Worship Me

I was crying out to God to speak to me, to say anything at all, as I walked down the gloriously hot and sunny beach communing with Him. Then He spoke.

“Worship me,” the Holy Spirit of God spoke to my heart.

I knew instantly the Lord Jesus Christ meant so much more than to simply sing to Him as I walked as I love to do.

The Lord was reminding me of the lifestyle to which He calls all of humanity.

This world is so self-centered, is it not? We are so trained to look out for self, to seek for self, ...

News About My Dad

The reason I have not been writing my Good News Daily Devotional over the past month is because of an amazing miraculous  testimony.

After decades of not being in my Dad’s life, without going into any detail at this time in obedience to the Lord, the Lord mercifully restored me and my Dad.

Tragically, he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

But amazingly, after decades of not being in my Dad’s life, the Lord used me over a period of time to talk to him about the Lord Jesus Christ, to rea...

Whatever Jesus Tells You

When the people ran out of wine at the wedding in Cana of Galilee, Mary the mother of the Lord Jesus Christ told the servants to do what Jesus told them to do only if they were in the mood, felt like it, agreed with Jesus, did not have what they felt was a better plan, etc., right? WRONG!

Mary told the servants to obey Jesus WHATEVER He told them to do!

In other words, NO MATTER WHAT Jesus told the servants to do, Mary told them to OBEY JESUS.

Friend, WHATEVER the Lord tells us to do, we are to ...

If Dogs Could Fly

If dogs could fly then that would be virtually what I witnessed a little while before writing this message as I saw in action 15-year-old miracle dog Grace who about 13 years ago was abandoned at a gas station where she was hit by 2 cars on the same day. What I witnessed was her bouncing up and forward over and again as though she could fly until she landed on the very massive double-wide dog bed she shares with 14-year-old paralyzed dog Miss Mercy. She was going super high speed until she lande...

Jesus Prayed, Jesus Prays

Jesus the Son of God who died on the cross and was raised from the dead in His time on this earth prayed to God the Father and continues to pray in heaven now as He intercedes for God’s people. If Jesus prayed, and Jesus prays, should we not who are His followers and are to be conformed to Jesus do the same? Should we not pray, and pray and pray, and continue to pray? Should we not ourselves pray without ceasing? Should not prayer be as fundamental and foundational to our lives as life itself?

D...

God’s Perfect Will

Just before writing this, I wrote God this little prayer.

“Thank you for your perfect will help me to submit to you amen!”

We face choices all the day long, don’t we? We can go our way or God’s way. And, in our pride, how quickly and easily we can fall into believing we know best.

But God is perfect not us. And God’s ways not our ways and God’s will not our will are perfect.

Oh, if we would only acknowledge our nothingness without the Lord Jesus Christ and acknowledge God’s perfectness, amazingn...

Need a Fix?

Need a fix? Of course I am not referring to illegal drugs and getting a so-called “fix” with them. Nor am I referring to needing something fixed. I am referring to a powerful “fix” I found myself meditating on and am greatly inspired and encouraged by. Something I have turned into a prayer.

“O LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, keep this forever in the intent of the thoughts of the heart of Your people, and fix their heart toward You.” 1 Chronicles 29:18 NKJV

The prayer? Lord, ...

Bringing Out the Trash for God

This may seem like an unusual and insignificant conversation to have with God, but I promise you it bears significance for us all when I tell you what God reminded me in it. When I sat down at the computer and hoped to write, this is what transpired.

“God I am so excited to write,” I told the Lord in my heart.

“Please bring out the trash,” I heard the Holy Spirit speak to my heart.

“But God I want to write,” I replied.

“But I want you to bring out the trash,” the Lord responded.

“Writing would b...

A Promise With a Key

God most assuredly promises to work all things together for good, but there is a key to this that must not be missed.

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28 NKJV

He makes the promise to those who LOVE HIM – who are called according to HIS PURPOSE. And the Lord Jesus Christ tells us in the Bible that those who LOVE HIM – OBEY HIM!

“Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will kee...

Be Still AND –

I believe there are two main ways we can be still when it comes to our lives. We can be still and focus on ourselves and our circumstances and our challenges, struggles, problems, trials, storms, battles, and tribulations and quickly spiral downward and find ourselves down, disheartened, discouraged, devastated, and depressed.

Or, we can be still and know that God is God, and focus on Him, and the Bible, and His promises in His Word, and His love, grace, mercy, peace, hope, joy, goodness, kindne...
