I’m having a break in the on call room, and my mind is doing what it does best; not shutting off and letting me sleep. Instead, I’m remembering back to last week when I was here with Noah, before my chance meeting with Daniel on the train.

He had seen me in the cafeteria grabbing a midnight snack from the vending machine and sent me a text outlining exactly what he wanted for his meal break. Five minutes later, I was pinned against the wall of one of the surgical floor’s on call rooms, being pounced by a very hard and horny walking dildo. Too far gone for foreplay, he had shoved my scrub pants down, desperate to get inside me.

About halfway through, I hit a road block and started thinking too much.

This feels good, but not great like it normally does.

What the hell, Mac? Get it together. He’s the walking dildo, he always makes you come and fast, usually multiple times. So why does this feel like a long distance run rather than a short hundred meter dash? To be honest, it’s getting rather uncomfortable.

Shit, he’s getting harder, and I can feel him tensing up; his grunts are getting louder, his thrusts faster and more sporadic. I make a moaning sound, knowing he likes to hear me, and it works, seemingly spurring him on.

Right now I feel as if I’m a ride on pony outside the grocery store. Put a quarter in and hop on board!  I’ve never had a problem getting off before. Hell, I pride myself on it. What is wrong with me?

Oh god. What if I’ve broken my clitoris from overuse? Misuse? Self-abuse?

I moan again.

My Thoughts

I have been anticipating the release of Nowhere to Hide from the moment I finished Nowhere to Run.  Typically, you can find me reading anything YA or NA, Romance, Paranormal, but I do love a book that has suspense, mystery, heart, twists & turns, characters with depth, and this series is it for me!

I happened to stumble upon Nowhere to Run early on in my blogging career… sounded good and I was up for anything!  What I didn’t know the effect it would have on me while reading…. completely thought my heart was going to beat right outta my chest!  Needless to say, I have been waiting on this book, and when I started to read… I wasn’t let down.

Of course, Stephanie Carolvella has herself surrounded by death, but I honestly think that if she wasn’t… her life wouldn’t be “normal.”  I’ve been trying to put Stephanie into words.  The only thing I can come up with is an egg.  I know, sounds crazy!  She is hard on the outside, but somewhere down deep there is a person that is full of emotion that never shows except in small glances.  There is one very big difference between Stephanie and an egg…. Stephanie won’t CRACK!  That’s for damn sure!

The characters within this book are real.  You will feel as if you are friends with Stephanie, Gena, Jase, Jake, Jesse, and Ben.  You will feel every emotion that occurs in this book:  fear, suspense, mystery, the unknown, anxiety, trust, sadness, hurt, pain, and understanding.  I will say that by the end I was in tears about Jase Devlin.  I just

There is romance within this story, and I believe that helps bring this another element that makes it real… the other elements of murder, serial killers, and suspense make this book an edge of the seat kinda read.

Throughout the entire book, I had ideas of the Jesus Christ Killer and the Copycat, but even if you think you have them figured out… more than likely you will be caught off guard by a twist that will leave you speechless.  What leaves you speechless will leave you wanting more and waiting on the edge of your seat for the next chapters that involved Stephanie Carovella, murders, mystery, suspense, and love.

Renner Caldwell is a planner…she has planned out everything she *thinks* she wants out of life, including her ideal man, but when her perfect man turns out to be a lying bastard, she flees the country in embarrassment.  This knocks her life plan waaay off course.  Renner decides to move to Ireland, where her mother’s family is from, and hide out.  She is happy spending time with her cousin Cady and is content with her new job at her uncle’s bar, The Hibernian, but she still feels she has to have everything planned out.  Everything is going smoothly until one night at work she gains the attention of none other than Cillian O’Bradaigh, lead singer for the Irish rock band, Over The Edge, and hands-down THE HOTTEST guy on the planet.  Now, Renner had met Cillian 5 years before and the two had shared a very steamy kiss, but she thinks there is no possible way he remembers the goody-goody teenager who put the brakes on when things started getting too hot and heavy.  But she’s wrong, he’s never stopped wanting her and Cillian is used to getting what he wants, but Renner wants nothing to do with him.  He doesn’t fit into her mold of the perfect man.  Can he convince Renner to relinquish her control and be free for once?  Have some fun?  Can Renner get over Cillian’s reputation (and her own insecurities) and give him a shot?

I loved this book, especially Cillian.  He comes across as a cocky womanizer, and he is to an extent, but Renner makes him want to be so much more.  There is so much Renner and Cillian have to go through, from traumatic pasts that create hero complexes to downright psychotic exes, and there was never a dull moment.  I absolutely love this series, and each story just keeps getting better and better.  Sawyer Bennett has a way of making you feel so connected with the characters, and I was happy to see a little bit of Linc and Nix in this one…I can’t wait for Flynn’s story!

FACTS ABOUT OFF COURSE

Some of you may know, but I’m an attorney. I got the name Renner from one of the attorneys that was opposing us on a case. I’d never heard that name before and thought it was beautiful and strong. I vowed I’d use it in a story one day.
My cover model, Alex Johnson, who represents Cillian O’Bradaigh, had two amazing tattoos on the inside of his wrists that say “Love” and “Hope”. I decided to write those into the book and we got an amazing promotional shot showcasing the tats. (insert photo if they want)
The Hibernian Pub in the book is modeled after a local Irish bar we have here in Raleigh, North Carolina by the same name. It’s owned by a Dubliner and I promised to use the name in the book in exchange for him letting us do the cover photo shoot there.
When I set out to write this book, I wanted to create the most villainous agitator to date. I think I did that with Maeve. She makes Ryan and Emily’s mom look like a saint, but sadly, she does have some of her own demons that make her that way. Sometimes you will hate her, and you may feel sorry for her on occasion. But then you’ll want to slap her again.
I had fun throwing in some classic Dublin/Irish slang into the book. Words like “Howeya”, “Eejit”, “Gobshite” and “Bollocks” are not typos!
Cillian and Renner are classic opposites. Throw into the mix that Cillian is a controlling Alpha, Renner is an independent woman, and watch the sparks fly everywhere.
You will not get to see many of the other Off characters in this book. Nix makes a hilarious appearance at the end, and you get to meet Renner’s brother, Flynn, who will star in the 5th and probably last book entitled Off Chance. You will get a lot of details on all of the characters in Off Chance though, and their HEA’s will be fully explored.

Cillian:  I collect t-shirts of various bands that I’ve seen.

 Sawyer: Yellow. It’s so bright and cheery!

OFF COURSE SCENE #1

“You remember me?” she asks in awe.

Stepping up close to her again, I grab her chin between my thumb and forefinger so her gaze stays locked on me. I swear a feel a sizzle of electricity from the contact of my skin on hers. “That I do. Five years ago, I kissed a girl that was fresh, and young, and innocent… and so not ready for the likes of me.” Releasing her chin, I rake my eyes down her body and slowly move them up again. I like what I see…a lot, and I take pleasure in the fact that her breath hitches just a little under my perusal. “You’re all grown up, Renner. I’m bettin’ you could handle me now.”

She lets out a shaky breath, and there it is… her eyes go dark. The knowledge that my words alone do that to her thrills me beyond measure. I can’t wait to see what type of response my tongue can get.

“Now, let’s go get that drink and we can see just how well can you handle me.”

The blinding smile I expect to get from her doesn’t come. Instead, her eyes lighten back up and there’s now a scowl on her forehead.

Putting her hands on my chest, she pushes me back away from her. “In your dreams, O’Bradaigh,” she sneers. “I may have been stupid enough to fall for your sexy lines before, but you’re right… I am all grown up now and I have better things to do than waste my time with an arrogant musician.”

I stare at her for just a moment, stunned she’s turning me down. Then I throw my head back laughing. She glares at me and crosses her arms across her chest. She clearly doesn’t get my amusement but I am indeed amused with her. If she wants to play hard to get, I have time to play.

Reaching out, I wrap my hand around her throat, skimming my thumb softly along her jaw. “My cailín álainn has some claws. I’m going to enjoy them when they’re sunk deep into my back while I’m riding you.”

“Aaaagghhh,” she screams in frustration, at the same time knocking my hand away. I take a step back for good measure, just in case she decides to let a fist or foot fly my way. “You are a conceited, egotistical, jackass and the only place my claws will be sunk will be in your balls if you try to touch me again.”

I give her a well-calculated smirk. “Now that thought just turns me on, Renner. You have a gift for words.”

In all actuality, it doesn’t turn me on… thinking about her ripping my balls to shreds, but I’m having far too much fun teasing her.

Now… that lovely high and angry blush she’s wearing? Yes, that’s turning me on. I wonder if her cheeks will get that red when she comes. I bet she blushes all the way down to her breasts.

I’ve waitressed, styled hair, answered phones and, most recently, worked full time as mom to my two beautiful little boys.

Then there was this book… Everyone and their brother started talking about this book series titled Fifty Shades of Grey by EL James. I didn’t really pay attention to the craze at first, since I wasn’t a big reader- okay, I didn’t read at all. But curiosity got the best of me, so I downloaded it to my kindle.

I was immediately hooked. I read the whole series in three days. Yes, three books in three days.

I kept finding all these great books that I HAD to read (just ask my credit card!).

Then I started hearing voices. Voices that turned into stories; stories that were begging to get out of my head.

I started writing them down on scraps of paper. Then I transferred them to my computer. Before I knew it, Planning on Forever was born.

The voices in my head are still talking, so I’m still writing.

Sex, drugs, and rock ‘n roll…that’s Jeremy Mason’s life – he’s the epitome of a rock star, but that wasn’t always so. Jeremy is a musical prodigy – at the age of 3 he was composing classical music, age 5 playing the piano for the queen, he excelled at every instrument he picked up but it was never enough for his parents. Living in the shadow of his brother, he never felt loved, accepted, or understood – which is why he decided to be a rock star. We all know what that life entails – lots of women throwing themselves at you, alcohol flowing freely, and easy access to drugs, which Jeremy came to rely on heavily.

At one of Jeremy’s shows, he spots Dylan Ackhart, front and center, being trampled by overzealous fans. He stops the show to help her out and she ends up backstage with her best friend, Theresa. Jeremy is attracted to the green-eyed beauty, but after witnessing a group orgy, Dylan decides it’s best to part ways with the rocker. Jeremy doesn’t give up so easily, and Dylan finally decides to live a little. She’s always had her nose in her books, working hard to get into Harvard Law, and she deserves to have some fun. After only a few days of hanging out, Jeremy and Dylan fall hard for each other. Dylan knows Jeremy has issues, but can her love for him make her overlook those problems? Will Jeremy realize he needs help before it’s too late? Can Dylan handle dating a rock star, or would it be easier to date a normal guy like Scott?

I loved this story, even though Jeremy is the cliché drug-addicted, hot rocker. Dylan notices almost from the beginning that Dylan has a drinking problem but she overlooks it. What I don’t understand is how she missed the harder addictions – I figured out who “weasel-boy” was the first time he was mentioned! I thought it was awesome how Dylan was committed to helping Jeremy when he needed it most, but I wasn’t happy with the ending at all. I wouldn’t exactly call it a cliffhanger, but I didn’t feel like there was any closure either, it just kind of stopped. Over all, I fell in love with the characters, and I can’t wait to read Trials to see what else is in store for Dylan and Jeremy – I’m routing for them!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Sarah Biermann, RN, BSN was born Wilmington, Delaware and grew up in Claymont. She attended Cab Calloway School of the Arts in Wilmington for high school, majoring in creative writing. She went on to Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell, PA for her Associates Degree in Nursing. She recently graduated Drexel University with her BSN in nursing and is currently in their Masters program for nursing education. Sarah’s nursing specialty is in drugs and alcohol detox and rehab.

Sarah has been married to her husband, Jon, for 8 years. She has two beautiful daughters: Anna, age 7, and Quinn, age 2. They live in Lansdale, Pennsylvania.

She enjoys reading, singing, art, music, television, going to the movies, Hershey Park, and writing. “Tracks”- the first book in the “Rock Bottom” series- is her first book.

I finally look directly at Jeremy and everything in my body turns to butter. I tingle with electricity. He looks astonishing. It’s a hot day, and he has a sheen of sweat covering his body. His tight white T-shirt clings to his muscular chest. His dark jeans are again hanging low on his hips, exposing his hip bones. He’s barefoot and sleeveless, so casual yet he makes it look so elegant and beautiful. He has his signature grey guitar on his lap and a cigarette hanging from his gorgeous pink lips. He’s clean shaven today, which kind of disappoints me. I loved the way his face felt when it grazed against mine. I imagine for only a moment the way his stubble would feel against my inner thighs…
