Come To Me Quietly Author: A.L. Jackson Cover Reveal & Giveaway

Title:  Come To Me QuietlyAuthor:  A.L. JacksonExpected Release Date:   January 7, 2014Genre:   New Adult Erotic Romance Cover reveal organized by: Shh Moms ReadingGoodreads:  http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17...

SynopsisFrom the acclaimed bestselling author of Lost to You and When We Collide comes a new adult novel of one woman’s obsession: a man who’s as passionate as he is elusive—and as tempting as he is trouble.…

Aleena Moore is haunted by Jared Holt. It’s been six years since she’s seen her brother’s best friend, the self-destructive bad boy she secretly loved in high school. As the years pass, she knows it’s time to move on. Time to decide between a practical nursing degree and her true dream as an artist. Time to get over Jared and give another guy a chance…

Just when she opens her heart to her friend Gabe, Aly returns home to find Jared sleeping on her couch. The teenage boy she loved has grown into a man she can’t resist. Covered in tattoos and lost in rage, he’s begging to be saved from his demons—the memories of the day he destroyed his family. As the two reconnect, their passion is hot enough to torch Aly’s judgment. But can she risk her future for a man who lives on the edge of destruction?

Teaser JaredWhat the hell was I doing?Everything about this situation was wrong. Aly kneeling in front of me. Touching me. She was close, too close. I could taste her breath, and I kept catching hints of that fucking delicious coconut body wash I’d used last night. Somehow it smelled a thousand times better on her. These urges constantly hit me, and I couldn’t help imagining what it’d be like to bury my nose in the haven behind her ear, to press my mouth at her jaw, to tangle my hands in her hair. Against my better judgment, which could so easily be called into question, anyway, I gave in. Took a little.I was always so good at taking. The strand of hair I tugged between my fingers was soft, like silk against my callused skin. The action should’ve been innocent enough. I remembered doing it often when we were children, just a small act of affection to let her know it was okay she was there. There was never anything more to it than that. But I knew better now, knew it would stir the need I’d felt in the pit of my stomach since I found her backed against that wall last night, since she’d driven me half-mad in her kitchen this morning, since I’d stumbled into her apartment like the piece of trash I was tonight. Somehow she still found me worthy, kneeling in front of me as if I deserved even a scrap of the attention she gave me now. With her head down, she attended to the wounds on my other hand. I allowed my gaze to fall, to trace the face I wanted to trace with my hands.I didn’t think I’d ever felt intrigued by a girl before the way I was now, had never wanted to crawl inside someone’s mind to dig through her thoughts, to find out who she was. Why she was. Aly’s green eyes were both fierce and soft, her touch both intent and gentle. She was kind, yet she didn’t hesitate to call me out on my shit. She made me itch and squirm, made me want to run and want to stay. She began taping up my second hand, forging this little truce between us, steadily sucking me deeper into a place I knew I shouldn’t go.But I couldn’t stop it.There was something about being alone with her in the seclusion of this apartment that I liked, like maybe we were sharing some kind of secret that no one else could touch.A distorted sense of security. For just a little while, I wanted to drift in the delusion.I watched her as she worked. Every couple of seconds, she glanced up at me with those eyes that seemed to know more than they should.Aly shifted closer. I attempted to scoot back without her noticing, but she tugged on my hand. “Would you hold still? You’re worse than a two-year-old,” she said. Was she oblivious of what she was doing to me? Every time she moved, her chest brushed against my knees, and damn, if it wasn’t the greatest temptation I’d ever had to endure. Did she know how badly I wanted to touch her? To take a little more? Maybe take it all? My thoughts raced ahead, and I wondered what she’d do if I edged off the couch and laid her back on the floor. Would she stop me? Or would she allow me to feed off her compassion and goodness? Would she let me wreck her? Destroy her? Because that was the only thing I knew how to do.I sucked in a breath and held it. No fucking way was I going there. Not with her, even if she was the only girl who’d ever made me feel like I had to have her. The first who’d ever made me want. That in itself was a pretty damned good reason to stay away from her. That and the fact that she was Aly.My Aly.She sat back on her haunches. Her smile was soft when she looked up at me. “See? That wasn’t so bad, was it?”“Thank you,” I said honestly, because it’d been a long time since anyone had taken care of me. It hurt to think of the last time someone had.“You’re welcome.” Her voice was quiet, and she sat there, just staring at me, a lot like we had last night, although now things seemed completely different.“You’d better get some rest. It’s really late,” I said. I’d lain flat out on the hard ground for hours while I let myself sober up to the point where I could at least get myself back to the apartment, and I hadn’t come crawling up the stairs until three in the morning.“Yeah, you’d better, too.” She sounded a little disappointed. Her delicate hands pressed into the couch on the outside of my legs as she helped herself to stand. This time her hair did brush against my chest. We both froze with the contact, and she looked down at me, her face three inches from mine. She hovered there, her eyes searching.Motherfucking trigger.I wet my lips and found my voice, although it was heavy with strain. “Please go to your room, Aly.”Blinking, she nodded before she pushed herself the rest of the way up. She paused at her door, whispered, “Good night,” and then disappeared inside her bedroom.

Excerpt #1 from Samantha’s POV
Later that night, Samantha was in the bathroom getting ready for bed while Lance was performing his nightly ritual of checking on Emma before coming to bed. She was going to miss these little routines their family had. She glanced at herself in the mirror. She’d managed to slip on the sheer, lacy black teddy Lance had bought her in Vegas when they got married. He had a thing for lingerie despite the fact he couldn’t keep it on her for longer than a few minutes. Tonight would probably be no exception. She turned off the bathroom light and climbed onto their king size bed to wait for him. They had designed their bedroom to be a sanctuary, a place to relax after long months on the road or in LA while he was recording. There was a fireplace and a small sitting area and Lance had to have a big screen TV. There were times when they would get home from LA and they’d spend days in this room. She loved it, but it would be empty without Lance. “Must’ve worn her out at the park today; she’s out cold,” Lance said as he walked into the room. He shut the door behind him and his eyes widened when he saw her. “Holy shit, Sam. What are you trying to do to me?” A shiver went down her spine; the teddy had its desired effect. Lust and desire were written all over Lance’s face. “Oh nothing, just getting ready for bed,” she stated nonchalantly. “What-the-fuck-ever, woman,” he mumbled, pulling his t-shirt over his head and tossing it across the room. He undid his belt and had his jeans and boxers off in record time. He hopped onto the bed by her and pulled her under him. His erection was hard against her thigh. That didn’t take long. “You know I love that thing on you,” he growled into her ear. “And I’ve been semi-hard since earlier this afternoon. I’m not going to play around right now, Sam. I need to be inside you.” His words sent a spark of desire straight to her womb. She reached up and cupped his face in her hands, looking deep into his blue eyes. “Then take me, Lance. Make love to me,” she whispered. She didn’t need foreplay tonight either; she needed to feel him inside her. She needed to be close to him tonight.
He made a sound deep in his throat and kept his eyes on hers as he thrust inside her. She moaned softly and arched beneath him, savoring the feel of him filling her. She wrapped her legs around him and ran her nails down his back. They made love the rest of the night, dozing on and off in between sessions. They touched and kissed each other all over, sometimes taking their time, sometimes with a sense of urgency.

Excerpt #2 form Lance’s POV
The flight home was pretty uneventful. He tried to write, but he was too distracted by the thought of seeing his family. He thought about getting a small drink, but Sam would kill him if she smelled alcohol on him. He tried to read, but the words on the page wouldn’t register. He put in his ear buds and listened to the playlist Sam had made for him before he left. It was filled with songs from when they were kids, especially their song, “I Remember You.” He put it on repeat and closed his eyes. He woke up to the sound of the pilot telling them to fasten their seatbelts. He’d fallen asleep for most of the flight, but wasn’t really surprised considering the tough schedule they’d been on. He started getting antsy waiting for the plane to land. When he finally got the okay to turn on his phone, the first thing he did was text her that he’d landed. Hopefully she and Emma were waiting for him.
She sent a quick reply that they were at the airport already. His head fell back on the seat. He was finally going to hold his woman in his arms and he wasn’t sure he would be able to let her go. As he got off the plane, Lance had to keep from pushing people out of his way. He gripped his bag in his hands and took a deep breath. He couldn’t believe it, but he was nervous to see Sam. He walked through the airport, looking around for them. His face broke out into a smile when he noticed her standing there, Emma next to her holding her hand. His pace quickened as he walked to them; they hadn’t seen him yet. He scooped up Emma into his arms, startling her. “Hey peanut!” he exclaimed, planting a big kiss on her cheek. She squealed and threw her arms around his neck. “Daddy!” He glanced over to Sam. She was even more beautiful than he remembered – than what hesaw in his dreams. Her stomach had really popped while he was gone; he loved it. “Hey you,” he whispered softly, drawing her close to him with his free arm. “Hey,” she replied, her eyes filling with tears as she buried her face in his chest.“Shhh,” he chided, leaning down to kiss the top of her blonde hair. “It’s ok, I’m here now.” She nodded and sniffled. “I’ve missed you so much, Lance.” She looked up at him. Hecouldn’t help but notice the dark circles under her eyes. Guilt stabbed at him for leaving heralone while he went out and pursued his dream. “I’ve missed you too baby,” he admitted, hugging her tight. After this tour, that was it. If she couldn’t come along on tour, he wasn’t going to do it. He wasn’t going to leave her again for this long. They stood in the middle of the airport like that for a few minutes. He had his family back in his arms again and he wasn’t in any hurry to let them go. Sam pulled away first. “Let’s get you home,” she said with a smile. Lance grinned aback at her. “Yes, let’s get me home,” he agreed. He couldn’t wait to get backhome.

The following are excerpts of Anywhere With You…a New Adult romance by Kaylee Ryan releasing August 20, 2013.

Liam’s POV

I stop in front of the bathroom door and lean my forehead against it.  I can hear her soft cries.  I knock softly, “Allison, it’s Liam can you let me in, sweetheart.”

“Just give me a minute, I’ll be fine,” she chokes out.

“Please,” I whisper.

I hear her shuffling towards the door and then hear the handle move.  When she pulls the door open her face is blotchy and her eyes are red and swollen.  Without even thinking I step inside and shut the door.  I pull her close to me and wrap her in my arms.  I kiss the top of her head and as I do she begins to cry harder.  I’m not sure how long we stay like that but, while I am holding her I lose a piece of myself to Allison Shay Hagan.

She pulls away from me slowly. “Sorry about your shirt,” she whispers.

I pull her chin up with my thumb and forefinger so that she is looking me in the eye, “Are you okay?  Do you want to talk about it?”

She shakes her head no. “I feel like such a baby.  It was years ago, I should be able to talk about it.”

“Is there something in particular that upset you?” I ask softly as I pull her back into my chest and slowly rub my hand up and down her back.

“Not really, it’s just…” she sniffles.

“What baby, what happened?

“It’s just family dinners.  I miss those, for the last eight years it’s just been Gran and I.”

I can’t find words through the lump in my throat.  My only reply is to pull her tighter.  As I do, she in turn wraps her arms tight around my waist.  After getting my emotions under control, I pull away from her and cup her face in my hands.  I wipe her tears away with my thumbs.  “You are amazing, you have so many people who love you, Aiden, his parents and Hailey.  My parents adore you.”  I swallow back my emotions. “You have me,” I whisper never tearing my eyes from hers.

“Liam,” she murmurs.

Her plea sends me over the edge I slowly bring her face to mine as I lean down.  I stare at her lips and then back to her eyes letting her know my intent.  I need to kiss her more than I need my next breath.  I wait, as my intentions set in, I can see when understanding flashes across her face, she licks her lips.  I lean a little closer, closing the space between us.  Hesitating, giving her the opportunity to stop me, she doesn’t.

When my lips touch hers I feel the tremor in my hands that are gently holding her close to me.  She must have felt it to because she places her hands over mine as I continue to caress her cheeks while I kiss her.  She opens her mouth and I slip my tongue inside.  The taste of her on my tongue causes me to release a deep moan, as I do Allison slows the kiss and rests her forehead against my chest.

“Liam.”

“Mmm,” I am again at a loss for words.  I have kissed my share of girls and not once did any of those kisses elicit this kind of reaction from me.  I have never in my life felt this kind of connection with any other human being.

“What are we doing?”

I kiss her forehead as I pull back to look her in the eye. “I was kissing the most amazing girl I have ever met.” I need her to know that she is different.

She blushes “I want more Liam.  Not that I expect a proposal next week but you’ve already made it clear that you won’t make a commitment, so what are we doing?”

I shake my head and pull her back to my chest. “I don’t know baby.  All that I can tell you is that kiss was incomparable to anything I have ever felt.  You wreck me, you know that?” I ask searching her face for understanding.

“Well, since that was officially my first kiss, I don’t have anything to compare it to, but this feeling” she grabs my hand and lays it over her heart. “This connection that makes my heart race is uncharted waters for me.  I wish that I could hold onto it and never let go.” She sighs, “But I need all of you Liam, I don’t want to share you, and I can’t just be a fling.  My heart can’t take it.”  She brushes her hands across my cheek.  “If you ever decide that you can give me all of you, you know where to find me.” She lifts up on her tip toes and gives me one last chaste kiss on the lips.  “Thank you for listening and for the kiss” she says as she turns and walks out of the room.

I stand there trying to regain control of my emotions while her words race through my mind.

Allison POV

I wake up feeling like I am being crushed.  I open my eyes and it all comes rushing back to me.  Liam.  I am lying flat on my back and he is sleeping soundly with his head on my chest, arms around my waist and his leg thrown over mine.  I can’t prevent the smile that I know I was sporting.  He held me in his arms all night.  I glance out the window and it’s still dark outside, good.  This gives me some time to watch him in the shadows.  I move my hand to his head and begin running my fingers through his hair.  Liam has taken me by storm, body, mind and heart.  I was worried that he would want more from me before I am ready and even that he is “playing me” to get into my pants, but he has treated me with nothing but love and respect.  Love?  I highly doubt that it’s love but I can tell that he truly cares for me.  The way he looks at me, touches me, holds me.  He makes me feel wanted.

I can feel myself falling harder and faster by the minute.  I’m scared as hell, but I’m going to go with it.  I’m going to paint my colors on the canvas of life and see how the picture turns out.  My only hope is that Liam and I can continue on this journey together.

I continue running my fingers through his hair, watching him sleep when a loud clap of thunder rumbles through.  I jump not expecting it and Liam bolts up.  “Allie what’s wrong?”  I can’t contain the laugh that escapes me.

“Nothing, the thunder just scared me, I wasn’t expecting it,” I tell him as he pulls me into his arms.

“Did it wake you up baby?” he asks softly as he strokes his fingers across my back.

“No, I was awake,” I reply just as softly. “What? Why were you awake?  Are you okay?” he asks.

I giggle at how concerned he is for me. “Liam, I’m fine.  I was…I was watching you sleep.”  I reach up and run my hands through his hair.  “I was doing this, and memorizing everything that I could about you.” I decide honestly is the best policy.  Well almost, I refuse to tell him that I think I’m in love with him.  Hell to the no! That would scare him off for sure.“I thought that I was dreaming but you’re really here,” he speaks softly into my neck.

“Yes, I’m here. You can go back to sleep, I’m sorry that I woke you.” I curl tighter against his chest.

Liam tugs the covers back over us and kisses the top of my head.  “Can we spend the day together?” he asks me groggily.  I’m not completely sure that he’s not talking in his sleep.  I hold in the chuckle that wants to escape me.  I don’t want to wake him again if he is sleeping.

“I would want nothing more,” I reply honestly.

OMG!!  I have no idea how to review this book.  It is unlike anything that I have ever read.  It makes Undeniable seem like a fairy tale.  I swear this is the darkest book that I have ever read.  It’s just…  It’s painful, but in a good way.  I am not even going to go into the plot.  All I’ll say is that it is twisted beyond belief.  I will give you a warning though…  If you do not like to read about rape, this book is not for you.  Charlee…  I loved this chick.  I wanted to bring her home and take care of her.  I truly wanted to be her mother, friend, sister…  Whatever it was she needed.  Jay… what can I say.  I love a bad boy. Especially one that can be good when he wants to be.  I was pulling for him the entire book.
Separate they were great, but together they were amazing!  This is one of the great literary couples.  I do not say that lightly!! These two were made for each other.
It was well written.  Pam has a way of describing the most painful scenes that will make you cringe.  It was amazing at how detailed she would get.  You have to stop and wonder where in hell she came up with all this shit.   But, it was f88ked up!!!
Would I recommend this book? Yes, but make sure that you take note of my warning.  Do not read this book if you like sweet little love stories.  If you want something that will stay with you for days after you quit reading, this is the book for you!Amazonhttp://www.amazon.com/dp/B00E9G5GZA

Pam Godwin Pam Godwin lives in Missouri with her husband, their two children, and a foulmouthed parrot. When she ran away, she traveled fourteen countries across five continents, attended three universities, and married the vocalist of her favorite rock band. Now, she resides in her hometown, earning her living as a portfolio research analyst, and living her yearning as a writer. Java, tobacco, and dark romance novels are her favorite indulgences, and might be considered more unhealthy than her aversion to sleeping, eating meat, and dolls with blinking eyes.FACEBOOK: facebook.com/pamgodwinbooks
