Rhys Rivera is the star short-stop for the Longview Lumberjacks. Many know him, even more love him. He has a pretty face, a quick smile, and an air of danger about him that everyone seems to adore.

He’s not known as the bad boy of baseball for nothing.

It all started with his father, who decided to be a criminal mob boss, then die.

Fortunately for his uncle, Rhys wants absolu

Best book of the series... hands down!!

Rhys is the star short-stop for the Longview Lumberjacks, a really great guy, and... he happens to be heir-apparent to a criminal kingdom. He's got an inheritance he doesn't want and can't spend his money fast enough... giving it away to charity. Who wouldn't love this guy?

Hensley is an absolute sweetheart. She's a mail carrier, a fantastic sister, and she devotes most of her time volunteering at the hospital, cuddling babies and sitting beside coma patien

Rhys and Henley’s story took more creative leaps than I’m used to but I went with the flow. It turned out to be an interesting plot with a little reach but overall a fun journey. I liked Henley’s perseverance and supportive nature. Rhys was interesting and dynamic. They had a good connection that translated well in the pages. It was interesting to read the cameo of a character that has spanned through several series and how his actions add to the very complex layer that’s been built up for him. ...more

ALL THE SWOONS! There’s No Crying In Baseball series truly is THE BEST! Rhys and Henley couldn’t have surprise me more (new couple crush!), and this book… WOW, just WOW! Getting more and more addicted to these Lumberjacks and their stories by the minute – or should I say book!

For those of you Lani Lynn Vale fans like myself, you’ll recognized Rhys and Henley from previous books from the author, specially Too Bad So Sad, where Tyler, Henley’s

What the FU@K, Lani?!

After reading Pitch, Please I was so excited about getting my hands on this book--I even preordered it! Now, I wish I had spent that money on a 2 for $4 meal, which would have actually satisfied me.

This book isn't a book, it's like the shell of a story with all the good parts missing. So much telling, so many missed opportunities to add depth. One minute they are chatting in the kitchen, and the next minute it is three months later... What the FU@K happened in those three mo

WARNING My reviews are generally all over the shot but this one will be extra evasive because I don't want to spoil anything for you lovelies.

Mother fucker this book got me all kinds of messed up.

First off.. I mean any fan of this author knows your about to get good and done no matter the characters because Lani always pulls it out the bag. I don't know what I expected of Rhys and Henley's story but I was not prepared for this kind of crazy.

sports romance with a hint of mafia? Yes fucking pleas

3 1/2 stars I really enjoyed this book but I have to say something happens in this book that took the star count down significantly. I was really liking the hero and heroine and the storyline as well the fact that the heroine wasn’t “perfect”. I know many won’t have an issue with this book and won’t agree with my comment and maybe I’m over reacting but for me I’m not, (view spoiler) ...more

I received an ARC of this book in return for an honest review. I like the idea behind this story. I wish there we were able to read more about their interactions over the months of recovery to show the obvious attraction that they talk about. Honestly, being I had to read it over a few days I thought I missed parts or forgot about things. It felt like it jumped ahead at times you missed out on connecting with the characters. Like I said, I liked the idea of it but some of it fell short for me.
The previous chapters made you want to keep reading…and it turned out to be great. Although H didn't think he love h, it didn't take long for him to realize that's love. This story also solved the myth in Tyler's story about his sister's three children.

If there's story about H's sister, I'd like to read.

Before I start this review, I need to address one thing. I freaking love the titles in the There’s No Crying In Baseball Series! I cannot get over how cute and witty these titles are!

About Listen, Pitch:

Rhys Rivera is known as the sexy as sin playboy in the baseball world. But what the world doesn’t know is Rhys Rivera is in hiding from an Uncle who is out to destroy him and everyone he loves. His one greatest mission in life is to be the best he can at his career that way he’ll become untouchab

What a treat this one turned out to be, it was exactly nothing like I imagined. Vale will constantly keep you guessing with this one!

Review to come!
Rhys Rivera is living his dream of being a professional baseball player, but his past has his ties with the mafia always threatening to take hold. It isn't that Rhys wants any part of it, he has made it clear he wants his life in Texas. Threats are always coming though and that is why Rhys knows he should stay away from Henley Cree, his neighbor but she may just be the solution he has been looking for.

Henley is attracted to Rhys and as they get close he makes her a proposition she isn't sure she

This one was a bit too over the top even as I liked Rhys and Henley. The over the top part started with Rhys's accident and recovery. There is no way that a person would have been allowed to leave the hospital like that in his career situation. Then there is how Rhys went back to work, not believable. And dont' get me started on Rhys family situation and what he had to do by the time he was 30 and 1 year after. Things got even more crazy towards the end, not sure what is more than over the top, ...more

Yess...Listen, Pitch is the 3rd book in the There's No Crying in Baseball series. I feel that the books can definitely be read as a standalone but they are all sooo enjoyable, you should definitely read them all!!

Ohh and before I write my review, I always like to take a moment and admire Lani's book covers. Holy smokes, Jacob Wilson as the muse for this book just hit it out of the park for me!!! Great choice girlie!!!

I’m a huge fan of Lani Lynn Vale’s, and I’m really enjoying this sports romance series. Lani always adds a suspenseful element to her stories, and while this series is a bit lighter-hearted than her others, it definitely has some intrigue co-mingled with the romance. While the There’s No Crying in Baseball series is a world within one of Vale’s existing worlds, this series can definitely be read on its own and would be a great place for a new reader to start.

I loved Rhys and Henley! H

I have been waiting for this book for what seems like forever! I love Lani Lynn Vale's "There's No Crying in Baseball" series and Rhys is a character I've been very curious about from the first mention of him. That curiosity became even stronger when he made an appearance in Too Bad So Sad, along with his lady love Henley. To say their story has been one I anticipated is such an understatement! And boy was it a fun ride!

There's a time jump in this one, but it goes backwards. In TBSS, Rhys and H

Baseball, the mob, and love…

What do those things all have in common? Well, they all belong in this fabulous new read from one of my favourite authors. Lani Lynn Vale knows how to spin a funny, emotional and twisty tale and Rhys and Henley’s romance was just that!

Rhys is injured in a horrific accident but as he recovers Henley realizes that her neighbour has hidden depths. He had played the white knight and she turned around and did the same thing for him. Doing that meant a closeness sprung up b
I don't even know where to start with this book. Ok ok ok.....I'll start with....don't read the 2nd half of this book in public. I made the mistake of reading a certain part in my break room and ended up crying my eyes out and my co workers looked at me like I was nuts.
This book had something for EVERYONE. LLV's usual funny banter, smoking hot hero, quirky and witty heroine, nutty family...BUT...she added in a villain that was so bad I wanted to whack him. That man had no soul and this earth wo

This book was fun, interesting, and really ties together all of the stories in the baseball series and the Bear Bottom Guardians series. There was some drama, some serious parts, but the connection between Henley and Rhys was absolutely....perfect. There is no other way to put it. I loved them separately, but together they were amazing! Another must read from LLV!

Listen, Pitch is quite the intriguing name for Henley and Rhys’ story because it becomes more than apparent that both of them have a few people in mind who they’d like to tell off, and in some ways, that’s exactly what they do the further into the story readers go, which is where things go a little off-kilter and a lot out of control.

Henley Cree is quite a fiery yet positive thinking woman - one who always puts others ahead of herself and one who has distorted self perception that Rhys is more

4 Star Review Listen Pitch (There’s No Crying In Baseball #3) by Lani Lynn Vale

This is book three in the There’s No Crying in Baseball series. It can be read as a standalone but in my opinion I would read the books in order.

Rhys Rivera is the star short-stop for the Longview Lumberjacks and is known as the bad boy of baseball for good reasons. His father was a mob boss so you know that this story will not be just a sports romance story even though Rhys wants nothing to do with the family busine
omg! hahahaha, what a steaming pile of bullshit.
it has more twists and turns then a Mexican drama series.
seriously, i can't figure out how it got such a high rating! how?!
is it me?
who has 4 babies from a surrogate? mob boss? marriage of convenience? waking up from a coma?
you ask it and this book has that drama incident. the only saving grace was it was engaging to read , as engaging it is to watch a really bad drama series. wow

What do I love most in the romance world? Sports Romance. Why? Because the drama is always juicy. Lani Lynn Vale is definitely an author in my TBR I am currently working through. A lot of her work is either a hit or miss with me on my like vs love spectrum, but I have really come to enjoy her storylines. Listen, Pitch is the third book of Vale I have read, and I enjoyed it, I did, but the

This is my second book by Lani and 2nd in There's No Crying In Baseball series. I like her witty writing style, pitching ordinary heroines with sports superstars heroes

Typically her stories have 3 main ingredients- funny banter, fast pace and unusual names.
Here too Henley Diane Cree is a regular girl next door to a baseball superstar- Rhys Rivera. He's a quiet man with noisy friends and Henley is a girl with disability.

He tries to play things as safe as possible, but is always waiting for the past to catch up to him and ultimately take him out. So, he plays it as safe as possible. But, his sexy neighbor has him completely intrigued . . . and no matter how hard he tries to stay away, it’s a losing battle.

Another home run by the talented Lani lynn Vale Listen Pitch has got to be my favorite in the There's no crying in baseball series it can be read as a standalone but I would recommend that you get the other stories as soon as possible . I used to read reviews because I’m a review reader. I love how every story is different for everyone, however I have recently stopped doing that and I scroll through to look at the rating instead. I was scrolling on this book and amongst all the 4 & 5 ratings there was a 1 so I had to read that one and I honestly wanted to knock this person upside the head with a shoe!!! I need to make time to read the rest of this authors books, this book was so good! If you like sports suspense romances then this one is for you.

Rhys Rivera plays for the Longview Lumberjacks baseball team and he is the star of his team. He just moved into a new place as well and is having a party. Lani Lynn Vale is so brilliant when it comes to keeping me on my toes, because I read everything she writes, but am floored how she never fails to shock me in the best ways. And Listen, Pitch as a story that I knew would be awesome, but I really didn't see the extra levels of an extremely emotional journey coming. Rhys Rivera is an all star on his pro baseball team the Longview Lumberjacks, and is known as the bad boy of baseball. He's gotten away from the family business in the mob, although it ...more
