God Sent a Donkey!

How amazing, wonderful, and hilarious that God sent a stray donkey to a family that was going through a really hard time to bless and help them. When the donkey wandered up the family’s driveway, little did the parents and children know that donkey was to become part of the family and to be used by God unimaginably to help them through a very trying season. I was thinking about someone who I felt had been a real “JERK” when the Lord put this message on my heart. I confess the night before I had allowed my mind to be filled briefly with some very ungodly words and anger. In the meantime, the Lord reminded me what He has taught me over the years.

God, You Were Right!

I knew where I wanted to be. I knew what I wanted to do. I knew where I wanted to go. But my desire, my will, did not line up with God’s will.

In the past I would have convinced myself it would be okay to go ahead and do what I wanted instead of what God made clear He wanted me to do. After all, I was in charge of my life, not the Lord Jesus Christ, right? Oh, how foolishly, terribly, dangerously, sinfully wrong I was!

Does God HEAR Your Love for Him?

Can God HEAR your love for Him? When you open your mouth, does God HEAR your love for Him? In that you pray? In what you pray? In how you pray? In that you praise Him? In that you bless and thank Him with your mouth? In that you worship Him? Sing to Him? In that you do not praise the Lord only in a church building? But even when you are alone? And regularly?

But God I Know Best!

I feel so strongly compelled to ask you this question.

Would you please examine your heart and life and see if there is anything you have been thinking, saying, or doing by which you are essentially saying to God, “But God I know best!”

Pride can be super obvious. Pride can be moderately evident. And pride can be incredibly subtle. No matter the degree of pride, no matter how blatant it is or is not, pride is ALWAYS sin in the eyes of God almighty and ALWAYS needs to be gotten rid of.

I Want to Leave BUT –

So many times over the years I have wanted to leave something, some place, or someone but I have chosen not to leave. For one simple reason. The same reason I hope you will consider if you are desperately wanting to leave in any way, shape, or form something or someone.
