Nearly there, Josh & Chris

Learning to Love: Josh & Chris finally has a release date.
It's out with Dreamspinner press on May 27.
What's it about?
When Chris Andrews gave evidence against the men who manipulated him into taking part in a homophobic assault, Josh Saunders was his rock, and his support gave Chris the courage to come out. Now that Chris finds himself sharing a house with Josh, he wonders where that strong, sexy guy has disappeared to, because Chris wants him back—but he can’t wait forever.

Josh has been attracted to Chris from the get-go, and the more time they spend together, the stronger the pull grows. But he needs to make sure Chris feels the same attraction, and not just gratitude. Josh bides his time, waiting for the right moment… and misses his chance when Chris starts seeing someone else.

Somehow Josh has to convince Chris they are perfect together. But first, he needs to figure out who has been sending Chris malicious letters, threatening him over the phone, and writing hateful slogans across their front door—and persuade his own ex, who seems determined to win Josh back, to get lost. In fact, Josh’s life may depend on it.

Evan & Daniel - Hi there, boys!

This feels like it's been a long time coming.....
My second book releases today and I commented to a close friend yesterday that I felt I'd worked harder on it after it was written than I did during its creation. It feels very different to the book I wrote in April -June last year.
I hope you enjoy reading what happens next. I wanted Evan to find his Prince Charming. Except this particular Prince came with a lot of baggage....
It's lucky Evan is a patient soul who believes he's found his soul mate - and he's not letting Daniel go...

I have a new release date!!

Well, I finally got a date for Learning to Love: Evan & Daniel - it's out March 20th.
A lot has happened since book one released in November, and it's fair to say that I got a shock.
A very good friend, who is also an author, read my third book - and gave me some really good advice which also sent me spinning. As a result, books two and three got revisited and rewritten. In fact, I was still changing things when Evan & Daniel hit its final round of edits...
I think it's a far better book, but that's me. Put it this way... I read through Michael & Sean when it came out and my first thought was "Wow... I don't write like that any more!" Not so much that my writing style had changed, but my Voice had. I much preferred the second book.
But I will have to mention my editor. Another good author friend took a look at book two, and went through the first ten pages. I was amazed at how much tighter the writing ended up. And then it turned out that a friend of his is an editor with my publisher, and was given the book for a final round of edits....wow. I learnt soooooo much. I started the latest book and found myself avoiding those words which I overused - that's a good start.
So I guess I've learnt a couple things...
I have to keep learning and evolving as a writer - there is always room for improvement
I value the work of my editors so much more now - they do a fantastic job.
I got a lot of feedback from readers - not all of it good, I have to say, but some of it was extremely useful and it made me look at the story lines again - no bad thing.
So where do I go from here? Well, as I type, book three (Josh & Chris) is sat on my laptop, patiently waiting for me to continue editing it. And I await the reaction to book two....

My first ever BDSM short story!

I received a release date for the ANTHOLOGY I participated in. I wrote a short story for 50 GAYS OF SHADE, which was edited by Kiernan Kelly. Kiernan posted this yesterday, "Am I excited or what? The Fifty Gays of Shade anthology will be released on February 13th through Torquere Press! Edited by yours truly, it contains stories by some of the hottest m/m BDSM authors!"

Wow... Having seen some of those authors who have participated, I'm going to be in some very illustrious company!

Winning Will's Heart by K.C.Wells
Twenty-two years old, submissive Will suffered at the hands of a forceful Dom. Yet despite his horrific experiences, the boy still craved to learn more about his own submissive nature. Dom Matt takes the boy under his wing, to teach him that being a submissive doesn't mean being beaten to within an inch of his life, or having someone force themselves on him.
What's killing Matt is that, as yet, he hasn’t connected with the sub on an emotional level. He has no idea of what makes Will tick, and Matt yearns for that connection - especially as the mere thought of the beautiful sub is making him as hard as a rock... Maybe it's time to do something about that.

What am I up to right now?
Well, apart from being up to my eyeballs editing Learning to Love: Evan and Daniel, book two in the series which is due out hopefully next month, I spent a good few hours today planning the second book in my BDSM series, Collars & Cuffs. This one is the story of Thomas, Leo Hart's business partner and joint owner of the BDSM club. Thomas's life is about to become very interesting, when a former colleague asks him to take a traumatized sub into his home. Sound familiar? I'd already outlined the story back in August when the idea first came to me for Winning Will's Heart.
The first book in the series, An Unlocked Heart comes out later in the year, with Dreamspinner Press.

Book two on the way...

Learning to Love: Evan & Daniel is now back with Dreamspinner... I spent roughly two weeks editing it, honing it, polishing it...
The result is (I hope) a better book.
When I was reading through it, I was struck by the difference between book two and book one. I think I've learnt a helluva lot since I wrote book one back in March 2012. And that can only be good.
I hope that when people read book two, they can see the difference, too.
Right now, I'm working on book three, Josh & Chris, which is coming out in May / June.
And I can already see how my writing has changed.
Wow...I'm watching evolution in progress here.... Damn, this is exciting!

Okay, so it's finally out there....

It seems like such a long time since I first signed the contract - back in May - until the book finally released last week. And when the day finally arrived? My God, I was sooooo excited!
A lot has happened since that day back in May. For a start, I wrote the two sequels to Michael & Sean's story, although the final story will have to wait a while...
And then I wrote my first BDSM novel! I'm so proud of it, and I can see how much my writing has changed in the six months since I wrote my first book. That's now in the hands of my publishers, and I'm waiting to hear its fate...
But I have to say....I loved every minute of writing Michael & Sean's love story. I loved watching them take their first few steps together on their journey of discovery - and yes, I was trying not to cry when I wrote about what happened to them at some points along the way. But it was always going to be a Happy Ever After for these two soul mates...
