About the Author:
Multi published author, Khloe Wren, started writing her first novel in high school, until it mysteriously disappeared from the family computer (her older brother was the lead suspect but nothing was ever proved). She didn't put pen to paper again after that for a number of years but she did keep reading. Khloe has always loved all things paranormal: sexy vampires and sultry shifters have always been her favorites. So when she picked up writing again, it seemed only natural to write paranormal romance.
Khloe lives in country South Australiawith her incredibly patient husband and two daughters. When she's not sitting at her laptop writing, she's spending time with family or friends, kicking butt at karate or feeding her addictions of reading, eating chocolate and drinking Coke.

Excerpt One
Becky turned to follow the others and ran straight into a warm wall of muscle. With an umph she stumbled back, but before she could fall and land on her ass, a strong arm wrapped around her middle.
"Easy there, little one."
The deep rumble in her ear lit her body up like a candle, while the words he spoke just pissed her off. At five foot seven and a size eighteen, she was not little by any ones standards.
"Get your hands off me." She ground the words out.
The arm around her waist tightened, his fingers splayed out over her tummy before he caressed his way over to her hip, and then slid it down over her ass before releasing her.
"As you wish, little one."
She spun to glare at this ogre of a man. "Stop calling me that. I am not little by any definition of the word."
She watched as his hot hazel gaze slid down her body, her nipples tightened as his gaze brushed over them. One purple eyebrow rose up, as he obviously noticed her body's reaction. He continued his visual journey all the way to her feet before heading back up. When his gaze locked back on hers she became breathless. Which pissed her off all over again. She was not some girly girl that tripped over herself because some hot guy showed some interest in her. Driving dump trucks around mines for the last few years had toughened her up even more than her four brothers had. Always a tomboy, Becky had never been able to stand macho-alpha-male bullshit. So many men thought they could strut around acting all tough and get whatever they wanted from whoever they wanted it from. Not on my watch baby, it just ain't. Gonna. Happen.
"But you are. Compared to me and my younger brother you are indeed little. I can look clean over your head."
Damn. The affect his velvety voice had on her was lethal. Suddenly, a warmth at her back got her attention. A large warm hand ran down her arm and took hold of her hand.
"Come, sweetheart, we need to head to the Dining Hall and get you fed. The others are waiting."
Sweetheart...did he just call me sweetheart? Oh, these two were heading for an ass kicking all right. She tried to snatch her hand back but he wouldn’t release her, he just began moving down the hall. She dug her heels in.
"Let. Me. Go."

Interview Questions:
1.      Where did the idea come from for the book? When a call went out for stories to be part of the Edible Delights anthologies I sat back and thought about what I could do. I went googling and found this beautiful image of a woman’s lips with honey dripping from them.
I love dragons so I choose them to be the shapeshifting animals and included the honeyed kiss in the mating ceremony. It was meant to be a one off story but within minutes of starting to write it I became aware that it needed to be a five part series. This current release is book two.2.      What genre does your book fall under? It falls under Paranormal (shape shifters) and erotic romance (ménage: mfm).3.      Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?
I can’t think of any actors that would suit the characters! The men are warriors of old, long hair, toned muscular bodies. Becky, the heroine is a large woman who is part Aboriginal. I will admit I don’t watch much TV so don’t know many actors.
Me: I couldn't find actors as well, but I think these Comic images gives us a good idea.
4.      What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?Becky finds herself surrounded by hunky dragon shifters after going through a portal. Two claim she’s their Desired! Pleasure follows adventure until she commits to them.(I know that’s three sentences, but I just couldn’t do it in one!)  - Me: That is all right Khloe.**smile**5.      Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?Dragons of Feury is with Secret Cravings Publishing.6.      How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript? This series are all short stories, around 20,000 words. I wrote the first draft in a matter of weeks. After years in the admin field I type really fast, so as long as I have the story in my mind, it doesn’t take me long to get it down.7.      What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?Bianca D'Arc writes some great dragon shifter books, as does Angela Castle.
8.      Who or What inspired you to write this book?As I said in the first answer, it was the call for the anthology that started my mind thinking about dragons and honey. I also wanted to challenge myself, write something outside my comfort zone.9.      What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest? My dragon shifters have a unique ability…Their tongues vibrate. I’ll let you fill in the gaps on how that could come in handy ;)Me: Oh my word, the image and....okay let me not get carried away **smile**

Today is “National Be Late For Something Day.” Some of us don’t need a special day for this. LOL We are always late. Are you one of those people? I confess to having my troubles getting to events on time.
For instance, my Pilates class begins at 10:30. It takes just under twenty minutes to get there from my house if I make all the green lights. Any logical thinking person would make sure to pull out of the garage at 10:10. I like to think of myself as a logical person. It says so on all of those personality inventories we are always taking. J
But you see, I’m a pretty busy person, and I almost always try to cram one more thing in before leaving. Just one more email to read. Write two more sentences. Read one more blog and comment. Delete a couple of emails. Take a moment and water those plants that are gasping. You know there is always one more thing to do.
Then I have to make the potty stop before I can get out of the house. I need to fill up my thermal cup with ice and water. Where are my sunglasses? The keys I’m pretty good about keeping hooked to my purse. Thank goodness. And heaven forbid I plan on making a stop before or after Pilates and have to make sure I have all of whatever for that task. Before we lost our puppies, I had to make sure all the doors were closed to every room possible to limit the places where they could get stuck. As they aged, the pups, especially our Jack Russell, became senile and just forgot where she was and what she was doing. L But the aging thing is topic for some other time.
Bottom line, instead of pulling out of the garage at 10:10 as I ought, it’s generally more like 10:15 or 10:17. The stress this causes is crazy. Do I get there late? Do I speed? No good answers. Guilt beats at me from all sides. I’m such a bad person!
You may be thinking I should just plan to leave five to ten minutes early. That would plug in up front some of the time that just seems to disappear. Kind of like folks who have trouble getting up on time. They set there clock to go off a couple of times before they actually have to get up.
My problem is I’m one of those work-a-holics you hear about. I get a lot of satisfaction out of all the things I accomplish in a day. You know the type. I have a list and check off the items. It’s great. But that does result in my trying to accomplish too much in any given amount of time, so I often run late, feel guilty, stressed, and frustrated. My DH doesn’t care for it too much either. J
So what about you? Are you the punctual one in your family? Is this is a day you can appreciate? Or are you more like me and need a day to encourage you to do things on time. What tricks do you use to be on time

Excerpt #1
Jill Barlow reached for her make-up kit and brushed against the one thing she’d been doing her damnedest to avoid. Her heart rate tripped into overtime.
It was the package she received days after her dad was murdered. That was one month ago, but she couldn’t face opening a reminder of the nightmare.
Pictures of her vigorous father mixed with recent images of his closed casket. Nausea hit. Again. Damn. Why would someone blow off her father’s head? She hadn’t stayed to find out. She’d run.
She’d pushed herself on a four-day trip from Texas to Vermont. Emotionally and physically exhausted, all she wanted to do now was unpack her pajamas and climb into bed. Habit required she clean and moisturize her face. Habit provided comfort when life was chaotic. Habit could get her through the worst. Or not.
She removed the package and dropped it onto the bed in her Woodstock Inn suite. It lay on the white coverlet like a scorpion.
Sweat drenched her palms. Hands propped on her knees, she leaned over and drew in needed oxygen. A minute passed, and then she straightened.
“Okay, open this. Every time you come across the thing, you implode, morphing into a quivering mass of mush.” Two years since her husband George died. Now a second murder, and Dad was gone. No wonder she’d lost the battle against stress and babbled out loud.

My 5 Star Review
I received this book from the touring host for an honest review.
Finally something to enjoy for my own age. Please do not understand me wrong, young love is beautiful and energetic and vital, but mature love brings another dimension to life, and in this case, a book, which I enjoyed.Compelling. Interesting. Suspense. As the plot unfolds, you are drawn into the life of Jill Barlow. Her fears and struggles as she tries to stay ahead of imminent danger. Protecting those she loves. You learn about her paranoia, how she handles starting over after the death of her husband. Sorting out her life while running from an unknown enemy. Plus buying a business with all its hiccups, and a budding new romance that have its own complications and joy. Jerrod Phillips the ideal man to be with her, but their first impressions of each other left them at a loss for words. Not sure where it will end. Age brings wisdom and with that also greater responsibility, care so that you do not find the head over the heels feelings as in younger romances. It is more subtle, more understanding giving it an edge that I have enjoyed. Thankfully we have a mother figure in Anne who helps them along with her genuine care for both the main characters. Bringing them together in a sly manner that worked...Okay I will not give any more than that away. **wink-wink**The author's easy writing style made this a wonderful story that you get lost in as the suspense grows.  From page to page you learn more about her life and challenges, her fears and accomplices. Her love for family and friends a driving force that kept her strong and resilient.Seeing that I do not come from America, I loved the descriptions of Vermont, the weather and the integral part it played in the day to day life setting. Making the story believable and interesting at all times. In all, a wonderful read with enough suspense to keep you guessing till the end with a beautiful conclusion that makes you believe that love is still possible at our age.

Book Excerpts
The Forbidden Secrets of the Goody Box What your father didn’t tell you and your mother didn’t know
Chapter 1 For the Love of Vincent
Sunday -morning service stirred Debra Hampton’s heart. The poignant message convinced her to resolve a matter that had her torn for almost a year. She had been undecided about whether to marry her live-in boyfriend, Vincent. He didn’t share her religious beliefs and refused to go with her to church, but she knew that he was the best man for her.
He laughed at her silly antics, talked with her about her ambitions and encouraged her to greatness. He made her the focal point of his life and involved her in every decision no matter how minute. But it was his touch that held her hostage, kept her toying with God’s love by giving herself to a man who was not her husband. With her head bowed to hide the free-flowing tears, she exited the church without speaking to anyone. She sat in her Mercedes S550, took a moment to freshen her makeup, expelled a sigh of relief. She looked to Heaven through the panorama sunroof, smiled, closed her eyes, gave thanks. The decision to accept Vincent’s proposal resonated; filled her with peace as she trusted the Lord with her soul mate.
The thirty-minute drive from the inner-city church to her suburban home gave her ample time to reflect upon the life they would build together: three children, business partnership and unlimited mind-blowing sex. The rush of blood to her southern bell—the name her mother called her vagina when she was a child—gave her pause. Fortunately, she was stopped at a red light. She clicked through the Sirius Satellite stations and then opted to enjoy tunes Vincent had downloaded to her iPod a few nights prior.
As she turned into Creekwood Estates—a lavish community north of Dayton—she admired the mansion-sized homes set hundreds of feet from the street. Manicured lawns featured rows of exotic trees, shrubbery and blooming flowers. Cobblestone driveways boasted luxury cars and backyards had customized gym sets or in-ground pools.
Her stucco and brick palatial home was small in comparison to those of her neighbors, but it was big enough for her family-to-be. She loved the side-entry, three-car garage because it camouflaged the unpacked moving boxes from passersby. She parked in the usual spot—closest to the mudroom door—and then she smiled wide. “He’s home.”Debra grabbed her purse and Bible and then jaunted into the house. She placed her belongings on the granite countertop, careful not to make noise. Since the television wasn’t locked on a sporting event, Vincent had to be resting in the master suite. A 3,500-square-foot home and he preferred the family room and bedroom.
She slipped off her stilettos, tiptoed up the stairs. Her heart beat faster with each step. She wiped her palms together to dry the sweaty moisture, pressed her ear to the door. His subtle snores seeped through. She giggled and then covered her mouth to halt the escape of more laughter. She opened the door, peeked in, swung it wide. “Vincent! What the devil?”
“Debra, what are you doing here?” After a quick dismount, he rummaged the floor for his Fruit of the Looms. “When’d you get home?”“Who is this woman and why is she in my bed?” She ran to the side of the bed, towered over her betrayer. Breath stalled in her throat, eyes widened. “Catherine!”Catherine—the first person to welcome Debra to the neighborhood—reached for her clothes, scurried to dress.
Debra lunged at her, snatched her by the ponytail, drew back her fist. Just as she connected with Catherine’s right jaw, Vincent grabbed Debra around the waist, pulled her away. She flailed her arms, kicked at his shins, head-butted him in the mouth. When he released her, she pursued Catherine who was halfway down the stairs, underwear in tow.
What Others Are Saying
"A brilliant writer. I love her work. The characters are so real, so rich and fleshed out so well. You hit the nail on the head with these women. Can I have the rights to the movie?"
Mother Love, TV and radio host of The Mother Love Show
"I started to skim through this book, but now I cannot put it down. This is an incredible book that all women must read."
Lexi, talk-show host of The Lexi Show as seen on The Word Network
"Coleman lays the hard-hitting arsenal out in the open in this refreshing and looong-awaited new spin on an ageless battle to tame the flesh! Goody Box is a woman's must-have, must-READ handbook. Goody Box will have you pledging heart-gasm before orgasm!"
Dr. Vivi Monroe Congress, author of Manna for Mamma and The Bankrupt Spirit

1.       Where did the idea come from for The Forbidden Secrets of the Goody Box?Like most women, when I had man problems, I talked with my girlfriends, sister and mother. Although the concern was genuine, the relationship advice was riddled with emotions, bad experiences and a twisted perspective on men. After consistently choosing Mr. Wrong and dealing with the consequences, I finally attracted a great guy to whom I have been married for almost twenty years. But here’s the catch: I did not know what I did differently to win his heart. I wanted to understand what actions led me down the aisle of matrimony while many of my girlfriends were still in distress about living single. So as I dug inwardly, I also researched and studied men for years. I got the scoop on man-cave, barber-shop, locker-room conversations normally off limits to women and developed the top three things every woman must know about men. The result was The Forbidden Secrets of the Goody Box.
2.       What genre does your book fall under? The Forbidden Secrets of the Goody Box is classified as chick lit. Readers dubbed it “the Black Sex in the City.”
3.       Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition? I love this question. When Mother Love, TV and radio host, said, “Can I have the rights to the movie?”, I pondered about the actors. The process was gruelling because I love movies and support African-American actors. Despite my desire to be on the set with all of the best, I would cast the roles as follows:Debra Hampton, the petite, successful attorney who cannot figure out why her philosophy on men isn’t working, would be played by Nia Long.
Sherry Harris, the recently unemployed engineer who mastered relationship advice, attracted her soul mate and is moving toward marriage would be played by Kerry Washington.
Rachel Nance Monroe, the self-made mogul who is in a not-so-satisfying marriage, would be played by Nicole Ari Parker.Brian Monroe, Rachel’s model-like husband who loves his wife, but has not figured out how to be the man of the house, would be played by Boris Kudjoe.Conrad Bateman, the office manager who protected Rachel’s business from sabotage and has the ability to predict her needs, would be played by Cuba Gooding, Jr.Doc Reed, the relationship guru who is a reformed ambusher committed to teaching women how to be men whisperers, would be played by Denzel Washington or Laurence Fishburne. The book has several other characters perfect for Morris Chestnut, Idris Elba, Terrence Howard, Anthony Mackie, Michael Ealy.… The actresses are of great importance, but the male actors came to me without effort.
      4.       What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book? The Forbidden Secrets of the Goody Box is an entertaining novel that enlightens and empowers women to build satisfying romantic relationships.
5.       Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency? The Forbidden Secrets of the Goody Box is published by Pen of the Writer.
6.       How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript? The first draft took about four months. After years of researching men, the characters and their lives leapt onto the paper.
7.       What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?Within the chick lit genre, none. No other fiction succeeds in offering women an entertaining and undeniably unique perspective on what your father didn't tell you and your mother didn't know. However, The Forbidden Secrets of the Goody Boxhas been compared to Steve Harvey's Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man and Michael J. Lockwood's Women Have All the Power - Too Bad They Don't Know It.
8.       Who or what inspired you to write this book? The inspiration came when I turned forty-something and experienced an unexpected transition in my mind and body. In 2007, as a presenter on a cruise for authors and artists, I committed to writing a book to help women better understand men.
9.       What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?Although it’s a novel, The Forbidden Secrets of the Goody Box has relevant, practical, proven relationship advice. Many of my readers have told me that the book changed their life. One reader indicated that by following the relationship advice, she met and married the love of her life. For their first anniversary, she sent me a picture of his gift to her: a BMW!The audio book, which is a production with a troupe of voice over talent, releases later this year. A Stellar-Award winning producer created an original theme song that speaks to the heart of women searching for real love. Samples can be enjoyed at www.TheGoodyBoxBook.com.As a result of the book, I have been contracted to conduct workshops, presentations and keynotes at churches, schools and organizations. Collaborating with fellow author and advocate for “girl power,” Karen M.R. Townsend, Ph.D., we created the Uterus Adventures (UAs) (www.TheUterusAdventures.com). UAs are ladies-only experiences and excursions designed for women who are willing to step outside their comfort zone to embrace the courage they never knew they had! These adventures are single-day events and weekend excursions that include empowerment workshops, a challenging adventure and time dedicated to debrief the experience.

Interview with Pavarti K Tyler author of White Chalk

I am priviledge to have award winner Pavarti K Tyler on my blog today. Speaking about her book White Chalk.

1. Where did the idea come from for the book?

Actually, Emlyn Chand originally contacted me about doing a collaboration. She had a loose idea for a book which we since scrapped where we would write alternating chapters. I sat down and wrote out Chelle and Mr. Harris’ first time together as an exercise, but when we decided not to do that project I couldn’t let her go and so White Chalk was born.

2. What genre does your book fall under?

Literary Fiction through and through. Some people seem to want to label it as YA but it isn’t. It certainly centers around a 13/14 year old girl going through coming of age experiences, but YA implies a PG-13 rating to me and White Chalk is decidedly NOT that.

3. Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?

Chelle Whitney: Hailee Steinfeld

Troy Christiansen: Nico Mirallegro

Xiu Pierce: Crystal Liu Yi Fei

Mr. Harris: Eric Stonestreet

Cat: Carey Mulligan

4. What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book? Chelle Whitney is desperate for someone to save her.

5. Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?

White Chalk was published by Evolved Publishing

6. How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?

It took six months to write White Chalk and another five to edit.

7. What other books would you compare this story to within your genre? -

She’s Come Undone by Wally Lamb - Lolita by Vladamir Nabokov - Gemma by Meg Tilly - White Orleander by Janet Fitch - Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher

8. Who or What inspired you to write this book?

White Chalk is the story of all the girls and children whose stories aren’t told. Who aren’t abused “enough” to garnish national attention, for all the lives lost or ruined because the adults responsible for their care either weren’t paying attention or abused the power they were entrusted with. White Chalk is not my story. But it could have been. It could have been yours. It might be the person sitting next to you on the bus tomorrow.

9. What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?

This story was in the news this week. For anyone who thinks Chelle’s story doesn’t happen or isn’t believeable, read this and tell me you aren’t outraged: Montana Judge apologize

Evolved Publishing presents an intimate glance inside teenage angst and confusion, and one talented but troubled girl's attempt to make sense of life, in the coming-of-age tale, "White Chalk," by award-winning author Pavarti K. Tyler. [Literary, New Adult, Women's Fiction]

Chelle isn’t a typical 13-year-old girl—she doesn’t laugh with friends, play sports, or hang out at the mall after school. Instead, she navigates a world well beyond her years.

Life in Dawson, ND spins on as she grasps at people, pleading for someone to save her—to return her to the simple childhood of unicorns on her bedroom wall and stories on her father’s knee.

When Troy Christiansen walks into her life, Chelle is desperate to believe his arrival will be her salvation. So much so, she forgets to save herself. After experiencing a tragedy at school, her world begins to crack, causing a deeper scar in her already fragile psyche.

Follow Chelle’s twisted tale of modern adolescence, as she travels down the rabbit hole into a reality none of us wants to admit actually exists.
EDITORIAL REVIEW:
"There is nothing improbable about 'White Chalk,' a story of a teenager whose family was down on its luck before the recession hit and whose ability to pay attention to their daughter is as meager as their finances. Chelle, smarter, prettier, quicker witted, and more engaging than she has a clue, is alone in a world stacked against her. Her solution is to change herself to find love, or at least diminish her loneliness, as she says, “I reflected back the light shining on me, empty but for the image of another.” We root for Chelle in spite of her bad choices, and bad luck rapidly turning pages so eager for her to solve her problems.

"Pavarti K. Tyler has taken a brave position; this gripping novel breaks every rule and escapes customary boundaries. It is genre-less and difficult to pigeonhole. Is it a coming of age story? Young adult? New spin on crazy teenage romance? Psychological horror? Cautionary tale? No label, other than literary fiction, exactly fits. Yet Tyler’s eye for what happens to many of our teenagers, and the psychological burdens of growing up too fast, too ignored, too alone, too poor are spot on and insightful." ~ Ann Pearlman, Pulitzer Prize Nominee and Author of "The Christmas Cookie Club."

EDITORIAL REVIEW:
"Tyler combines shades of 'Lolita' and 'Catcher in the Rye' in a completely new way, drawing you in with poignant characterizations. 'White Chalk' goes deep into teenage angst with understanding and clarity. Savor, share, and use this poignant book as a primer on the brutal effects of abuse, neglect, and self-esteem." ~ Rachel Thompson, Award-Winning Author of "Broken Pieces"

Book Barrage for Vampires Need Not....Apply? by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. The book we all be waiting for.

Available now for ONLY $0.99 at:
Amazon:  / B&N: / Kobo:
Description:This is book 4 in the New York Times and USA Todaybestselling paranormal romance Accidentally Yours series.
Meet Dr. Antonio Acero. Heir to Spain’s wealthiest family, world-renowned physicist, and dedicated bachelor. While on vacation in southern Mexico, Antonio discovers an ancient Mayan tablet. Local legends say it contains magical properties, properties that could put his stalling research on the map.
But is this really his lucky break?
When Antonio attempts to put the tablet to use, he'll discover that Fate has other plans. Her name is Ixtab, and she’s quite possibly the deadliest deity who ever lived.
Warning: This title is intended for readers over the age of 18 as it contains adult sexual situations and/or adult language, and may be considered offensive to some readers.

Excerpt:“What an idiot,” the woman growled. “By the way, there’s nothing wrong with the package—you still have your gorgeous face. And that body. Hell, you’re a crime against female nature and should be shot on the spot for being so beautiful. Sadly, I can’t say the same for what’s on the inside. In fact, you’re disgusting.”
“What the…?”
“Don’t act surprised,” she said. “I know how you use women then throw them away. And I’m here to warn you: if you continue your cheap man-whoring ways, I will hunt you down and pluck out your gonads. Got it?”
Man whore? Gonads? He had no clue how to respond.
“Let’s get on with the show, shall we, Romeo?” she said.
Who was this woman? She sounded crazier than he did. “And what show would that be?” he asked.
“Does that pathetic brain of yours still work? Because I heard you’re supposed to be smart. You don’t sound so smart to me.”
Santa Maria. She was ruthless. No way was she a doctor or psychologist; she was pinche loca. “Who the hell are you?”
“Shut up before I change my mind. Teen uk’al k’iinam. Teen uk’al yah.” A pair of hands hit his chest, jolting him like a defibrillator.
His back painfully arched and each muscle in this body went rigid with the blistering heat. The air filled with the scent of fresh cut daisies and fragrant vanilla, and the heaviness lifted from his chest. It was as though a dark cloud had been sieved from his soul. Clean air entered his lungs, giving him quarter to breathe again. Memories, happy ones, flooded his heart—playing hide and seek with this brother in the Spanish vineyards during summer, scuba diving in the Mediterranean, the paella at his favorite little restaurant in the town near his home in Penedès.
“What did you do?” he whispered into the abyss.
“I saved your sorry ass, but not so you can continue your dude-slutting. Got it? You will take this chance I’ve given you to do bigger and better things—one of which will be going back to work on that tablet.”
“How do you know about the tablet?” It was a secret.
“I’m a spy for the government. We know everything,” she said as though she was overwhelmed by boredom.
“Here.” She shoved a card in his hand. “Once you’re home, call this number. They’ll send you a tutor and an assistant. And yes, Einstein, the number is written in braille. I’m also having the landlord install a braille phone and set up your computer. The tutor will come to reteach you to read. And before you thank me, you should know that I accidentally killed your cat. I’m really sorry but it…”
Antonio’s mind whirled as the woman apologized profusely for murdering his cat—something about it getting loose and jumping out a window?—and then proceeded to hurl endless, demeaning insults peppered with every swear word in the English language along with a few choice words in Spanish, too. She was so…damned horrible and bitter! The sourest, most cantankerous female he’d ever met. A thousand sailors could not compete with her sharp edges and unfiltered mouth. And yet, she was strangely alluring.
“So,” she took a breath, “you got it? Comprende, señor Acero?”
“Uh…yes?”
“Good. My work here is done. Have a happy life, ass ho—I mean, Antonio.”
“Wait! You’re leaving?” he sat up in bed.
“Sorry. Gotta get back to saving lives and all. And by the way, Tony, we’d all appreciate it if you’d get back to work on the tablet before the world blows up.”

AUTHOR BIO:
“I used to be a full time teacher (11-13 year olds) then I became a full time mother. During that time I also found my passion for writing. Over the last ten years I have been studying the craft and putting myself out there.
My first trilogy came out in November, 2011. It has been a wild ride swimming in this indie river and I have loved so much of it. I have learned so many amazing things and met so many great people. It has totally solidified the fact I want to be a writer for as long as I possibly can!
I now have five books published and am working on a new YA Fantasy trilogy for 2013. I am having so much fun with it and can't wait to share it with everybody.
I am from New Zealand, but am currently living in China with my husband and two sons. It has been a culture shock, but it's pretty cool living in such a different country.” ~Melissa Pearl
