Happy congratulations to any readers who may have given birth to beautiful little girls recently. I wish you much happiness!

Deleted a lot of bots from the Mattboard . Almost lost Shanghi in the process; sorry about that. Am working on implementing some bot-catching stuff. Many thanks to Mountie for your help!

ITL and some maintenance stuff

1.) Gift subscriptions

I have two gift subscriptions available and three people asking for them. If it's possible for you to pick up a gift subscription for a fellow reader, please let me know, either in comments here or by sending me a private LiveJournal message.

2.) The Mattboard

I opened registration to the Mattboard, and it's since been flooded with spam and bots and who knows what. I hope to work on a solution tomorrow. Closing registration again is possible but I hope that it won't be ...

Charity auction update

Results of the first auction! To help Haiti, brenbanners pledged $50 to the International Committee of the Red Cross. In return, she has requested a "Living" short starring the Drewsome.

So, some Brian/Drew/Nick fun should be on its way to you "soon."

My plan was:
1.) Close the Haiti auction.
2.) Write the short story.
3.) Post the short story.
4.) Open another auction.

That way, I'd have the short story from the first auction posted by the time I opened the next auction, so no one would start to ...

You know when Remin says something in the throne room and Anikira laughs and Kudorin grins and rolls his eyes? Yeah, I didn't plan that. Remin just sort of said it, in all sincerity, but I was like, heh, dude, you said "staff," snort, and I couldn't let it pass.

Anyway. Hooray for my juvenile sense of humor!

Mattboard

Just changed the registration process on the Mattboard because it was preventing new members from signing up. Hooray for new members! Unfortunately, history has proven that when registration is easy, spambots will descend. I apologize for any and all spam on the board, and I'll try to figure out what to do to block it. So far, we're up to $50 donated to the International Committee of the Red Cross!

Anyone want to donate $55 to help the people of Haiti? Do I hear $60? Go here and make your offer in comments.

Remember, whoever pledges the most not only helps out Haiti, but also gets to tell me what to write. And most of you've wanted to do that for years!

I think that raising in increments of $5 is a good way to keep things moving without battling over pennies.

I'm asking that the money for this auction be donated towards helping Haiti. As long as the organization of your choice is a reputable one, and is assisting relief in Haiti at this time, it should be fine.

As I said in comments, I'm offering slash because I haven't posted slash in about 80 years and I thought that it would generate more interest.
