Unbreak My Heart was unlike any book I've ever read or heard by Lauren Blakely. It had heart, heartbreak, it pulled at the heartstrings and hit emotional highs and lows that I didn't think I would want to hit. We begin the book after the death of Ian, Andrew's brother. Andrew is in the midst of his grief and he's just going through the motions of living, but he's not really living. Holland has come back into his life at a time when he's got a lot of questions. Questions he needs to get to the bottom of. Some answers he might not want to know. He and Holland go on a journey to Tokyo to find out why Ian stopped taking his medication when he should have been on a regimen for his cancer and instead all the pills are still in his bottles. Secrets are let out of the bag, but will they make Andrew feel better?

First of all, I've never listened to a book like this from Lauren Blakely and that's a good thing! Usually, her books are fluffy romances known for their funnier plotlines and this book had a robust storyline, strong characters and extraordinary narrators! I mean, the narration itself was 5 stars but then the story just added that much more to it. Joe Arden did such a fantastic job, but who really stood out was Erin Mallon - that woman reads a man's role better than a man. Seriously, after listening to Joe Arden and Erin Mallon for all those hours, I surmised that Erin did a man better than Joe. Her chapters were so full of emotion that at times I was left breathless waiting for the next chapter. As everyone knows great narration can make a book and bad narration can break it...this made the book. I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys audiobooks or even who doesn't but wants to try them. This is a great place to start.

I'm hoping that she continues this even through this year and just makes it a long series like the yoga series. I found the characters engaging, funny, and multi-dimensional. I can't wait for the next one.

It kind of gave hope to those of us looking that love can hit you just that quickly. We got to see a snippet of the next book - which I can't wait to see and I'm counting down the days. Overall, this was a great third book in the series and you don't have to read them in order, but I would.

Every book I read from Jennifer Probst keeps me entertained from the first chapter. When I first read the blurb, I thought it sounded like it's been done before but I wanted to read it. It was a feel-good story and sounded heartwarming, so I requested it. I wasn't disappointed. I loved Presley and her friends...They all cracked me up. Presley and Nolan were so wonderful together and had that chemistry and tension that's sometimes lacking in other books that can feel forced. I absolutely adored it. I would recommend this to anyone that likes sweet romance with some sexy thrown in for good measure.  
EXCERPT: She’d known all along he’d lied about his identity in order to secure this appointment. Admiration flowed through him, along with a strange punch in his gut that urged him closer. The spicy scent of orange blossoms and clove filled the air, making him want to breathe deeper. “How did you know?” he asked, stopping on the opposite side of the monstrous espresso structure that held two oversized monitors, dozens of papers, and a toppling pile of books. “I thought I covered my tracks nicely.”She gave a half shrug and reached for her Starbucks cup, seemingly already bored with his conversation. “You’re predictable.”Male pride stung, he still couldn’t help laughing. Just a head's up for those that haven't read VF Mason before - if you have a weak stomach or can't take psychological romances...These are not the books for you.  You've been warned.  This book starts out with the heroine (Valencia) locked away and being mistreated.  You will find that what you think is going on and what is actually going on are two totally separate things.  I've learned while reading these books that nothing are as they seem.  Lachlan is a tortured hero...when I say that - I mean, he's absolutely happy to torture other people about his past to satisfy his future.  He's what they teach you about in Psychology 101 and I imagine that he's kind of what a serial killer would be like in person without the romantic feelings and all.  Cold, twisted and sadistic.  This book will make you feel uncomfortable as it should because the topic that it contains is a topic that we shouldn't be comfortable with.  If you're triggers are rape, child abuse, or severe psychological and emotional abuse...I don't recommend reading without you knowing that ahead of time.  However, it's a great suspenseful book that will leave you sitting on the edge of your seat.

My favorite book will always be the first book but this came in a close second. This latest book from Lilly Atlas was a page turner for me for several reasons:
1. Maverick has always been an interesting character for me - starting with Zach's story and continuing with this one. I wanted to see his side of the story in Zach's side, but we didn't really get to see what he went through when he was captured and tortured.
2. Stephanie was a strong-willed, beautiful and brilliant FBI agent who even when she was tied up and getting ready to be assaulted by King - she ran her mouth and smarted back at her captors. I loved her character. I loved that even when the cat was out of the bag she stood up and took what the President of the Club had to say and didn't cower.
3. I loved the chemistry between these two characters and I really liked how they worked the FBI angle into it and we got to see the intricacies of what it was like for Stephanie. It's not a black and white world, but lots of grey.

I loved the imagery in this that the first book kind of lacked for me. This book went a little further in both story and grit. I can't wait for the next one! There are some triggers in this, so if that's a problem for you - I would caution as you read it.

We are changing.  I no longer see her as just Reese, my best friend. When I look at her now, I see a gorgeous woman that takes my breath away. I see my future. But what if she doesn’t see me the same way?  I can’t risk losing her…  The fear of screwing everything up is excruciating. So that’s why I have chosen to stick to the rules. The Rules of Friendship that is.  She was off limits. Plain and simple.  But then in she walks wearing her tiny shorts and those tight tops. Come on, a guy can only have so much restraint before he caves…


I quite liked the book and overlooked a lot of the editing issues due to the fact that it was an ARC and that I hope it all gets fixed before it releases.  There are a bunch of things that I can overlook - bad editing and grammar aren't one of them.  The storyline and plot were adorable and had me hooked, but I digressed from there by the glaring errors of the mistakes...Enough about that. 
What struck me about this book was the topic.  Best friends fall for each other - gets me every time and this was no exception and I loved that aspect of this story, but what I didn't really think it needed was all the drama.  Maybe a whole lot of tension but leave out the drama. You’ll find enough here, all keeping you on pins and needles until the end.  I'm not a fan of angst but this seemed to kind of work in this books favor and I flew through the pages and it's probably I really liked Dawson and Reese.  What I didn't like was the lovey dovey, instalove that took place....even though it took years - it was still insta.
C.A. Harms is like any other addicted reader. She enjoys happy endings and HEA love stories. She hasn't always been a lover of Romance and had once been addicted to a good Mystery. Just recently she has taken on a new liking and now is a full blown Romance novel addict. She lives in Illinois and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
