Rate this book
Collars and Book Four

Recently returned to the UK after living in the States since he was eleven, Andrew Barrett is determined to keep busy and make a new life for himself. He works full time as a copywriter and strips at a club on Canal Street on weekends. But it still leaves him too much time to think. Then he finds the BDSM club, Collars & Cuffs, where at twenty-nine, he is their youngest Dom. Young doesn’t mean inexperienced, however. All this activity keeps him focused with no time to dwell on the past. But the past has a way of intruding on the present.

It’s been four long years since Gareth Michaels last set foot inside Collars & Cuffs. But when he finally summons his courage and steps back into his former world, he finds the man who drove him away is still a member, and what's more, he wants Gareth back. Two men in pain need the freedom they find in each other, but it takes another man’s horrific plans to make them see it.

Andrew is a copywritter. He’s new to Manchester. He’s recently found this strip club and works there as a stripper and he’s good at it! It’s just an extra money. Now he just needs a BDSM club, yes, he’s our Dom! A stripper Dom! Before Manchester, he was in Los Vegas but something happened there that made him moved to another country. Something that when he thought about it his heart ached. So, he finds the BDSM club that he wants and because of his good references, he’s welcome to the Collars & Cuffs.

Gareth is a stripper too and he and Andrew both works for the same strip club. Four years ago, Gareth ran away from Collars & Cuffs and never came back there. But now that he met Andrew, he feels something for Andrew. So when he tried more to know him, he finds that Andrew is a member of the Collars & Cuffs and when he went there, he found the reason that made him ran away those years ago still is there!

Well, this story was a bit different with other books in this series and I really enjoyed it even though it had some elements that I usually don’t like in my books. The BDSM part in this book was a bit fade (I mean for both MCs with each other). this book was more focused on MCs’ character. The romantic part was a little. But it was good to see other couples or people from their eyes. I enjoyed it more if the MCs had more interaction with each other, yeah I know, I always want more but still! And the scene that I loved in this book was when Gareth danced in the club to say he wants Andrew! LOVED that part!

Told in multiple POV, 3rd person. It’s the fourth installment in the Collars and Cuffs series but it can be read as a standalone. I really enjoyed this one and hope you like it as well!

This was a great addition to the series. I quite enjoyed the multi-layered character of Andrew, though I could've done with some more of Gareth. The definition of how he was as a submissive was a bit unclear.

Despite all this, the story was super entertaining, with Andrew just demanding the spotlight and keeping it to himself! Leo, as usual, played the most important role of making everything right in the world by using his genius mind-reading power and assuring/supporting everyone in the club!

Pietro and Alex have become quite my favourite characters! I enjoy whenever we get a chance to be with them whenever they take in a new sub into their "puppy pile".

I cannot wait to read more in this series. I've fallen in love with all of the cast, and it gives me pain when I stay away from them for too long.

My only disappointment with this book is that I wasn't really given a chance to connect with Gareth, what with the less number of times for his POV and those then overpowered by Craig's or Andrew's treatment of him. But still an enjoyable read it was.

The Collars and Cuffs men are back! We see Master Leo doting on Alex (book 1) and dolling out advice like the God he is. We see Thomas and Peter (book 2), and even Ben and Scott (book 3). But we don’t see as many interactions between the couples as we did in the three previous books, and this isn’t strictly a BDSM book, as there is only one scene between Andrew and Gareth, the MCs.

Andrew, a Brit who has spent the majority of his life in the States only recently having moved back to Manchester, is dominant but still grieving the loss of his sub and lover. Gareth is a sub who hasn’t been back to Collars and Cuffs for four years following a horrible breakup with his last Master that shook him to the core.

Andrew and Gareth meet at a strip club where they’re both strippers.

No, it’s true.

And, yes, it bothered me (which doesn’t mean it will bother you), because to me those types of interactions with other men are akin to cheating. Both MCs have day jobs, but they strip for fun and cash, and the stripping isn’t exactly for your viewing pleasure only, as the men make a bulk of their money giving very hands-on (and cock-on) lap dances.

The MCs don’t become an item until more than halfway through the book. What comes before isn’t a slow burn as much as it is exposition. The first part of the book is filtered through Andrew’s POV, but once Gareth becomes more integral to the story, we get his POV too, which I really appreciated.

One of my huge pet peeves is seeing one of the MCs have sex on page with someone else, and that happened here. Andrew and Gareth are strictly mates until Gareth “seduces” Andrew with a particularly sexy pole dance. None of this struck me as the best setup for a D/s relationship.

There was also some melodramatic action involving Gareth’s former Master, which was over the top and not properly resolved. The ending was a little rushed as well. The MCs are both still working at the strip club, which bugged me. But that’s my own personal hang-up.

There was much to like here, too. The book was well written, descriptive, and kept my focus. K.C. Wells does a great job fleshing out her characters, and this one was no exception. This was a hot and fun story. I dig the Manchester setting, and I liked seeing the men from the previous books. Plus, the cover is all kinds of sexy!

After my 3 stars rating of the previous book I set my hopes on this one andit was brilliantly done! I think that this book did a great job getting the series back on track and I really loved Gareth and Andrew.

Highly recommended to all the fans of the Collars and Cuffs series!

This book has been out for a little while so like me, you've probably heard that it is different from the other books in the series. Where it differs is that it's not primarily a BDSM story in the true sense of a dominant/submissive relationship and does not feature a heavy D/s relationship between the main characters.

Instead this is the story of a relationship building between two men who work as strippers at a club. Andrew is a Dom and Gareth is submissive but this isn't the crux of their relationship.

The plot follows Andrews integration back into life in Manchester after many years of living in the US. He works as a stripper to supplement his income and allow him to afford membership to Collars & Cuffs. In the early part of the book, we see Andrew's early exploration into the scene at the club (Collars & Cuffs) plus meet the guys who work as strippers at Bliss. It's not until the mid-point of story that Gareth works his magic with a sexy pole dance, that they finally get together.

Throw in some time spent with characters from the previous books plus a dash of drama as the bad guy comes out to play, and it's a nice continuation of the series!

A copy of this book was provided by the author in return for my honest review.

4 stars and a shortie review from me. This was so much better than 'Someone to Keep Me' IMHO, AND quite different in so far as all the characters in this one were experienced in the lifestyle, and although it took quite a while for me to connect with the characters, the writing, KC's trademark British humour and descriptive scenes more than made up for the slowish start.

The seduction scene with Gareth and Andrew was smokin', as was their 'scene' at Collars & Cuffs, and all the detail that KC included about different clubs, different BDSM 'instruments of pleasure/torture', the stripping and pole dancing at Bliss (thank you Clive)...Oh yes, and a lady Domme (my God, forcing this kindle to put new words into its dictionary is hilarious) made for a really entertaining read. Loved that my fave guys Leo & Alex, Thomas & Peter, Pietro & Miles were all really 'hands on' (hehe) in this one, and I for one would definitely like to see more of Madison & Ryder...shower cubicle optional!!

Many thanks KC for the ARC, smooch!!

I’m going to keep it short and sweet.

1) This was very light on the BDSM between the actual two MC’s.
2) In the first THREE HOURS of this book I was still in the dark as to who the actual second MC was going to be.
3) The “villain” and his evil plan in this story were totally ridiculous in my humble opinion.
4) I didn’t like the “hormonal” drama with Gareth. Way to Highs school Musical for my taste.

Positives:

1) I DID like Andrew. His character was interesting with his background in Vegas and his young start on the BDSM path.
2) I of course liked the stripper aspect of the whole thing. Who wouldn’t? And it brought a very interesting aspect to Andrew being a stripper Dom. (Wicked smile)
3) I liked having bits of the old gang in the weave. Little pieces of Leo and Thomas.

I’m not being mean in this review I hope. It just wasn’t impressive to me I’m sorry to say.

This was a fabulous read, and is without a doubt my favourite book in the Collars & Cuffs series. A Dance with Domination felt very different from the previous three novels in the series. I enjoyed the other books, but something about this one just pulled me in and kept me reading to the point where I couldn't do anything else at all until I'd finished it, and when I did have to put it down, it was all I could think about. At first, I think it was the stripper and pole dancing aspect that got me hooked (why yes, I do love stories about strippers), but then it was much more than that. It was the depth of the story, the emotion, the characters (as well as the array of new and interesting secondary characters), the romance, the sex... there wasn't a single part of this story that didn't appeal to me. This book hit all the right notes and kept me wanting more.

Something I really loved was how this wasn't just your typical romance story - which, if I'm honest, is what I had been expected it to be (with a little bit of BDSM thrown in, of course). There was so much more depth to it. I mean, for about the first 20% or so of the book, I didn't even know who Gareth was. The story was very much focused on Andrew, on his life and the issues that he was dealing with. I really liked that. I loved getting to know Andrew. What's more, when we got to meet Gareth and when we saw his first few interactions with Andrew, there was no "insta-love" or instant attraction, and no jumping into bed together straight away. Andrew and Gareth became friends first, which was nice. I like a story that takes its time to develop a relationship between the main characters.

Gareth was a sweetheart. I'd have liked to know more about him outside of his past with Craig (what a bastard, by the way!!), like perhaps having a bit more insight into the relationship with his family (he says he had no one after he came out to his parents, but the issue is left there). Otherwise, I thought he was a great character. I loved how fidgety and unfocused he was, until Andrew took control. It was very endearing and sweet.

My absolute favourite scene was when Gareth (or should I say Darius?) did a rather special routine on stage at Bliss to get Andrew's attention. And oh boy, did it work out well for him ;) And seriously, he danced to Prince's "Kiss." I bloody love that song (huge Prince fan right here!) and I could picture the scene so perfectly in my head. It was so incredibly hot *fans self*!! And then when they finally spend the night together... Gahh! It was hot and sweet and so perfect that it made my heart ache.

Also, this story made me cry a little. There was one particular scene that had me tearing up before I could stop myself, and then I was sitting in my room, Kindle in my lap, sniffling and wiping away a few stray tears. You'll know what part I mean when you read it. The whole "lost love" issue is something that gets me every time, and boy did it feel like I'd been punched in the heart when I read certain parts of this story.

It was also really lovely to see many of the characters from the previous books. Leo, Alex, Thomas, Peter, Miles, Pietro, Ben and Scott. They all seem so happy!! It's just so cute and makes my heart flutter! But here's the thing. We need to discuss Dorian. I can't seem to get him out of my head. Will we ever get a Dorian story? Because I think I need that. Like, seriously, I need a Dorian story in my life ;) And I wouldn't object to seeing a bit more of Andrew and Gareth a few months down the line, perhaps with a quick insight into their life together after they've moved in. It's not that the ending isn't nice as it is, but I'd like to see what happens next (but honestly, I always wish for more when I finish a great story like this one).

So yes, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to fans of the genre. It's a beautifully written story that will make your heart flutter and leave you with a smile on your face. Once again, KC Wells has written such a wonderful and passionate story that I just know I'll be re-visiting. I'll stop rambling now :)

Note: I was lucky enough to be provided with an ARC of A Dance with Domination by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thanks so much, KC!

I was very privileged to receive an advanced copy of this wonderful book by K.C Wells. A Dance with Domination does not disappoint. I could not have received a better present over the weekend. K.C Wells is a master at creating a world you can’t help but fall in love with. I enjoyed every word from the first page to the last. And as usual, I got to the end and I just can’t wait for the next book. In fact I am going to go back and read the first three books again.

What I love about the Collars and Cuffs universe is that every book offers you something different and wonderful. These books are about the development of relationship and the love between two men. The dynamics are personal, emotional and sexual. The BDSM aspect only adds a layer to this brilliant world.

This book has a beautiful and sensual warm up. You get to know the characters and are shown their world as they see it. There is a tease of information about Andrew and Gareth’s past that pulls you in and demands you stay until you are satisfied. It is the perfect accompaniment to a story about a man who is all about giving sensation to those that sub for him. The development is warm and well-paced. Before Andrew and Gareth come together you have the opportunity to love them individually.

Andrew is a delightful combination of dancer and Dom. Andrew’s interaction with other men are tempting, perfect and hot. Gareth is a wonderful combination of sexy dancer and uncertain boy. Together they perfect. Both men are well rounded characters who add to the characters we met in earlier books. I love Leo, he gives you warm feelings as he meddles in the lives of Andrew and Gareth. The glimpse you see of Thomas makes you smile and all of the other characters from previous books are heart-warming.

A Dance with Domination gave me a warm happy feeling and I smiled through most of the book. It goes straight onto my favourite re-reads list. K.C. Wells is a brilliant author and if you haven’t read this wonderful series you should start right now!

Review Excerpt:

If I had never ever read a BDSM novel in my whole life, A Dance With Domination would have scared me, probably scarred me for life. Then again, I would have become curious as to what this lifestyle would be all about, especially after being tutored to the differences between hetero and gay BDSM practices. This fourth installment to the Collars and Cuffs series may just be the most graphic of all the books, but it is written with such finesse and love, it practically oozes romance from every word written.

WARNING: Vulgar language and NSFW depictions below. Spoiler warning.

This one might sound a little rushed, but I wanted to write this review while it was still fresh.

Starting with Andrew, because that is a man after my heart. And as the MC in this lovely novel, he definitely did his job. Right from the beginning I knew he was going to be a great MC to follow. I do have to say, I was completely shocked when Andrew turned out to be a stripper himself.

images-3.jpeg

Come on, lets be honest here. Andrew the Dom is hot.

- Gareth

And then his first scene at Collars & Cuffs, oh hot daaamn. At first I thought Dorian was supposed to be his match made in heaven, with the way the boy responded to him in his Collars & Cuffs audition scene, but the constant focus on Bliss (the strip club) had me doing double takes. Until about 40%, I wasn't entirely too sure who Andrew was going to end up with... and I have to say, not knowing the outcome? It only made me love him 10x more. (It probably didn't help that I kept getting Gareth's stage name confused with Dorian Forrester from Collars & Cuffs...) But lets face it, his scenes with Dorian were hot af.

"I will let you come, boy. But you're going to hold back your orgasm until you feel that you can't stand it another second." He winked. "And even then I'll push you just a little further."

20a002971fc229b914b9176dbc0ba775

I decided not to read the blurb on this one since I'd read all of the books in the series up to this one (which I'm hoping to review soon), and I obviously knew I'd love it (thank you K.C. Wells). But reading through this one, knowing that I didn't have any more information than Andrew did? It made me feel closer to him as a character. That's a tactic I hope to employ more in the future.

14674416647749

And Gareth, ugh, where do I begin with this boy? The fidgety little sub who needs some focus in his life. Gareth was everything I thought a stripper at Bliss would be.

"So use your skills, honey. Work that gorgeous body. Drive the man out. Of.  His. Mind."

- Madison

It was also nice to see a difference in characters. It's obvious to me that K.C. Wells creates completely different personas and reactions/responses that are connected to them. After reading about Leo Hart in An Unlocked Heart (Collars & Cuffs #1), Peter in Trusting Thomas (Collars & Cuffs #2), and Scott Keating in Someone to Keep Me (Collars & Cuffs #3), I was shocked to see yet another book in this series centered around major loss and trauma. I honestly expected them all to blend together as the same characters by this point... but each character seems to have had a completely unique reaction. And I loved the strength and determination Gareth responded with when he knew he had Andrew with him.

And that scene in the skybox...

Damn-hot-fanning-

Need I say more?

Every single scene in this book was delicious beyond words. It was pretty obvious from the beginning that Andrew knew how to work a crowd, in or out of a scene. But it was his skill in Shibari that hooked me.

Hell.

tumblr_ncwtgztyJZ1ts5cvco1_500

Yes.

This book completely destroyed me.

Oh, God, but I loved you in that moment.

And now that I'm done, God, I just feel... raw. Most of this one was pretty sweet, and it was definitely a slow start, but the last 4-5 pages left me feeling like someone had laid me bare and was snapping off my ribs to get to my heart. Throughout this book, I'd somewhat come to love Andrew, and the way he remembered Brian, fuck! I'd be honestly surprised if K.C. Wells didn't know exactly how it felt to lose a lover.

He raised his glass to the photo. "Here we are, love. November 22 finally got here."

Tears.gif

This is one of those books that you have to pause after and just collect your thoughts, not because it's confusing or hard to understand, but because the raw emotion of it is entirely too taxing.

Well done, K.C. Wells. Well done.

Now you just need to jump on that book about Madison and Ryder... like, pronto. That shower scene was hawt.

Well, this was enjoyable in some ways... In others, not so much.
I think I chose the wrong moment to read this.

I skimmed A LOT of the first half because the build-up to Gareth and Andrew's relationship was too slow: not enough interactions between them, too much Bliss and outside stuff happening. Also, I didn't like that we only got Gareth's POV later on.

The one thing I did enjoy was the fact that there was a bit of deviation from the usual "sub in danger" trope I've come to expect from this series. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE that trope, but I appreciated seeing Andrew in a more vulnerable position (and also, I appreciated the realistic way the authors dealt with his grief and how they portrayed it as an "ongoing battle", and not something you can get over as soon as you meet somebody else; so kudos for that).
Leo, as usual, completely owned my heart: he's my favourite.

All in all, I think I probably should have waited for a better moment to read this; I'm so impatient to reach Dorian's book, but maybe I should just skip ahead to it. We'll see!!

This book had a very different tone and feel than the first two I've read (2 and 3), and it certainly surpassed the previous one.

We start out by being introduced to Andrew Barrett, a Brit who has recently moved back to the UK from Atlanta and is employed as a copy writer but looking for a second job to make extra cash. An experienced stripper, he auditions for the bar's owner and is hired on the spot. Then we find out that Andrew is also a Dom and interested in joining Collars and Cuffs, one of the local BDSM clubs.

The first half of the book deals with establishing Andrew as a character, as we get to reconnect with the previous books' characters, such as Thomas (book 2) and Leo (Book 1), as well as Ben (Book 3), and their respective partners. We're also introduced to Gareth Michaels, who works in the same strip club as Andrew, and who used to be a sub and member of C&C but hasn't been back in four years after his last D/s relationship ended badly.

With skill and precision, KC Wells creates the background for the developing relationship between Andrew and Gareth, even though we don't get to see the bulk of their interactions until after the 2nd half.

I found it interesting how both Andrew and Gareth were able to mostly separate their working relationship from their personal relationship, including the D/s relationship they enter into by the end of this book. What I also liked in this book was the hurt/comfort aspect, with Andrew's grief from losing his previous lover/sub, no matter how long it had been at that point. I thought that the author did a very good job separating the needs of the Dom and the man from the grief of the lover, meaning he could be a Dom and he could have sex with another man, but not at the same time, as that was something he kept sacred as part of the grieving process. When Andrew reaches the acceptance phase of his grief, and reaches out to Gareth, I might have shed a tear.

What I also very much appreciated was the exposition on the differences between gay D/s and het D/s - that was a fascinating lesson and completely rang true. I'm not in the lifestyle, so my personal knowledge is limited to what I've learned from other books and the interwebz, but Andrew's insights seemed logical and realistic.

Even though there are only a few sexual scenes between Andrew and Gareth, and only one that shows them in their D/s roles, it fit the circumstances of this story, and I didn't need more than what we were given. I liked the hopeful ending, and was happy that both men got another chance at happiness.

What bothered me, and the reason for my not giving more than 4 stars, was the unresolved side plot with Craig Fox, Gareth's former Dom, who's portrayed as a spoiled asshole and then turns into a sociopath. The abduction and attempt to terminate Andrew was a bit far-fetched for my taste, and the people involved in this endeavor were made to look like bumbling fools. I didn't appreciate the fact that this entire plotline was ultimately dropped without a real resolution.

As a side note: I don't usually pay attention to covers all that much. Some are nice to look at, and some are not, but normally, my reading choices are based on the blurbs, not the covers. In this particular case, the cover puzzled me because the guy seems to be suspended midair, with only his legs around a stripper pole that seems to go halfway through his ass, and his hands grabbing on to nothing. I didn't figure out what bothered me so much until I saw the same image of the man with his legs and hands wrapped around silken rope, which fit the position seamlessly, unlike the pole used in this image.

In conclusion, this 4th installment of this series was much better than Book 3 (which I didn't like much because Ben is an ass for most of it), and on par with the emotional connection I made with Book 2. I haven't read the first book (Leo and Alex), but I feel that I know enough of their story through the other books. KC Wells does a great job pulling the reader into the story, and skillfully creates fully dimensional primary characters that you can't help but care about.

I don't know if this is the last of the series, or if there's more to come from the Collars and Cuffs club, but if it's the latter, count me in.

If you have been reading the Collars & Cuffs series, you will notice a definite difference in the latest book, A Dance With Domination. Where the previous books focused on experienced, older Doms introducing young, inexperienced subs to the scene, this latest installment is a story of two experienced members of the BDSM community, overcoming past experiences to find what they have been missing. There is also a big difference in the BDSM play that is introduced. What hasn’t changed is the introduction of some sweet and sexy characters into a world built on love and acceptance.

The first part of the book really focuses on getting to know Andrew, a man of many talents who has returned to Manchester after spending a good portion of his life in the US. Mild mannered copywriter by day, sexy stripper by night and just to shake things up even more, he is an experienced Dom specializing in Shibari and sensory play. He soon finds himself a member at Collars & Cuffs and although he is harboring a secret that has him keeping his scene partners at a distance, he soon becomes a favorite at the club, even managing to have an unexpected effect on resident pain slut Dorian.

Gareth is a fellow stripper at Bliss and along with co-worker Madison, finds himself fast friends with Andrew. Gareth is a submissive and finds himself drawn to Andrew. After learning his is a Dom at Collars & Cuffs, Gareth returns there for the first time in four years.

Both men have had difficult experiences that have left them unable to move on emotionally. Collars & Cuffs co-owner Leo (An Unlocked Heart) plays a big part in helping the two sort out their feelings, having been through a similar situation as Andrew finds himself in and having witnessed the poor, heartbreaking, treatment Gareth received in the past. Of course, even if they sort out their own heads, things aren’t going to be easy as Gareth’s former Dom is still a member of the club and has once again set his sights on the man, which immediately raises Andrew's suspicions and sends him straight into protector mode.

The story has a slow build where we get to know Andrew and Gareth as friends, long before they act on their feelings, but let me say when Gareth puts his mind to seducing Andrew, my Kindle nearly melted! K.C. Wells never fails to turn up the heat in her books and this one was no exception.

I loved the unique casting of Andrew as a stripper by choice as well as a Dom, as I’ve never come across that scenario in a book before. I also found the discussion of the differences between gay and pansexual BDSM clubs to be a bit of an eye opener. Gareth was such a sweetheart of a character that I would have liked just a bit more background outside of his BDSM past, although the scene he recalls about losing his former Dom played out so vividly in my head it hurt.

It was nice to get a glimpse of the couples introduced in the prior books and see that they are all happy and moving forward with their relationships. Even the bratty Dorian appears to be growing up a bit. Perhaps he just needs a strong Dom to call his own (wouldn’t that make a good story *hint*). It was even fun to see Max (Love Lessons Learned) in a brief cameo appearance getting a payoff for his persistence in cruising the clubs. The book is well written, with a mix of drama, humor and plenty of hot scenes between the men of the two clubs (I for one wouldn't mind a further peek at Madison and Ryder in or out of a shower). If you are a fan of the series I absolutely recommend picking this one up. If you haven’t read any of the prior stories, this easily works as a standalone.

Thanks to K.C. Wells for providing a copy of this book for review.

'A Dance With Domination' is book four in K.C. Wells's wildly popular 'Collars and Cuffs' series. It's certainly a favorite series of mine as it revolves around a BDSM club and has some of the best characters that I've read in a very long time. The writing is wonderful, the storylines are strong, the sex is hot, and the men are incredible. Truly? What more could you ever want?

The very first thing about Andrew that really appealed to me was how much he reminded me of Leo and Thomas. Andrew might be a very young Dom, at twenty-nine, but he already has a fascinating and very unique set of life experiences upon which to draw from. Andrew has just returned to the UK after years of living in the States and he's very interested in becoming a member of Collars and Cuffs. His daytime job is as a copywriter, he's just snagged a weekend stripping job, and after his initial meeting with Leo and then acceptance as a member, life is going very well. Andrew's interview scene, so to speak, really impresses Thomas and Leo as Andrew is very knowledgeable regarding Shibari and it's a skill not seen in their club.

Interestingly enough, Andrew meets Gareth for the first time, not at Collars and Cuffs, but at Bliss where Gareth also performs as a stripper. Andrew has noticed Gareth at Bliss only because Gareth always seems very nervous and fidgety, until he gets under the lights and dances. When Gareth asks Andrew for help with his lap dancing skills, Andrew employs his firm Dom skills to center the boy and Andrew recognizes a sub when he sees one. Of course Andrew is in no way looking for a relationship of any kind, certainly not after the trauma in his own past. Gareth figures out that Andrew is a Dom and realizes that's part of his attraction to the man. It is to explore these feelings that Gareth returns to Collars and Cuffs after four long years when he knows his own personal nightmare might be waiting.

Oh wow. As much as I have loved and adored each of the previous three books, there is something extra special about this installment. Perhaps it was because Andrew and Gareth were friends and co-workers first at Bliss, and that's where their attraction spilled over. Maybe it's the stunning protectiveness they each showed toward the other. It's such a wonderful love story of two men trying to put their past hurts behind them and open themselves up to loving again.

It was so much fun to watch Andrew get to know all my favorite people, Leo and Alex, Ben and Scott, Miles and Pietro, and Thomas and Peter. It's one of my favorite parts of a series when I get the chance to re-interact with former much loved characters! Even better was watching Andrew put that jackalope of a Dom, Gareth's former master, in his place, front and center. Ah, I love to see the smarmy guy get what he deserves! Well, K.C., you've done it again. I loved it. You've introduced a number of new people so now I'm on pins and needles to discover whose story will be next. Thank you!

This book has one of the most beautiful covers I have ever seen. Just look at that guy… gorgeous…

4th book in the Collars & Cuffs series and this one was a little different than the others. I really liked the first half of this book, but the second half was a bit disappointing….

Andrew just moved back from the US after having spent most of his life there. But being raised in Bristol he doesn’t mind moving back to the UK when his work requires him to.
He is a copywriter by day and a stripper by night, but the only thing missing in his life is a good BDSM club to satisfy his inner Dom.
That is how he ends up at Collars & Cuffs. After giving a demonstration, Leo and Thomas welcome him with open arms and he now has a place to be the Dom he wants to be.
He likes working with the other strippers at the strip club and it is not long before he notices one of the other strippers, Gareth. Gareth is a stripper, but also a submissive… he hasn’t been to Collars & Cuffs in 4 years, after being dumped by his old Dom. But all of this changes after he sees Andrew entering Collars & Cuffs one night. Does he have the nerve to go there and embrace his submissive side once again?

In the previous 3 books the subs were rather the same, the shy younger boys who were hurt in the past. And the Dom who would take care of them. This is not the case in this book. Gareth and Andrew are friends first and then Dom and sub. They are just happy to find out they could be sharing the BDSM world with each other. But they remain Andrew and Gareth and not Sir and boy. There is little BDSM between them in this book. They play one scene at the end, but that’s it. It was very refreshing, I liked it! These guys were so good together. No one was needy and no one had to take care of the other one. Gareth could hold his own. They were so hot together! My e-reader almost went up in flames when Gareth does his strip act to seduce Andrew.

I really liked the first half. It had this slow burn which I really loved. We get to know Andrew and his life before he even meets Gareth. In the first half these two have one conversation and that’s it. So I was hoping for more of the same in the rest of the book, but of course that was not possible, there were just too little pages left. After Gareth and Andrew show their interest in each other the author decides that we don’t have all day, so she just stuffs as many events possible in the second half. We have Andrew and Gareth’s slow blossoming love, we have their Dom and sub side to explore, we have Gareth’s old Dom threatening Gareth, we have that same Dom kidnapping and trying to kill Andrew and we have Andrew trying to overcome his grief for his previous sub who was killed 4 years ago. And all of that in a 100 pages. So something had to give and unfortunately it was the relationship. These two were just getting to know each other before the angsty stuff starts. Even at the end, there are no declarations of love, just a very tentative start of the relationship. And that after the promising start… I was hoping for my own kind of subspace with this book, but I never got there... It was frustrating..

Okay, can I just tell you how much I loved Andrew's character? Since starting this series I've really enjoyed most of the characters, they've all be complex, intriguing and constantly evolving. Andrew is no different, and he brings some pretty interesting talents to the table. I was already a fan of Shibari before reading this story, and I love that Andrew brings his expertise in this to the club. The first quarter or so of the book concentrates on his character, giving us a great look into his depth and personality.

Gareth was sweet and I think once you read this you'll agree that his former Dom, Craig, was the classic example of an undeserving jackass. Once I discovered Gareth's backstory, the tugging at my heart was in full force. I really liked how Andrew was able to keep Gareth settled-the two of them really complemented each other. Things between Gareth and Andrew were incredibly sensual, and watching their relationship come together made for a truly enjoyable read.

One of the things that really grabbed my attention was his "interview" scene at Collars & Cuffs that he did with Dorian. I found this sensory play scene more erotic than anything that's been presented so far in the series (and boy did that scene put some ideas in my head), and its effect on Dorian now has my attention piqued for his story...I mean, REALLY piqued. Another attention grabber was Gareth's dance scene that was aimed at Andrew. Holy wow. If the heat between them wasn't so obvious before, that scene just totally dialed things up way past explosive in no time flat.

I loved this story, and Andrew has become one of my favorite Doms of this series. A Dance with Domination was a 4.5-star read for me, and I highly recommend this to fans of the genre. As with this entire series, this is for readers 18+ for adult language and explicit erotic M/M sexual content.

Very different from the previous three books in the series, this fourth volume is about two men building a relationship without BDSM at the center of it. Yes, BDSM plays a role, and Andrew is a Dom. But neither is the primary reason these men get together, at least not initially. It was interesting to see their interplay and how they incorporated BDSM in the end, but at the core of this story is Andrew and how he deals with his life, especially when Gareth comes into the picture. I liked how they started out as friends and took the time to develop their relationship.

Andrew may only be twenty-nine, but he has good experience as a Dom and a “great way with knots”. Shibari is his thing, and he uses it to great advantage. It also means his approach to BDSM isn’t necessarily sexual, and that works well when he meets Gareth. Involvement is not high on his list due to his past, but Gareth sort of sneaks in. Very well done!

Gareth is a man who needs rules to help him deal with life, but the man he as been looking to previously turned out to be a total bast*ard, so Gareth is understandably hesitant. And when the “ghost” from his past he was afraid of comes back to haunt him, it’s all hands on deck for the guys from Collars & Cuffs. I love how they’re all there to help, and how Gareth realizes not all Doms are like the one who haunts him.

If you like the Collars & Cuffs series and its slightly differing style from book to book, if you enjoy stories where the relationships develops slowly, and if you’re looking for a read with great tension and lots of hot man-on-man action, the you will probably enjoy this novel.

Oh Holy Baby Jesus KC Wells is a brilliant author! Okay this is the fourth book in the series and let me tell you I have never laughed so hard and cried so much reading a book. Gareth and Andrew’s story is so amazing that you can’t put the book down. I mean I started reading it on my kindle and I could not put it down. I did not want to stop reading it because it had so many facets to it that I could not figure out what was going to happen the next second.

Gareth is a sub whose contract ended and he did not take on another Dom. He was so heartbroken because he loved his Master and wanted to renew his contract but his Master wanted someone younger and trainable. So Gareth got a job in a retail store and started stripping to supplement his income. He stayed in touch with Leo and Thomas at first but then stopped when he realized he was not going to go back to Collar and Cuffs. So he made new friends and started stripping and kept to himself. That was until he met Master Andrew.

Andrew lived in the UK but moved to the United States with his parents. A tragedy happened to him and he decided he would move back to the UK. When he meets Gareth something sparks there between them but Andrew has been hurt and he is closed off and so has Gareth. So what happens when the two off them realize they do care for one another? Will Gareth and Andrew break through the barriers and become a couple or will they let their past hurts dictate what is going to happen to them in the end……..

During the first half of the book, I was so curious to know about Andrew and Gareth’s background. But when they were revealed it made me a little disappointed; I found it somehow similar to the first book in the series, Leo and Alex’s story.

The two MCs start noticing each other quite late, and that made little space for their relationship to build up. First, when Andrew goes to the Collars and Cuffs club, we see that Dorian is chosen as his sub, and Andrew performs two or three scenes with him. This made me interested in Dorian as a sub, and the fact that he wasn’t the main character in the book was bothering me. I wanted such character exploration about Gareth instead, like, I don’t know, some flashbacks to his life with Craig. I really liked Gareth but I think he was not fully developed, and that was a pity, I found the book more about Andrew than him.

The fact that Andrew and Gareth started to be friends first was SO sweet, but I’d have loved it more if their sexual interest and finally their love grew more slowly.

This is the story of a young Dom named Andrew Barrett who comes back to live in the UK after a number of years in the States. He works as a copywriter, but moonlights as a stripper. Life settles into a comfortable routine, but he is missing something. Andrew also notices one of his fellow strippers, Gareth Michaels, a sweet guy that never seems to be unable to keep still. The quarter drops when Andrew, as a Dom, realizes that Gareth is a sub.

To his delight, Andrew discovers Collars and Cuffs. There he becomes the youngest Dom to work at the club. To my delight one of my favorite characters, Leo plays a big part in Andrew's new life.

This is sweet romantic story about loss, survival, love and finding where you belong. I give it a lap dance full of stars. If you are bothered by BDSM, please don't read this. Save all of us your disapproval.

This book wasn't bad, but I was very frustrated by how little time the MCs spent on page together; they barely held a conversation until 45% of the way into the story, and even then Andrew seemed to interact more with just about every other person in the book - Leo, his boss at Bliss, his boss at the copy editing place, Pietro (even Craig for goodness sakes!) - than he did with Gareth. A book's secondary characters are necessary to create a rich story, but they shouldn't pull the focus from the reason I picked up the book in the first place.

The whole OTT climax of the book just wasn't to my taste either. I hate when books that are otherwise set in reality go Days of Our Lives for no apparent reason.

Now I find this book got me back on track.
Andrew and Gareth is hot they both danced in a club called bliss then found eachother at the local bdsm club where Gareth once thought of as home. Then events happened and he left but as Andrew got close something pulled him in.

Andrew is a work of art and goes beyond the senses when your within his scene.
Power is at his fingers and he's right for Gareth who fits him right.

This installent was better than book #3, but book #1 still my favorite. It was nice seen the other characters.

I wanted Garett to play a bigger role in the story earlier. We got a better oportunity to learn more about Andrew. I think that the problem with Craig was solved too quickly.

Overall, a good book.

Now I want to read Dorian's story.
