TWO FINGERS UP TO OLDER PEOPLE

'So said the Daily Telegraph in its immediate response to the Budget yesterday, which failed to mention older people at all. But the majority of the media has been keen to welcome the National Insurance cut of a further 2%, and has downplayed that this is a tax-raising Budget as far as older people are concerned.'

HES came back – dreams 'can' come true!

After many years, one little boy’s great passion for a Citroen2CV ensured that an old car came back.

14 years ago, Jason's Southport family sold their 2cv Dolly, thinking itwould never return. However, they did not realise at the time that their son Jason’sobsession for the car would see it return, many years later.

Affectionately known as HES, the car’s ownership was trackedby Jason and after finally finding its latest location he purchased the car.

Jason always loved that car and it was a...

Labour councillor tells Ainsdale folk they are 'not' in Southport

An Ainsdale councillor (Janet Harrison) has abruptly told Ainsdale people that they are now ‘not’ a part of their home town Southport. Of course, this may be officially/politically true, yet I feel Labour’s bluntness herein will create a great deal of local tension.

Councillor Harrison used social media to drill this divisive point home and to also transparently promote her Labour colleague, MP Bill Esterson, as “Ainsdale’s next MP”.

The Human Touch – but where is it today?

Who exactly are the overpaid financial bullies in posh suits behind highly discriminatory bank counter service closures?
Stand up for what rights you have left today or tomorrow it will be too late!

Not everyone can manage the online banking methodology being enforced today. Some of us want to deal with humans - not machines!
Many vulnerable and elderly folks are struggling to assess cash, and banks are not listening to the real needs of their loyal customers. It may be your cash, yet these aut...

TELECOM COMPANIES ON THE RUN

Latest from Silver Voices

We inspired an article in the Daily Mail (see below) which is notable through a quote from Virgin Media stating that it had “paused all migrations to digital lines until additional improvements have been implemented”. Petition Demands Digital Voice R...
