Feature Friday – Dangerous Curves

Feature Friday at KellyApple.com

Sam and Luna, guys. Sam. And Luna.

Unfortunately for Sam, he made a few bad decisions in the past that left Luna NOT happy with the big cat. In fact, she kind of loves to hate on him.

I think this was my first try at writing an enemies (or whatever they are) to lovers story. Sam did a sort of boneheaded thing and he’s been remorseful about it ever since. Luna is a cat who can hold a grudge.

Especially when it comes to protecting her BFF.

So they’re at odds and now Luna’s looking to settle down with a cat who can handle her and Sam’s not even a footnote on her list of potentials. SHENANIGANS ENSUE.

Seriously, though. Sam and Luna don’t start out in the best place, but they end up with (spoiler) their happily ever after in the end. GOOD STUFF!

Samuel Delaney’s had a rough couple of months. Not only did he find out his mom works for the government in a job she stubbornly refuses to speak about, now he’s helping his alpha deal with a sudden influx of wolves after their alpha mated with one of the cats from his pride.

Most importantly, the leopardess he’s been half in love with his entire adult life is actively looking for a mate.

And Sam isn’t even a footnote on her list of potentials.

Convincing the lovely Luna North to give him a chance would be a hell of a lot easier if he didn’t get tongue tied whenever she was around. He’ll have to rely on his cat’s instinctive ability to land on its feet if he hopes to make any headway with the stubborn beauty.

Because when a lion chooses his mate, he doesn’t back down.

Ever.

Looking Back on October

Looking Back on October

Oh, hey. Another month has come and gone. HOW WEIRD.

Honestly, October really was a weird month. I took on two big projects at my day job and have been running in deadline mode for the past few weeks. Which is a BIG part of why Rock and Road didn’t go live when I had originally planned.

Speaking of which… Rock and Road is live. Part 3 of the Heart of Stone series has Cin and Vane making new friends and having sexy times on their road trip.

As for November, I’m still planning on having part 4 go up mid-ish month AND I’m participating in NaNoWriMo (although I sincerely doubt I can hit 50K words with my current day job work load, but I’m going to jump in and do that writing thing anyway. For the monsters, my friends. For the monsters).

Things might get crazy, but here’s to a good month!

Out Now: Rock and Road

OHMIGOSH! It’s here! It’s LIVE! Part 3 of the Heart of Stone series is AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC CONSUMPTION!

*collapses*

This installment took a teeeeeeny bit longer to get out than I expected it to take and it had nothing to do with the book itself, but rather my real life which somehow got INSANELY busy the past few weeks.

In.Sane.Ly.

Which just goes to show you that sometimes the best laid plans get derailed by massive projects and deadlines that can’t be missed. And your kid being in an evacuation zone for some of these crazy California fires (no worries, he came back from school WELL before the actual evacuations were announced and it’s super awesome to have him hanging around the house doing his thing for the foreseeable future).

(That last sentence sounded sarcastic when I read it back, but I really do like having him home, so it’s 100% heartfelt.)

The point I’m trying to make is that things have been pushed back a bit. Part 4 will be heading out into the wild in November and part 5 in December. I’m not making any plans beyond that until I’m sure I can stick to them.

So…enjoy the next part of Cin and Vane’s adventure!

Genre: Monster Erotica, Paranormal Romance

Their road trip thus far had been rather uneventful and Cin was hoping it would stay that way. After all, looking for a lost gargoyle was more than enough adventure for one little human.

But strange things can happen while adventuring and meeting new friends is one of them.

So, as it turns out, is having your mate go all gargoyle-protective over you when he thinks you’re in danger.

Cin doesn’t mind Vane’s protective instinct, but it’s going to take a little time to adjust to their newfound friend. Which is fine. Because every mile brings them closer to her mate’s lost brother and Cin will do anything to help her gargoyle achieve his dreams.

Even make friends with a siren.

Warning: This book contains a lonely siren who just wants to reconnect with the supernatural population around her. Don’t worry, though, a true heart can’t be swayed and Vane’s heart belongs to Cin.

Feature Friday – No Reservations

Feature Friday at KellyApple.com

Ohhhh, yeah. Bran and Cami. They’re a little crazy, a lot steamy, and BOY do they get into some ridiculous situations.

Not going to lie, they were a hoot to write. Not to mention Cami and Luna’s friendship. THAT WAS FUN.

No Reservations is the beginning of The Wicked Pride series and I sincerely loved how madcap I got to make these characters. I wanted to write something over the top and fast-paced and I think I managed it.

So here’s to Bran and Cami! Those crazy shifters!

Genre: Paranormal Romance

Cami Patterson has the worst luck with men. Everyone in her pride knows it and they steer clear of her so they don't end up with a broken bone or two or, even worse, dead. Needless to say, when her best friend sets her up on a blind date with a werewolf visiting from out of town, she doesn't expect anything to come of it.

She certainly doesn't expect a night of non-stop excitement including thwarting a robbery, getting chased by the police, and almost causing an international incident. Who has time to enjoy themselves with all that going on? Or of hooking up with her sex-on-a-stick date?

Cami just might have met her match in the wolf who laughs in the face of danger and doesn't hesitate to jump in when there's a damsel in distress. Who knew it would take a wolf to brave this cat's run of bad relationships?

Feature Friday – Possessed

Feature Friday at KellyApple.com

I feel like I don’t give enough love to Possessed.

This was a fun, sexy haunted-house-that-isn’t-really-a-haunted-house book I wrote about two years ago. I’d always planned for it to be part of a series, but I haven’t found the time to write book 2. I should fix that.

Char is…prickly, let’s say. She’s not thrilled her new house comes with a resident ghost and she’s kid of bitchy about some of the things it does.

Except, her ghost ends up being kind of helpful and SUPER sexy and THINGS GO FROM THERE.

As they do.

When she bought her new house, Char James didn't plan to also take on a ghost. It’s rude, creepy, and a downright terrible roommate. Despite that, she’s determined to show it they can live in harmony. Hopefully.

But Char's entire perspective changes when a surprise encounter rocks her world. She learns that sometimes pranks can be helpful, sometimes a ghost isn’t really a ghost...

And sometimes the scariest creature of all is the most protective.

Looking Back on September

Looking Back on September

September was a GOOD month!

Yep, it saw the release of TWO books AND I started writing the next book in the Monstrous World series.

Rock Hard (Heart of Stone #1) came out September 2.

Grit and Bear It (Heart of Stone #2) came out September 21.

In case you missed it, Heart of Stone is the first book in the Monstrous World series. Wild at Heart will be book 2 and that’s being written as we speak.

My current plan is to release a HoS book every three weeks or so. Meaning part 3 will be hitting ereaders mid-October and part 4 in early November. While that is subject to change if anything unforeseen happens (like I lose track of dates or something), that’s the plan as of now.

So, yeah. September was a GOOD month. A little crazy, sure, but still good.

And since October is my birthday month, I’m expecting great things out of it, too!

Lookie, lookie! Grit and Bear It is LIVE and that means you can grab some road tripping goodness with Vane and Cin!

ROAD TRIP, EVERYONE! (Okay, not everyone, but there are a few familiar faces joining our gargoyle and his human love. FUN STUFF!)

Genre: Monster Erotica, Paranormal Romance

Planning a road trip with your gargoyle honey is fun…until you realize you’re utterly terrified of flying.

Cin Malone is ready to hit the road with her mate so they can seek out Vane’s long-lost brother. Sure, she might be a tiny bit afraid of the flying part of the trip, but she can totally get over that, right?

Vane disagrees. Now they’re setting out in the communal van with a couple of traveling companions and only a vague idea of where they’re heading.

It’s the perfect road trip set-up.

And if they find out a few things about one another along the way, even better.

Warning: The book contains a gargoyle who realizes he made a mistake in the past, a human who underestimated her fear of flying, and semi-public sexy times. This is road tripping at its best and Vane and Cin are in for a wild ride.
