Necesitas un Fundamento Firme

“Pues las montañas podrán moverse y las colinas desaparecer, pero aun así mi fiel amor por ti permanecerá; mi pacto de bendición nunca será roto —dice el Señor, Te reconstruiré con joyas preciosas y haré tus cimientos de lapislázuli. Haré tus torres de rubíes relucientes, tus puertas de gemas brillantes y tus muros de piedras preciosas”. Isaías 54:10-12 (NTV)

Solo hay un lugar en la Biblia donde se usa la palabra “reinicio”. Se encuentra en Isaías 54. La nación de Israel había perdido una guerra con Babilonia, donde fueron tomados cautivos y así estuvieron 70 años.

Los Israelitas estaban bastante desanimados —no solo porque habían perdido sino porque su ciudad Santa, Jerusalén, había sido destruida.

En medio de todo esto, Dios no quería que olvidaran que Él estaba todavía con ellos. Él los amaba, y Él iba a reconstruir —o reiniciar— sus vidas.

Dios dice en Isaías 54:10-12: “Pues las montañas podrán moverse y las colinas desaparecer, pero aun así mi fiel amor por ti permanecerá; mi pacto de bendición nunca será roto —dice el Señor, Te reconstruiré con joyas preciosas y haré tus cimientos de lapislázuli. Haré tus torres de rubíes relucientes, tus puertas de gemas brillantes y tus muros de piedras preciosas” (NTV).

Dios iba a reconstruir su ciudad y sus vidas completamente. Pero el fundamento no sería de barro o roca o cemento. Dios dijo que construiría el fundamento de Israel en zafiros y rubies.

¿Por qué Dios construiría unos cimientos con piedras preciosas? Porque cada otro tipo de fundamento podría descomponerse —pero los zafiros y rubies duran por siempre. ¡Por eso son tan caros!

Dios construiría los cimientos de Israel con las cosas más preciosas en la tierra. Eso es una demostración de lo mucho que Él amaba y cuidaba de su gente.

Cuando Job pasó por tiempos difíciles, sus amigos le dijeron, “Antes de enfrentarte a Dios y extender hacia él tus manos, deja tus pecados y despójate de toda iniquidad. Sólo entonces, sin manchas de pecado que te ensucien, podrás marchar derecho hacia Dios sin temor. Sólo entonces podrás olvidar tu desdicha. Todo eso quedará en el pasado. Y no habrá nubarrones en tu vida; toda oscuridad se transformará en luminosa mañana. Obtendrás valentía porque tendrás esperanza. Procederás con calma y reposarás seguro” Job 11:13-18 (NBV).

Si necesitas hacer un gran cambio en tu vida, entonces necesitas unos cimientos fuertes. Y solo vas a encontrar esos cimientos en Dios, quién te ama y se preocupa por ti.

Deshazte del pecado y la basura en tu vida que evita que te enfoques en Dios. Entonces puedes vivir lleno de esperanza, avanzando hacia adelante con valor y brillando más que el sol.

Reflexiona sobre esto:

¿Qué significa “alinea tu corazón” con Dios, como da a entender Job 11?¿Por qué necesitas unos cimientos fuertes cuando estás haciendo un gran cambio en tu vida?¿Cómo te da valor el construir tu vida en el fundamento de Dios?

¿Has alineado tu corazón con Dios?

El primer paso para hacer las paces con Dios es aceptar a Jesús como tu Señor y Salvador. Puedes empezar con esta sencilla oración:

“Querido Dios, no quiero que mis pecados me separen de ti. Tú has prometido que, si yo creo en Jesús, me perdonarás por todo lo que he hecho mal, me mostrarás el propósito de mi vida, y me aceptarás en tu familia y me llevarás al cielo un día a vivir contigo por la eternidad”.

“Jesús, confieso mi pecado, creo que eres mi salvador. Confío en ti cuando dices que la salvación viene por la gracia, a través de la fe, y no por obras. Te pido que vengas a mi vida como mi Señor. Hoy entrego mi vida a ti”.

“Quiero vivir de la forma para la que me creaste —en paz y descanso— y usar el resto de mi vida para servirte. En el nombre de Jesús Amén”.

Seek God, Not Just His Gifts

“The LORD looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.”

Psalm 14:2 (NIV)

Millions of Christians spend their time seeking something from God and not God himself.

When you’re praying for healing and restoration, it’s okay to want a miracle. But ultimately, it should be God you seek—not a sign, prosperity, or a thousand other gifts of God. Your prayer should be, “God, I want you. I want to know you.” When you seek God, you get everything else.

God gives many promises in the Bible about those who seek him:

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face . . .  then I will hear from heaven” (2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV).

“I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me” (Proverbs 8:17 NIV).

“Anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him” (Hebrews 11:6 NIV).

“If from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul . . . For the LORD your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you” (Deuteronomy 4:29, 31 NIV).

Seek God, not just his blessing. That means, whether or not you get the answer you want, you’ll find joy in knowing God better. Even if you don’t get what you think is best for you, you’ll be satisfied with what God thinks is best for you.

When you’re going through a divorce or a miscarriage or a layoff, seek God—even more than you seek deliverance from your pain.

This is not a casual pastime. Don’t seek God in your spare moments, after you’re done with work or after scrolling social media. Make getting to know God the primary focus of your life.

“The LORD looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God” (Psalm 14:2 NIV).

It’s rare to find someone who’s earnest about seeking God. Most of us want just enough of God to bless us, but not to change us.

You don’t become an Olympic athlete in your spare time. In the same way, you don’t become a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ by giving him your leftovers. Give him your first and best, and he will keep every promise.

¿Qué te está Deteniendo?

“Por eso, nosotros, dejemos a un lado todo lo que nos estorba y el pecado que nos enreda, y corramos con fortaleza la carrera que tenemos por delante. Fijemos nuestra mirada en Jesús, pues de él procede nuestra fe y él es quien la perfecciona”. Hebreos 12:1-2 (DHH)

Cuando estás a dieta, ¿Qué es la primera cosa que haces? Muchas personas van directo al refrigerador y a la despensa, sacan toda la comida chatarra, y la sacan de la casa. Ellos quieren eliminar la basura para tener éxito en su dieta.

Cuando te das cuenta de que necesitas un reinicio en tu vida, eliminando todo lo inútil e insalubre es un paso importante.

Hebreos 12:1-2 dice “Por eso, nosotros, dejemos a un lado todo lo que nos estorba y el pecado que nos enreda, y corramos con fortaleza la carrera que tenemos por delante. Fijemos nuestra mirada en Jesús, pues de él procede nuestra fe y él es quien la perfecciona” (DHH).

A menudo nos preocupamos sobre la comida chatarra y lo que nos hace. Pero ¿qué de la comida chatarra mental?

Si quieres cambiar tu vida, tal vez necesitas desconectar tu televisión por unos meses o cancelar tu suscripción al servicio de transmisión. Para realmente cambiar tu mente, tienes que detener la basura que te está llegando por internet. Puede que necesites tomar un descanso de las presiones y comparaciones e información inútil en las redes sociales.

Tal vez necesites terminar una relación que te está hundiendo —un amigo que no está siendo un amigo verdadero o un novio o novia que te está alejando de Jesús. Ellos te están llevando en la dirección equivocada. Si estás intentando confortar a alguien y esa persona te está haciendo desanimar, ¿Quién va a ganar? Siempre es más fácil hundirse.

Puede que necesites confesar tus pecados. ¿Lo estás haciendo regularmente? Si no, entonces los pecados no confesados se están acumulando en tu vida. Eso va a afectar tu relación con Dios, lo que significa que va a afectar cada área de tu vida. Para tener un reinicio exitoso, necesitas deshacerte de cualquier cosa que se ha interpuesto entre tú y Dios. En otras palabras, necesitas deshacerte de tus pecados no confesados.

Las cosas en tu vida que son inútiles e insalubres pueden ser como una mala actitud, ciertos libros o películas o música, distracciones, hábitos o pasatiempos.

¿De qué necesitas deshacerte o dejar ir para ayudar con tu reinicio y enfocarte en Jesús mientras corres la carrera de la vida?

Reflexiona sobre esto:

Piensa en tu vida como en una carrera, donde la meta es ser más como Jesús. ¿Cuáles son las cosas que están frenando tu paso y distrayéndote de enfocar tu meta en el crecimiento espiritual?¿Cuáles son las cosas poco sanas en tu vida que encuentras más difícil de dejar? ¿Qué ha puesto Dios a tu disposición para ayudarte con esto?¿Cómo puedes convertir en un hábito el confesar tus pecados? ¿Por qué es importante hacer eso?Si todavía no has confiado en Jesús y no te has comprometido a seguirlo, ¿por qué esperar más? Don’t Stop Asking for Healing

“Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.”

John 16:23-24 (NIV)

If something in your life needs to be healed or restored, you should first humble yourself and then admit you’re not in control. You tell God you can’t do it on your own.

Then ask him for help. How do you do that? “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face . . . then I will hear from heaven” (2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV).

You’re not waiting on God. He’s been waiting on you! Whatever you want restored in your life, you need to pray about it. Have you asked God for that kind of help? He is waiting for you to ask. And he knows even better than you do what you need.

A lot of people know they should pray for healing in their mind or their body or their relationships. But they don’t know how to pray.

“Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete” (John 16:23-24 NIV).

That verse tells you how to pray for healing:

First, remember Jesus wants you to ask. God wants you to ask for anything in prayer because that’s how you’re going to learn to trust him.

Then, ask in Jesus’ name. In other words, ask on the basis of what Jesus did on the cross, where he paid for everything you will ever need. There is power in Jesus’ name because it carries the full weight of God’s grace and redemptive love. 

Finally, keep on praying until God tells you to stop. Don’t pray one time and then give up when you don’t get your answer right away. Keep praying, believing God’s timing is perfect. God is responsible for when and how he answers. You are responsible for asking.

Joy does not come from getting what you ask God for. Joy comes in asking, believing God will answer, and then thanking him, even if his answer looks different than you expected. Joy comes from trusting God to use your circumstances to make you more like him, knowing you will one day be fully restored with him in heaven.

Pray, remembering these three steps. Even in your pain, God will give you more joy in the journey of following him than you could ever imagine!

Por qué Necesitas una Comunidad para un Reinicio

“Alguien que está solo puede ser atacado y vencido, pero si son dos, se ponen de espalda con espalda y vencen; mejor todavía si son tres, porque una cuerda triple no se corta fácilmente”. Eclesiastés 4:12 (NTV)

Si necesitas que Dios haga un reinicio en tu vida, solo tienes que pedirlo. Y entonces necesitarás encontrar personas que apoyen tu reinicio.

¡No puedes hacer algo tan grande como un cambio de vida por tu cuenta! Si pudieras, lo harías —pero no puede, así que no lo harás. Eso es porque Dios nos ha diseñado para que no seamos sanados por completo hasta que involucremos a otras personas en nuestra vida.

La Biblia dice en Eclesiastés 4:10-12 “Si uno cae, el otro puede darle la mano y ayudarle; pero el que cae y está solo, ese sí que está en problemas … Alguien que está solo puede ser atacado y vencido, pero si son dos, se ponen de espalda con espalda y vencen; mejor todavía si son tres, porque una cuerda triple no se corta fácilmente” (NTV).

En otras palabras, cuando tienes apoyo de otra persona, no serás vencido fácilmente. ¡Y todo un grupo de apoyo es aún mejor!

En cualquier momento que hagas un cambio en tu vida, vas a cometer errores. No eres perfecto —ninguno lo somos. En tu deseo de vivir con un propósito y ser la persona que Dios quiere que seas, vas a caer. Necesitas personas en tu vida quienes te van a ayudar a tener un respaldo y te van a amar durante el proceso.

La comunidad es el antídoto de Dios para el desánimo. Tu grupo pequeño o grupo de amigos cristianos te ayudarán a mantener la perspectiva correcta. Ellos pueden ver lo que tú no puedes ver. Ellos pueden recordarte la verdad de Dios.

Romanos 12:5 dice, “también nosotros, siendo muchos, formamos un solo cuerpo en Cristo, y cada miembro está unido a todos los demás” (NVI). En la familia de Dios, tú me perteneces, y yo te pertenezco. Las personas en tu iglesia y la comunidad cristiana son tus hermanos y hermanas. La familia de Dios durará incluso más que tu familia biológica —¡Permanecerá para siempre!

Cuando Dios haga un reinicio en tu vida, vas a necesitar ánimo de otros creyentes durante el proceso. Encuentra a esas personas. Requerirá valor y vulnerabilidad, y si sientes que tienes pocos recursos ahora mismo, pide ayuda a Dios.  Él te ayudará a hacer todas las cosas que Él te ha llamado a hacer.

Reflexiona sobre esto:

¿Qué Evita que seas honesto con otros sobre tus problemas y necesidad de un reinicio?¿Crees que debemos amar o tratar a nuestros hermanos y hermanas cristianos diferente de lo que hacemos con los demás? ¿Por qué o por qué no?Si crees que no hay oportunidades para tener comunión en tú vida, puedes simplemente no haberlas notado porque no las estabas buscando. Ocupa algo de tiempo pidiéndole a Dios que te muestre donde Él ya ha provisto para ti en esta área.Si todavía no has confiado en Jesús y no te has comprometido a seguirlo, ¿por qué esperar más? Four Promises for the Humble

“He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.”

Psalm 25:9 (NIV)

Humility is not thinking less of yourself. It’s thinking of yourself less. When you stay focused on God and helping other people, you naturally think about yourself less.

Why would anybody choose to think of others more than they think of themselves? Because God has told us to, and he makes many promises in the Bible for those who humble themselves.

Here are four things God will do in your life when you start focusing on others more than yourself.

If you’re humble, God will guide you.
If you don’t know which way to turn—whether to get in or get out, to hold on or let go—then get humble. When you humble yourself, God will make your next step clear. You’ll make fewer mistakes and be closer to God’s will for your life. Psalm 25:9 says, “He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way” (NIV).

If you’re humble, God will bless you.
These promises are all through Scripture, like Isaiah 66:2: “I will bless those who have humble and contrite hearts” (NLT). God doesn’t bless egotistic or prideful people or those who secretly think they’re better than everybody else. He blesses those who seek him first.

If you’re humble, God will give you the power to change.
The power to change is called grace. Maybe there are things in your life you’ve tried to change, but you can’t or you won’t. You need grace! 

How do you get God’s grace and the power to change? “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble” (James 4:6 NLT). Every time you’re prideful, you’re on the opposite side of God—and you don’t want to be there. The humbler you are, the more grace God gives you.

If you’re humble, God will reduce your stress.
If you’re prideful, your stress is going to go up. Instead, listen to Jesus: “Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls” (Matthew 11:29 NLT).

When you feel like you have nothing left to give, surrender to Jesus. Spend time studying the Bible, learning how to choose gentleness and humility by Jesus’ example. Pray, and ask him for the grace to change.

Then you’ll find the rest your soul has been craving. Change your focus, and it will change your life.

Talk It Over

Think of someone you know who is both humble and confident. What do you think helps them keep a healthy balance of those two traits?
When you are humble, what are you recognizing is true about yourself and God?
What are some specific examples of when Jesus chose humility while he was on earth? How does following Jesus’ example help give you the right perspective?

Are you ready to find rest in God?

The first step toward rest is to make peace with God by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior. You can start by praying this simple prayer:

“Dear God, I don’t want my sin to separate me from you any longer. You have promised that if I believe in Jesus, you’ll forgive me for everything I’ve ever done wrong, you’ll show me the purpose of my life, and you’ll accept me into your family and bring me to heaven one day to live with you for eternity.

“Jesus, I confess my sin, and I believe you are my Savior. I trust you when you say salvation comes by grace, through faith, and not by anything I do. I ask you to come into my life as my Lord. Today, I commit my life to you.

“I want to live the way you created me to live—at peace and rested—and to use the remainder of my life to serve you. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”

Cuando Pidas un Reinicio a Dios, Sé Específico

“Examínense a ustedes mismos y pónganse a prueba para ver si están firmes en su fe”. 2 Corintios 13:5 (PDT)

Nada es transformador hasta que se vuelve específico. Puedes pedirle a Dios en cualquier momento un reinicio en tu vida. Pero no solo digas: “Dios, quiero que me cambies”. ¡Él quiere que le digas lo que estás pensando!

No puedes resolver ningún problema hasta que lo identifiques como problema —y eso significa que tienes que admitir que hay problemas en tu vida. Entre más específico seas sobre lo que quieres que Dios cambie en tu vida, más pronto sucederá.

La Biblia dice esto: “Examínense a ustedes mismos y pónganse a prueba para ver si están firmes en su fe” 2 Corintios 13:5 (PDT).

¿Dónde necesitas un reinicio? ¿Qué te gustaría que Dios cambiara en tu vida y te diera un reinicio?

¿Qué tal sobre tu conexión con Dios? Si alguna vez en tu vida te sentiste más cerca de Dios que actualmente, entonces necesitas un reinicio.

¿Qué tal sobre tu cuerpo? ¿Necesitas ayuda con tu metabolismo o tu condición física o una enfermedad crónica? ¡Puedes pedirle a Dios por eso!

¿Necesitas un reinicio en tus prioridades? ¿Has comenzado a gastar todo tu tiempo haciendo cosas que sabes que no son realmente importantes? Necesitas un reinicio en tu agenda.

¿Qué tal en tus relaciones? ¿Necesitas reiniciar una relación que se ha estado estancando o se está deteriorando? Puedes pedirle a Dios que te ayude con eso.

¿Qué tal en tu carrera? Si no tienes trabajo ahora o si tu trabajo está evitando que sigas a Cristo, entonces necesitas un reinicio.

¿Necesitas un reinicio en tu vida dura? Si estás teniendo pensamientos que sabes que son incorrectos, que no puedes controlar, o que te atemorizan, entonces necesitas que Dios te ayude a reiniciar y renovar tus pensamientos.

Tal vez necesitas un reinicio en tus hábitos, tu forma de ser padre o madre, tu agenda, tus finanzas o incluso en tus metas y sueños.

No importa en lo que necesites un reinicio en tu vida, solo pídele a Dios por ello —¡y sé específico!

¿Por qué crees que Dios quiere que identifiques lo que necesitas específicamente en tu vida incluso si Él ya sabe sobre eso?¿Cómo puede un amigo cristiano y confiable ayudarte a identificar lo que podría necesitar un reinicio en tu vida?Las áreas de tu vida que necesitan atención no suelen ser identificadas en el ajetreo diario de la vida. ¿Qué necesitas hacer para estar en un lugar donde puedes concentrarte e intencionalmente nombrar las áreas de tu vida que necesitan un reinicio?Si todavía no has confiado en Jesús y no te has comprometido a seguirlo, ¿por qué esperar más? When God Doesn’t Take the Pain Away

“Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, 'My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.' So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me . . . For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

2 Corinthians 12:8-10 (NLT)

I was born with a brain disorder that, among other things, makes public speaking painful. Essentially, my brain runs extremely hot and fast, and it causes all kinds of problems in my body. For 50 years, I’ve asked God every day to heal it. And every day he has said to me, “My grace is all you need.” God has used the most physically painful thing in my life to shape me and make me depend on him.

The things that I’ve prayed about the most, God has chosen not to remove. But, like Job, I say, “Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him” (Job 13:15 NIV).

Even the apostle Paul did not get answers to all of his prayers. In fact, he had what he called a “thorn in the flesh”—a lifelong problem that caused great pain in his life.

Paul wrote, “Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, ‘My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.’ So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me . . . For when I am weak, then I am strong” (2 Corinthians 12:8-10 NLT).

If God never says “yes” to another prayer in my life, I still owe him the rest of my life, and you do too. He has a better plan, a bigger perspective, and a greater purpose.

What have you been praying about that hasn’t happened? Maybe you want to be married, have a baby, or get that promotion at work. Maybe you’ve asked God to give you something, or maybe you’ve asked him to take away something, like a chronic illness. Maybe you’ve gone through something that makes you feel like it’s the end of the story. 

This chapter will pass, but your story is not over. Whatever you’ve been waiting on, you can trust that God is working for your good. Even when he doesn’t take away your pain, God will give you his grace and power to walk through it.

Talk It Over

What pain are you still waiting on God to take away? What have you learned about him and yourself while you’ve been waiting?
If you knew God would not answer your prayer in this life the way that you wanted, would you keep praying the same prayer? Why or why not?
Why does God promise his grace instead of promising to take away your pain?

God wants you in his forever family

The Bible says all people fall short of God’s perfect standard. Yet God still loves you—even though you sin and you’re flawed. In fact, God loves you so much that he sent his Son, Jesus, to cleanse you from your sins and to bring you into the family of God.

If you’re ready to join God’s family, then pray this prayer: “Dear God, I know that when I die I’m going to give an account of my life to you directly. I confess I have ignored you. I know I have sinned against you, and I have lived by my plan, not yours. I want that to change, starting right now. I want to turn away from my sins toward you.

“Thank you for sending Jesus to die for all that I’ve done wrong so I don’t have to pay the penalty. I know I don’t deserve your forgiveness. I know that only your grace can save me, Lord.

“Jesus, thank you for loving me so much that you took all my guilt on yourself. You made me acceptable for heaven, and I humbly ask you to save me. I ask you to save me from the sins and the habits that are messing up my life right now. I believe in you, Jesus. And I believe that you will keep your promise to save me instantly and certainly and completely and eternally. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”

El Primer Paso para un Reinicio

“Pero olvida todo eso; Pues estoy a punto de hacer algo nuevo. ¡Mira, ya he comenzado! ¿No lo ves?”. Isaías 43:18-19 (NTV)

Eres un producto de tu pasado. Has sido moldeado por las cosas buenas y malas en tu vida. Pero no eres un prisionero de tu pasado —¡puedes ser libre!

De eso se trata el cristianismo. A través de Jesucristo, puedes nacer de nuevo y comenzar una nueva vida. Jesús hace posible para ti el presionar el botón de reinicio y tener una segunda oportunidad.

Esto es lo que Dios dice sobre tu pasado: “Pero olvida todo eso; Pues estoy a punto de hacer algo nuevo. ¡Mira, ya he comenzado! ¿No lo ves?” Isaías 43:18-19 (NTV).

Dios no quiere que mires constantemente al pasado. Si siempre estás viendo tu espejo retrovisor, ¡entonces vas a chocar! La única manera en que puedes avanzar es enfocarte en el presente y mirar hacia el futuro.

El resto de tu vida está en el futuro, no en el pasado. Tu pasado es pasado; ya pasó. No puedes cambiarlo, no te aferres a eso. En su lugar, comienza a pedirle a Dios que haga algo nuevo en ti.

Tal vez te sientas como que nada nuevo está sucediendo en tu vida justo ahora. ¿Sabes por qué? Porque no estás pidiéndolo. Santiago 4:2 dice “no tienen lo que desean porque no se lo piden a Dios” (NTV). Mira de nuevo lo que dice: No lo tienes porque no lo has pedido.

Si nunca le pides a Dios que reinicie tu vida, entonces lo que necesitas decir es: “Dios, necesito un inicio fresco. Lo he arruinado. He cometido errores, y necesito que reinicies mi vida”.

Este es el primer paso para el reinicio. ¡Sólo tiene que pedírselo a Dios!

Todos necesitamos un reinicio en algún punto —porque la vida es difícil, y todos cometemos errores. ¿Estás listo para que Dios haga algo nuevo en tu vida? Pídele un reinicio, y Él te dará energía renovada, un espíritu renovado, una esperanza renovada, y un corazón renovado.

Reflexiona sobre esto:

¿Cuál es un hábito saludable que puedes desarrollar y que te ayudará a enfocarte en el futuro en lugar del pasado?¿Cuántas veces durante el curso de tu vida piensas que le puedes pedir a Dios un reinicio?¿Cuáles son algunas señales que pueden indicar que es tiempo para un reinicio en tu vida?

 

No importa lo que has hecho o en dónde has estado, Tienes un lugar listo en la familia eterna de Dios y está esperando por ti. La invitación está abierta. Solo cree y recibe.

Confía en el carácter de Dios y en la gracia que te extiende. Confiesa tus pecados y pídele a Dios que te perdone. Aprópiate la promesa de Jesús, que la salvación es gratuita y disponible para todos los que vuelven de sus pecados y están dispuestos a seguirlo como su Señor y Salvador. Humildemente pídele a Dios te que acepte en su familia eterna.

¿Estás listo? Aquí está una oración con la que puedes comenzar. “Querido Dios, sé que cuando muera, voy a darte cuenta de mi vida. Sé que he pecado contra ti, y he vivido por mi cuenta y no dependiendo de ti. Quiero que eso cambie, comenzando justo ahora. Quiero volver de mis pecados hacia ti”.

“Gracias por enviar a Jesús a morir por todo lo que he hecho mal para que no tenga que pagar el castigo. Sé que no merezco tu perdón. Sé que solo tu gracia puede salvarme, Señor. Nunca seré lo suficientemente bueno para ser perfecto”.

“Jesús, gracias por amarme tanto que tomaste toda mi culpa sobre ti. Me hiciste aceptable para el cielo, y humildemente te pido que me salves. Creo en ti, Jesús. Y creo que mantendrás tu promesa de salvarme instantánea, segura, completa y eternamente. En el nombre de Jesús, amén”.

Three Things to Pray in Your Pain

“‘Abba, Father,’ he cried out, ‘everything is possible for you. Please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.'”

Mark 14:36 (NLT)

The night before he went to the cross, Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane. He knew he was going to face torture, suffering, and death on the cross the next day. He didn’t want to go through that pain any more than you or I would want to.

“He went on a little further and fell to the ground. He prayed that, if it were possible, the awful hour awaiting him might pass him by” (Mark 14:35 NLT).

Jesus wanted to know if there was some other way that God could accomplish his will for the salvation of the world. So he prayed and asked his Father to make a way for him. In doing that, Jesus showed us that it’s okay to tell God that you don’t want to go through your suffering.

Mark 14:36 says, “‘Abba, Father,’ he cried out, ‘everything is possible for you. Please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine’” (NLT).

In this prayer, Jesus models the three things to pray when you’re in pain:

Affirm God’s power. Tell God, “Father, I know you can do anything! All things are possible for you. I know you could take care of this situation. I know you could keep me out of this suffering. I know you could take away the pain instantly. God, you’re all-powerful.”

Ask with passion. Then say to God, “Father, please give me what I ask! Take away this suffering and pain. You see my hurt, and I know you care. I know you are with me. I know you will answer my prayer. Please don’t let this pain be my burden any longer.”

Accept God’s plan. Finally, tell him, “God, I don’t want to go through this suffering. But what I want most is your will. More than anything, I want your plan, your purpose, and your perspective. Please do your will in my life, even if it means I have to bear this pain. I know you will be with me and help me and make me more like you.

This is not an easy prayer, especially when you’re in pain. But it will always be the prayer God honors and answers.
