@rarely-so-lazy is on set and this is their video of Martin and Una filming a scene together.

North Gower Street, 12.06.2016.

What does she throw to him?

Setlock Recap, 6.10.16
Arwel tweeted a picture of John and Mary’s front door, all by itself in the studio, and later

gave us more skull imagery.

Loo tweeted that she was off to Hendy-Glyn, but based on her other tweets, it didn’t seem to be for filming–so we can assume she probably wasn’t on set today.
Amanda told us she was filming in Porthcawl. Ben was also reportedly spotted there. Filming seemed to be under the direction of Rachel Talalay, who later confirmed she was in the area, and went late into the night.

Mark was filming overnight, supposedly at the Cardiff Civic Centre. He supposedly told someone that he wrote the episode being filmed, so was it perhaps a pickup for episode 1?

Another Asian/Indian/Middle Eastern supporting actor took part in filming, probably on set with Mark in Cardiff.

Ben Mangham (locations) reminded us that they’re headed to London next.

We got word of a parking suspension for Queens Gardens on June 13.

Setlock Recap, 6.11.16
We found out that supporting actor Charles Edwards is playing David Wellsborough in episode 1.

More parking suspensions were spotted for Malet Street/Gordon Square on June 13, Chicheley Street on June 14-15, and Cardington Street on June 21-22.

Pink WIM signs were spotted in London near North Gower Street.

Sue confirmed that tomorrow’s filming at North Gower Street will indeed take place in the evening.

Decipher Setlock

@thesetison
@dearjohnlock

OK! I’m gonna play, too! This is what I come up with when I look at the script. Not at all sure of the “father” thing, but the rest seems logical.

I infer (spoilers!) Culverton Smith is a TV guy who’s launching a new show.

(I am on mobile, and really struggle with doing anything beyond a simple photo post - adding photos to someone else’s posts doesn’t seem in my iPad’s capabilities. Apologies to the folks who started this delightful game for not being able to simply follow your words with this new interpretation.)

They are silly to think we won’t enjoy this game as much as we’ll enjoy S4. :)

It says VIDEO CLIP in the beginning.

This is getting good guys. In awe of your skills.

Sounds like the Shark Tank show to me. AND WOULDN’T THAT BE FITTING

Amazing detectives

@dearjohnlock managed to get ahold of a better quality version of the script pic from Charles Street filming. I still can’t make out anything on the bottom part, which I believe is what Ben and the actress are filming, but I can make out a bit of the top. Above is the pic dearjohnlock posted, an enlarged and sharpened version if you want to try your own hand at deciphering it, and what I was able to get out of it. What I’m pretty certain about is in red, and what I’m less certain about is in blue. Please feel free to add to this or to refute any of the things I suggested.

My best guess is that this may be Smith talking to Sherlock in hospital (and calling him by his first name–I can’t imagine that going over well), which may go along with the theory that the scene with the window and the sign on Charles Street is part of something Sherlock is either deducing in his mind palace or hallucinating from his hospital room (see here and here for that speculation).

And somewhere, Amanda Abbington’s head explodes…..

Episode 1 pickups at this location, too? (x)

Ok, so I’m thinking that this location might be the South Wales Trunk Road Agent office in Neath.

Here’s where that is related to Porthcawl (which is down at the bottom of the map), just fyi:

Per the SWTRA website:

The South Wales Trunk Road Agent (SWTRA) is responsible for:

Managing;
Maintaining; and
Improving

the motorways, trunk roads and associated assets throughout the South Wales region on behalf of the Welsh Government.

Our Route Stewards provide day to day response working to ensure safe roads and reliable journeys.

There’s the mention of the motorway camera system in the above texts, and earlier tonight I found someone on Fb who posted

and their profile says they work at SWTRA.

Ok, I want to amend this post. Neath seemed a little out of the way, so I did some more research

on Fb

about people’s locations and looked at more on the SWTRA website. From that, I think that it’s more likely that the location they’re using is the SWTRA’s Traffic Management Centre in Cardiff.

It has previously been used as a location for filming some Doctor Who and Torchwood episodes (and we know how they love to reuse those), where they specifically have utilised the Centre’s big wall of monitoring screens.

Torchwood Everything Changes (even featuring footage of motorways):

Doctor Who, The Stolen Earth:

That sounds like a good match for the motorway camera system in the original tweet, and this location is a better match for the people I looked at. Plus, it’s in Cardiff, which is usually the most logical choice for where they’d be filming anyway…

So I was thinking about Archie (the adorable little moppet from TsoT and TAB) and it got me thinking. Who the fuck is this kid? I mean granted, most of the people at John’s wedding just sort of materialized out of thin air but Archie was specifically included in the wedding party and Sherlock went out of his way to make an effort with him. So what if Archie is actually John’s nephew? And his mother, who was never identified by name, is Clara. It would make sense that Clara would be at John’s wedding– John always liked her, and presumably they got on well.

Oh wow. I don’t want to assume that everyone who has dark curly hair is a Sherlock mirror but when they position them in a shot AS IF THEY’RE LOOKING IN A MIRROR

image

Harry : Clara = John : Sherlock

Headcanon fucking accepted!

So I have no idea what people are saying, really, about the photos of the woman in the red dress from setlock but I think it’s Harry, and she is a John mirror.

Because of this post, this very post I’m reblobbing right now, I headcanon HARDCORE that this woman, Archie’s mom, is Clara, and a Sherlock mirror.

Gang, John’s gay sister is going to have a lot to say in s4.

@ewebie and @monikakrasnorada this is why I think Blondie McReddress is Harry, not Clara.

@may-shepard btw this is all 100% confirmed by the colour analysis I wrote based on @longsnowsmoon5 ’s ideas. Black and white is a Holmes colour. Red is John’s colour.

OooOOOoooooOOOOOOOOoooo!!! Excellent! I fricking love this fandom.

Oh…well….fuck. Yes. yes. Because Archie was the ring bearer, so yes, he’d be related unless John or Mary had no children in their immediate family (and we know Mary has no family). Fuck.

So let’s look at their dialogue and put their names in.

MARY: Hello, Archie!

JOHN’S NEPHEW’S eyes are fixed on Sherlock and the moment he has a clear route he runs straight to him and wraps his arms around him, smiling happily. Sherlock looks awkwardly down at him.

SHERLOCK: Mm, yes, um, well done in the service, Archie.

CLARA: He’s really come out of his shell. I don’t know how you did it.

SHERLOCK: Um …

FLASHBACK. 221B. Sherlock sits in his chair and looks at JOHN’S NEPHEW sitting in John’s chair. They stare straight-faced at each other for a moment, then Sherlock draws in a breath.

SHERLOCK: Basically it’s a cute smile to the bride’s side, cute smile to the groom’s side and then the rings.

JOHN’S NEPHEW (instantly): No.

SHERLOCK: And you have to wear the outfit.

JOHN’S NEPHEW (instantly): No.

SHERLOCK: You really do have to wear the outfit.

JOHN’S NEPHEW (instantly): What for?

SHERLOCK: Grown-ups like that sort of thing.

JOHN’S NEPHEW (instantly): Why?

(Sherlock pauses for a moment.)

JOHN’S NEPHEW: … I don’t know. I’ll ask one.

JOHN’S NEPHEW(more slowly, thoughtfully): You’re a detective.

SHERLOCK: Yep.

JOHN’S NEPHEW: Have you solved any murders?

SHERLOCK: Sure. Loads.

JOHN’S NEPHEW: Can I see?

SHERLOCK (after only a momentary hesitation): Yeah, all right.

(They get up and go over to the laptop on the dining table. Sherlock shows him a series of pictures – which we can’t see – and after a while JOHN’S NEPHEW leans in to look more closely at an image.)

JOHN’S NEPHEW: What’s all the stuff in his eye?

SHERLOCK: Maggots.

JOHN’S NEPHEW: Cool!

SHERLOCK (looking at him for a moment): Mm!

THE PRESENT. JOHN’S NEPHEW is still hugging Sherlock.

CLARA: He said you had some pictures for him, as a treat.

SHERLOCK: Er, yes … (he pats JOHN’S NEPHEW’s head) … if he’s good.

JOHN’S NEPHEW (turning to look at CLARA): Beheadings.

SHERLOCK (quickly): Lovely little village.

(He unwraps JOHN’S NEPHEW from around him and gently pushes him towards the entrance.)

CLARA: Hmm? (She looks down at JOHN’S NEPHEW as they go inside.) What did you say?

(x)

This is too much. Archie is just as resistant to being John and Mary’s ring bearer as Sherlock is to being best man. The argument about the outfit/Sherlock looking at his suit and saying “into battle.”

“Well done in the service.” (”Afghanistan or Iraq?”)

“He’s really come out of his shell. I don’t know how you did it.” (#SherlockHolmesLives means #JohnWatsonLives)

Also Archie’s enthusiasm over the grisly stuff (”Can I see?”//”Want to see some more?” “God yes.”)…yeah, that kid just might be related to John. (I know they might not be blood related, if Clara is the biological mother, but STILL).

Fucking awesome. I buy it.

underrated johnlock moments: the hounds of baskerville

immediately after john admonishes sherlock for looking so hot cool with his cheekbones and his popped collar, there is this unexplained sexual tension in the car. the atmosphere is silent and weird and then there’s this magnetic moment where they both turn and stare at each other at the same exact time and then look away like they’ve been burned and it’s never explained or mentioned, it just happens, and just look at john - LOOK at him.  look at the way he holds his mouth, at his eyes, at his defeat and worry.  he’s really coming into his feelings for sherlock in these episodes (asib, this, trf) and he knows it but can’t face it and is sure sherlock would never feel things that way and it’s awkward and painful, so after this moment he immediately launches into a new conversation to move on, but the moment is still THERE (elephant in the room anyone??) and there goes yet another moment of things unsaid with these two, another time they could have bridged the gap but failed to do so.

i feel like we don’t talk about this moment a lot, but it’s essential to me, and up there on my list of top johnlock moments.  watch it in context after john’s floundering compliments, see the way he jumps into conversation afterwardit’s just so obvious.
