Is it still September?

Wow.
I haven't brought out two novels in the same month since Making it Personal and An Unlocked Heart were released in July 2013, but here we are, September, and here we are again - two novels, neither of them short.

First is finally on Amazon to pre-order - yay! And the reviews are already coming in for this one...
http://www.amazon.com/First-K-C-Wells...

September also brings the release of the third in the Island Tales series, Submitting to the Darkness. It's the story of a young man who is hired as a companion to an author of political history books. Adam Kent lost his sight in a remarkably short time, and he is NOT coping. Add to that the fact that he is - or was - a Dom, and his sense of loss threatens to overwhelm him. Paul wants to help, but it's not easy, especially when Adam makes it clear he doesn't want Paul there.
Everything changes when Adam realizes Paul is gay, and Paul takes a peek into one of Adam's boxes in the attic....

Two very different books: a porn star who meets an innocent young man, and a blind Dom who thinks his life is over...

FIRST is nearly here!

I recently wrote a blog post for GGR-Review about how First came to be written.

http://ggr-review.com/on-the-way-to-g...

Well, as of today, I have a release date, and as of last night, the book finally has its cover.

I think it's stunning in its simplicity and beauty.I'm really happy that the model, Dirk Caber, agreed to be on it. He's Mike to a Tee.

http://www.dreamspinnerpress.com/stor...

Mike is a bartender, who is also a porn star. I wanted to write this book as realistically as possible. So when Dirk agreed to the cover, I asked if he'd like to be my adviser. I wanted to know the reality of working in the industry.
And I got quite the education...

First will be released September 21.

Into the dark

The first two Island Tales came out toward the end of 2013. I knew the plot for the third was going to be a little different, and when I mentioned on Facebook that it would feature a blind Dom...
Yeah, a few people got interested.
So here I am, a couple of chapters away from the end of what is turning out to be my longest self-published work to date. It's going to be over 80,000 words, which led my editor to comment: "gulp"
Submitting to the Darkness is set on the Isle of Wight in the UK. For those who don't know, look at the map and go as far south as you can. That little diamond shape off the south coast of England? Yep, that's it.
I'm not going to tell you much more about it, because the blurb pretty much does that. What I can tell you is, there are a few people lining up to read this one.
In the meantime, I have to go talk to a very knowledgeable friend about flogging....

A very different sort of blog post...

Yes, it's about a book.
Nothing different there, you might think
But there is. One HUGE difference.

Recently I met a wonderful young man. His name is Stephen Land, and he has a story to tell. I'm not going to tell it here - I'll let him do that.
Stephen has asked me to collaborate with him, to bring his story to the world.
Why does he want to do this?
Because there are people out there - men, of all ages - who need to hear it. That's why part of the proceeds from the book will go to a charity - https://1in6.org/ - and if you click on this link, you'll have an inkling as to part of Stephen's story.
He's trying to raise funds to publish his book but more importantly, to go around the US, talking in high schools and universities - his goal, in his words..."Hoping that I can make a difference in the lives of others who have also been faced with similar situations."
I'm including a link below to his GoFundMe campaign. But before you stop reading at this point - I know, there are a LOT of these out there - click on the link. There's a video of Stephen, talking to the camera.
That's all, just talking, for nearly an hour.
Watch it. Listen to it. The first time I watched it, I had to walk away from the screen - there was just so much emotion there.
This is Stephen, sharing his story, or at least a much shortened version of it. Once you've seen/listened to it, maybe you'll understand why he wants to share it with readers.
I don't have a release date for you. This is going to take time. But we hope to have it out there before the end of the year.
If you think you can help, please, make a donation, no matter how small.
Thank you for your time.

BDSM - beautifully put....

As some of you may know, I have a BDSM series, Collars & Cuffs...
Well, today I read what is possibly the most beautiful and accurate description of BDSM that I have ever read, and I wanted to share it with you...

"The simplest explanation I have of BDSM is that it’s a highly enhanced intimacy. To the unversed it can seem merely like one partner imposing his will on the other, but the truth is that it should involve one partner being able to take the other someplace connectively, physically, and sensually he wouldn’t be able to go normally or on his own, or if he were able to squirm away. It’s about watching your partner’s reactions, keeping tabs on what’s going on in his body, his mind, and his heart, and being able to steer their responses and endorphins. Obviously this is a trust issue on both partners’ parts. You have to be absolutely connected to each other, and the communications necessary go so many levels deeper than just verbal. "
Dirk Caber

There is a reason I admire this man - actually, there are many reasons - and this quote goes a long way to show why I value his opinion and seek his advice.
Because he knows what he's talking about.

Dorian's tale is finally told!

Let me tell you a little story....
Back in August 2012, I had an idea for a series. It was to be set in a BDSM club in Manchester, and there would be three books in this series.
The first was to be that of Leo Hart and the shy submissive he encounters, Alex. Next was his business partner, Thomas and the damaged sub brought to him, Peter. And finally there was to be Dorian's story, the brat who tried to split up Leo and Alex in book #1, and Dom Alan Marchant.
Okay, so if you're a fan of the Collars & Cuffs series, you're already shaking your head, because things didn't go according to plan. I was nearly finished writing An Unlocked Heart and was planning Trusting Thomas when I met one Will Parkinson on Facebook. By the start of 2013 we'd decided to write a book together, and so was born Someone to Keep Me. In August, a meeting with a stripper in a gay strip club in Atlanta gave birth to A Dance with Domination, and Dorian was taking a backseat.
Then Will - or should I say Parker Williams - and I wanted to tie up some loose ends, and into existence came Damian's Discipline.
In the meantime.....
Have you any idea how many emails and messages I was receiving, all wanting to know when Dorian would get his story? Yeah, a lot...
So when I told people that yes, I was finally writing it, I swear I heard the cheer from across the Atlantic.
And here we are. When it was time to decide on the cover, I went back to the website of photographer Terry Cyr, whose photos of real life couple Nate and Zach were used for books #1 and #2. Back then there was only one couple in his Gallery. Now there were three - and all of a sudden I was looking at the THE PERFECT cover. It fit the mood of the book. It fit the relationship between Alan and Dorian. Oh yeah...
The book, Make Me Soar, will be released June 22, and I am really excited, not to mention nervous as hell. This one is... different.
(Yeah, I know, they's all different, but this one....)
So I will be awaiting the verdict with bated breath.
This book has been a long time coming...

Lightning Tales

We all like a story with a slow burn, right?
But sometimes Love work to her own agenda,
striking out of a clear blue sky, no warning...
when we least expect it.
when we never saw it coming.

Lightning Tales are stories of that kind of love.
Starting with the tale of the teacher, stuck in the closet, in denial for years, until he suddenly became aware of one of his students.
Not that he'd have made a move. Some lines you just don't cross.
But seven years later, when things are very different...
What about then?

Teach Me (Lightning Tales #1), out now on ARe, Smashwords, and awaiting release on Amazon.

A taste of Strictly Personal...

Strictly Personal won't be out on Valentine's Day, unfortunately.
It will probably be after the weekend.

SO, to give you a taste of what's to come....

“So…. which one would you like?”
Ed stared at Colin, who met him with a smile. “What?”
Colin pointed to the strippers who were walking around the club, chatting with guys at the bar or at the tables. “Pick the one you’d like to give you a lapdance.” Colin leaned closer. “And just so we’re clear, it will be in a VIP box.” The colored lights caught in his eyes.
Bloody ’ell. Ed couldn’t deny the idea turned him on, but still… He shook his head. “That’d feel a bit weird, to be honest.” It would feel like he was cheating on Colin.
Colin’s smile widened. “Oh, you won’t be alone. I’ll be there too, enjoying it right along with you.” He moved to brush his lips against Ed’s ear, and a shiver rippled through Ed. “Think of it as revving your engine. I want you all hot and bothered, ready for when we get back to our room.”
Ed barked out a laugh. “Since when do I need much encouragement to get ready to fuck you? All I ’ave to do is look at you.” Colin laughed. Ed glanced at the packed club floor, then back to Colin. “You’re serious, aren’t ya?”
Colin nodded. “It’ll be a new experience for both of us, something we wouldn’t do alone. But together? That’s different.” He flicked his head toward the club floor. “So…. choose.”
Ed bit his lip and gazed at the guys who were mingling with the clients. “Nah, they’re all really young, Col. None of ’em do it for me.” He smiled. “You know how I feel about twinks. It was a nice idea, though.”
Colin arched his eyebrows. “Oh? I’d have thought he was just your type.” He gestured with his head and Ed followed the movement. A tall, well-built guy was leaning against the bar, wide chested, lean, taut belly and strong powerful thighs. He seemed older than the others, maybe in his late twenties. He wore a pair of dark blue boxer briefs. And yeah, definitely more Ed’s type.
Fuck, Colin knows my tastes. The realization warmed him. Colin knew him, all of him.
“Well?”
Ed observed the stripper, his mind in a whirl. He still couldn’t believe Colin had even suggested such a thing. He wanted to say yes but he couldn’t get the words out. Suddenly Colin put his arms around him and pulled him close.
“This is just you and me, doing something sexy, something fun. I guarantee all it will be for him is just one more in a long line of lapdances. This is what he does.” Colin kissed him on the mouth. “He’s gonna dance for you and you can touch him anywhere you like, you can—”
“No kissin’,” Ed said abruptly, his heart pounding. Colin met his gaze and nodded. That was something too intimate, too personal. That was just for him and Colin. But the idea of a sexy man dancing for him, Colin there too… He took a deep breath. “Okay, yeah. Him.” He gave a shaky laugh. “You weren’t kiddin’, were ya, when you said you were continuin’ my Ed-ucation?”
Colin tightened his arms around Ed. “And while he’s dancing for you, I’ll be…enjoying myself.” There was a wicked glint in his eyes.
Ed let out a groan. “Fuck, you can be an evil sod sometimes.”

Thursday February 12th:

Colin was feeling distinctly nervous.
He knew why, of course. He wanted this weekend to be perfect.

Ed arrived home that evening, took off his biker jacket and flopped onto the couch. Colin came out of the kitchen, Ed's mug of coffee already in his hand. He passed it to his lover and then bent over to kiss him. Ed hummed into the kiss, curling his hand around Colin's nape. When they parted, Ed sighed heavily. "Sorry I'm so late. I 'ad a few last minute issues turn up an' me an' Rick 'ad to sort 'em out." He took a long drink of his coffee and then sagged into the cushions. "I'm knackered." He closed his eyes, nursing the mug in both hands.
Colin sat beside him. "Then isn't it a good thing you're not at work tomorrow?"
"Eh?" Ed opened one eye. "Whatcha talkin' about?"
Colin grinned. "You have Friday off, because *you* are being taken away for a long weekend."
That made him sit up sharply. "But I just saw Blake this mornin' an' he said--"
Colin chuckled. "That would be the same Blake who knows all about it? The same Blake who recommended the hotel where we're staying?"
It was as if the stresses and strains of the day just melted away.
Ed smiled. "'Ave I told ya recently that you're a bloody marvelous man?"
Colin leaned forward. "No, but I'm sure you'll get the chance to show me this weekend." He winked. "Maybe more than once."

Stop by tomorrow for another sneaky peek into Colin's Valentine's Day plans!
The men from the Personal series are back!
Strictly Personal, out February
