Continuum 5 and the Walking Shadows preview

Today I sent the first (work-in-progress) chapter of 'Walking Shadows' (officially the 'working title') to Continuum 5 for inclusion in their con book as a special preview for con guests. The splendiforous _audrey drew three wonderful illustrations to go with it that fill me with delight!!

But I'm not putting any of that stuff here.

Star Trek 11=awesomecakes

Jess, sharpest_rose  ix_tab  digitalsprawl  and Hilary came with me to see Star Trek tonight. It was the first time for Jess and me, but the others were making the latest in their serial viewing of this epic.

I laughed, I cheered! And often in the appropriate places!!

Helpdesk WTF-ery Part 2

Well, I finally got a reply from the helpdesk that was comprehensible, which is nice. Unfortuntely, it pretty much says 'we don't know what's causing the error, this service was always unreliable anyway, hey, I know, why don't  you pay more money for our more reliable services?'. To which I say, not while I  have my strength. I do not trust the support I would receive from these people, regardless of how much I pay for the services, so when Tim returns from his current trip we will look at our o

Email problems continue

Tim and I have discovered that our domain host is still having problems with forwarding our mail. Most of it seems to get through, but we are missing on stuff that is sent to groups or from Yahoo. Of course we don't know what else we're not getting.  So if I haven't replied to something you've sent, it's not lack of love - it's a very aggravating computer fuck up.
