Ask Not On Whom the Bell Tolls

If you can hang a small bell (a Disneyland bell, in this case) on someone's back belt loop, it will jingle, jingle, jingle.

Best of all, your target won't notice it's there for a while. What a great idea! (The source site is a little salty, so I won't track back to it...and it looks like it's on hiatus anyway.)

Wingsuits Are Neat

Pick this up at 0:45. That's when a guy named Jeb Corliss jumps out of the helicopter and...well, you have to watch it.

Coolest Bike Trailer Ever!

I was walking past this kid's bike when I noticed it had a little trailer attached to it. What I like best is how the trailer is obviously home-made...here's a closer look.

Duct tape 'n' cardboard. baby!

How Do You Get to Outer Space?

With a balloon, a camera, and an iPhone. That's all that Luke Geissbuhler used to fly a mini spacecraft 19 miles up in the air! (The iPhone gave the spacecrafts GPS coordinates, so that Luke could track it down when it landed. Check out the footage.

1:15 getting ready to launch.

2:10 countdown!

6:28 the batteries die!

Throw a Grenade, Grow a Buttercup

The Flower Grenade is the latest weapon available for the guerilla gardener. Are you annoyed by a neglectful neighbor's yard? Perhaps you're fond of a traffic island with arable soil?

Either way, just chuck a Flower Grenade at it. The thrown explosive willl break open, detonating shrapnel in the form of buttercup and poppy seeds. And then, um, flowers will grow...and that'll be cool and stuff.

We Love Good Reviews!

The hard-working staff here at Unexpectedly Bart got an e-mail this weekend from Hannah, who wrote:

I love The Big Book Of Girl Stuff. I just finished it and I'm starting it again . . . I would give the book 5 stars. I hope you continue to write more girl books.
Now that would put a smile on ANYONE'S face...and make their mustaches curl, too. (Thanks, Hannah!)
