Latest November Southport Craft Fayre images

 

Southport Crafts, Arts and Preloved Items Fayre organisers held two fayres this weekend.

The first on Saturday 18th November was held at St Peter’s Church Hall in Birkdale and the second was their first Xmas fayre held at Crossens Community Centre on Sunday 19th.

Two Craft Fayres in Southport this weekend

 Southport Crafts, Arts and Preloved Items Fayre in Birkdale and Crossens this coming weekend  

Southport Crafts, Arts and Preloved Items Fayre organisers are holding their monthly fayre this Saturday at St Peter’s Church, 688 Liverpool Road, Southport. PR8 3NQ  

The fayre is open from 10.30am to 3.00pm. Refreshments and children's craft area available.  

St Peter’s Church are having two stalls with preloved items and a tombola. Funds raised are for the Church and Soup Kitchen, so please come along...

Firework fun - yet not for the wildlife and pets

 

Bonfire Night: It's always nice to see the bright colours in the cold night's sky, but what about the poor wildlife and pets? 

All great fun at the party yet the noise can have devastating effects on terrified animals. 

Hostile noise with deafening bangs from fireworks, which may be irregular remain outside an animal’s control. With fireworks this can be exceptionally stressful. Being unpredictable, as well as sporadic it makes it unlikely that animals will adjust to intermittent firework noise. ...

Ainsdale Craft Fayre today (4 November 2023).

 

All kinds of seasonal gifts, etc, were on sale today that were hand-made by skilled local crafters. 

A raffle was also held at the fayre by the ‘Ainsdale in Bloom, Village Bloomers’ team.

‘Southport Crafts, Arts and Preloved Items Fayre’ organisers are holding a fayre this Saturday at Ainsdale Methodist Church, 688 Liverpool Road, Southport. PR8 3NQ

The fayre is open from 11.00am until 2.00pm

Refreshments and children's craft area available

We have lots of stalls booked selling a great variety of, crochet/knitted items, handmade cards, handmade Glenpens, soft and cuddly pet cosies just in time to keep your pets warm for the winter, a digital 3D artist, silk flower arrangements, and...

Peace lies within – not from controlled herd mentality.

 

Peace must start within each individual. Harmony lies within us all – we cannot change the world unless we first learn to change ourselves.

History has taught those who will listen that peace will not and can never be obtained via blind religious fundamentalist doctrine or divisive political decree.

Peace may be shared via example with the individual showing the way. Alternatively, herd conformity is prone to risk and will not ever lead to peace. This latter fact is one that all pack leaders see...

Quran, Bible, and Torah – keeping the flames of war alive as always! - UPDATED.

 

As usual, the world and its manic inhabitants are running around biting each other like snakes in a bucket. You kill us and we'll slaughter you - the old battle cries and war drums are everywhere and they never stop banging away - but why? 

Labour leader Keir Starmer blurted that the amount of aid reachingGaza is “completely insufficient” and all parties need to ensure it reachesthose in need. Poor old Keir is now in a rather tricky 'damned if he does and damned if he doesn't' sort of position...
