Ayurveda inspired sweet potato risotto

Something radical happens on a certain day of fall. My body goes: no more cold food.

It may happen on the first day of fall (happy fall, everyone!) or on a random chilly morning. And when it happens, smoothies and cold soups, and yogurt snacks are out of my menu till spring comes back. There’s a National Day for everything, and flip flops are no different. The third Friday of June is National Flip Flop Day! Hurray?

Boost your salads

Salads. Oh, salads. They can be a source of amazing nutrition. But they can also be a double edged sword – creating the illusion of healthy, yet bringing little to the table.

Before you throw carrotsat me, let me elaborate. Most of my clients rely heavily on salads for lunch and dinner. Yet, when we look at the ingredients, we see some greens, a couple of tomatoes or cucumbers, some dressing, and if we are lucky – bacon bits, some boiled eggs, tuna.
