Searching for tomorrow - Cover reveal

Add to your shelf!
Blurb:
What happens when you find the one person who completes you, and then life conspires against you? How do you set your grief and anguish aside? How do you pick up the shattered pieces, put those pieces back together again, and try to move on?
Katie and Tripp met on the playground the first day of third grade when Tripp tried to rescue Katie from Zack, her twin brother. A lifelong friendship that later blossomed into love began that day.
Broken beyond her own ability to repair, Katie boxes her grief up and attempts to raise her three girls the best she can on her own. As time slowly passes, Katie relives her times with Tripp while struggling most days to even get out of bed. She is reminded of him at every turn.
Zack is Katie's twin brother and was Tripp's best friend. Having lost his own love, he dedicates himself to helping Katie put her life back together. Throw in a mother-in-law who torments at every turn and poor Katie can't even find a chance to breathe, much less a desire to somehow search for tomorrow.

Author Interview:
Tell us 5 surprising things about yourself.
1. I am a PK. If you know what that means, then you know what that means.
2. I have always wanted to be a red head with long, beautiful corkscrew curls.
3. No matter what I’m doing, I would rather be outside, day or night, hot or cold, rain or shine.
4. I was awarded two separate scholarships when I graduated high school. One was a teaching fellowship and the other was for writing.
5. I love to cook, almost as much as I like to eat. I spent a couple of years as a private cook for a local family and loved every minute of it
What is your writing environment?
At the moment, I have a makeshift office in my pantry! If need be, I can shut the door and cut off part of the noise. I hope to have a more permanent space soon.
One of your favorite quotes.
To whom much is given, much is required.
Random things about my novel.
Just a bit of nonsense. I am Kathryn Anne, and my two sisters are Rebekah Elizabeth and Sarah Margaret. My husband is Channing, and my son is Zachary. One of my daughters is Elizabeth, and I still have to work my daughter Brittany into the book. Highlands is my most favorite place in the world to go when my soul need refreshing. Last, but not least, I actually had a great-grandma Tiddy!
Flirting Questions
What does love feel like?
Warm, fuzzy, secure, safe, sheltered
How did you meet your significant other?
In the lobby of the bank that I worked in. I was on all fours under a Christmas tree tightening the screws in the base. What can I say? Baby got back!
If you could take a romantic trip, where would it be?
Any trip I take with Hubs is romantic. One of his favorite things to do is to whisk me away to wine and dine me.
Do you believe in love at first sight?
Absolutely! Ask me how I feel about my grandson Grayson!

Bio:
About this author If you are reading this, I think you should know that "About me" sounds so very pretentious to me. I guess that is what I am supposed to write about, so here it goes!
Katie Mac is a simple country girl who likes to spend time with her hubba, hunka hubby, her three kids and her friends. She loves to cook and really loves to eat! During the spring and summer, you will more than likely find her outside puttering around in her garden. When the veggies start coming in, she will probably be sweating over a hot canner in the kitchen, canning all the goodies she is blessed with. Katie likes to hike and go camping, and as a Girl Scout leader, she gets to do this pretty often! On cold winter nights, you will probably find her wrapped in a warm blanket, lost in a good book, while sitting in her rocking chair on the front porch!
Katie was born and raised in North Carolina, and while she loves to travel, she can't imagine ever leaving the mountains that she has come to call home. Not a day goes by that Katie doesn't thank God for abundantly blessing her. He has been so good to her, and she is very grateful. She holds Jeremiah 29:11 very close to her heart and believes it with every fiber of her being. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."Katie loves flip flops, chocolate, sweet tea and dirt between her toes. As far back as she can remember, she's had a book in her hand. Reading has carried her to places she will never go. It has introduced her to people that she will never meet. When life is great and when it is rough, she's always been able to find a book to carry her through. She finally decided to write down some of the stories in her head (yes, be scared) and heart after dawdling around and wasting years dreaming. She hopes you enjoy reading those stories as much as she loves writing them!

Reaching Out For You By: S. Moose Blog Tour And Giveaway

Reaching Out For YouBy: S. MooseAdam and Sophia were best friends but when tragedy strikes it's more than Adam can handle and he leaves Sophia alone in the dark.Four years later, Adam and Sophia are reunited and the sparks between them return but is it too late?Sophia is happy again and has let go of the darkness. She has great friends and a sweet boyfriend name Kyle. Now that Adam is back how will she be able to balance her boyfriend and her best friend? The darkness always finds you again but will Adam be able to save her or leave her again?

Reaching Out For You is a sweet romance, with just enough twists and turns to keep things exciting. I don’t usually care for chick lit, and I would definitely label this as chick lit . However, the book just had a little extra “something” that touched me.
Sophia and Adam were best friends since they were young, but tragedy ripped them apart.
Now, Sophia is a shell of her former self. She goes to school, counseling, dates a boy, but its really all a sham. In truth, she is running on autopilot. Then she sees Adam again, and its like she can breathe for the first time in years. But theres a problem!
Kyle and Sophia have been dating for awhile, but she knows it is going nowhere. He is sweet in public, but he is abusive when they're alone. So she finally breaks up with him and finds her way back to Adam, and they live happily ever after. Wait.... you didn’t think it would be that easy did you.
Kyle is not ready to let Sophia go. She is his, and he is determined to get her back. If he can’t have her no one will. Let the fireworks begin....
Adam does everything he can to protect Sophia, but she doesn’t make it easy. At times, I wanted to pull her out of the book and shake some sense into her.
I mean really... If you have an evil ex stalking you, let you knew hottie protect you!!
Oh Adam:) Such a sweetie. He wasn't my type of guy. I am all about the alpha male, but Adam is exactly the type of guy I want for my daughter.
Why a four star? Well, I just didn't understand some of Sophia’s actions. Some times she was a smart courageous woman, but other times she was just plain stupid. I just did not understand the differences in her behavior.
I was surprised to find out this was S. Moose's first book. A lot of times, first books are filled with errors. But this book was really well edited. High five to the beta readers and editors:)

Bent (Back to Brooklyn #1) by H.B. Heinzer Blog Tour
Bent (Back to Brooklyn #1)by H.B. Heinzer If there’s one thing Julia Wilson has learned in life, it’s that you can’t push your own dreams to the background for anyone. Newly divorced, Julia returns to the hometown she once swore would never see her again. Her plan is simple; enjoy the cheap rent her friend is offering and stay just long enough to develop a plan to make her own dreams come true.
It doesn't take long before Julia realizes she’s made a big mistake.
Micah Anderson came closer to breaking Julia than anyone else ever had. After promising her forever, he broke her heart the week before she left for college. Now, Julia’s back in town and he’s going to have to tell her the truth about why he left her. It’s not possible to hide a twelve year old child when you live in a town of 5,000 people.
Is following her dreams worth it if it means giving up on a second chance with her first love? Is trying to make a relationship work worth it if his past becomes a threat to her safety?

Bent is reunion romance, which is my absolute favorite story line. Ms. Heinzer did a great job putting her own twist on it! I liked Julia, but I did get irritated with her a time or two. She was very wishy washy. I wanted to shake her and tell her to make up her mind already!I really liked Micah. I think he should have told Julie to get the f*ck over it already! But, I still really liked him. He didn’t make it on my book boyfriend list, but he would make a perfect one night stand ;) I really liked Micah’s son. He was funny, snotty… just a typical pre-teen boy. The story starts with Julia getting a divorce and moving back to her hometown. She meets her high school boyfriend again. Love follows. Great writing. Just enough sex to add a buzz to the story. Would I recommend it? Yes

There is a book 2 now! Thank God!!Loved, Loved, Loved Avalynn. She was just what I look for in a heroine. She was sweet, innocent, loving… She made me want to jump into the book and give her a giant hug. I wanted in Dax’s pants as soon as he appeared. (Or maybe I should say that I wanted him out of his pants.) He was awesome. Hot as hell. Total alpha male rocker! I loved how he was with Abby. Abby… What can I say? I adored that little girl. It’s nice to see a child with special needs portrayed in a positive way. In Spades is fast paced. At times, maybe a bit too fast. I felt like I speed reading just to keep up. But, I still loved it!
I’m not going to delve into the plot. I think the synopsis summed it up well enough. I will say that it is a fun and exciting read.

EXCERPT
“The day I went back to go get Abby. She was just an infant. I was eighteen years old, bright eyed and bushy tailed. I thought that I was bigger than the world, stronger than him. It didn’t end well, though. It ended with me in the hospital, not able to remember too much at first. I have flashbacks all the time and you’ve actually witnessed a couple of my freak outs. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner what was going on. I just didn’t know how. My dad almost beat me to death and shortly after took his own life. He slammed me repeatedly into our hallway mirror and that’s why I have a hard time to this day looking into them. I hate remembering. Sadly, his words hurt me more than the physical. I was used to the physical. I deep down was still hoping he loved me despite it. But he didn’t, he couldn’t. But I would always love him.” I took a breath and sat contemplating to myself why he couldn’t love me, why I was never good enough. Daxton interrupted my thoughts and finally spoke, his shaky voice causing my nerves to throb.
“Well…I don’t know what else to say. None of my words can possibly take away your pain or go back in time but, I love you. I know it isn’t a consolation and I also know it’s too soon for you.I don’t expect you to say it back or expect anything at all for that matter. We have only been seeing each other for a couple of months now, but I just want you to know. I need you to know. I love you so fuckin’ much already it’s hard to breathe. It feels like my heart is trying to escape from my chest and take residence in the palm of your hands. I want to wrap you in my arms and protect you from all the things you’ve ever had to face. I want to go back in time and hurt the bastard for hurting you. I want to hunt down any asshole who doesn’t love you the way that you deserve. You may be broken Ava, but you don’t need to be fixed. You are the epitome of perfect to me. You’re all I’ve ever wanted and I feel so got damn lucky to have you in my life. The both of you complete me. You and Abby are my family, my angels. Our pasts have been both pretty shitty the majority of the time, but happiness wouldn’t be so satisfying if we didn’t have to work for it. I’m not saying that I am happy about your suffering or the broken heart I faced…but I am a selfish fucker for saying that I’m glad we were lead on the paths that broke us down…because that path is what lead me to you. “

Playing With Fire by Ashley Piscitelli Blog Tour

Madison Stevens has had a shitty life, her mother died at the age four and her father has always blamed her for it. She went through the foster system and is now attending college. Her boyfriend Chris is not willing to share Madison with anyone, not even her friends.
Her first day at college she meets Carter James, who makes her want everything she never thought she could have. She knows that she should ignore her feelings for Carter, but it's not as easy as it sounds.
As Carter and Madison begin to fall in love, they face many obstacles. Their biggest one is Chris who is not going to let her go easily.
Playing with Fire will be the first book in a three book series. It is about the obstacles that stand in your way on the path to love. It tests the characters strength and commitment to each other on every level from old boyfriend/girlfriends, to insecurities, and throws a little violence and scheming into the mix.
"Chris was like fire. It was pretty to look at but if you got too close you got burnt, and if it wasn’t controlled it would destroy everything in its path. Doing what I was about to do with Carter was dangerous, but what I can say I never had parents to warn me not to play with fire."

Playing With Fire is a fast paced and truly exciting read. I absolutely fell in love with Carter. I want a Carter of my own, and I want him to do dirty things to me!
Madison Stevens is our heroine. She is sweet, loveable, and totally stupid! Her mother died, when she was young. This led to her father becoming an alcoholic, her being put into foster care, and her meeting the largest douche bag in the world…Chris!
Chris is abusive. He gets off on beating and humiliating Madison, and she lets him. That is where the stupid part of her character came in. Loved her, but I so wanted her to kick Chris to the curb.
Enter Carter…
Not going into detail. You need to get to know Carter all on your own!
When Carter meets Madison, he falls hard and fast. Madison also has feeling for him, but she is frightened of what Chris might do to Carter. So, she tries to stay away. Carter won’t let her, and Madison pays for it.
When Carter and Madison do get together, it is wonderfully sweet. Carter is an alpha with a sweet side. Loved it. This book has a very OMG cliffhanger. I cannot wait for book two. I need it now!Warning…. There is a rape scene in this book. It is not that graphic, but it is painful to read. Would I recommend it? Yes AMAZON - GOODREADS

Excerpt I looked around. I was completely lost and I was already running late for my first class. I took my schedule out of my purse to look at the building name again and, the next thing I knew, I was on the ground laying on top of some guy.Wait! What? What the hell just happened?! I looked up at the brick wall that I had landed on and forgot how to breathe for a minute. Staring back at me were the bluest eyes I had ever seen, not to mention that he was gorgeous. He was just looking at me, giving me a sexy smile. He was wearing a USC shirt, which I found funny because that’s not the school we were at. He had this brown hair that was just long enough to give it that sexy “I just rolled out of bed” look. He was smiling at me and that’s when I saw the dimples. I personally think that it is unfair that one guy is this good looking.“Hey, nice running into you”, the Greek god says. Damn, his voice was just as sexy as the rest of him. I had never met someone that made my insides clench from just a look and a short sentence. That’s when I realized I was still laying on top of him, and I hadn’t even said a word. Oh my god, he is going to think I am some crazy person!

Love Me Back By: Michelle Lynn

Love Me BackAuthor: Michelle LynnHosted by: Love Between the Sheets
Growing up in small-town Belcrest, Maddy Jennings always thought she was destined to be with her childhood sweetheart, Trent Basso. Throughout the complicated road she has traveled with Trent, someone else has had a strong presence in Maddy's life. Trent’s older brother Gabe has always been someone she could count on, therefore neither of them can be blamed when lines blur from friendship to something more. However, promises made between brothers threaten to ensure that neither of them will have a permanent place in her life.
When Maddy returns to her hometown for her brother’s wedding, she is forced to face both Trent and Gabe for the first time in two years. While the two Basso brothers fight to win her heart, she is busy struggling with a past that won't seem to let her go. Whether she wants to or not, Maddy must decide to either forfeit her own happiness or forever tear a family apart.

Love Me Back is the story of Maddy, Gabe, and Trent. We get to watch them grow from teenagers to adults. We see their relationship go through many changes. There was definitely an abundance of angst. But, there was a few light moments. Which kept the book from being a heavy read, and turned it into the perfect lazy day book.
Maddy is one of the most confused heroines, that I have ever had read about. She can't make up her mind about anything. She can't see what is right in from of her face either. I so wanted to slap her a time or two, but I still loved her.
I hate to say it, but I didn't loved either Gabe or Trent. I thought they both had to many issues. They were brothers, and I hate the whole brother competing thing. But, I did like them both.
I really did enjoy this book, but I wish it had been set up differently. I think if it had ran from the past to the present and not used flashbacks, I would have enjoyed so much more. But, I am never of fan of flashbacks.
Would I recommenced this book? Yes

Michelle Lynn has always been a reader, but her passion has become a full-blown addiction since her husband bought her a Kindle for Mother's Day. She's pretty sure that he regrets this on a regular basis. Especially when she has it propped up next to the stove while she cooks, which often results in a burnt dinner. Or when he loses sleep because the glow from the screen wakes him up when he rolls over at three in the morning. He does agree, however, that she uses this gift more than any other he has ever gotten her. She joking counters that, because of some of the steamy novels she reads, he also benefits more from this gift than any other he has gotten her. ;)
Michelle moved around the Midwest most of her life, transferring from school to school before settling down in the outskirts of Chicago ten years ago, where she now resides with her husband and two kids. She developed a love of reading at a young age, which helped lay the foundation for her passion to write. With the encouragement of her family, she finally sat down and wrote one of the many stories that have been floating around in her head. When she isn’t reading or writing, she can be found playing with her kids, talking to her mom on the phone, or hanging out with her family and friends. But after chasing around twin preschoolers all day, she always cherishes her relaxation time after putting the kids to bed.

Heather Richardson is a young girl that lives with her parents, in an old manor. She has a normal life, until she meets Ruben and Frank.
I liked Heather. She was a "good" young character. I loved watching her grow.
Ruben is older than Heather, and he is interested in her. His interest seemed odd to me from the very beginning.
Now Frank is interesting. As much as I liked Frank, his character was also a bit odd.
Heather has to deal with her feelings for both men, her questions about the men, and her newly acquired visions. What more can a girl handle?
I'm not going to delve into the story. To many details would definitely ruin this story.
It was well written, and any errors were unnoticeable to me.
Would I recommended it? Yes

Chapter One Ye Olde England “Oh, Mr Boswel,” Anna sighed awkwardly, biting her bottom lip as he gazed seductively into her eyes. She placed her small-gloved hand into his and he smiled, but no words passed between them. The heady concerto played by the musicians faded into insignificance, the guests and all their formalities forgotten in the moment. He led her into an open hallway towards the larger of two grand staircases. She could hardly breathe. His dark-brown eyes were hypnotic and with every gaze they burned into hers. His jet-black hair fell in soft waves around his shoulders, while small curls drifted onto his forehead, which he had a habit of flicking back to reveal his face. And oh, what a face, with his chiselled jawline, high cheekbones and overly full lips, perfect traits complemented by a rich olive skin tone and pretty, near perfect complexion. Anna had waited so long for this moment. She felt her legs trembling beneath her, hoping upon hope that they wouldn’t give way. Upon reaching the first floor, guilt descended upon her. She knew what she was about to embark on was wrong and that she’d be judged, but on second glance down the stairs, across the hall and through the arched doorway, she saw that those in attendance at the masquerade ball danced on and drank merrily, oblivious to their departure. She wasn’t allowed to linger for long, as Mr Boswel’s firm grip pulled her slightly off balance and she stumbled wearily. Aware that the hour was late, her gaze wandered briefly before coming to rest on the ornate grandfather clock in its regal attire, situated equidistantly between the two staircases, both hands sitting comfortably on the number one.Mr Boswel’s eyes held a warm reassurance as he led her across the landing towards a large oak door. “After you, madam,” he gestured, opening the door.“Thank y’ sir,” she uttered nervously. Why me? Anna thought to herself as her conscience juggled with reality, still questioning why he had given her the time of day. With his good looks and his status, he really could have anybody he desired. On close inspection, Anna knew she was anything but beautiful; even as a child, her mother referred to her as plain. It wasn’t that she had a bad face, just not an overly pretty one; her eyes perhaps too small, their colour quite insignificant – somewhere between light blue and grey – and strawberry-blonde hair scraped back rather severely in a bun. There wasn’t anything dynamic about her features either; even her nose had a slight tilt to the left – a flaw nobody else would have picked up on.Then the door closed behind them and they were alone at last, away from unwanted roving eyes. It was a moment she’d longed for, for what seemed like an eternity. She found herself in a large bedchamber, a four-poster bed made from a deep rich wood taking centre stage, its precise carvings inlaid with gold leaf in large spirals. Warm red silk drapes, not quite scarlet, perhaps a shade or two deeper complemented the bed. The room exuded wealth, with its deep-mahogany furnishings, high walls and numerous gilt edged portraits.Anna felt lost in her new surroundings.“Well, Anna…”She jumped, and her eyes were drawn once again towards the handsome Mr Boswel, who had already removed his shoes and was now reclined on the bed, propped up by two thick cotton bolsters. His long taupe waistcoat was draped untidily over a padded-back chair, and she watched tentatively as he started unbuttoning his linen shirt to reveal a toned physique.“Join me,” he murmured, his voice soft and inviting. Her heart was beating so heavily in her chest as she made her way over to the bed that she was sure he’d be able to hear. She was even tempted to hold her breath. He leaned his body forward towards hers as she sat nervously on the edge of the bed. She knew he was going to take her, and although she felt way out of her depth, she wanted him so very badly. He smelt so fine, his broad chest brushing against her arm; she could feel the soft hairs between his nipples, and then their hardness. She was burning inside as he ran his fingers longingly over her body. She felt his breath, then his lips, tenderly at first as they began caressing the nape of her neck, and then with an urgency, a hunger, the tenderness turned to lust. Their lips met for the first time and he pulled her body roughly onto his, quickly loosening the bodice of her gown and starting to untie the lacings of her corset…~•••~“Anna,” he whispered, a husky lilt to his voice.“Mr Boswel…” were the only words to leave her lips as they lay lost in the moment, wrapped in each other’s arms.“Stay here with me tonight.”“Sir, I’ll be tellin’ y’, I’m betrothed to another,” Anna replied, shedding tears of guilt while darting around the room, recovering her garments.Mr Boswel sighed. “An unfortunate predicament in which you find yourself, my dear,” he said, lifting himself slightly and leaning the weight of his body on his elbows, looking at her earnestly while she dressed.“Mr Boswel, yer reputation precedes ye.”“Perhaps, Anna, but they are just empty conquests.”“All but one, sir.” Anna paused, awaiting his response, but the words she longed for were not forthcoming.“This I cannot deny, but I would be grateful if you were not to mention her name. She is now but a ghost from my past.”“I must take yer leave, sir. I’ll be missed.” Fear grew in her voice. “Mr Boswel, I ain’t gonna live a life with ye as me guilty secret.” “Well, Anna, that’s all I have to offer you. At this present time you must be patient… I…”Anna interrupted him before he could continue. “Please, sir, I beg of ye, say no more. I think it best I bid ye farewell.”With that, she walked out of the room and out of his life, sure that he was watching until she closed the door.
