So my third book of poetry ‘The Inglorious coins of the Counting House’ is amid the five finalists of the 2nd Gaudy Boy Poetry Book Prize. The next round to be judged by Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Vijay Seshadri – that in itself is a prize!
The editors impressions: ‘The hand of The Inglorious Coins of the Counting House, both assured and assuring, draws layered maps of humanity, then and now.’

My readings at Rachna Books, 2016, Gangtok
Summer of 2016, Gangtok. My reading at Rachna Books.ac
(I know I will be back again into the quaint hills, the breathtaking view of the Teesta river, and to Cafe Fiction, with my next book.)
This event was jointly organized by Rachna Books, Caesurae.org & Jayita Sengupta.

Jayita speaks: “Thanks Raman Shresta, for the video. We had made some lovely memories that summer of 2016, in Gangtok with Rochelle Potkar coming over to Sikkim, staying with me and my students in my home there and conducting a lovely workshop on haiku and haibun and reading her works at Rachna. Students had presented a musical version of Meghbalika with Nandakishore Das on the violin, Snehshree singing, Gaurav on his guitar, who’d come from Mirik at once if it had to do something related to music and not his thesis! Dear Nikita with her reading of the English translation of Joy Goswami’s poem was too good! Creative moments in Gangtok will always be cherished Raman. Rachna memories. Now we are all in different places, hope we could be together again someday sometime at Rachna again.”

My poem in Poetry Foundation. Global Anglophone Indian issue.
Poetry Foundation. Poetry Magazine’s recent issue on Global Anglophone Indian poems.
Edited by Kazim Ali and Rajiv Mohabir. (and thanking you.)
“There is no one single way of being a diasporic Indian poet that marks an English that will be globally consistent. This is the beauty of such poetry, of collecting the disparate and showing connections and resonances, dissonances, and disconnections.”
