Bat-Winged Humanoid Observed Behind Schaumburg, Illinois Catholic Church
A man and his cousin were walking along E. Schaumburg Rd and decided to play Pokemon Go in the open area behind a local church. He then noticed a huge pair of wings and a humanoid body ascend into the sky.
I received the following account on 10/16/2020:
"Hello, I was just reading an article on Facebook about the Illinois mothman bat creature. I recently just saw something that matched that description over in Schaumburg, Illinois. It happened just two nights ago.
My cousin and I were walking around the area over by a church. We were playing Pokemon Go and right before we walked up a path, there was an open meadow with tall street lights shining at the opening into the grassy area. I happened to notice two big black wings flap a few times then take off, and it actually passed through the lights of the street lamps and I could tell it wasn't a bird but more like a bat! I could see the light through the membrane wings as well. But then I thought how could that be a bat? It was huge! I'm talking like a wingspan of about 12 ft or more! I've never seen anything like it before." TH
I called the witness very soon after receiving the email:
TH states that he and his cousin occasionally played Pokemon Go. So as they were walking near his cousin's residence (was at cousin's residence in Schaumburg) they were passing the St. Matthew Parish located at 951 E. Schaumburg Rd. It was approximately 7:30 pm (Weds. October 14th). As they walked to the back of the parish, TH noticed the black wings flapping and then the entire humanoid body, which he estimates at 6 ft. in height. He noticed the light from the street lamp emanate through the bat-like membrane wings. It quickly ascended in the night's sky.
It's interesting to note that TH lives in Carol Stream, Illinois where there were 2 sightings recently. The northwest suburbs of Chicago, including O'Hare International Airport, has been a particularly active area for winged humanoid sightings in the past year or so.

News & Notes: Huge Pale Emaciated Humanoid Seen in Monroeville, Alabama Woods
A teen was walking along the road near their house when they noticed a huge pale emaciated humanoid watching them from the woods. What could this be?
The following account was recently forwarded to me:
"I want to describe an encounter with 'something.' I'm not quite sure what it was. I had gotten into an argument with my mom about the 'hat man' entity that was leaning over me while I slept on the couch, something my sister informed me of the following day. A lot of weird stuff has happened in this house. But, that wasn't the encounter. No, it was after the argument.
I was walking out of the house, down the road which we were surrounded by woods and a small swamp is behind our place. I was walking along road which is side to side a wooded area. Not many people come down where we were. So I was listening to music while on my walk and I felt like something was watching me. I live in Monroeville, Alabama, not a place you figure something would be watching you. Nobody came in our woods. Not ever.
I looked over and there I saw it. It was hunched over and huge. It had pale features and was so skinny that I could see it's ribcage. The thing that freak me the most was its mask like face. It didn't wear a mask but its face had bizarre mask-like features. The only reason why I say its face wasn't wearing a mask was because I could see its mouth perfectly. It had dark eyes. I thought it had eye bags but not really sure. I heard a branch crunch under its hands? It reminded me of a human but all wrong in many ways.
Can you give me an explanation as to that this is? No one in my family believes me. Could it be connected to the weird activity in the house?" DB

Biped Cryptid Wolf Sighting / Evidence in Pictou County, Nova Scotia
A sighting of a biped cryptid wolf chasing a deer and an eviscerated cow in Pictou County, Nova Scotia raised concerns that a 'werewolf' was in the area.
I recently received the following information:
"There was a supposed werewolf sighting in Glengarry, Nova Scotia in Pictou County on the 1st Sunday in March 2012. Robert MacLean was driving home from a party in town around 2:00 am in the morning when a deer ran across the road about 50 yards in front of him."It zipped across the road from the left side to the right down over a steep embankment, moving as fast as anything I have ever seen." stated Robert. He later added "... a second later, a big animal chased after the deer, but just before tumbling into the crevasse, it stood on its back legs and stared into the headlights, its eyes glowing, and then was gone."
This wasn't the only evidence that was found that weekend. A local farmer found a cow dead in the field behind his barn, completely eviscerated with huge chunks of meat missing, and large bloody tracks leading off into the woods.
It is important to note that Glengarry does not have a large population, mostly scattered houses surrounded by woods. It is an area where only a few people hunt, as hunters constantly complain about a feeling of 'being watched'.
A survey of the area around the possible sighting site turned up a few deer tracks and a reddish smear just off the road, down over the bank, but a sample could not be taken due to the steep nature of the area" BR

Besides the Bell, Convair, Martin and United Aircraft-Sikorsky Helicopter Division, in late 1955, we discover that Lear, Inc. of Santa Monica, one of the world’s largest builders of automatic pilots for airplanes; Clarke Electronics of Palm Springs, California, a pioneer in its field, and the Sperry-Rand Corporation of Great Neck, Long Island, which was then doing important work in the development of guided missiles and Earth satellites for the Department of Defense, also had scientists investigating the problem of an developing an anti-gravity propulsion device.
European Expertise Brought Onboard
In the 20 November 1955 issue of the European edition of the New York Herald Tribune newspaper, Ansel E. Talbert, its Military and Aviation Editor, informed us that Martin Aircraft had recently put under contract two of Europe’s leading authorities on theories of gravitation and electromagnetic fields: Dr. Burkhard Heim of Goettingen University in Germany and Dr Pascual Jordan of Hamburg University, also in Germany. At the time, Goettingen University was perceived as being on the cutting edge of aerodynamics and physics with its faculty scientists making many outstanding discoveries in these areas, all of which Dr. Heim played a leading role. Dr. Heim worked for Germany’s Bureau of Standards during World War II and firmly believed that gravity can be overcome. Although he lost his eyesight and hearing, and even had both arms blown off at the elbows during the war as the result of a rocket explosion, he dictated his theories and mathematical calculations to his wife. As for the accomplishments of Dr. Jordan, he was the Max Planck Medal winner for his important paper, “Gravity and the Universe,” which had excited scientists and researchers around the world as to the emerging possibilities from new breakthroughs in the study of anti-gravity.

George S. Trimble, Jr., the vice-president in charge of advanced design planning at Martin, was then building in Maryland, just to the north of Washington, D.C., a new laboratory for the Research Institute for Advanced Study, where Dr. Heim and Dr. Jordan could supervise the conduct of a theoretical investigation into the implications for future gravity research in the “unified field theory” of the late Dr. Albert Einstein.
The general manager of the new facility, Welcome Bender, told the journalist Talbert that, “This new facility would have no connection with the day-to-day business of building airplanes.” At the time, early pioneers of UFO investigation found that hard to believe.

In September 1961, at his Pasadena, California, home, Honey revealed that, “I had been present with Adamski when various representatives of the government or the military were at his residence asking for information. I still back up his original contact claims and was with him on one of them.”

The well-known California contactee George Adamski pondered the question of, “Why would the government and a consortium of wealthy industrialists finance the construction of such a scientific institute with such lofty aims and expect nothing in return for their investment?” Adamski frequently told audiences that came to his Venus presentations that he knew of the debris from three crashed saucers, two that went down in New Mexico and the other one in Sonora, Mexico, that were retrieved by reconnaissance teams from the Air Force Office of Scientific Investigations (AFOSI). The crashed saucers were supposedly being back-engineered and rebuilt in a hangar at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. Perhaps these German specialists could fill AFOSI in some of the details of the propulsion systems onboard the recovered extraterrestrial scout ships.
Perhaps to dispel such speculation, Talbert made it a point in his groundbreaking article to state that, “Up to now, no scientist or engineer- so far as is known in scientific circles- has produced the slightest alternation in the magnitude or direction of gravitational ‘force,’ although many cranks and crackpots have claimed to be able to do this with ‘perpetual motion machines.’
“There is no scientific knowledge or generally accepted theory about the speed with which it travels across interplanetary space, making any two material particles or bodies, if free to move, accelerate toward each other.”
Intensive Efforts Behind the Scenes
Something really amazing and wonderful was going on behind the scenes. By the start of 1956, it was apparent that the efforts of the business, defense and scientific community in the United States to understand gravity and universal gravitation at both the subatomic and universal levels, were starting to yield results. The enthusiastic backing of the nation’s physicists, as well as those imported from Europe to work on these projects, provides ample evidence of tremendous developments already afoot.
Keep in mind that Dr. Edward Teller of the University of California, the scientist who was primarily credited with developing the hydrogen bomb; Dr. J. Robert Oppenheimer, director of the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton University; Dr. Freeman J. Dyson, theoretical physicist at the same institute, and Dr. John Wheeler, professor of physics at Princeton, gentlemen who also worked on the Manhattan Project and the equations of nuclear fission, felt very sure that if then current team of scientists working on gravitational research could take the same cooperative approach that they did in uncovering the secrets of the atom, then it was a surety that their pure research into the secrets of gravity would be highly successful, far exceeding the broadening of human knowledge. Perhaps their investigations might even propel humankind to the stars!

News & Notes: Tall Winged Humanoid Observed by 4 Witnesses Near Nuclear Plant in LaSalle County, Illinois
4 witnesses report observing a 'tall man with wings' while fishing near a nuclear power plant in Marseilles, Illinois in LaSalle County.
The following report was received by Manuel Navarette at UFO Clearinghouse:

"I was out bass fishing with my buddy and his son and another friend over at the cooling pond near the power plant south of Seneca. It was very warm that day and we decided to take the chance to get some late season fishing done before it got too cold to be out on the water. We were at our usual spot over by one of the barriers, about a mile and half from the boat launch where the water is about 15 feet deep.
We were sitting around talking and casting our lines, it was about six pm and we were just about to wrap it up for the day and head on back to the house. My buddy’s son saw it first and said look at that big bird over there! We all looked to see this thing fly over the top of us, it must have been 20-30 feet up in the air and it was moving silently. It wasn’t squawking and making noise like a flock of goose would and it was barely moving its wings. We watched it as it flew over us and in the direction of the power plant, and we seen that it looked like a tall man with really big wings.
It flew off toward the plant without making any changes in its path until it was out of sight. We saw nothing else after that and we decided that it was enough for us to call it a day and head back to the launch before the sun went down."

The Lunenburg, Nova Scotia Werewolf
An interesting account from colonial Nova Scotia involving a man who supposedly transformed into a werewolf and eventually killed his baby daughter. He was convicted of murder, and later committed suicide in jail.
The following account was sent to me by a colleague in Nova Scotia:
This account was written by author Theodore Hennigar and published in the 'Progress Enterprise' on April 12, 1963.The account begins in December 1755 when a French girl named Nanette managed to escape into the woods after British troops had invaded and destroyed the village where she lived in the Cornwallis Valley, now the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia.
After a period of wandering, she came upon a Mi'kmaq settlement where she was taken in, cared for and treated as one of their own.
Days later, Nanette appeared with a female Mi'kmaq elder at a small German settlement on the outskirts of present-day Lunenburg where they encountered an old woman who took an immediate liking to the young girl, expressing a desire to adopt her.
An agreement was struck and, after Nanette was traded for a crimson handkerchief, she again was back in a white family where she grew into "a charming young woman with a beautiful face, manner, amiable disposition and a magnetic power of making friends among both young and old."
While those qualities attracted a variety of suitors, Nanette's affections fell to one Hans Gerhardt, "a finely built German lad of the community who had a particular temper."
The two married, and for a time enjoyed an idyllic marriage in which they were "extremely devoted to each other."
Soon they were blessed with a baby daughter, an event which, rather than enhancing their affections for each other, had a strangely opposite effect.
"It seemed Hans was incapable of understanding the love of Nanette for her daughter," Mr. Hennigar wrote. "He became jealous and moody, falling into violent fits of temper over nothing, feeding his peculiar mind with fuel for the fires of self-pity which raged within."
Occupied with her newborn child, Nanette did not realize for some time that something was amiss with her husband. When she finally did, she took it for granted that he had become ill, perhaps from working too hard on their farm.
Hans then began to display even more erratic behaviour, and began sleeping in the kitchen, apart from his wife, saying he was being disturbed by the baby as he tried to rest.
He also took to wandering from their home at night, a practice that became more and more regular and one which he would not discuss with his wife when she questioned him of his activities.
It was at that time that strange tales of a mysterious nightly presence, manlike, but able to run swiftly on all fours, began circulating in the community.
Farmers started finding their lambs "lying dead in the morning with their throats torn from ear to ear, and the blood gone from their bodies."
At first bears were suspected as the culprit, but it was reasoned that that could not be the case since the meat of the animals was not taken nor was it consumed.
Hans joined the hunters who were trying to find whatever beast was killing the lambs, but no culprit could be uncovered.
That summer, with the blueberries in full ripeness, Hans left the family home one afternoon with a basket to harvest the fruit. After rocking the baby asleep, Nanette left the child at home and joined her husband in the fields.
His basket full, he returned to the house to empty it.
Soon realizing that her husband had been gone a long time and thinking that something might have happened to the baby, Nanette raced home where she discovered that both daughter and husband were missing.
A search party was hastily arranged, and those men entered the woods where they came upon a "gurgling brook, [and] Hans Gerhardt crouching low over the water.
"At their approach, he sprang up with a snarling cry and turned upon them with animal fury," Mr. Hennigar wrote. "The strong men soon subdued him, however, and tied him up. There were blood stains on his arms, and a wet spot on his blue linen blouse.
"'Mon Dieu! He has killed her,' shrieked Nanette, and Hans tried to spring at her, but the men had done a good job of tying him and his struggle was in vain."
Hans was taken to Lunenburg, jailed, and sentenced to die for his alleged crime, but that eventuality never took place.
When his cell was opened the next morning, he lay dead on the floor, the veins of his arms ripped open by his own teeth which caused him to bleed to death.
He was buried in a nameless grave on Gallows Hill.

Flying 'Jeepers Creepers' Humanoid Strikes Windshield in South Dakota
A woman, driving late at night in South Dakota, observes an unknown being in the road. It suddenly unfurls it wings and jettisons into her windshield, leaving a glitter-like substance.
The following account was recently sent to me:
"Back in 2013, my friend Brad lived in rural South Dakota and I would go see him anytime of the day or night. It was late and I was headed to his place, no traffic on the highway and just had the light of my headlights to see. I came upon a curve and up ahead was something black crouched over in the middle of the road, like it was looking at something or maybe eating it. I like to drive fast and love animals and didn't want to hurt whatever it was, so I hit my brakes to slow down. When all of a sudden this thing spread out its wings, which looked like a black cape (I think, it all happened so fast) and I thought it would have lifted up and away, when it took off backwards towards my car and it hit the top center of my windshield,.
It was so hard I ducked and instantly looked in the rear view mirror to see if it was still alive. It was way too dark to see, plus there was a row of bushes. I knew it had to have smashed my windshield. I couldn't tell how bad but I could see this glitter splatter, so I just kept driving to my friend's place, which was about another 10 minutes away. When I pulled up and he came out to greet me, I was so shook up on what I just hit and was telling him the story and how we had to take his truck and go see if it was still alive. He kept telling me to wait for morning but I wouldn't stop begging him. He finally agreed to ease my mind and we started to walk to his truck and stopped to look at my windshield.
The windshield was not cracked at all but the splatter it left behind was a huge gray glitter splatter and felt all silky and soft, like when you kill a moth, only bigger, way bigger! We got in the truck and drove to where I had hit it, and nothing was in the road or ditches. I felt better about not seeing anything still alive and suffering but was baffled at what just happened and the glitter splatter. About a week later, my friend died of a massive heart attack. This happened in 2013 and I moved away for a couple years and now I'm back home. I haven't told a lot of people my story. I did research Mothman and it makes me wonder. It happened so fast and I'm very observant and it kind of reminded me of the 'Jeepers Creepers' guy, all crouched in the road eating something." RC

News & Notes: Tall Pale Humanoid Eating Roadkill in Southern Colorado Mountains
2 men are driving in the mountains of Colorado, near Alamosa, when they encounter a tall pale humanoid crouched over roadkill in the middle of the road.
The following was recently forwarded to me:
"I was recently driving late at night in the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. I live 30 miles south of Alamosa, Colorado. I was driving on a backroad with my buddy taking him home near my house. It was about 12 am. Out of nowhere this thing appeared in the headlights in the middle of the road. It was crouching over some roadkill. It was humanoid. It was pale and looked like it had no ears. It looked like a wendigo from “Until Dawn.” It was 7 feet tall with abnormally long arms. No nose and nasty teeth. It wasn't skinny but its skin was tight with ribs visible with long claws on the end of its hands.
I was barely able to dodge it with my truck as I was driving considerably fast. As I swerved around it, it seemed like time slowed down. It looked up from the roadkill it was eating and stared at me as I passed. Its eyes were yellow. I immediately brake and yell at my friend, “what the f*ck! Did you see that?” His eyes were wide with fear and he nods at me. I throw the truck in reverse, but when I approached the roadkill it was gone. My friend claims to have seen it too, so I know I'm not crazy.
When I was a kid I read a lot of stories about the Rake. I know the Rake isn't real so maybe they invented a creature that already existed? Maybe it's a cave creature like in “The Descent?” I need answers." TW

News & Notes: Large Grey Figure Chases Couple in Cimarron Canyon State Park, NM
A couple drive to Eagle Nest, NM to go fishing. When they arrive, it is dark, so they hiked one of the trails using their phone lights. They encounter a large grey figure that chases them back to their vehicle.
A recent account:
"My girlfriend and I went to Eagle Nest, New Mexico to do some salmon and trout fishing, but by the time we got settled in it was already to dark. So I had the bright idea to go hiking in the dark, with only flashlights provided by our phones. I checked Google Maps and saw they had some trails along a river in Cimarron Canyon State Park. We hiked along Tolby Trail and went around a half mile up and decided to turn around because we started hearing noises, and felt a little uneasy.
As we were heading back, my girlfriend stopped and listened and said she swears she heard something. She shines her light toward the forward part of the trail, and I do the same. We both see some huge gray figure that is way bigger than a bear, and we just bolt. We run for about 20 seconds and look back, and it’s still keeping up with us. It then makes a horrible deep sound that was about the mixture of a sheep, goat, and ram at the same time.
We make it back to my truck safely, but then we decide to pull back up to the gate to the trail to see if it was still there, but we see a man on a horse that we didn’t notice when we were running back. He never asked us what we’re were running from or yelling at, and the horse was brown so it couldn’t have been that. We’re both confused on what it could have been. We didn’t notice any eye reflection when we shined towards it and I swear it made no sounds when it was following us. It didn’t look like a wendigo or a skinwalker. It was way to large. If anyone knows what it could have been, please let me know." RA

Flying Reddish-White 'Manta Ray' Seen Over St. Petersburg, Florida 1957
The following interesting report comes from 1957 in St. Petersburg, Florida. A couple states that they observed a bright reddish white 'flying manta ray' in the early morning sky above the city.
“Flying Manta Ray Over Florida”
Dazzling White Lights, Moving Bodies, Things Soundless Seen Over City
A dazzling white light in the sky yesterday at around 5:20 AM brought reports of new heavenly mysteries. Mr and Mrs Tom Clark and Mr and Mrs C G Dillman, Times route carriers, were among those reporting it. Clark described it as a dazzling light with long orange tail.
Flashing Oval: Dillman said it was oval, and reddish white, the kind of light that radiates from high temperatures. It flashed westward, and disappeared in 10 or 15 seconds. Dilman said he was certain it was not a rocket, or a jet or a meteor. The Clarks placed the time at 5:25 AM Dillman was not certain of the time but said it was near that hour. “It looked like a manta ray with curling orange tail,” said Clark. “It was an eerie sight.” Dillman said he had been discussing Wednesday morning Times stories of strange lights in the skies a half hour before he saw the flare.
Didn't Believe: “I didn't quite believe these things. I do now,” he said. Clark was seated in the rear of their car and Mrs Clark was driving, when the white light suddenly appeared. “I could see it through the windshield of our car, so it must have been close to earth,” said Clark. In four or five seconds it dipped earthward, and disappeared behind the tree tops. The Clarks were driving north on 51st Street, between Emerson and Fifth Avenues South. The Clarks said the object made no noise and was moving very fast. “The moon was setting in the est and this object, whatever it was, made so much light, it blotted out the moon,” said the Clarks.
