Posted on Fb around 5 pm local time, just down the street from where they’re filming tonight

So Sherlock is also in whatever scene they’re filming there. Hmmm.

Episode 1 pickups at this location, too? (x)

Ok, so I’m thinking that this location might be the South Wales Trunk Road Agent office in Neath.

Here’s where that is related to Porthcawl (which is down at the bottom of the map), just fyi:

Per the SWTRA website:

The South Wales Trunk Road Agent (SWTRA) is responsible for:

Managing;
Maintaining; and
Improving

the motorways, trunk roads and associated assets throughout the South Wales region on behalf of the Welsh Government.

Our Route Stewards provide day to day response working to ensure safe roads and reliable journeys.

There’s the mention of the motorway camera system in the above texts, and earlier tonight I found someone on Fb who posted

and their profile says they work at SWTRA.

Amanda appears to be alone at the shoot (no Martin or Ben)…. So once again we have a scene with Mary on her own (like Morocco).

Is it a flashback? Mary up to hijinks on her own whilst married? Or could it be post separation and evil!Mary has gone off on her own?

The more we see Mary filming by herself, the more likely it is that we’re going to get flashbacks to her notorious past and/or her cooking up the plot to get John in the first place OR a post separation villain plotting revenge. I love any of those scenarios. It’s the happy wife bit I dislike.

Setlock Recap, 6.9.16
Loo posted a picture of Molly’s shoes on instagram, so perhaps she was filming today.

Dan Stokes, who said he was on set yesterday (though whether as an actor or for some other purpose isn’t quite clear), teased us about playing a young Sherlock.
Gareth Skelding did a recce in Portmeirion, though we don’t know if it’s for Sherlock or not.

Arwel posted a picture of prop street signs for Dorset Street, which may or may not have been used in the filming tonight.

Charles Street in Cardiff was dressed up to look like a London street, complete with a jeweller, a cosmetic centre, and a pub called the Lighthouse and the Trained Cormorant (which is both an ACD canon reference and a throwback to TAB). Strands of Christmas lights were strung above the street, a taxi was present, and at one point there were smoke effects in use (and a fire engine and Real SFX were both seen around the set, too). Ben–in the same costume he’s worn for most of episode 2 filming–and an actress (speculated to be Sian Brooke, who could potentially be the mystery actress from Miskin as well) in a red dress filmed a scene together, Sherlock with a piece of note paper in hand and the actress with a cane and a handbag. Filming also involved Ben standing between a sign of some sort and a window (not attached to a building–just out in the middle of the street) and, later, Ben under some kind of bright spotlight. At some point during filming, they apparently employed the use of a drone. (More pics here: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10; video here)

(I know it’s very late, but I wanted to get in everything from the overnight filming. Expect tonight’s recap to be the same…)

John is a smart man, but that was not his sharpest moment, lol

I used to get mad when men would make jokes about how women’s periods make them irrational, but now I just remember that during Victorian times, a table’s legs were thought to arouse men so they invented table cloths to cover them up so men wouldn’t get erections during dinner

I might cry for no reason but at least I’ve never gotten a BONER for a fucking TABLE

Man, that sucks! They may get more vigilant with security. What he hell is wrong with people? I don’t suppose it could have been in the scene?

Charles St is the heart of Cardiff’s LGTB district

Yep, where they are filming tonight. Look at the link from Wales on line and note the gay bars in this street and adjoining streets. Maybe a new gay bar scene? This time actually kept in the show? The case is right and Sherlock finally dances with John.
