Dios Te Conoce; ¿Es Eso Inquietante o Reconfortante?

“Porque yo sé muy bien los planes que tengo para ustedes —afirma el Señor—, planes de bienestar y no de calamidad, a fin de darles un futuro y una esperanza”. Jeremías 29:11 (NVI)

Aceptar la verdad de que Dios sabe todo en tu vida puede ser muy perturbador o muy reconfortante. Depende de tu relación con Él y de si estás tratando de engañarlo.

¿Has estado actuando como si Dios desconociera por completo tu vida en alguna de estas cinco áreas?

Dios conoce tus fallas y faltas, pero todavía te ama incondicionalmente.Dios conoce tus sentimientos y frustraciones, y Él ve tu dolor más que cualquier otra persona.Dios conoce tu futuro, por lo que Él puede decir lo que necesitas saber.Dios conoce tus miedos, y quiere que le entregues tus preocupaciones a Él.Dios conoce tu fidelidad porque ve todo lo bueno que haces.

El hecho de que Dios sabe todo es un gran motivador para vivir una vida piadosa. Me doy cuenta de que nada en mi vida se hace en secreto, nada de lo que yo enfrente obstaculizará su capacidad de ayudarme, nada de lo que viene lo tomará por sorpresa, nada que yo tema será demasiado grande para su fuerza, y nada de lo que hago en su nombre se hace en vano.

Don’t Leave God Waiting

“So the LORD must wait for you to come to him so he can show you his love and compassion.”

Isaiah 30:18 (NLT)

God longs to be close to you.

If you’re away from somebody you love for a long time, you can’t wait to talk to them. If you have not been close to God, he can’t wait for you to talk to him—because he loves you so much. And he’s always available! He’s got a 24/7 drop-in system. He’s never offline. You can talk to him any moment of the day.

Did you know that every day you go without prayer and spending time with God and his Word, God is waiting for you? Isaiah 30:18 says it like this: “So the LORD must wait for you to come to him so he can show you his love and compassion” (NLT). You were made to know God and have a relationship with him. God is waiting for you—not so he can condemn you but so he can show you his love and compassion. It’s the whole reason you exist!

Some parents know the unique pain of a child who can’t talk for a physical or emotional reason. When you love them but can’t have a conversation with them, that’s a heartache. Other parents have a child who can talk but refuses to talk with them. They’ve been shut out of their child’s life. When you long for a phone call that may never come, that’s a heartache too.

That’s the way God feels about you when you don’t talk to him. Do you go days or weeks without sharing your heart, what you’re feeling, and what you need—your doubts and fears, your highs and lows? When you go that long without talking to him, God is thinking, “I created you. I love you. I want a relationship with you. Why do you turn away from me?”

Don’t miss out on talking to the God who created you. You weren’t put on this planet to mark things off your to-do list. You were put on this planet to be loved by God and to learn to love him back. You were chosen to be his child. You were formed for his family. You were created for companionship.

God says, “I want you to show love, not offer sacrifices. I want you to know me more than I want burnt offerings” (Hosea 6:6 NLT).

God is waiting for you to talk to him. Don’t make him wait any longer!

Dios Está Pendiente de Ti y de Tus Necesidades

“No nos cansemos de hacer el bien, porque a su debido tiempo cosecharemos si no nos damos por vencidos”. Gálatas 6:9 (NVI)

Dios todo Omnisciente. Eso significa que Él sabe todo, incluyendo todo acerca de ti y de tu vida. Dios conoce sobre tus fallas y equivocaciones, tus sentimientos y frustraciones —y tu futuro.

Dios también conoce tus miedos. Él conoce todo lo que te estresa. Por ejemplo, muchos de nosotros actualmente estamos preocupados sobre la economía, y por lo tanto tenemos temores financieros.

Y entonces actuamos como si Dios no estuviera al pendiente de nuestras cuentas. “¿No lo ves Dios? ¡Me estoy hundiendo! ¡No lo voy a lograr!”. Estamos intentando alcanzar al fin de mes. Tenemos tensión y molestia, y nos preocupamos. Pero la preocupación es el resultado de no entender la Omnisciencia de Dios.

La verdad es, Dios está al tanto de todas tus necesidades. La oración nunca se trata de dar información a Dios. Él ya sabe lo que está sucediendo; ya sabe todo sobre ti. La Biblia dice, “su Padre sabe lo que ustedes necesitan antes de que se lo pidan” Mateo 6:8 (NVI). Él está al tanto de cada necesidad que tienes: financiera, espiritual, física, social y emocional.

Finalmente, Dios conoce tu fidelidad. Él ve todo lo que haces que es bueno y correcto. Cada vez que eliges no pecar, cada vez que resistes la tentación, cada vez que estás firme por causa de la verdad de Dios, él ve tu fidelidad.

 La Biblia dice que cada buena acción será recompensada, no importa que tan insignificante sea sin importar si alguien más en la tierra lo vio. Cada vez que animaste a otras personas, cada vez que levantaste algo en la oficina cuando no era tu trabajo, cada vez que acomodaste sillas en la iglesia, cada vez que rechazaste el chisme —Dios lo ve todo, no importa qué tan pequeño sea, de acuerdo con Mateo 10:40-42.

Podrás decir, “He estado intentando hacer lo correcto en mi matrimonio. No veo ningún resultado”. “He estado intentando ser el tipo correcto de persona y responder correctamente con mis hijos (o hacia mis padres)”. “He estado intentando hacer lo correcto en el trabajo (o la escuela). Y no sé si está sirviendo de algo. No veo que haga la diferencia en la vida de nadie”.

Dios dice, “Lo veo, y no importa quién más lo vea”. Todo lo bueno que haces, nunca será en vano: “No nos cansemos de hacer el bien, porque a su debido tiempo cosecharemos si no nos damos por vencidos” Gálatas 6:9 (NVI).

¡No te desanimes! Sigue haciendo lo bueno y confiando que Dios proveerá.

Reflexiona sobre esto:

¿Dónde puedes encontrar ánimo cuando estás desanimado en tus relaciones y en el ministerio?¿Otros dirán que confías en Dios para que te provea? ¿Qué evidencia señalarán?¿Cómo te ha cambiado la oración?

Te invito a hacer esta oración hoy:

“Señor mi Dios, no quiero pasar otro día en mi vida sin ti, quiero que estés a cargo de cada parte de mi corazón. Humildemente admito que necesito ayuda. Te pido que renueves mi mente. Ayúdame a pensar de la forma en la que quieres que piense. Quiero llenar mi vida con amor. Quiero llenar mi vida contigo. Ayúdame a dar y obtener ayuda en un grupo pequeño. Ayúdame a deleitarme en honrar a las personas, a enfocarme en dar mi vida para que tu tengas cuidado de mis necesidades. Quiero nutrir mi entusiasmo al estar en ti. Ayúdame a estar gozoso en la esperanza, paciente en la aflicción y constante en la oración. Quiero entregarte mi vida para que seas mi Señor y Salvador. Todo esto te lo pido en el nombre de Cristo Jesús. Amén”.

Keep Your Prayers Simple

“And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words . . . for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.”

Matthew 6:7-8 (NIV)

Longer is not stronger when it comes to prayer.

God is much more interested in humble and authentic prayers than a long-winded sermon in prayer. Just get to the point!

Jesus had a lot to say in the Sermon on the Mount about praying simply, without trying to sound super spiritual:

“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words . . . for your Father knows what you need before you ask him” (Matthew 6:5-8 NIV).

You don’t have to convince God of what you need. He already knows! Just come to him as simply, honestly, and humbly as you can, and talk about what you need. 

Don’t use prayer to show off. I’m sure you’ve seen or heard people try to impress others through their prayers. But they don’t get any extra credit for sounding impressive or stretching out a

prayer. That’s not what God wants to hear. He wants a conversation with you, not just words directed at him.

Instead, be sincere when you pray. Don’t spout off clichés. Don’t add in fillers because you’re afraid your prayers are too short. 

Talk to God like you would to a loved one or a good friend. As you walk out your front door in the morning, you might say, “God, it’s a nice day. Thanks for making it.” Then as you go throughout your day, you can keep that conversation open, having short conversations with God about what you’re doing, what you need help with, or what you’re grateful for.

Adding words to your prayer doesn’t make it any stronger. Keep it simple, with a sincere heart and sure faith.

Nada Sorprende a Dios

“Me viste antes de que naciera. Cada día de mi vida estaba registrado en tu libro.

 Dios conoce todo sobre tus errores, fallas, sentimientos, frustraciones y Él también conoce lo que te depara el mañana. Él conoce tu futuro.

La Biblia dice que aun antes de que nacieras, Dios sabía todo tu futuro: “Me viste antes de que naciera. Cada día de mi vida estaba registrado en tu libro. Cada momento fue diseñado antes de que un solo día pasara” Salmo 139:16 (NTV).

Desde su perspectiva, Dios puede ver el pasado, el presente y el futuro, todo al mismo tiempo. Eso nos debe dar gran confianza en Dios. Es alentador para mí que Él sepa todo lo que va a pasar en mi vida. Él no sólo conoce el futuro, él también estará ahí en el futuro. Él no solo camina contigo cada día, Él también caminará en nuestro futuro.

Dios ya está preparado para todo lo que vas a enfrentar mañana, la siguiente semana, y el siguiente mes. Lo que nos pueda sorprender sobre el futuro, a Dios no le sorprenderá. Nada lo tomará por sorpresa, ni lo hará decir: “¿En serio?”.

El siguiente mes, o el siguiente año, podrás enfrentar una crisis, y podrás preguntar: “¿Qué está sucediendo? ¿Dónde está Dios?” Dios ha estado ahí siempre, preparado. Él ya está en tu futuro, y está preparado para todo.

Si Dios conoce todos mis mañanas hoy, entonces debo pedirle un consejo. Él conoce lo que va a suceder: “pídeme y te daré a conocer secretos sorprendentes que no conoces acerca de lo que está por venir” Jeremías 33:3 (NTV).

Las cosas que no sabes, Dios te las puede decir. Pero Él no va a diseñar tu vida completa de una sola vez, diciéndote todo lo que va a suceder. Si lo hiciera, estarías desanimado u orgulloso –o ambos. En lugar de eso, Él nos da una probadita cada vez.

Esto es lo que yo te sugiero: cuando te levantes en la mañana, revisa tu agenda con el Señor. Ora, “Padre, tú ya conoces este día, que estoy por experimentar. Tú sabes de antemano cada interrupción que voy a enfrentar, cada crisis, cada llanta ponchada, cada avión perdido, cada herida, aun cuando voy a derramar mi café. Ya lo has visto todo. ¿Serías tan amable de darme la fortaleza que necesito para el día de hoy?”.

Dios conoce exactamente lo que necesitas, porque Él ya ha visto lo que vas a enfrentar. Y Él proveerá.

¿Por qué pueden algunas personas desanimarse por el hecho de darse cuenta que Dios puede ver el pasado, el presente y el futuro al mismo tiempo?¿Qué está haciendo Dios en tu vida justo ahora que pueda estar preparándote para lo que enfrentarás en el futuro?¿Por qué algunas personas consideran usar toda clase de métodos para conocer el futuro?Si todavía no has confiado en Jesús y no te has comprometido a seguirlo, ¿por qué esperar más? Talk to God about Your Interests

“The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him.”

Psalm 103:13 (NLT)

God loves for you to talk to him about anything. Whatever you’re interested in, God is interested in it too. He wants you to talk to him about your interests for three reasons.

God loves you. You exist because God wants to love you. It’s the reason you’re alive! When you love someone, you’re interested in what they’re interested in. There are many things I’ve become interested in because my wife is interested in them—because I love her. God feels the same way about you, but a thousand times more.

God gave you those interests. You know all those hobbies and sports and all the things you like to do? You got those desires from your Creator. He wired you with them, which means he knows what you’re interested in more than you do. He loves you, and he delights to see you enjoy the things he made you to love.

God enjoys talking with his children. He is your Father. Parents are interested in what their kids are interested in. Are you ever bored while you’re praying? If you are, that’s because you’re talking about stuff that you think you should talk about, not what you’re actually interested in. God is a good Father, and he’s interested in what you are interested in.

The Bible says it like this: “The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him” (Psalm 103:13 NLT).

If you’re a parent, did you wait until your kids could talk in order to start loving them? Of course not. You loved them deeply, even before they were born or said a word. Whether you ever talk to God in prayer or not, he loves you deeply, just like a parent loves a child even before they can talk.

But as children begin to grow, parents desire to have a conversation with them. You want to know what they’re thinking and feeling and share their burdens and joys. You want to delight in their interests and hear their perspective.

That’s the kind of relationship God wants to have with you. He loves you, whether or not you communicate with him. But he longs for the day that you grow up and talk to him about the stuff that’s important to you.

Dios lo Sabe Todo, Y esas son Buenas Noticias

“No hay nada en toda la creación que esté oculto a Dios. Todo está desnudo y expuesto ante sus ojos; y es a él a quien rendimos cuentas”. Hebreos 4:13 (NTV)

¿Alguna vez te has levantado para ir al refrigerador a media noche incluso si estabas a dieta? Yo he estado ahí, con la puerta del refrigerador abierta, pensando, “Sólo una probadita…”

Tenemos un debate personal: “Adelante. No hará daño solo por esta vez”, “¡No, estoy a dieta!”.

En momentos como este es cuando satanás nos alimenta con la diabólica excusa: “Nadie se va a enterar”.

Puede que no estés frente al refrigerador. Puedes estar sentado en el trabajo o haciendo tu declaración de impuestos o paseando por algún lugar donde tus padres no quieren que estés. Pero aun así continuas y haces algo cuestionable, porque crees la mentira de que “nadie jamás se va a enterar”.

¡Pero Dios ya lo sabe!

Hebreos 4:13 “No hay nada en toda la creación que esté oculto a Dios. Todo está desnudo y expuesto ante sus ojos; y es a él a quien rendimos cuentas” (NTV). Dios nunca será sorprendido. ¡Él lo sabe todo!

El hecho que Dios conoce todo sobre ti es una buena noticia, no mala. Aquí el por qué:

Dios conoce tus errores y fallas. Encuentro incómodo darme cuenta de que no tengo secretos ante Dios, porque hay cosas sobre mí que preferiría que Dios no conociera. Pero la Biblia dice, “Dios mío, tú sabes las locuras que he cometido, no puedo esconderte mis pecados” Salmo 69:5 (PDT).

No puedes engañar a Dios cuando mantienes oculto tu pecado (ver 1 Juan 1:8). Él no se sorprende con tus pecados, y cuando los admites, nunca cambiará sus sentimientos hacia ti. Él te ama incondicionalmente, y eso significa que no puedes engañarlo. No tienes que pretender.

Dios conoce tus sentimientos y frustraciones. Puedes pensar, “Nadie sabe por lo que estoy pasando. Nadie siente el dolor que estoy experimentando”. Dios lo sabe. Él está viendo la crisis en tu alma. Ninguna herida pasa desapercibida ante Dios. El Salmo 56:8 dice, “Tú has visto mi sufrimiento, has recogido mis lágrimas” (PDT).

Debido a que Dios conoce tus frustraciones y desesperación, puedes entregarle esos sentimientos a Él: “Confíen a Dios todas sus preocupaciones, porque él cuida de ustedes” 1 Pedro 5:7 (PDT). Deposítalos en Dios permanentemente, de una vez por todas. No los guardes.

Si Dios ya conoce tus fallas y errores, ¿Por qué es importante confesarle tus pecados?¿Qué significa dejar tus preocupaciones con Dios? ¿Qué preocupaciones necesitas entregarle hoy?Saber que Dios te ama incondicionalmente, ¿Cómo cambia la forma en la que vives?Si todavía no has confiado en Jesús y no te has comprometido a seguirlo, ¿por qué esperar más? To Grow Spiritually, You Need Community

“I want us to help each other with the faith we have. Your faith will help me, and my faith will help you.”

Romans 1:12 (NCV)

You cannot grow to spiritual maturity by yourself. You can try it, but you’re going to be lonely, weak, and spiritually stunted. But the more you involve other people in your life who are strong in the Lord, the more you will grow in spiritual maturity.

Spiritual growth is relational. We’re better together!

The Bible says, “I want us to help each other with the faith we have. Your faith will help me, and my faith will help you” (Romans 1:12 NCV). 

There are 56 “one another” commands in the Bible that you cannot obey unless you’re in a small group. Love one another. Care for one another. Help one another. Encourage one another. Pray for one another. Share with one another.

God wired you so that you have to be connected in his family in order to grow.

The number one thing God wants you to learn in life is how to love him and other people. The very reason you might not want to be in a small group is the very reason you need to be in a small group. You might think, “But there might be some people who disagree with me or people who are irritable.” You need those people! You need people in your life who think differently from you, who challenge your self-centeredness, and who teach you to be generous and think of others.

Some people never grow up. They’re stuck thinking it’s all about “me”—“my” schedule, needs, problems, and priorities. Often, those are the people who refuse to open themselves up to being in community. But if the whole point of life is to learn to love, then you’ve got to push yourself out of your comfort zone and into a group of people who will support and encourage you to fulfill your purpose.

We only grow in community.

“Let us be concerned for one another, to help one another to show love and to do good. Let us not give up the habit of meeting together, as some are doing. Instead, let us encourage one another all the more” (Hebrews 10:24-25 GNT).

Talk It Over

Has something been keeping you from being part of a small group? How does this reveal your need for authentic, biblical community?
If it’s not possible for you to join a small group, what are some other ways you can be intentional about creating community with other Christians to help you grow?
How did Jesus model the importance of living in community with God’s family?

God wants you in his forever family.

No matter what you’ve done or where you’ve been, you’ve got a place in God’s forever family ready and waiting for you. The invitation is wide open. Just believe and receive.

Trust in God’s character and the grace he extends. Confess your sins and ask God to forgive you. Claim the promise of Jesus, that salvation is free and open to anyone who turns from their sins and agrees to follow him as their Lord and Savior. Humbly ask God to accept you into his forever family.

Are you ready? Start with this simple prayer: “Dear God, I know when I die, I’m going to give an account of my life to you. I know I have sinned against you, and I have lived by my plan, not yours. I want that to change, starting right now. I want to turn away from my sins and toward you.

“Thank you for sending Jesus to die for all that I’ve done wrong so that I don’t have to pay the penalty. I know I don’t deserve your forgiveness. I know only your grace can save me, Lord. I could never be good enough to get into a perfect place.

“Jesus, thank you for loving me so much that you took all my guilt on yourself. You made me acceptable for heaven, and I humbly ask you to save me. I believe in you, Jesus. And I believe you will keep your promise to save me instantly, certainly, completely, and eternally. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”

Dios Dice Que Eres Perdonado

“Pero yo, que soy tu Dios, borraré todos tus pecados y no me acordaré más de todas tus rebeldías”. Isaías 43:25 (TLA)

 Algunos de nosotros, incluso entre los que somos creyentes, pensamos que cuando estamos teniendo problemas, Dios está ajustando cuentas con nosotros, que solo está intentado que regresemos.

Es como el hombre que está conduciendo hacia un lago en una montaña, y en el camino comienza a nevar, así que tiene que poner cadenas en sus llantas. Mientras está haciendo esto, otro carro llega y golpea su auto. Y él observa con horror que su auto cae por un barranco.

Continúa subiendo la montaña a pie, con la nieve y la lluvia, y se está enfermando por el frio. Entonces, mientras pasa la última curva, ve que su cabaña está incendiada. Levanta sus manos al cielo y pregunta: “¿Por qué a mí, Dios?” Se abren los cielos, y una voz dice, “Porque algunas veces me haces enojar”.

Tal vez has pensado que esa es la forma en la que Dios siente acerca de ti. Tal vez piensas que cuando tienes un problema, significa que Dios está molesto contigo. Pero así no es Dios. Él está a tu favor, no en tu contra. Si, como ese hombre en la montaña con nieve, estás experimentando circunstancias difíciles, no es porque Dios esté molesto contigo. Ese no es un reflejo del corazón de Dios hacia ti. De hecho, la Biblia dice que “hemos puesto nuestra confianza en su amor” 1 Juan 4:16 (NTV).

Dios no guarda resentimiento. Esa no es su naturaleza. Él dice, “Pero yo, que soy tu Dios, borraré todos tus pecados y no me acordaré más de todas tus rebeldías” Isaías 43:25 (TLA). Si has recibido a Jesús como tu salvador, entonces no hay condenación porque estás en Cristo (ver Romanos 8:1). Tomemos esa verdad y reemplacemos las viejas mentiras.

¿Por qué crees que cosas difíciles o malas, algunas veces suceden a los cristianos?¿Qué necesitas dejar en el pasado a causa de que Dios te ha perdonado y redimido?¿Cómo crees que Dios quiere que respondas a la adversidad?Si todavía no has confiado en Jesús y no te has comprometido a seguirlo, ¿por qué esperar más? Your Habits Determine Your Spiritual Growth

“Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.”

1 Corinthians 9:25 (NIV)

Many people consider Tom Brady to be the greatest quarterback ever to have played in the National Football League. In 2021, he won his seventh championship ring as the oldest player to appear in a Super Bowl. How did he get to be so good?

There’s a whole list of things Brady did to stay in peak performance mentally, physically, and emotionally, including drinking 20 ounces of water as soon as he woke up every morning. He developed healthy habits that paid off for him.

You grow when you develop good habits. This applies to every area of your life, including your spiritual growth. When you build good habits, you’ll have good character. If you have good character, you’ll have a great destiny. Your character is the sum total of your habits.

The Bible says, “Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them” (John 13:17 NIV).

You don’t get God’s blessing for knowing the right thing to do. You get God’s blessing for doing the right thing and making it a habit in your life. How do you build habits? Through repetition and practice. Study after study shows you have to do something—whether it’s exercise, diet, or a spiritual habit—every day for six weeks before it becomes a habit.

Think about developing the habit of a daily Bible study. If you do a few days and then skip a day, and then do a few more days and then skip another day, it will be hard to develop a habit. But when you can discipline yourself to study your Bible every day, eventually it will become second nature; it will become a habit.

When you take the time to develop a good habit, you can then use it for the rest of your life to help you grow and be strong. Successful people are just normal people who decide to develop good habits that stay with them for the rest of their lives. You determine your habits, and your habits determine you.

The Bible says it like this: “Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever” (1 Corinthians 9:25 NIV).

The good habits you build in your spiritual life are going to pay off forever in eternity.
