The Life and Struggles of a Large Family from Ukraine

Every Ukrainian family that left Ukraine after the full-scale invasion of Russia in February, 2022, has its own story and its own difficulties. In this article, we will tell you about the wonderful, big, friendly Verbovsky family from Ternopil in Ukraine, consisting of mother Maryana, father Nazar, and five children. The Verbovsky family arrived in Poland on March 16, 2022. The main reason for leaving home was to find a safe place for the children and to find a place for the rehabilitation of their youngest son, who was not even two years old at the time, and who has a rare diagnosis.

Lamiya Lin, Strong Pillar of Tzu Chi's Charity in Jordan


On December 13, 2022, Lamiya Lin, a staff member of Tzu Chi in Jordan, was officially certified as a Tzu Chi commissioner. Not only did Master Cheng Yen, founder of the Foundation, give her blessings in person, but Lamiya’s parents and many Tzu Chi volunteers also came to congratulate her.

In Cold Winter, Tzu Chi Cares for Homeless in Taiwan


In December, the first cold wave of the winter struck Taiwan. After nightfall, the temperature fell sharply. Tzu Chi volunteers carried socks, scarves and warm jackets to help homeless people resist the cold winter.
