We’re living in uncertain times. And waiting for the “right” moment? That’s a myth.
There is no
there
. There is no
who
.
There is only
you
.
The difference between those who succeed and those who don’t will come down to this: who is willing to learn, adapt, and take action?
Join Me—Let’s Build Your Future TogetherIf you’re ready to take your talent and turn it into a thriving business, I invite you to join me for this 8-week transformation. This isn’t theory. It’s not fluff. It’s a step-by-step experience that will change how you think about your business—and what’s possible for your future.

Are You Winging It?
Success in business doesn’t happen by accident. It’s not luck, random opportunities, or working harder than everyone else. Success is the result of a clear, intentional strategy mapping out which steps to take to achieve your goals. Yet, many entrepreneurs approach their businesses like a spontaneous road trip. They wake up, react to whatever grabs their attention, and hope it all comes together in some magical way.
But without a roadmap, how do you know if you’re heading in the right direction? And how would you know if you’ve arrived?
Think of Your Business Like a Road TripIf you planned a trip, would you just hop in your car with no destination, directions, or idea of how long it’ll take?
Probably not. Instead, you’d:
🚗 Choose a clear destination.🛣️ Map out the best route.⛽ Ensure you have enough resources.🚴 Pack the right clothes.📍 Plan stops to track your progress.Smart planning makes the difference. Your business should be approached the same way.
Imagine doing the opposite—driving aimlessly, hoping you’ll eventually arrive somewhere exciting. It can work, but you’ll likely waste time, energy, and resources.
Your business deserves better. You deserve better.
Why Winging It Doesn’t WorkMany business owners start with a great idea, full of passion and big dreams, but neglect planning. They become overwhelmed, jumping from idea to idea, hoping hard work alone will pay off. But here’s the truth: effort without strategy leads to exhaustion and burnout, not success.
Without a clear plan, you risk:
❌ Wasting time on tactics that don’t produce results.❌ Jumping between ideas without tracking progress.❌ Feeling overwhelmed and stuck, unsure of what to do next. When you don’t have a plan, you lose control. Instead of confidently making decisions, you’re constantly reacting.
Introducing “Turn Your Talent Into a Business”No matter where you are—whether struggling to attract clients, turning passion into profit, or shifting from corporate to entrepreneurship—the missing piece isn’t your talent. It’s your strategy.
Here’s how this program addresses your specific needs:Clarify Your Message & Attract Ideal ClientsJake Bennett owned a personal training business that was doing well in Los Angeles. When he moved to Las Vegas, he realized his approach of relying on referrals and casual posts wasn’t enough. “I felt like I was just swinging and hoping to hit something,” Jake said. After joining the program, Jake developed a clear marketing strategy that made him more confident in explaining his business and showing up online. “Now I have ideas that will help me move my business forward, scale, and make more money.”
Transform Your Podcast from Hobby to Revenue StreamSindy Thomas started her podcast with a goal to add structure to her coaching business. She felt overwhelmed trying to expand on her own but found clarity through the program’s weekly live sessions and interactive learning. “I knew I wouldn’t do this alone, so working together helped me get my ideas out of my head and into a real business plan.”
Confidently Leap from Corporate to EntrepreneurshipDidi Klingbeil had extensive consulting experience but struggled to shift from technical development to marketing her app. Through the program, she learned to create marketing strategies and sharpen her messaging to better connect with clients. “This program helped me gain clarity and practical insights from others with diverse backgrounds. Now I know how to confidently bring my product to market.”
The Power of a Clear Business StrategyWith a solid strategy, you take control by:
✅ Defining your destination—knowing exactly where you’re headed.✅ Choosing the best route—focusing on actions that drive real results.✅ Using resources wisely—avoiding distractions and waste.✅ Measuring progress—regularly ensuring you’re on track. With a clear plan, you’ll confidently know your next move and adjust as needed without feeling lost.
Reflect on Your Current SituationAsk yourself:
Do I have a clear direction, or am I just reacting?Am I spending time on activities that truly move me forward?Do I have a clear roadmap, or am I just hoping things work out?If these questions reveal gaps in your plan, it’s time to change your approach.
Take Control of Your Business—Starting TodayThe difference between thriving entrepreneurs and those who struggle isn’t talent, luck, or effort—it’s strategy. Successful business owners create clear plans, act intentionally, and adjust as needed.
Ready to map out your path to success?

The Hidden Power of Vulnerability: Why It’s Your Greatest Strength
Is asking for help a sign of weakness? If you grew up like me, you were conditioned to believe that true strength lies in being independent, self-sufficient, and never showing vulnerability. But what if this belief is actually holding us back?
Redefining StrengthTrue strength does not mean standing alone and managing everything single-handedly. I often joke that I haven’t seen a single tombstone that proclaimed – did everything alone! It always shares the sentiment that here is husband, father, wife, sister, brother, a beloved…suggesting that this person had attachments to others. They were not alone.
Strength includes vulnerability—your bravery to acknowledge our limitations, seek assistance, and openly accept help when offered. Or even asking for it.
I promise you will be very uncomfortable as it challenges deeply ingrained societal norms that often associate vulnerability with weakness. But vulnerability, in reality, is a powerful indicator of emotional maturity and inner strength. Nobody holds all the information, no matter how much we pretend that we do.
The Power of VulnerabilityWhen we embrace vulnerability, we break down walls that isolate us. We invite genuine connections and build deeper relationships. Think about a time when someone reached out to you for help. Did you think less of them, or did you feel honored, valued, and trusted when you were able to help them figure something out? Vulnerability creates bonds of trust and mutual respect, allowing relationships to flourish authentically.
Vulnerability also empowers our community. By showing our authentic selves, we encourage those around us to do the same. It creates a safe space where honesty and openness become the norm rather than the exception.
Growth Through SupportAccepting help fosters personal growth. When we allow others to support us, we gain new perspectives, insights, and skills that we might otherwise miss. Having been the recipient of products, clothes and other items in the rebuilding of my life I realize that many of these things I would not have bought. With my mindset being one of curiosity I try everything. I have found things that are now part of the 3.0 version of me. Because I allowed my community to help me rebuild my life after the Palisades Fire in a way that works for them. Allowing them to do what resonates with them. And there is a lot of humility and learning when you find out that they did something extraordinary that this thing is very much YOU. And you didn’t even know.
Embracing vulnerability opens us up to learning opportunities and emotional growth, increasing our capacity for resilience. Recognizing our limitations isn’t a defeat—it’s an opportunity to learn, improve, and expand beyond our current boundaries.
Asking for help significantly enhances problem-solving capabilities. Different people bring unique perspectives and solutions, allowing us to tackle challenges more effectively and creatively. It allows you to have others show you how they see you. It is a fascinating new perspective.
Overcoming Fear and PrideThe courage to be vulnerable and accept support often requires overcoming deep-seated fears of judgment or rejection. If you avoid asking for help you may fear it might reflect poorly on your abilities. That someone is finding out that you don’t know how to do something. And you will get punished for it if you admit it. However, this fear is often unfounded. Most people appreciate being able to support others and do not view those seeking assistance negatively. It allows them to shine with their expertise.
Stepping beyond pride and embracing humility can be a significant personal challenge. But humility doesn’t diminish our worth—it enhances our ability to collaborate and coexist harmoniously with others. It takes immense courage to let go of pride, yet the rewards are substantial.
Transforming Lives Through VulnerabilityThe transformative potential of vulnerability is immense. It allows us to experience deeper connections, develop stronger support networks, and foster environments of trust and mutual understanding. When we openly acknowledge our struggles and ask for help, we become more authentic, compassionate, and emotionally intelligent individuals.
Next time you hesitate to ask for help, remind yourself of this powerful truth: true strength is found in vulnerability, in having the courage to ask for and accept help. Embrace vulnerability, and watch how your life transforms, becoming richer, more meaningful, and profoundly interconnected. As for me, one of the greatest learnings of this catastrophe is to recognize how loved and supported I am. I had no idea people cared so deeply about us.

Embracing Community and Resilience: A Lesson in Women’s Strength this March
As we celebrate Women’s Month this March, I reflect on a powerful and transformative lesson I am still learning in the wake of an unimaginable event—the Palisades Fire in Los Angeles, which took every possession we had. It is a devastating loss, leaving me with nothing but the clothes on my back and an overwhelming sense of uncertainty. In these moments, I realize that strength doesn’t always come from standing alone. Sometimes, it comes from leaning on others, from accepting help, and from finding the courage to let people guide you when you can’t see the path forward.
This experience reinforces a critical lesson that stays with me: we are never truly alone. Even in our most difficult moments, the support of our community can be the very thing that pulls us through. And this is a lesson we should carry with us, not just during moments of crisis but every single day.
The Power of Relying on OthersIn the days following the fire, I feel like I’ve lost everything. I don’t even have a pen to write down my thoughts or a notebook to begin making plans. It’s an incredibly vulnerable moment. I had just returned from a spiritual retreat and was on my honeymoon when the fire struck, and all I have with me are a pair of white linen pants. Not exactly the most practical clothes for business meetings or even daily life in Los Angeles. I feel exposed—both literally and emotionally. But amid the uncertainty and chaos, something incredible happens: people show up.
They come to me with open hearts, asking, “How can I help?” At first, I had no idea how anyone can help me. I’ve just lost everything—how could they possibly know what I need? But then, a dear friend of mine does something extraordinary. She hands me a copy of my own book. She drove at night, after she put her two kids to bed and drove for an hour to give it to me because she knew that all my copies were lost in the fire. She looks at me and says, “Here’s a really good book that has some really good advice in it. You should be reading this right now.”
That small but meaningful gesture is a turning point. It reminds me that we can find comfort in the simplest things, and sometimes, the best thing we can offer someone in their time of need is something that holds meaning to them—a piece of their past, a reflection of their wisdom, or simply a reminder of who they are. That moment isn’t just about the book; it’s about the deep connection between us, the thoughtfulness, and the love that she shows me when I’m at my lowest.
The Importance of Community and ConnectionThis experience brings me to an important realization: the idea of community is more vital than ever, especially right now, in the midst of all the chaos and confusion we face in the world, especially in North America. It’s easy to become overwhelmed by the endless noise in the media, the divisiveness in politics, the mixed messages, the outright lies, and the constant changes in culture. It feels as though we are being pulled in a hundred different directions, each one trying to tell us what to think and how to act.
But the truth is, the most powerful thing we can do in times of crisis or confusion is to turn inward and focus on what truly matters: our community, our people, and our message. In the chaos, we often forget that our own truth and our clarity can guide us through. It’s easy to get swept up in what others are saying, but remember—most of what we hear out there is just noise. The external world, the political battles, the cultural wars—they’re all part of an illusion. The things that truly sustain us are the things that come from within, from the relationships we cultivate, and from the resonance we create with others who share our values and vision.
Resonance: The Key to Building Lasting ConnectionsAs I reflect on my own journey of loss and recovery, I realize that the key to building resilience is not just about “surviving” but about creating meaningful connections with others. The way we show up for ourselves is just as important as the way others show up for us. Our presence, our authenticity, and the energy we put out into the world are what attract the people who will support and uplift us when we need it most.
When we live in alignment with our own truth, when we are clear about our values, and when we consistently show up as our authentic selves, we create a resonance, a vibration that draws the right people to us. This resonance—this energetic connection—is what sustains us. It is neither about perfection, nor about doing it all alone. It’s about being real, being vulnerable, and allowing the support of those around us to help us rebuild and rise again. Time to put the show aside and step in who the real you is behind the scenes. No faking till you make it. This you can’t fake.
Living Authentically and Creating ConnectionThis Women’s Month, I encourage you to think about your own community, the people who surround you, and the message you are putting out into the world. Are you living in alignment with your truth? Are you creating an energy that attracts the right people to you—the ones who will stand by you, support you, and help you when you need it most? Women’s rights are once again under fire. I shudder to think that some laws are actually proposing that women who are married should be silenced all together. On the other hand let’s not get caught up in the noise of the outside world. Let’s focus on what matters: the relationships we nurture, the wisdom we share, and the resonance we create. And always our immediate community. Tell your truth. When we do this, we not only support ourselves—we also become a source of strength for others, just as others are there for us when we need it most.
A Call to Action for Women: Build Community, Embrace ResilienceAs women, we are resilient. We are strong. And we are capable of amazing things—especially when we come together. So, this March, take a moment to reflect on the power of community in your own life. Who are the people who have supported you in your darkest moments? How can you nurture those connections, not just for your benefit, but for the benefit of those around you?
Remember, you don’t have to do it alone. The strength of your community, the clarity of your message, and the resonance you create will help you navigate even the most challenging times. Let’s make this Women’s Month a celebration of our collective power, our resilience, and the beautiful, authentic connections we build together.
I hope this message resonates with you. Let it remind you that no matter what challenges you face, you are never alone. Surround yourself with those who lift you up, and remember, resilience is built on the foundation of community.
Let’s grow,
Beate

How Do You Learn to Surrender When Everything Feels Out of Control?
Life can throw some curveballs, and sometimes those curveballs come with an intensity that’s hard to comprehend. I am there, and I know exactly how it feels when everything you once knew and held dear slips through your fingers. There are moments in life when you feel like you’re in freefall, and it seems like the ground beneath you is gone. That’s exactly how I feel after the Palisades fire. I lost everything—literally everything I owned. It’s a type of death without dying, and the intensity of that moment left me with questions I had no answers to. How do you keep going when your world feels like it’s crumbling around you? How do you find a way to surrender when life is out of control?
In times like these, we can choose to sink into despair, or we can choose to believe in something greater. For me, that something greater is the belief that the universe is friendly. I truly believe that everything, even the most painful challenges, happens for a reason. If I didn’t hold onto this belief, I would be in deep trouble right now. It’s the belief that what we go through—no matter how difficult or disheartening—can serve a purpose, and it’s up to us to find that purpose.
The Mess Is Always the MessageSo, here I am, having lost everything, and I want to find meaning in the mess. The only way I can make sense of the chaos is by asking myself, “What is the message in all of this?” If I can find a lesson in the disaster, then this experience will not have been for nothing. That’s when I came across a concept that has guided me through some of the most challenging times in my life: The mess is always the message.
It’s not my original term—there’s also a book called The Obstacle Is the Way that embodies this idea. The concept is grounded in Stoic philosophy, which teaches that every challenge is an opportunity for growth. When life hands us something we can’t control, instead of fighting it or resenting it, we can choose to embrace it and find the lesson within. That lesson is the message we can share, the wisdom we can teach others, and the strength that will ultimately help us rise again.
I am here to tell you: no matter how overwhelming the obstacle, there is a message in it. And when you find that message, that’s when the transformation begins. You stop being a victim of circumstance and start being the architect of your own experience. You become victorious, not in spite of your struggles, but because of them.
What Does Surrender Look Like?Surrender doesn’t mean giving up or resigning to fate. Surrender is about releasing the need for control over things you can’t change and trusting that what’s meant for you will find you. It’s about acknowledging that life is full of unpredictability, and while we can’t always control the outcome, we can always control how we respond.
In my darkest moments, what sustained me most is the love and support of the people around me. My friendships, my relationships—these are the things that carry me through the toughest of times. I realize that what matters are the connections I nurtured throughout my life. We have our birth family. And then we have friends who oftentimes become close or even closer than family. Standing by me when I can’t stand on my own.
This is what true surrender looks like: recognizing that you are never alone. When life feels unbearable, it’s the relationships you’ve built that will sustain you. In your darkest times, your true tribe will carry you. That’s why it’s so important to build a business and a life that not only attracts clients but attracts real, genuine people who become more than just transactional relationships—they become allies, supporters, and friends.
Turning Challenges into TeachingsI’ve learned that when we face immense challenges, it’s easy to focus on the loss, the pain, and the unfairness of it all. But if you can shift your perspective and look at your mess as an opportunity to find a message, that’s when you can begin to heal. Turning your challenges into teachings is what helps you rise from the ashes, stronger and more resilient than ever.
And that’s what I want to share with you.
Building a Business That Resonates with Your SoulThe same principles that are helping me get through the darkest time of my life are the ones that can help you in your business and personal life. In my upcoming webinar, Unleash You: An Architect Building a Business That Resonates with Your Soul, I’m going to show you exactly how to build relationships that go beyond surface-level interactions. I’ll teach you how to cultivate a business that’s rooted in authenticity and aligned with your soul’s purpose.

These are the kinds of relationships that will sustain you in your toughest moments, the ones that will carry your vision forward even when you feel like you can’t carry it alone. An experience that is not wishful thinking but an experience that I am currently living. I must have done something right!
What is sustaining me during my own personal crisis is the generosity of others—the kindness, the support, the willingness to step in and help me when I can’t help myself. And that’s what I want for you, too. I want you to create a business that doesn’t just serve your bottom line but serves your soul. A business that attracts people who will support you, cheer for you, and help you build something meaningful.

Landing on Sandpaper: The Reality of Resilience in Challenging Times
Sometimes, life throws challenges so relentless that no matter which way you turn, you feel resistance. You push forward, but every step feels like dragging your feet across rough, unforgiving sandpaper. That’s exactly how I’ve been feeling since January 7th.
I lost my home. I lost my office. The fire in Pacific Palisades took away not just physical spaces but the sense of stability that comes with having a place. Since then, every day has felt like an uphill battle, with friction in everything I do.
What Does It Mean to Land on Sandpaper? This morning, my husband put it into words when describing how he experienced life since we got back from our honeymoon to virtually nothing: “It feels like we were landing on sandpaper.” And I thought, This is freaking brilliant. Because that’s exactly what it feels like. Because…
… no matter what direction you take, nothing is smooth.… There is constant resistance, the weight of challenges that won’t let up.… It’s the exhaustion of trying to move forward when everything is a drag.Truth be told—when you land on sandpaper, you may as well not fight it. That creates even more friction. You recognize it for what it is. You understand that sometimes, the only way through a sandpaper moment is to sit in its discomfort. Sometimes, you’ll have to sit in a dark room. Sometimes, you’ll feel like you’re carrying a weight too heavy to bear. And sometimes, there’s absolutely nothing you can do except be with it.
This is part of resilience. The painful part. Roadburn and all.
How Do You Keep Going?Pushing through difficult times isn’t about avoiding pain—it’s about accepting that discomfort is part of the process. Growth often requires us to sit in uncertainty, in loss, in frustration, and still keep moving.
So if you feel like you’re landing on sandpaper, know this:
You’re not alone. Friction is growth. You’re stronger than you think or even want to be. Even when everything feels impossible, you’re still here, pushing yourself forward. This moment won’t last. Even sandpaper smooths out eventually, and so will this phase of your life.Finding Purpose in the ChaosFor me, part of getting through this has been reconnecting with my purpose. In the hardest times, I know that what I do—helping entrepreneurs build businesses that resonate with their souls—matters. And if you’re an entrepreneur struggling to find your way right now, I have something that might help.
I’m inviting you to Unleash Your Inner Architect: Building a Business That Resonates with Your Soul—a live webinar where I’ll share what’s actually working in business today.
Forget the old persuasion model – too much friction. Forget chasing clients, pushing sales tactics, or shoving online courses in front of people – too much friction. That era is over.
What’s working now is an attraction model, a resonance model—where you align your business with the right energy, operate at the right frequency, and attract the right people to you. And I’m going to show you exactly how to do that. Because you want as little friction in the way you do things as possible.
🔹 Want to learn more? Comment “UNLEASH” below.
Because even when you’re landing on sandpaper, there’s a way forward. And I’d love to share what that can look like.
Let’s grow!

Rising from the Ashes: Lessons from the Palisades Fire
Life has a way of throwing curveballs, often when we least expect them. For me, it was a year of extreme highs and devastating lows that ultimately reshaped my life, my business, and my understanding of what really matters. My love and I celebrated our 10-year anniversary, I turned 60 and we decided to elope at year’s end while on a spiritual journey in Costa Rica. While we were on our honeymoon in Costa Rica on day three we watched in horror the heart-wrenching destruction of our entire community in the Palisades Fire. Our schools, library, the coffee shop, shoe maker, pizzeria, my office building and my home. It is all burned to the ground.
But through it all, one constant remained—my incredible family, friends, and community who are holding me up as my knees buckle under the burden of this crushing loss help me to stay on purpose. This is my story of loss, growth, and reinvention.
A Honeymoon That Changed EverythingLast year was challenging, I was more than ready to step away from the demands of business and take some much-needed time for myself and my husband. We decided to go to Costa Rica for a spiritual retreat—something that promised peace, reflection, and a break from the constant noise of everyday life.
In Costa Rica, the beauty of the land and the serenity of the retreat environment worked wonders on my mind and spirit. I found myself reconnecting with a deeper sense of self. I heard the voice loud and clear that showed me what I needed to do next with my work. As I recognize patterns that no longer serve me I got three messages. Rest, Letting Go and Stepping Into Wisdom. I am to recognize when to rest, when to facilitate, when to participate and when to observe. I realized that I wanted my future to be about creating lasting impact, not maintaining the status quo and definitely not continuing what I was doing.
But just as I was finding clarity in Costa Rica, fate had something else in store.

We got married in a beautiful ceremony on January 3rd. On the 6th disaster struck. The Palisades Fire ravaged first my office and then my home, leaving nothing behind but ashes. I cannot describe this to you. Your brain just can’t process it. It looks for something it can compare it to and there is nothing. Even for me a 7 time disaster survivor this beats all the other ones by a far margin. All the work I had poured my heart and soul into, the office where I had built my business, my white fluffy chairs, my art, the photographs given to me and my podcast studio along with the tangible memories that make up my personal history. It was all gone in an instant. In moments of such immense loss, it’s easy to fall into despair, to feel that your identity has been erased. And if I didn’t do so much mindset work I don’t think I could be as calm as I am today.
Part of this I attribute this to the time I spent in Costa Rica. The spiritual journey I had begun there taught me the importance of letting go and trusting in the flow of life. The fire, as devastating as it is, is a hard marker in the road. I think about it this way. Everything is borrowed anyway, when you die you take nothing. This is like the death of everything material but you are still alive. Now what are you going to do with that?
The Strength of Family and FriendsIn the aftermath of the fire, I am still overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from my family, friends, and our community. The people I had spent years nurturing relationships with were now showing up for me in ways that moved me beyond words. They didn’t just offer sympathy—they offered help, warmth, and compassion. And they brought me underwear, socks, jackets and Alice Kao, the CEO of climbing gym SenderOne even brought me a copy of my own book, Happy Woman Happy World. Her note outlined that it was a good book with some very good advice!
As my family rallied around me, even my niece who is still in medical school donated to our GoFundMe page it became clear how much the relationships I had built over the years mattered. People want to help me. I had spent decades cultivating connections with incredible people, and now those relationships carry me as I can barely stand on my own. One of the most profound moments during this time was when people, some of them strangers, reached out to offer anything they could—clothes, food, support. Wearing my emotions on my sleeves is not my style, but this is too big for me. I cannot do this on my own. I am moved by the power of my community, and I realize that the new area that is being built must be a community where we can catch each other when we fall.
Twitter https://www.linkedin.com/in/beatecheletteLinkedIn Facebook Google+ Pinterest
Twitter https://www.linkedin.com/in/beatecheletteLinkedIn Facebook Google+ Pinterest
The fire took away a lot from me, but it is also a teacher. Let’s call it Letting Go Extreme Version. Just today I found out that my car also is totaled as are my husbands. What the heck is the lesson here? This is everything. Not a little bit. But all of it. There’s nothing left. As a business strategist, I focus on creating systems and frameworks to help others achieve their goals. But now, I had to turn those strategies inward. I have to reinvent my business, my career, and my identity.
In the wake of the fire, I remember that I had given a box of workbooks I had created over the years—materials I had developed to teach people how to become business strategists, coaches, and consultants to a friend of mine to look through. These workbooks are the only thing that survived the fire. A sign? Perhaps. I am not rebuilding what I had before. It must evolve, I must share my knowledge in a new way that builds a community so that together we can make a bigger impact.
Reinventing My BusinessWhen you face the absence of everything you have, you ask yourself what you really need? Do I really need four computers? I’ve been simplifying everything. I want to share my strategies in a way that are easy to understand and implement, to make them accessible to more people. Not just telling you what it is but giving you the entire suite of materials I have created and showing you how to do what I do. In a world that often overcomplicates things, I know that I can teach others how to build sustainable businesses without getting bogged down by unnecessary complexity.
So, I am making the decision to take everything I have learned, all the tools I have developed, and share them with you. I no longer want to keep them hidden in my office or in my mind. I wanted to make them available to anyone who could benefit from them. It’s been a bumpy road getting here and we have to find a way to turn this biggest crisis of my life into a phoenix that rises out of the ashes of my life.
The Power of Community and ConnectionLooking back, I realize how much my community has been a guiding force. Without the support of my family, friends, and clients, I don’t know how I can get up. We are all in this together. Success is not achieved alone. It’s the people around us—the ones who believe in us, who support us, and who stand by us and carry us when we can’t walk on our own.
As I rebuild, I am not only focused on creating this community for all business coaches and consultants but also on nurturing these relationships. I am committed to creating a platform that not only serves others but brings people together. My journey has shown me that the true value of business is not in profit or growth alone; it’s in the connections we make and the impact we have on the lives of others. That not giving alone is where it is at but also asking and receiving. That is what closes the infinity loop.
Moving ForwardThe road ahead is still uncertain, but I am more determined than ever to move forward with a sense of purpose. The lessons I’m still learning from Costa Rica, the fire, and my incredible community are slowly shaping my vision for the future. I know that I have something important to offer, and I’m committed to sharing my knowledge in ways that can help others thrive. How? I don’t fully know yet, but if you want, you can help me shape it the way it makes the most sense for you.
If there’s one thing this experience has taught me, it’s that resilience isn’t really the lesson here. We are all resilient. We bounce back from hardships; rather it is understanding that we are part of something else and should not operate in a vacuum. That togetherness is what helps you to evolve into the person you are meant to become. I’m excited to see where this journey will take me, and I can’t wait to continue sharing it with all of you.
Thank you for being a part of this community, for supporting me, and for allowing me to support you in turn. Together, we’ll make a lasting impact.
Let’s grow!
