¿Qué significa “amar la misericordia”?¿Cómo has visto a Dios bendecirte cuando has mostrado misericordia a alguien incluso cuando era una decisión difícil?Piensa en una situación reciente en la que podrías haber mostrado misericordia a alguien, ¿cómo crees que podría haber cambiado el resultado de la situación?Si todavía no has confiado en Jesús y no te has comprometido a seguirlo, ¿por qué esperar más? Si estás listo para cruzar esa línea y tomar la decisión de creer en Jesucristo y seguirlo; haz esta oración.Más recursos en español y en otros idiomas incluyendo ASL — Lenguaje de Signos Americano RickWarren.org.Síguenos en Instagram & Facebook y comparte Esperanza Diaria con tus amigos y familiares.Recibe durante un mes un versículo de inspiración diario por WhatsAppNota: Desafortunadamente tenemos restricciones para enviar mensajes por WhatsApp a CUBA. .fb-background-color { background: #ffffff !important; } .fb_iframe_widget_fluid_desktop iframe { width: 100% !important; }

God Is the Only Source for Your Finances

“Yes, God made all things, and everything continues through him and for him. To him be the glory forever! Amen.”
Romans 11:36 (NCV)
The Bible teaches that God is the source of our finances. He is the one who provides for our needs.
What does this mean? It means that instead of looking to your employer or your savings account for financial security, look to God. Don’t look to anyone or anything other than God to provide for your needs.
Let me illustrate it this way: When you turn on the water, the water doesn’t actually come from the faucet. It comes through the faucet. The water actually comes from a reservoir or a well, and the way you happen to receive it is through the faucet.
In the same way, the income that God wants to give you may come through a job or through something or someone else.
But the source is always God.
Romans 11:36 says, “Yes, God made all things, and everything continues through him and for him. To him be the glory forever! Amen.” (NCV)
You don’t need to worry about which faucet God uses to supply your needs. God can turn off one faucet, just as easily as he can turn on another. If you lose one job, God can give you another. Your job or bank account isn’t your source. God alone is your source.
It’s not your responsibility to figure out how God’s going to provide. Your responsibility is to ask.
The Bible says in James 4:2, “You do not have because you do not ask God” (NIV).
God wants you to worry less and ask more. Worry less and ask more. Instead of worrying, pray about everything.
Worry is a warning light. It reveals the places where you aren’t trusting God. When you start to worry, stop yourself and start talking to God instead. Ask him to reveal to why you may not be trusting him and ask him for help to trust him more.
If God has already solved your biggest problem, everything else is small by comparison. If God loved you enough to send Jesus to die for your sins, don’t you think he loves you enough to help you with your finances?
There’s no area of your life that God is not interested in. He already knows what you need, but he still wants you to ask him for it. Instead of worrying, pray about everything.
Proverbs 16:3 says, “Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans” (NIV). Trust God as your source and supply. True blessing comes from trusting him fully.

How have you seen God provide for you in the past? What “faucets” did he use?
Why does worry reveal a lack of trust in God?
In what area do you need God to help you stop worrying and start trusting him more?

A Note from Pastor Rick

Dear Friend,
Life is not about striving and getting. It’s about serving and giving.
Sooner or later, each one of us will realize: Life is not about us. Everything we have, including our next breath, is because of God’s generosity. God wants us to be like him—and he gave himself away in love.
The Bible says, “If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will save it” (Mark 8:35 NLT).
Most people want to leave a legacy when they die, to leave something behind that outlasts them. The only way to create a lasting legacy is through serving and giving in love. You’re doing those things every time you accept people unconditionally, encourage people continually, and assist people eagerly.
Jesus is the ultimate example of creating a lasting legacy. He built it by living a life of service and generosity—and you do the same when you support the mission of Daily Hope.
It’s exciting that we get to build a lasting legacy together through Daily Hope as we hold out the Good News to a world in need, and I’m so grateful you’re on this mission with me!

God Uses Every Part of Your Story for Good

Sometimes God works in big, flashy ways, like parting the Red Sea, multiplying the fish and loaves, or raising Lazarus from the dead.
But sometimes God works behind the scenes, through faithful followers who use their gifts for his purposes. That’s what happens in the book of Esther:
God uses normal people in normal situations, making normal decisions that change the destiny of the world.
Esther was an ordinary Hebrew woman who used both her gifts and her liabilities to save the nation of Israel. She became the wife of King Xerxes and thwarted a plot to wipe out the Hebrew people. It took a lot of bravery on her part, but she embraced her destiny and did the work God called her to do.
On the surface, Esther looked like an unlikely hero. She was poor and marginalized, an orphan, and a believer in God—in a culture where none of those things were favored.
But God also gave Esther gifts. She was smart, which helped her navigate the political intrigue of the palace. She was beautiful, making her stand out to the king. And she was winsome, with a personality that helped her find favor with many different people.
God loves to work through ordinary people. Esther’s gifts combined with her liabilities made her exactly the kind of person God uses to make a difference for his kingdom.
What looks like a recipe for disaster is often the start of God’s plan. Everything in your life—even the bad parts or the parts you don’t understand—has a purpose. Your gifts and your liabilities uniquely equip you for what God has planned for you to do. You may not save a nation, as Esther did. But you could help save a soul. You may not challenge a king. But you could stand up for what’s right. You may not protect an entire people group. But you could protect and encourage the faith of the young people God has put in your life.
All you need to do is remain faithful.
The Bible teaches, “Each one, as a good manager of God’s different gifts, must use for the good of others the special gift he has received from God” (1 Peter 4:10 GNT). “Each one”—that means everyone is included. There is no one without talent. There is no one God hasn’t gifted.
Take an inventory of your life. What gifts has God given you? What hard things have you experienced? None of it is insignificant. Like he did for Esther, God can use every single detail of your life for good.

Dios Nos Cuida

¿Cuáles son algunas maneras en que ves que el amor inquebrantable de Dios te sigue?La Biblia enseña que no importa cuán malo, malo o difícil parezca algo, Dios puede resolverlo para bien (ver Romanos 8:28). ¿Cómo afecta esa verdad en tu vida?¿Cómo has visto a Dios usar la dificultad, el dilema, la derrota o el desastre en tu vida, o la vida de otro creyente, para su propósito? .fb-background-color { background: #ffffff !important; } .fb_iframe_widget_fluid_desktop iframe { width: 100% !important; }

Are You Ready to Make a Commitment?

“Though it is against the law, I will go in to see the king. If I must die, I must die.”
Esther 4:16 (NLT)
To discover your destiny and live out God’s calling on your life, you must make a faith commitment to him.
The Bible talks a lot about the importance of faith:
“Without faith it is impossible to please God” (Hebrews 11:6 NIV).
“According to your faith let it be done to you” (Matthew 9:29 NIV).
“The righteous will live by their faithfulness to God” (Habakkuk 2:4 NLT).
“Anything is possible for someone who has faith!” (Mark 9:23 CEV).
Esther was a Jewish queen married to a pagan king, who didn’t know she was a Jew. But the time came when she had to ask the king to rescind a decree that would have wiped out the Jewish nation. She must have been incredibly scared to go to the king; it was a major risk to admit she was a Jew and to ask the king to change his decree. But she knew she had been placed in the position of queen for a reason. And she wanted to be faithful to God.
In Esther 4:16, she makes a faith commitment to do the thing she’s most afraid of. She says, “Though it is against the law, I will go in to see the king. If I must die, I must die” (NLT). Esther committed to following God and doing the right thing, even if it meant she would die.
You’re not ready to truly live until you have qualified and clarified in your heart what you’re willing to die for. Living a life of purpose will require you to decide between working for good things and working for the most important thing. Making a faith commitment means declaring what you’re willing to give your time, your talent, your treasure, and your entire life to.
Take some time to look at every area of your life and ask God what faith commitments he wants you to make. Tell him that you’re ready to fulfill his destiny for your life.
Once you really understand your destiny, it will grab you. You’ll go after it with total abandonment. It may not mean you have to give up your life, but it will mean you surrender, you sacrifice—you give your whole heart.
And it will be the greatest commitment you’ll ever make.

Why is it important to clarify what you’re willing to die for? If you’ve never thought about that question, start considering it today.
What “good things” have you committed your life to instead of the “most important thing”—God’s purpose for you?
What faith commitment do you think God might want you to make today?

Tu vara y tu cayado me protegen y me confortan”. Salmo 23:4 (NTV)
¿Qué cosas te preocupan? ¿La economía? ¿Tu salud? ¿Tus finanzas? ¿Tus hijos?
No tengas miedo”.
Tu vara y tu cayado me protegen y me confortan” Salmo 23:4 (NTV).
You’re Here, Now, for a Purpose

“Who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”
Esther 4:14 (NIV)
A lot of people think God only calls preachers and missionaries and those who are “super spiritual.” But God’s calling is for everyone! God has called every one of us to make a difference with our lives. The problem is that some of us are not picking up the phone.
You can’t just wonder what you should do with your life or figure it out for yourself. You have to ask God what he created you to do. And then, day by day, you have to look to God’s Word for confirmation that you’re doing what God wants you to do.
It’s time to answer God’s call!
Discerning your call is not just a matter of life and death like it was for Esther—it’s more important than life or death because eternity is in the balance. We’re not just talking about helping people in the here and now. We’re talking about their eternal destinies. Your calling includes your mission—to tell other people about the gospel, that Jesus loves them and wants to be their Savior and friend, that he died so they could know God and be with him forever.
God is working all things for his good. And you can be part of that—when you tell God that you’ll go wherever he wants you to go and do whatever he wants you to do.
In Esther 4:13-14, Esther’s cousin Mordecai sends this word to her: “Do not think because you are in the king’s house you alone of all the Jews will escape. For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” (NIV).
Mordecai knew that this young, poor, orphaned, Jewish girl had not become the queen of Persia by accident. He knew that God put her in that position “for such a time as this.”
God has a destiny for your life. He brought you to this place at this time for a purpose. If you want to know what he has called you to do, you only have to ask and listen.

Why do so many people have a hard time believing that God has a calling and mission for them that only they can fulfill?
What keeps you from submitting your plans to God so that you can do what he made you to do?
How does it change your perspective when you believe that nothing in your life has happened by accident?
