Bizarre Night: Creepy Little Girl, Unknown Mad Man & Covid-19

A women describes a bizarre encounter with a young girl who came to her apartment in order to use the phone. Later a man shows up and claims the girl is standing beside him. Very strange!

The following account was recently referred to me:

"I (27f) was home alone on a Thursday night. February 4, 2021, to be exact. I live with my boyfriend (28m) but he was at work until late that night. He is a bartender so he doesn't get home until 4:00 in the morning. It was around 10 PM at night, I had already eaten dinner and was watching a movie in the spare room of our apartment, when I heard a knock at the door. I have a friend who comes over unannounced fairly regularly and even has his own house key, but the door was double locked so I got up without thinking and unlocked and opened the door. I was confused when, instead of my friend, there was a girl standing there. She was maybe 8/9 years old and wearing house shoes.

"Uh, hi?" I said, and she mumbled something in return that I couldn't quite hear.

"What was that??" I asked

"My mom, I need to call my mom."

"Your mom isn't here?"

"Uh, my dad. I need to call my dad. Can I use the phone?"

I was a little dazed and confused, but the strangest part was my heart was absolutely racing. I was absolutely terrified and I'm not sure why. I hesitated and almost told her no, but I also knew if she really did need help and I turned her away, she would likely go across the hall instead, and my neighbors don't seem the most "kid friendly" so I said sure. I told her she could step just inside while I find my phone because it was freezing and she was dressed for summer. When I found my phone I handed it to her and she dialed a number and then started speaking in another language for a minute. I'm not sure which, maybe Spanish, but I didn't recognize any of the words. She spoke for maybe 30 seconds and then hung up and was just standing there. "Uh, was that him?" I asked. She just looked at me confused.

"Who?"

"... Your dad?"

"Oh! Right!"

At this point she was seriously freaking me out, to the point where I just wanted to avoid looking her in the face, so I walked over to my cat who was half hiding behind a chair and just tried to distract myself and pet her. The girl dialed a different number, spoke in the same foreign language for maybe 15 seconds, then hung up. After that, she basically shoved the phone back in my hand, shouted "Thanks" and literally ran out the front door. I was left just standing there, confused as all hell and uneasy in the pit of my stomach. I walked the 6ish feet to my door to lock both deadbolts and as I turned away from the door there was another knock. I looked through the peep hole and it was a man, maybe late 40's, in one of the work outfits for the building maintenance team of my apartment. Oddly, I didn't recognize him, even though I've lived in this complex for over 3 years and had thought I had met all of the maintenance men. I talk to them regularly because their office and storage shed is right at my front stairs where I park my van. I also found it kind of strange that anyone from the team was still here so late at night, when they usually get off almost 5 hours earlier.

Like an idiot, I open the door again.

"Hello?"

"Hi, was there a little girl here a moment ago?"

"Uh, yeah, she asked to use my phone, and then just ran off."

"She is here." At that I was confused. "Where is she?" I asked, and he looked at me like I was crazy and just pointed at the ground next to him. "She is standing right here." He said sternly. He was very clearly the only human in the hallway, a long straight hallway with no corners to hide around. At that point my panic was through the roof. "Uh, oh, yeah, right.." I said. He just shook his head and said "She should not have done that. She will not be doing that again."

I meekly said "It wasn't a big deal..." And he cut me off and raised his voice slightly and just repeated. "She. Should not. Have done that. Understand?"

At this point I'm pretty sure this dude is about to murder me over an invisible girl standing next to him so I just say "Yes, understood, of course." And he replied "We apologize for this. Enjoy your night." and he walked away.

I called my boyfriend right away and told him the whole story. He agreed that it was weird but was super busy so couldn't talk long. I reassured the whole apartment was locked up and opened a beer to calm my nerves.

Time passed until my boyfriend got home and we hung out for about an hour then went to sleep. The entire night neither of us really slept a wink, we were both absolutely burning up and shivering and breaking out in cold sweats and having night terrors. By 8:00 in the morning we were both dizzy and coughing and had fevers, and later that day my boyfriend tested positive for Covid-19. His lasted 2 rough weeks, mine however just cleared up a week ago, after having turned into one of the worst & longest running sicknesses I've ever had. I'm still getting over it and getting my breath back. I haven't seen the child or that maintenance worker since that night.

That's the last time I ever let some "kid" into my house." DG

Various 'Crawler Humanoid' Sightings & Encounters

4 separate accounts of 'crawler' humanoids in Connecticut, Missouri and Queensland, Australia. What do these beings want? Are they seeking attention? Your thoughts.

The following accounts were recently posted on various social media:

"I saw something on the side of the road while riding in my dad's car tonight (3/18/2021) in Loudon County, Connecticut. I’m not sure what I saw to be exact it definitely wasn’t another person. I know that much about it. It was raining tonight and we were on the backroads near a small ditch. with a guard rail in between the road and the ditch. I typically look out the Window while riding in shotgun. This thing probably was about 6 feet from the car. semi crouching in the ditch trying to hide from the high beams of the car. I happened to catch a glimpse of it unfortunately. It was a pale white. It had long arms and a crooked back. It had a oddly shaped head. The shoulders on this thing were built. I’m not sure what I saw and I know I don’t want to see it again." CF

"I was walking through a secluded wooded area recently in rural Missouri, and may or may not have seen a Crawler. I was walking on the side of a river, and saw a thin, tall, pale figure ran through the trees on the other side. The river itself is quite wide, and the figure was obscured by the foliage, so I was unable to catch a clear view, however some of its traits seemed to be human-like and I'm certain it was not a deer. It looked like it could have been around 8-10 feet tall if it were standing up straight. From what I did see, the creature moved on all fours and at an unusually fast speed. Is there any explanation for this?" BM

"I had a 'crawler' sighting in a forest in central Connecticut several years ago in full daylight. You never forget it - as you will see for yourself, and you will find yourself analyzing each component of the whole experience over and over again. I also have nightmares from time to time, but nothing too traumatic. Mostly, I see it's 'skin,' the way it looked so oddly uniformly gray - almost translucent, in fact. The limbs were very very long, not human like at all. And I felt a 'male' presence to it for some reason. Its eyes were very large, oval and deep black with no pupils or any other hints of color - just demonic black. The body was long and I judged it to be over 6'5 inches tall.

'It' stepped out from behind a tree across from me and took a quick look at me then went down on all fours and creeped away at inhuman speed through the forest and away from me. I was totally stunned! But also frightened and I took off like an Olympic sprinter - and I am in my 60's! I wish I could offer you an exact explanation for what they 'are' - opinions vary, as you know. I will say this, more and more people are having these sightings.

I discovered after my sighting that a local woman that lived near the forest fancied herself a 'sorceress' and was caught conducting a "summoning" ritual to a demon in the forest. My neighbors who caught this woman doing the ritual took me to her abandoned 'ritual' site where she had carved symbols - apparently a 'demons' name - onto several rocks she then used to build a circle along with other rocks surrounding several burnt down black candles. My neighbors believe that what I saw was 'summoned' somehow in this ritual. I can't be sure of that --- but maybe she opened up some sort of dark 'portal." R

I was young, and my Ma and Pa, plus my three older sisters, were living in a house in a town called Cairns in FNQ (Far North Queensland, Australia). My mother was pregnant with my first brother at the time, so we were able to live in a four-bedroom house quite comfortably. Cairns is a cane town, which means that it’s a town famous for cane fields and cane + sugar cane production. This house, in fact, bordered in part of a rainforest, and a cane field.

My experience happened one night, which began at 9:30 pm, when my Pa put me to bed in the back room. This room faced the cane field. It was far from the lounge room, and, strangely enough, the only room I would ever fall asleep in. So, Pa puts me to be, turns out the light, and closes the door. At this point in my life, I’m not afraid of the dark, so I sit up on the edge of the bed and look out the window. This room also didn’t have curtains, which seems odd to me now.

So I’m sitting up, looking out the window, when this dark shape moves out of the cane. I try to squint to see better, and the figure is this dark, tall, thin shape - emaciated, but I didn’t know that word at the time - who just stands outside of the cane field, looking at me: arms hanging limp with what looked like long, thin fingers. I suddenly felt very soft; warm, and slow, and I did the only thing that made sense. I waved.

The shape took several steps towards me, moving slowly, and raised its own hand. So I waved again. I wasn’t frightened, I wasn’t scared - I wasn’t alone - and I felt very safe and comforted. It had long, stringy hair, and these grey eyes, and held its hand up as I waved to it. Suddenly, the light goes on, my Pa comes in, and says “who are you talking to?” So I pointed out of the window, and said “the man near the cane.” My Pa looked out the window, but the bedroom light spilled out onto the lawn, and there was nothing there. I can distinctly remember a feeling of sadness, of emptiness, when I realised it was gone." TL

Nazi SS Ritual 'House of Horrors'

I have been researching the occult practices of Germany's Nazi leadership and some of the rituals associated with it. While doing so, I ran across the following information in reference to Celle Neues Rathaus.

The Celle Neues Rathaus is a surviving example of Gothic architecture. Although today it’s only a town hall, the building perhaps holds a dark secret. Located in the Lower Saxony region of Germany’s heartland, Celle is a small and auspicious city. Celle Neues Rathaus (translating to “New Town Hall of Celle”).

The edifice was occupied by the Wehrmacht in the 1930s, contained 300 rooms and could accommodate up to 1200 soldiers, with further accommodations for two hundred officers. Five additional underground levels enhanced the capacity of the ten-story building.

During Hitler’s rise to power and militarization of Germany, the Rathaus evolved into a military headquarter for the SS. It wasn’t until the site housed allied soldiers that the initial reports of paranormal encounters began after the war.

When the English and American forces made their push through Germany, they discovered that the Nazis had flooded and sealed the lower floors of Celle Neues Rathaus with concrete. This was of notable interest to specialized allied units. They were aware that the Nazi regime had hidden valuable stolen artworks and artifacts in the last days of the war. Therefore, they thought treasures might still exist in the building’s lower levels. The commanding officer, Lieutenant-General Brian Horrocks, ordered a dive expedition to investigate the lower levels of the structure.

On April 15, 1945, the expedition provided vivid accounts of what Celle Neues Rathaus may have been used for. Three divers went down at separate points, each of them tethered by a line. After thirty minutes under, only one man resurfaced. As told by the sole survivor of the original US Navy dive team, the harrowing experience deeply affected him.

Upon entering the subterranean complex, the diver claimed that he saw many sigils etched into the walls of the first and second floors. These included pentagrams and other pagan occult symbols. If this wasn’t foreboding enough, reports indicate that when he swam into the third floor, the diver came across mutilated bodies strapped to chairs.

The state of these corpses was like nothing he had ever seen. He saw vivisected abdomens, missing limbs, and animal appendages attached to several of the corpses. More specifically, some featured the heads of goats sewn onto the human bodies. He also described the mutilated bodies were moving in the flooded rooms, writhing in their chairs and trying to get out. The diver also mentioned that dark form chased him through the water during his ascent back to the surface.

After this incident, the diver was never the same, refusing to ever dive again. He took a medical discharge not long after this event. The other two other divers’ bodies were never recovered, although the tether lines attached to them were.

On April 21, Celle’s Rathaus was handed over to the British army. Soon after, the subterranean levels were completely sealed with concrete.

Soon after Celle’s city was liberated, the structure served as rotating barracks for allied units moving through Germany and for those stationed in the Celle region. English and American forces remained stationed in Germany for years due to the Cold War.

During the Cold War, the building became a permanent barracks for NATO troops. Soldiers’ reports of paranormal phenomena around the site increased. An English infantryman named Stephan Dailey said that on his first night in the barracks, he awoke to the sounds and silhouettes of a formation of men marching past his window. However, it was not until the next day that he remembered his room was on the second floor with the window more than ten feet off the ground.

There were other reports of strange activity. These included the sounds of jackboots in empty hallways or on the parade ground when most of the force was on leave. Additionally, sounds of hushed German voices in vacated or locked rooms were also not uncommon.

In a far more dramatic account, a private by the name of Martin Fox awoke abruptly one night to find his bed levitating eight feet of the ground. After he realized it was not a prank, he panicked. This caused the bed to come crashing down to the floor. Subsequently, a sergeant major was out on the grounds one evening and watched the ghostly form of a German Panzer column move along a road next to him in complete silence.

It was not uncommon for enlisted men to return to find their previously clean and secured rooms vandalized throughout this time. There were also often sightings of shadowy figures in hallways and corners. Some men even claim to have awoken to these entities standing over their beds at night. On the higher levels of the Rathaus, some rooms had pentagrams and odd symbols etched into the floors or walls, similar to the motifs that the frightened diver described.

Official documents noted that the barracks had an unexplainable spike in medical discharges during the 1980s. Many of these resulted from psychological evaluations that determined the men were depressed, schizophrenic, or suffering from extreme acute anxiety conditions. The suicide rate was the highest among stationed troops in West Germany, As the medical examiner recorded, there seemed to be a dark, oppressive atmosphere over the site.

Celle was near the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. In the process of transporting prisoners to this camp, they would have had to change lines at Celle. On April 8, 1945, about 3500 concentration camp inmates died in Celle on their way to Bergen-Belsen. This was the result of an Allied air raid that hit the ammunition train that had stopped next to them and exploded. A number of these prisoners were killed, while the surviving inmates fled into the town or woods. The SS opened fire on them. The rest were hunted like animals and killed.

Had the real horrific events of earlier days at Celle Neues Rathaus been ingrained so deeply into the area and the building? One would think that the sealed underground levels should be examined, but this action has never been undertaken.

Reported 'Mermaid' Encounter Near Vancouver, BC

I recently came across a part of an article that was written by a columnist in 1984 in reference to a Mermaid encounter. This event was reported to have taken place on New Year's Eve of 1969. The witness was a very close friend of the news columnist who told the tale after his friend's death. The witness' name was Bill Evans. The columnist's name was Jack Scott.

There was a New Year's Eve party at the house on the shore [somewhere in the vicinity of Vancouver, BC], and there had been a beach bonfire, but people had retreated inside. Evans and Scott had remained outside, Scott to attend to the bonfire, while Evans had wandered down the beach. His excuse was picking oysters, but it was a walk of solitude common to him. The blaze was quite robust just then, and it and the Moonlight illuminated quite a patch of the beach.

Evans had been gone oyster-picking for about twenty minutes, when Scott looked up and noticed his friend standing "transfixed". Ultimately noticing Scott staring, Evans slowly waved to him to come over. When Scott arrived, his friend seemed quietly introspective. Neither talked. They walked a bit further down the beach and sat. Evans, still staring out into the ocean bay then said: "I've just met a Mermaid".

Scott, of course, thought that this was a joke, but Evans sensing that waved any comment away. He continued: "She came into the shallow water at the point and then she came out of the water on the beach, where we get the clams. She was very beautiful. She had long golden hair. Well, it was more like ribbons of kelp, but somehow beautiful. She had a long green fishlike tail that was a part of her exquisite body. I just didn't know what to say to her."

Scott, stunned by these comments by a close friend that had never had any tendency to engage in foolishness of anything like this sort, noted the euphoric appearance of his face, and had to take him seriously. He asked him, well, what DID you say?

Evans gave a bemused self-deprecating smile and said: "Aren't you cold?" She gave a laugh and in a non-human-but-still-human low voice "like an offshore breeze", said that no, she wasn't. She asked him why the people had been gathering on the beach, and he talked a bit about New Year's and parties with friends. Evans thought that they talked for about five minutes.

Scott asked if he could describe her. Evans was a bit embarrassed. The Mermaid was topless and he felt that her great beauty and the very non-mundane interaction that they were having made his "looking at her" something that he didn't want to make so obvious that she thought him a crude lout. But he responded to Scott's question this way:

"There was nothing even remotely self-conscious about her, you understand, but since she wore no clothes I felt a little embarrassed about looking at her. Still, I saw enough to know that she was absolutely lovely. You could say breathtakingly beautiful. When I asked her, at one point, where she lived, she pointed out to the water and the path of the Moon. Then we saw someone coming down the beach and she took my hand for a second and slipped into the bay and was gone".

At that Evans unconsciously lifted his hand towards the water. Scott saw that it was still wet.

They sat a while in silence. When Evans died he asked for his ashes to be scattered in this very bay. And this despite that he was never a sailor nor ever owned the smallest boat.

Malicious Entity Calls Out and Attacks Victim in Lincolnshire Woods

A young British man has a scaring encounter in the woods near his home in Heightington, Lincolnshire. He is attacked and injured by an unknown force that called out his name.

The following account was posted a while back on social media:

"I’m 22 and I live in England in a very small village in Lincolnshire called Heighington. It’s very rural. There are loads of woods, three separate large wooded areas in the village alone. Complete with large surrounding fields and walking tracks all that sort of thing. All my life I’ve been in the woods with nothing weird happening. I used to ride my bike through them when I was a kid, used to walk through them later in life and messing about with my friends, even walking my dogs. So the point is I’ve spent a hell of a lot of time in these woods. Sometimes at night, when I was 16-17, my friends and I would go make campfires and sit around listening to music by the fire just having good times. Some of the happiest moments of my life have been in these woods. But the experience I want to share with you is not a happy one.

One of my lifelong and closest friends is called Chris, I have known this boy since I was about four and I still consider him to be one of my closest and dearest friends. It would be very common for me to walk to his house when I was 18-20 and we would just play Call of Duty: Zombies until the early hours of the AM.

One day we were playing and chilling until around 3am and I was getting tired so we decided to call it a night. I left Chris’ about ten minutes later after packing my bag and saying goodbye to my bro. I was 20 at this point so it would have been 2018 and for the past five years or so the council where I live turn off all the street lights past midnight. So when I left Chris’ house I literally only had moonlight. This was in December as well so the winter was in full flow ice on the pavements pitch black darkness, the full works.

Luckily my house is only a five to ten minute walk away so I walked slowly to avoid slipping on some ice or stumbling up a curb. About half way there is a footpath leading into one of the large wooded areas I mentioned earlier, I was walking past this footpath when I heard something that chilled me to the very core. My name, not my abbreviated name or a nickname, like my full first middle and last name. Everything around me was very silent so I heard this very clearly.

Now to this day I have no idea why I did this, maybe I was interested or maybe I was just feeling brave, but against my better judgement I walked down the footpath and into the woods. I walked deep into the woods following the sound. It was pitch black so I turned the flashlight on my phone and decided to light a cigarette. As soon as I lit the cigarette I continued walking into the woods I heard a loud cracking sound from behind me, like a twig being stepped on or something. I spun around to have a look but nothing was there. It was at this point I turned back around and felt something drag me to the ground. My cigarette and phone fell out my hands on impact and I felt winded, wheezing and gasping for air, face down in the mud. I hear what I assumed to be crows or some sort of birds cawing (I don’t know if that’s the right term but they were very loud). Panicked, I grab my phone and struggle to my feet. All the while still hearing my full name coming from deeper into the forest and the crows getting louder and louder.

I decide that I need to get the hell out before something worse happens to me. So I try to run off but after a few more steps I feel it again, like a hand on my ankle dragging me down. I have tripped up and fell over enough times in my life to know the difference. My phone screen was now cracked and broken and my flashlight had gone off. What I saw next haunts me. In the moonlight I could see very faint outlines moving and darting about from tree to tree, almost like moving shadows. I start to cry and I think to myself I don’t want to die here. I get up and just charge, but once again I’m pulled down. My full name was no longer being said, instead it had been replaced by laughter.

My head was spinning and my ankle was clearly sprained. All the time I could just hear this laughter. The laughing enraged me. My tears turned to pure hatred toward whatever was laughing at me, I screamed not in fear but in anger, almost a maniacal scream (like a Viking warrior or something) as loud as I could into the darkness. The laughter stopped and I saw the figures in the darkness creep into the cover of trees. I pulled myself up using a tree for support and hobbled toward the exit which was now visible.

I managed to get out of the woods and back onto the footpath. Exhausted, I hobbled my way back to the street I turn around again and in the moonlight I can see the crows, so so many crows circling above the trees. Then I hear it again, my full name coming from the woods. Whatever stupidity or bravery that took over and made me investigate the first time was gone. 

I just went straight home, hobbling up the hill. This was easily the scariest thing that has ever happened to me and I don’t understand it what so ever. It still confuses me to this day. It’s safe to say I took the long way home from Chris’ in the future, bypassing the woods completely. Thank you for you time. I would really appreciate any ideas or advice or if anyone has had a similar experience? Thank you." SS

Was 'Shadow Being' Encounter Harbinger of Acute Illness?

A couple encounter a shadow being in their residence one late night. Afterward, the witness suddenly developed an acute medical syndrome. Was it a harbinger?

The following account was recently forwarded to me:

"My fiancé and I were living at his parents' house. It was about 3am that night during the summer. We were night owls, gaming late and we went to go on the porch to have a cigarette. It's the middle of the night so it's dark in the house except for a decent amount of light coming from a pretty big fish tank. It was clear enough to see walking through the very dimmed dining room towards our room without needing a light.

I walked back in first, while my fiancé was a bit behind me locking the front porch door. I was looking down walking forward and looked up. I stopped in my tracks and I was about 15 feet away from a solid black shadow standing against a white door. It had no outline of arms, legs, or features with the top head part, looking almost like a hood there wasn't any head shape from the rest of the body. It was taller than anyone living at the house. It was like 6 foot something with no face just a solid black.

I felt it just staring at me. The weird thing was I didn't feel fear or joy or any emotion what so ever while we stared at each other. I hear my fiancé slowly walking up to where I stopped and says "do you see that?" The head on my hair stood up. I didn't feel crazy or sleep deprived and having someone confirm what I was seeing really jolted me. We both felt like the minute of us both staring at it felt like ages, but it was for about a solid minute in silence of the night.

Some time after my fiancé asked if I see that too the shadow figure it was so strange. It what looked like, not teleportation, but like quickly just glided into my fiancé's brothers room next door to us. It was like a smoky kind of swoosh but faster than any person I've ever seen move. Everyone was asleep during that night.

We told his brother the next morning and he said that it was weird because he woke up in the middle of the night, which he doesn't do often, and felt like there was something there in the corner of his room.

I think about this everyday since it happened and we moved away from there. I was always a skeptic my entire life and did not believe in anything otherworldly and that experience shattered my perception of this world. I know it was real because my partner was there and I'm happy I wasn't alone to experience that because I will always have that one person who 100 percent understands and believes what we both saw. But I yearn for more knowledge to understand the secrets of these things and their purpose.

We had an experience 3 months prior to that one around the same time of night after going inside after a porch ciggy. On the way back to the room there were 3 knocks inside on the wall to our left. There was no other room behind that wall and we checked to see if anything was out there and there wasn't. We both heard it clear as day and it was still a mystery and now wonder if it was from the same shadow person.

I want to know more from you guys who've actually seen them and if they ever made any other noises like that around the house

I'm going to add one other factor I didn't write about in my other post. After encountering the shadow person my health declined dramatically. I've developed mast cell activation syndrome. a rare condition which makes me allergic to the world. It almost felt like seeing it was a warning to me because I got so sick shortly after and allergic to everything that I had to move away.

I don't know what it wanted but it just stood there staring at me making sure I knew of its existence. It wasn't scary in the moment but a weird experience that I got to share with another person with me." FD

Anomalous Glowing Light Chases Car Out Of Colonial Cemetery

A group of friends in Ware County, Georgia are exploring a rural colonial period cemetery. Nothing unusual occurred until they left and were chased by a glowing ball of light.

I recently received the following account:

"I want to share one of the bizarre experiences I had about 10 years ago. At the time, I lived in rural southeast Georgia in Ware County. My friends and I being dumb, bored teenagers loved explore old and abandoned places.

Well, one night we learned of an old colonial graveyard that was deep in the woods about an hour or so out of town from a group of ghost hunting family members. We heard legends of witches being hanged and buried there, just outside of the cemetery grounds. There had also been lynchings of black folks in the darker days of Southern history.

We drive along the highway for while until we find the unmarked dirt road. We turn down this empty road and drove for about 5 minutes until it dead ends at a small sheet metal shelter. We could see the headstones of the cemetery in the pale headlights. So, happy at finding our destination, we jump out of friend's convertible and we grab our flashlights from the trunk. We then go about exploring the graveyard as we usually did.

It was quite an interesting place. The families that lived in the area still used the graveyard so part of the cemetery was well maintained. As you ventured more and more back in time, the forest had slowly retaken the grounds. So, in order to get deep into the old sections, you had to climb over dense trees and brush. We were there for about an hour or so exploring. Nothing out of the odd happened. The only scary thing about the place was the foreboding atmosphere and the reflected eyes of forest critters watching us from the dark forest.

After an hour of exploring, it was getting late and we decided to start on our hour drive back home. The night was cool, and we had the top of the convertible down. I was sitting in the back seat with my friend S. W and J were up front in the driver and passenger seat.

We had only left the cemetery not 20 seconds before but I decided to look back and watch the retreating landscape. Which is when I saw something quite peculiar. A glowing ball of light was following us.

I stare at this thing for a good 10-20 seconds just trying to make out what it could be. It hovered about 10' off the road and shown with brilliant light that illuminated the forest around it (30ft+ area). It was slowly gaining on us as we were making our way slowly down the pitch black road. We rounded a curve in the road and I watched it navigate the same turn in the road.

At this point I turn and alert S, who turns and stares at it. Confirming that I wasn't crazy we then alerted J and W to our stalker. J stops the car and we all turn around again and watch as this ball of light is making its way towards us.

At this point, all hell breaks loose as J and W freak out and J slams his foot on the accelerator. W, not really thinking clearly, pulls a BB pistol out from under his seat and began to load it. We quickly outpaced whatever it was and we soon pulled out onto the old highway. J didn't stop until we got back to his house.

I don't know what the Hell that light was, but a series of unfortunate and unexplained events befell each of us over the next 2 years. I have wondered if we had disturbed a malevolent entity while in the cemetery." LP

Secrets of Flying Saucer Propulsion

In 1954, while working inside the Department of Defense, Riley H. Crabb had an inkling that both the Air Force and Navy brass were beginning to pull scientists and technicians together for the purpose of searching for a new and radical kind of propulsion for vehicles that could operate under the sea, in the air and even in such hostile environments as might be encountered in outer space.  His suspicions were confirmed on 29 August 1955, when the London, United Kingdom, Daily Express newspaper broke the secret in the following dispatch: “More than a dozen European scientists are signed up by the Glenn L. Martin Aircraft Company of Baltimore, Maryland, to help crack the New Frontiers.  The experts will work on problems of space travel and a method of circumventing gravity.”

Just three months after this security leak in the world press, the New York City, New York, Herald Tribune, European edition, ran a series of three articles, written by their aviation editor, Ansel Talbert, wherein he interviewed George S. Trimble, the brilliant young scientist then in charge of the Advanced Design Division of the Martin Aircraft Company in Baltimore, about the possibility of overcoming the force of gravity directly with some new source of power.  Said Trimble, “I think we could do the job in about the same time that it actually required to build the first atom bomb, if enough trained scientific brain-power simultaneously began thinking about and working toward a solution to overcome gravity.  I know that if Washington decides it will be vital to our national survival to go where we want and to do what we want without having to worry about gravity, we’d find the answer rapidly.”  See my series of articles, “Possible Methods of UFO Propulsion Examined,” published on this blogsite in twenty parts, starting last year.  

Riley’s friend Gray Barker in Clarksburg, West Virginia, the publisher of the Saucerian magazine, clued him in on a tip that he had received from a reader in California that, “Scientists and heads of certain industries here on the West Coast had been invited under rigid security, to the Hotel Statler in New York for a secret meeting, the code name for which was ‘Aircraft Engine Power.’  But they weren’t there to discuss anything so common as jet planes.  It involved a fantastic new source of power, utilizing neutronic energy of a highly advanced nature which could be expelled from an aircraft to give it rocket-like thrust.  It was hinted that the secret had been learned from taking apart an interplanetary saucer from Venus, one that crashed at Aztec, New Mexico, back in 1948.”

From the period of 1948 through 1955, however, apart from the proceedings of the Gravity Research Foundation in New Boston, New Hampshire, little attention was paid to the subject of researching the incorporation of an anti-gravity drive in the development of advanced aerospace platforms.  It was considered by most scientists to be something relegated purely to the realm of a “Buck Rogers’ type of science fiction.”  Even the late Caltech President and physicist, Robert Andrews Millikan (1868-1953), who won the Nobel Prize in 1923 for his measurement of the elementary electric charge and his work on the photoelectric effect, had scoffed at the very notion that anyone could ever create an anti-gravity device.  Millikan, like 99% of the other scientists in the 1950s, believed that gravity was just some all-pervasive, universal power beyond our power to understand or to control. 

In the defense establishment, one gains access to classified information only on a “need to know” basis.  Riley, ever cognizant of this fact, turned his attention to the UFO community for further enlightenment as to the motive power of the flying saucers.  It was late in 1955 that Morris K. Jessup, M.S., a noted astronomer and astrophysicist from the Lamont-Hussey Observatory of the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, who authored his classic book, Case for the UFO, which so inspired Riley in his own private investigations.  Jessup also went on to write three other books about the UFO phenomenon, UFO Annual (New York City, New York:  Citadel Press, 1956), UFO and the Bible (New York City, New York:  Citadel Press, 1956), and the Expanded Case for the UFO (New York City, New York:  Citadel Press, 1957); but neither of these were as well received as his first offering.  Without a doubt, Jessup was a genius-type university professor who deserted the ivy halls of academia for the “way-out” field of ufology.  According to Riley’s assessment, “Jessup could never quite cross the Cosmic Barrier which full understanding of the UFO requires; but his efforts to build a bridge between the visible and the invisible worlds are noteworthy in the UFO field and well worth reading and study.”  In this regard, Riley was greatly impressed a short article written by Jessup that appeared in the January 1956 issue of the Saucerian magazine, published by Gray Barker in Clarksburg, West Virginia, that follows below:

“Probably the most consideration of all from the viewpoint of science and engineering is the question of motive power.  Jets have been suggested, as have rockets.  They have to be rejected forthwith because of the inability of carrying fuel and material for reactional ejection.  Magnetic drives have been almost universally postulated; therefore, let us consider these for a moment.

“The Earth does have a very intense magnetic field, but it is restricted to the immediate neighborhood of the planet, and is variable and whimsical in its nature and erratically influence by sunspot activity.  Only magnetic and para-magnetic materials can react to the magnetic field, or at best to another magnetic field set up by induction.  To obtain a space drive from such a mechanism, the thrust must be picked up by a magnet or coil which is reacting with the magnetic field and mechanically transmitted to the craft, and, through the structure of the craft, to the people, animals, beings or entities enclosed in the craft and operating it.

“Therefore, all the terrific and unbelievable accelerations which have been repeatedly observed must be externally applied to such beings, carnate or not, as may be operating the saucers.  The fact that carnate beings cannot withstand external pressure and stresses of such magnitude has been used by the scientifically elite as a means of ridiculing the whole idea of the UFO.  Granting the reality of the UFO, thee observed facts do not negate the UFO, but merely demonstrate the impossibility of externally applied accelerations, due to any cause including jets, rockets or magnetic drive.  If neither the structure of the craft nor the sinew of its pilots can withstand such stress, the actual observation demands another power source.

 “Science to the contrary, notwithstanding, there is such a source.  It is the reaction of the gravitational field, which is universal, and as compared to the magnetic field, it is relatively uniform and unfluctuating.  While reaction to a magnetic field can only be had from magnetic and metallic materials, reaction to a gravitational thrust can be applied to all materials having mass.  Thus, gravitational thrust and be applied to all the molecules of any carnate being or UFO structure simultaneously, and so eliminate external pressure.  No calculable amount of acceleration would then be felt by any being subjected to such a force, which would act uniformly through the interior of his body.  Not only would there be no harmful results, there would not be any sensation of acceleration whatsoever, either to the craft or its operators.

“The UFO is propelled by a cheap source of power, therefore a reaction with the gravitational field, comparable to the reaction of the sails of an old-fashioned sailing ship with the wind.  It is high time we stopped spending the taxpayers’ money for impractical rocket development, and invest in basic research to uncover the secret of gravitational drive which was known even to antediluvian civilizations.”

It is clear from Jessup’s last sentence in the article quoted above that he was making reference to the gravity-free flights of aerial vessels of certain Earth civilizations that flourished before the Great Flood, such as Atlantis and Lemuria.  Most likely, Jessup was unaware that the Air Force and Navy had already initiated an anti-gravity project with the Martin Company of Baltimore in the very same year he came out with his first blockbuster UFO book, 1955.  

Riley commented that, “We have to thank Jessup for reminding us that when a spaceship establishes its own gravity field, it becomes a unit including everything inside it.  Therefore, if a highspeed turn is made and you are inside, you will not feel that a turn is being made.  You are the gravity yourself.  You would not be aware of any acceleration or deceleration, unless you could look outside the ship to some reference point, such as the Earth.  You are in and part of the gravity field of the Earth, so you are not aware of the nearly thousand-miles-per-hour speed that the Earth is spinning now, on its axis.  The gravity of the Earth affects every cell of your body at the same time, instantaneously.  It is not acting or pushing on you from outside.  Obviously, this is a universal type of force which should have great fascination to our scientists now; and it does.”

Anti-Gravity Breakthrough Anticipated

Riley maintained optimism about anti-gravity research in the United States.  In 1965, he opined that, “Ten years of research have gone by, so it is not surprising that successful demonstration of this radical new source of power is within sight.  It is now being forced upon us by the astronomical cost of rocket power!  We may be able to spend $40 billion for the Apollo trip to the Moon without it hurting too much; but a manned trip to Mars in 1980 may cost $200 billion or more!  Ouch!  My pocketbook!  Therefore, if we are going to the planets, here’s a practical dollars-and-cents reason for developing anti-gravity:  A Bendix Systems Division engineer, Clyde R. Murtaugh, outlined the dimensions of the problem and predicted the inevitable results at a meeting of the Mechanical Engineers and the Institute of Electric and Electronic Engineers in Detroit, Michigan, the second week of February 1965” (Flying Saucers Uncensored, Vista, California:  Borderland Sciences Research Associates Foundation, Inc., 1965).

From Murtaugh’s talk, the astute ufologist Riley surmised that a huge propulsion breakthrough coming to light around 1971 was “highly probable.”  The technical approach most likely would be based on producing a force by some means other than mass expulsion/rocket power.  But in order to facilitate this development, Riley predicted that several factors needed to simultaneously exist, thus establishing a need for moving in this revolutionary new direction.  These included:

1. An urgent need.  A real, well-defined technological barrier had to be identified that stood firmly in the path of immediate progress.

2. An economic incentive.  This needed to be of sufficient magnitude to justify the rapid development of such support technology not previously applied to this barrier, even in the face of established processes, facilities and product lines.  

3. A new technique.  Any breakthrough would, by necessity, be characterized by the emergence of a new technique.  However, this technique would need to be one that differed radically from the technique leading to the propulsion barrier.  “The importance of this element,” noted the Bendix scientist, “cannot be stressed too highly.”

Riley Speculates

Given the information gleaned from Murtaugh, Riley speculated that the gravity breakthrough was most likely based on then extant scientific technologies attained to in the United States.  The big question for Riley was, “Which technology will be called upon to support the new development?”  For example, when James Watt developed the steam engine in 1769, this was a radical breaking out of the confines imposed by horse power.  Clearly, the success of Watt’s inventions for the steam engine depended on advancements made in the metalworking trades.  His five-ft. diameter pistons were only an inch out of round, which back in the second half of the 18th century was considered to be gauged at an unprecedented degree of accuracy.  

The evidence of a propulsion barrier was established by the space programs of both the Soviet Union and the United States.  This was a definite factor that needed to be considered for any future space exploration beyond the Apollo or Luna programs of the United States and the Soviet Union, respectively, and the focus for any manned Mars landing mission in the 1980s and beyond by either of these two space-faring powers, or any other power on Earth that might care to enter the space race.  

Any progress being made in the United States in 1965 beyond the imminent landing of a man on the Moon and returning him safely to Earth, had to be factored into new developments in spacecraft propulsion.  Riley was cognizant of liberal political opposition to spending on the space program in the United States Congress, despite the fact that it was the liberal Democrat President John F. Kennedy who established the Moon shot objective in the first place.  If new methods of spacecraft propulsion could not be found, Riley saw two viable alternatives for American technological developments:

1. The dilution of planetary exploration activities through increased interest is some related field, such as oceanography.

2. The substitution of a national objective in a different field, perhaps education, food production or medicine.  

Riley recognized the genius in Murtaugh when he put forward for the consideration of the Detroit electricians and engineers the following alternatives to rocket power that could be put in place to continue the space program to newer frontiers beyond the Moon and Mars.  According to Murtaugh, “After eliminating rocket power from consideration, our focus should be on the development of a self-contained source of ‘pure’ force defined as requiring no exhaust of propellant mass and the supplying of thrust from an Earth or lunar base.  Three such ‘pure’ forces are known to exist:  gravitational, electric and magnetic.  Each has a place in Albert Einstein’s universal field theory and may be viewed as a type of anti-gravity….”

The esotericist Riley, accustomed to “thinking outside the box,” as it were, understood that any revolutionary developments such as Murtaugh was proposing depended upon our scientists being able to establish a well-defined statement of the propulsion barrier problem.  Insofar as this statement had heretofore been defined solely in the context of chemical or thermodynamic terms, the emphasis remained locked on rocketry.  The Bendix engineer Murtaugh was the only one seeing the situation clearly and objectively; that the conquering of gravity required a new paradigm that incorporated new techniques and new supporting technology.  This would include a new understanding of matter, with nuclear physics being replaced with a new type of physics.  For Riley, the older 19th century theories of aether physics (variable spelling “ether,” as used by Riley and members of the Borderland Sciences group) might be dusted off and reconsidered.  These could be updated and given new terminology.  To some extent, much of the work accomplished by the late electronics wizard Nikola Tesla (10 July 1856 - 7 January 1943), was based on just such theorization (Meg Neal, “Eternal Quest for Aether….,” Popular Mechanics, New York City, New York, 19 October 2018).

Real Creepy Tales From Readers

Over the course of time, I receive a lot of stories that can be classified more so as 'creepy' as opposed to 'paranormal.' Here are a few of the more interesting incidents.

"This story was unveiled to me by my uncle, when he was drunk. Whenever I ask him to repeat it he tells me to stop asking, says that he doesn't want to talk about it and thanks me for stopping him from sleeping that night. Needless to say, we don't bring it up very often.

My uncle lived in an old English cottage, wooden beams, wonky ceilings, strange stairs and creaking floorboards, the works.

He suffered from constant nightmares as a child, and they all seemed to be part of the same story. There would always be a boy that walked down his street in tattered clothes, went to the window and knocked on it. My uncle would look, causing the boy to scream. That was the point where my uncle would wake up.

Wherever he was the dream seemed to adapt, sleeping in a car, car window, camping, outside the tent. It all seemed a bit too coincidental that this same boy would keep appearing in all his dreams. This carried on until he was 14, he was in the car with his mother, sleeping, when the car crashed. He says he heard the same scream, the window smash and then he woke up.

They had ran into a boy, the same boy from the dreams, who proceeded to crash through the windscreen and land on his lap. His cold dying eyes fixed on my uncle as if he had seen him before, like he was death itself. That stare haunts my uncle, and had to go through months of therapy to get over it." RD

"In 2007 I was living with my parents in Anchorage, Alaska while I attended college. They lived in a nice, three-level house in an upscale part of the city. My room was in the downstairs, the middle floor was the kitchen and living areas, and my parents' room was on the top level. The kitchen was directly above my room and, since it had a tile floor, I could always very clearly hear it when someone was in the kitchen.

One morning in early March, I was up late finishing some math homework. My parents had been in bed for hours, although both are known for having occasional insomnia. I heard a door upstairs slam shut and heavy footsteps in the kitchen, it sounded like they had shoes on as well. I immediately assumed it was my dad having trouble sleeping and I thought I should go up and keep him company. As I left my room, I got a funny feeling about it and instead locked myself in the bathroom with my cell phone. I called our landline. My father answered, and sounding annoyed said "What are you doing stomping around the kitchen?" They came downstairs to get me and together we searched the entire house. We found absolutely no evidence of any intruder. All doors and windows were shut and locked, nothing broken, etc. Additionally, there was snow on the ground outside, but we found no footprints around the house and no mud or water in the kitchen where the intruder had been walking.

The thing that made it most creepy to me was the disturbingly strong "this isn't right" feeling I had as I left my room. It was at least once every few weeks that one of my parents would be up in the night from insomnia and I, being a night owl, would always go up and join them, so hearing someone walking around the kitchen was completely normal. I sometimes wonder what would have happened or what I would have seen if I had ignored that feeling or hadn't felt it at all." TW

"My mom told me a story about her cousin Bobby. Bobby and his girlfriend got in a severe car accident. His girlfriend died, but he lived. After the accident he had a reoccurring dream that he and his girlfriend were on opposite sides of a river. She would always scream and try to get him to swim across the river to her, but he refused.

One night, he woke up and said goodbye to everyone in his family and that he'd never see them again. Everyone was very confused, and he explained that he had dreamed that he had crossed the river. He died the next day in a car crash. And no, the car crash was not his fault." LR

"I was reading a reference to Skinwalkers. They're these native American medicine men (mostly in Navajo and southwestern tribes) who are pure evil. They shapeshift and stuff, look them up, they're creepy bastards. I'm half Lakota-Sioux Indian so I've heard of them mentioned by friends and relatives before. They kill people after driving them crazy from fear. Anyways they prey on Indians and other ethnicities if you talk about them.

Well I started reading stories about them and telling friends about the stories and how creepy they are. People say if you talk about them they stalk you and kill you. I didn't actually believe in them, so I figured I was fine. I keep this up for a week.

Then one night as I'm laying in bed I hear a tapping on my window and it doesn't sound muffled like a fingertip, but like a sharp rap from a hard pointy tip of a claw or knife. I calm myself and try to sleep thinking I'm just going crazy and spooked myself. But then it gets louder and clearer with more force, accompanied by a whispering sound. At this point I know I'm not imagining it, so I pray for it to go away but it won't. So I grab my shotgun and open the blinds and nothing is there. By now I'm nearly sh*tting myself from fear, but I lay back down with my gun. It doesn't happen anymore, and I doze off.

Then, as soon as I go into a deep sleep, I hear this piercing sound next to my ear, as loud as a megaphone. It sounded like an eagle scream mixed with a bear roar, and it's so loud I lose hearing for a few moments. Outside my window is just ferocious banging, as my window began to rattle. So I start pleading for God to send whatever it is away over and over again and it just abruptly stops. Then about ten seconds later my 3-year-old brother just wakes up with a blood curdling scream and my parents rush in to check in on him. He said something was outside his window.

The next morning I go to investigate outside and everything is normal except my brother's window screen had one large gash in it.

I tell my parents about the things that happened in the night, about how I'd been talking about Skinwalkers, and my mom got extremely pissed (she's full-blood Native American) and curses at me. She eventually calls our local medicine man over to our house. He does a ritual and blesses the family. Since then we have been fine. But because of that I decided not to f*ck with that anymore." UJ

The 2002 Waynesboro Reservoir 'Bigfoot' Tracks - Michaux State Forest, PA

On February 14, 2002 two brothers (Steve & Dennis Gates), in the area of the Waynesboro Reservoir / treatment plant, discover over 300 unusual tracks that trek the distance of the reservoir. The location is within the Michaux State Forest in the South Mountain area in south central Pennsylvania. The East Branch Antietam Creek flows nearby and the Appalachian Trail is very close as well.

The discovery of the tracks grabbed the attention of the media (mostly local), PA Game & Wildlife officials and several hundred curiosity seekers. No Bigfoot were sighted or reported. Tracks continued to be found nearby for the next 2 years. The Michaux State Forest, as a whole, is an area of high interest for Bigfoot investigators. Here are a few of the media reports:

WAYNESBORO, Pa. — The footprints are there, deep in the muck on both sides of the creek.

They run for about 300 yards. There are 40 or more of them, said Mike Hilton, 28, of South Mountain. "I was skeptical at first until I seen them," Mr. Hilton said Monday night as he led the way through the darkness into the Waynesboro Reservoir, to investigate the tracks left in the mud.

The footprints — if that's what they are — are about 13 inches long and 6 inches wide. They have a rounded heel like a human's, but spread out into what looks like a set of five dangerous claws.

They are sunk about 4 or 5 inches in the mud, indicating some weight was behind whatever made them.

Mr. Hilton said they were discovered by his co-worker Steve Gates a few days ago.

Mr. Hilton won't venture to say what he thinks made the footprints — prankster or monster.

But, he said as he illuminated the tracks with a flashlight, "Tell me that ain't a big foot." Deb Brownley, of Fairfield, Pa., was taking photos under the light. "I'm a wildlife biology major and I've never seen anything like it," said Ms. Brownley. "It's kind of almost looks like an ape's foot — only bigger," Mr. Hilton said. Ms. Brownley was taking pictures of the prints that hadn't been tampered with, as well as those tracks that are filled with plaster. Mr. Gates is making the plaster casts, in order to verify what he found, Mr. Hilton said. "If it was me, I'd make one just to say I saw it," he said. "I never seen anything like it before in my life," Mr. Hilton said.

Mr. Hilton said an investigator of unusual phenomena from the state of Washington has been called in and is expected to arrive within a few days. Both Mr. Gates and Mr. Hilton are employees of Quebecor Printing in Fairfield. - The Frederick News-Post - Tuesday, February 19, 2002

WAYNESBORO, Pennsylvania. - The mysterious footprints left in a nearly dry reservoir bed are starting to fade, but the debate over their origin lingers on.

Steve Gates and his brother Dennis found the prints on Valentine's Day, just before dark. They had gone to the Waynesboro reservoir to see a reported 13-foot drop in the water level for themselves. "We been in the mountains ever since we were kids," Mr. Gates, 28, said. "We never seen nothing like this, never." What they saw was a set of footprints running on both sides of a slow moving creek. He estimates they go for about 400 yards and there are about 300 to 400 of them. The prints are about 13 inches long and 6 inches wide. They have a rounded heel and spread out into what looks like a set of five long claws.

One of the digits presumably the big toe sticks out prominently to the side. That characteristic may prove to be an important clue in determining their origin, according to one researcher.

Mr. Gates said night was closing in when they found the prints. "Truthfully, I had an eerie feeling," he said about walking out of the reservoir. "I had chills all over me."

They went back Friday and videotaped the prints, then showed the tape to their brother-in-law, Paul Scott. "I watched the video and the hairs stood up on the back of my neck," Mr. Scott, 42, said. Mr. Scott, a man with 35 years hunting experience, also said he'd never seen anything like them before. "What could
it possibly be?"

On Sunday, they contacted Jeffrey Lemley, a noted Bigfoot researcher who lives in Washington state. Unable to make it himself, Mr. Lemley mobilized several volunteers.

Mr. Gates said the team was baffled by what they found. "They couldn't understand it, they said it wasn't characteristic of Bigfoot." The problem, it seems, is that Bigfoot doesn't have a big toe that sticks out to the side.

"The hallux sticking out to the side shows they are nonhuman," said Loren Coleman about the prints. Hallux, Mr. Coleman said, is the scientific term for big toe. The footprints are much smaller than Bigfoot's, and are more likely an artifact of something he calls a "Nape," or North American Ape. The Nape, also known as a Skunk Ape in parts of the South, is generally not taller than 5 feet, he said. - The Frederick News-Post - Tuesday, February 20, 2002

WAYNESBORO, PA, Feb. 21 - A well-known legend was drawing crowds of people to one local reservoir, but what seemed like a harmless outing was raising some concerns. At Waynesboro's Water Treatment Plant, they are already facing a major water shortage and now they said Bigfoot could potentially make things worse.

Officials were asking people to refrain from going down to the reservoir to look for these footprints. They say while it may seem harmless, it could really hurt the water supply. Is it a hoax or the real thing? Could Bigfoot really be in Waynesboro? "I'm a little skeptical," stated Stanley Wetzel. "I didn't believe it at all. I thought it was a hoax from the start," commented Waynesboro Operations Manager, Gordon Cruickshanks.

About 300 footprints were first spotted on Valentine's Day near the north end of the reservoir off Old Forge Road. Since then, hundreds of people have visited the site. But as water levels in the reservoir reached an all time low, there was no room to fool around. "Our main concern from our standpoint was the influx of people into the reservoir area just with trash and other contaminants, because it is a public water supply," stated Cruickshanks.

While Franklin County is dealing with its own mandatory water restrictions, officials there said every drop was needed. So when a Bigfoot research organization recently came out to put an end to the mystery, officials were thrilled.

"It's deemed to be a hoax or not real," replied Cruickshanks. So if you're thinking about going down there to see if those footprints are really Bigfoot's, you
might want to save yourself the trip. - NBC25 News

NOTE: If you go online, you'll find other comments concerning these tracks, most by Bigfoot and cryptid researchers. Personally, I've been skeptical of these series tracks, though I have rarely expressed my opinions. There are many enthusiasts within the Bigfoot community (some are friends) who believe that these tracks were genuine. The  Michaux State Forest has traditionally been a Bigfoot hotspot. Lon
