Let Us Do Recycling


The peak period of garbage in Taiwan comes both before and after the Lunar New Year holiday. Every household also generates many recyclables due to gift boxes. So, in Hualien, hundreds of volunteers chose to come to the recycling station during the holiday.

In Guatemala, Tzu Chi Gives Stationery and Scholarships to Children


In San José Pinula, Guatemala, Tzu Chi has distributed stationery to schoolchildren for 11 years. This year, to encourage students, it awarded a scholarship of GTQ 100 (US$12.77) to those with an average grade of over 90 in the school year.

Tzu Chi Warms Homeless in California after Heavy Rain


In early January, heavy rain caused disasters in Northern California, USA. Among the worst hit were homeless people – the water soaked their clothes and their only belongings. Volunteers in Auckland and other places went to distribute food and warm clothes. They benefited 11 homeless people.

Hong Kong has little land and a dense population – this makes parking a big problem. How can Tzu Chi's recycling truck go to  designated locations to collect recyclables effectively? Hong Kong Tzu Chi volunteers are very dedicated to environmental protection, because there is only one earth.

Tzu Chi Continues to Support Pakistani Families after Floods


Since the rainy season in Pakistan began last June 2022, the land has been submerged by floods. So far, by rough estimates, more than 1,700 people have died, including more than 600 children; in addition, tens of millions have been affected by the flood, with more than 20 million people having to rely on humanitarian aid to survive.
