Reading poetry at Kala Ghoda Arts Festival 2020.
After years, again, I read poetry at my city Mumbai’s very own KGAF thanks to the book launch of ‘Sahitya Akademi’s Modern English Poetry by Young Indians’, edited by Sudeep Sen.
A soulful event it was!
Immersive imagery-filled, the tone and context setup by Jennifer Robertson and Sudeep Sen’s discussion, and each poet opening up worlds with their pieces.
So lovely to meet old and new friends.
You can get a copy of the anthology here. Click for the link.

See you at KGAF 2020.
At the Jaipur Literature Festival JLF 2020
My January literary events summed up with judging the poetry slam at Symbiosis (Sympulse) n’ finding startling new voices again!
Launching Saima Afreen‘s book of poetry in the presence of Ashwani Kumar and his well-contextualized overview of Indian poetry, footprinting then to now.
And participating at Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) 2020, and meeting so many inspiring people from all walks.
What an enriching month.
Enjoyed Poetry Durbar listening to the intoxicating work of Ruth Padel, AJ Thomas, Nirupama Dutt, Sanket Mhatre and Asiya Zahoor.

Pune predilections (postcards 2019)
Recently, I participated on panel at the Women Writer’s Fest, Pune 2019 and it was a great gathering, listening to women voicing their strongest opinions from corners of profession and vocation: media, reviews, television, film, literature, translation, acting.
Met very interesting people. Came back with a lot of dope.
Mostly importantly the biography of Sunanda Pushkar. Intriguing.
Pune is becoming my new fav. place.
Will be visiting again on 17th Jan to judge the slam poetry at Sympulse ’20 – Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies’ annual youth festival.
See ya then.
[Will be carrying a few copies of my ‘out of stock’ books, in case interested.]
