Palimpsest – Interpreted x 4

What joy to have my haibun ‘Palimpsest’ read and interpreted by four spectacular haijins/haibuneers whose works I have admired and included in my workshops.

4 interpretations.

Review of Palimpset

Maybe we should do this for more poetry?

A moment to celebrate.

Myopia

To those sweet naysayers who keep passing dark darts to me.

A clarification –

I never claimed I am a great or good poet, but I have the right to express and write whatever I wish to, and in whichever form, and to keep improving my craft as I go along. It’s MY journey.

I, hereby, declare to continue doing so. You can choose to not read my work. I am absolutely fine with that.

But please excuse me your coterie’s group-think, your tribe’s virtue-signalling, your gossip. I never liked belonging to camps and dens. I am an introvert. I have a handful of precious friends and I live with it.

I want to continue experimenting with ideas, stories, ordinarily and always – like second nature. I have embraced the idea of failure. I have accepted constructive praise and criticism. But I can’t stop. I will not stop. So you adjust: pretend I don’t exist. Can you AT LEAST pretend?

(And shame on you – in these times of political strife, you don’t get ahead of your crab-basket/in-fighting.)

Here, it is also time to thank my friends, well-wishers, associates, supporters, collaborators, family who always always stood by me.

You are my FULCRUM.

Naysayers, you are my CRUMB.

LoL.
