Don’t Be Stopped By This

“You are to go today,” the Lord spoke to my heart in no uncertain terms regarding a particular place He wanted me to go. “Do not be stopped by your flesh.”

Truth was I did not want to go.

I did not allow my flesh to stop me. I went anyway. Because God told me to go.

Do not let your flesh, i.e. your own desires when they go against God’s will for you, stop you from obeying God.

We were not created to follow our flesh. We were not created to live for self.

We were created to believe in and follow ...

Those Crazy Church People

Minutes before writing this message I got off the telephone with a friend from about 30 years ago whom I had only been in touch with maybe 2 or 3 times in all those years. When I thought back all those decades ago I remembered how she had taken me to visit her church and how horrified I had been when I saw all those crazy church people with their arms up in the air joyfully and thankfully and blessedly and lovingly singing praises to the Lord!
