Passwords

Something is screwy with the passwords. From what I can tell, PayPal changed them all without warning. I have no idea what's going on.

The password you've been using is still the one my site recognizes, so long-term readers should have no problem. There are new subscribers who may not have memorized their passwords yet, and who may check PayPal and try to use the new one and get locked out.

I'm going to ask PayPal what they're up to, and decide how to proceed from there.

Thank you to everyone who's been enjoying the print version of Volume 2! I really appreciate your support! Yes, an e-version will be available soon.

November 11th

WHOA.

Sweet Uncleanness turns ten today!

Dude, I had no idea. That's an actual milestone! Ten!

Man. I have to do something. Like write a story or bribe Diamond to fix up the site or something.

Anyway. SU turns 10 today. I started out with 51 stories ten years ago, and now I have two websites, three published short stories, "Living," Off the Record, and all of you.

Thank you for everything. Y'all have changed my life. Before I started this adventure, I'd never shown anyone my work, and I wrote expressly for myself. Now I want to use my work to give people an escape, to make you smile, to turn you on, to make you laugh, to share some of my ideas about life and love and romance and humanity.

Thank you for everything that you've done and all of your support. It's been a busy ten years, and a lot's changed - - I've changed - - and I'm grateful that you've been here, for any part of it.

Now available in print

Hello!

In This Land: The Purple Book, Volume Two is now available in print!

What an unfortunate title. Maybe we should just call it Steve.

Steve is now available in print!

Steve comes with his very own short story, "Asaku," and the username and password to exclusive on-line content (which this time around means answers to reader questions).

Please enjoy! As always, thank you for your support.

Edited to add: In other news, part 21 of "Where You Belong" should show up now. Sorry about that.

Hi

Three or four people have contacted me to say that they can't get into the site or into ITL, but everyone reports an entirely different problem.

If www.matthewhaldemantime.com itself won't pull up, please try another browser. If it still doesn't exist, please report whatever you can here.

If the site shows up just fine, but your username/password don't work (and they did before), let me know what's going on.

If you know anything about computers or the Internet at all, please read the comments and help me problem-solve.

Thank you!

Target

I was asked to share this video with y'all, and I'm happy to pass it along.

From the video's info:

Last week Target Corporation gave $150,000 to Minnesota Forward, which i[s] using the money to run TV ads for Republican Tom Emmer's campaign for Minnesota governor. Emmer has connections to anti-gay groups. This donation, clearly acceptible under the new Citizens United Supreme Court ruling angered many in the state, seeing this as a $150,000 contribution to fund ant[i]-gay politics. One Eden Prairie mom and grandmother took her anger directly to a Target. Her repeated attempts to get to Target executives failed so she took her Target Charge Card. A $226 purchase on that card was immediately returned for credit and she scissored her Target card into little pieces to be used no more.

Quick reminder

When you say something racist (homophobic misogynist ageist classist lookist sizeist), it's racist.

It may be an "internet meme." It may be "just a joke." It may be something everyone says. It may be cool with your friends. It may be cool with your black (gay female old poor ugly fat) friends. It may be a lot of things.

It's also still racist.

You may not mean it that way. You may spell it differently.

It's. Still. Racist.

It still plays into racist themes. It still reinforces racist ster...
