I was lucky enough to get the chance to beta read Unforeseen Heartbeat. Thank you, Maureen for the opportunity to see it before everyone else and the chance to claim Hunter as mine before everyone else tried to call dibs on him. :)
UH is a sweet and sexy read. We get a hot as heck hero and sweet and sassy heroine. I loved that Maddie was a little damaged emotionally, it added so much to the story. Hunter was so strong and seemed to have it all together. I'm so happy that Maureen didn't make him to perfect; he did mess up once and messed up big!
I also loved the fact that Maddie didn't just role over and take his crap. She made him work to win her heart, and he was willing to do anything to have her as part of his life. 
I loved the relationship between the heroine and her roommate, Robbie. I swear the way Maddie and Robbie interacted added an entire new level to the book. I can not wait to hear more about Him. I need to see him get his HEA.
The sex scenes were steamy, but the almost sex scenes were down right hot. I'm not sure if I've ever been more turned on by a kiss. I really wish I could make Hunter come to my house and give my hubby some lessons. Of course, he could use me as a visual aide while he teaches. :)
This book can be read as a stand alone, but I do recommend reading Relinquishing Liberty first. The characters of that book play pivotal roles in this story, so knowing there story will add to your enjoyment. Plus, RL is a must read!
