I don't remember Ryker from Book 1 but I loved him in this book!! I loved Ryker and Penelope together. I thought that it was going to be another football book that left the hero a reformed playboy, however, this one was a little different because he was already a really sweet guy from the beginning of the book. Now, he might have been a jerk in the first book but in this book - he was pretty spectacular. I loved reading about his inner thoughts and the things going on in his head. What I didn't like was that little prig Archer. Was I the only one hoping he'd hit a tree while drunk? No? Well I did...So, that must make me a horrible person. I would give this series 5-stars so far.

I love LP Dover but I'm really in a love funk because while I really enjoyed this...I'm so tired of storylines that don't really happen IRL. Maybe I need to quit reviewing because I'm becoming so jaded lol, but I have never met a great guy at the airport and offered him a ride home and do you know why? Because there's a little thing out there called serial killers...yep, you totally read that correctly - serial killers. In my world, I invite the nice guy a ride home and he makes a skinsuit out of me. This is seriously how I think!!! I am one jaded chick and the sad thing is - this is a good book!! I loved Meghan and Justin but I just couldn't see past the noise of Scream (the Movie) in my head. DO NOT LET THIS DETER YOU FROM READING THE BOOK!!!! It's amazeballs. LP writes awesome hockey books. She's probably one of the best and I can't recommend her enough. So ignore me and go read it!

I love most of LLV's books but this one missed the mark for me I'm sad to say. Just the whole story about the mob and Rhys being a baseball player was farfetched with the whole "his uncle but not his uncle trying to kill him" just didn't do it for me. I had to suspend a lot of belief with this story. I really miss the old day of Freebirds and The Dixie Wardens. I loved the heroine but the instalove was really out there for me also. This is my first negative review I've ever written in all the books she written and overall I'm sure that someone is going to love it but it just wasn't me this time, unfortunately. I think everyone should not go by my word alone as I was in the middle of a hurricane and downright miserable with no electricity and hating the world so that could have also colored my view....take this in the spirit that it was read and written.

VF Mason is a must-read for me ever since Psychopath's Prey and this book didn't disappoint. There were some parts that are really hard to read just based on the fact that they're kind of gory, but if you love a good romantic thriller - this is the book for you. The characters are reoccurring and you don't have to read all the other books in the series but it does help if you have read them. I actually recommend that you read them in order to get the most out of the series and because I don't want to give any of the plot away or tell you anything about what happens - I'm not telling you anything about what happens. Just know if you've read the series, it's totally worth it and if you haven't- you really should.

I love LLV and I really like this series. I can't wait for the next one. This one wasn't as great as the last one but it was just as good as I've come to expect. Linc and Conleigh have been in several of the books previously and I loved their characters but this one was just so-so. I loved seeing all the other characters though.

I love Carian Cole's books and this was no exception, however it had some really deep issues that are in-between the pages. Some things that are discussed are drug use, sex, and mental illness to name a few. The way they are handled are really well-done. At no time did I feel like it was played off in a manner that was disrespectful or shown in a light that wasn't true. Blue was really a poor guy that I felt sorry for and he had some real problems that I could see from a mile away. When Blue was Evan, he was a great guy - he was attentive and loving but when he's Blue, he's reckless and wild. Piper is kind of an enabler- she loves Blue but she also enables him to a certain degree. If it had been me...I don't know that I would have stuck around. I just would have cut my losses but that's me. This book was full of depth and character. The story that was told was a true gem. I wouldn't have missed it for the world.
