Description:Heather has everything she ever wanted; money, clothes, friends, popularity and parents that adored her. One terrible day, she is uprooted to a small town in Alabamawith an uncle she doesn’t know.

Heather didn’t think things could get worse until a tornado comes and blasts through the small town. Heather has to lose herself to rediscover what life is all about. She meets two guys that she can’t decide between who she really wants.
Join Heather as she discovers that there is more to life than money and fame. Will Heather ever fit in and find true love or will she stay an outsider living in the south?

LINK TO SCHEDULE:

Excerpt:Heather was awakened by the sound of her alarm. Today is the first day of the rest of my life, she thought as she stretched and yawned. She jumped up out of her bed, hit the silence button on the alarm, and went to her closet to pick out her clothes for the day. After looking through all her clothes, she sighed deeply.
What can I wear to this illiterate, rustic school. If I dress up, then people will think I’m a snob and snub me. If I dress down, then I will blend into the crowd, and I will not be able to accomplish anything. I guess I have my answer. I need to be seen in order to make a difference, whether good or bad.
Heather picked out her black leather skirt, a white dress shirt, a black fringed soft leather jacket and her black leather boots. At least I’m wearing boots, that way I’ll blend in somewhat, she thought. She styled her hair the way she always did and put on her makeup with a little more emphasis than usual.
Heather heard a knock on the door, “Yes, what do you want?” she asked. “I’m going to be outside. My cotton pickin’ cow, Molly, got out of the fence, and I have to round her up. Be back after a while,” Mick said through the door. “All right, but I’m leaving in a few minutes, so I’ll see you after school,” Heather replied.
“Okey dokey, see ya later,” Mick responded.
“Okey dokey! I can’t believe I’m living with a redneck, dirt farmer,” she said as she rolled her eyes. Heather glanced at the alarm, “Crap, I’m going to be late”, she said as she grabbed her purse and ran out the door. The door slammed behind her as she ran to the car. She looked around for Mick, but didn’t see him anywhere. I guess he’ll realize I’m gone when he doesn’t hear from me, she thought.
As Heather drove down the narrow gravel road she looked for the right road to take to get her to the school. She saw Mick with a belt whipping his cow. “Now I’m seen everything,” she said as she laughed.
As Heather approached the school, a green ford truck ran right in front of her. She paused for a second after giving him the finger. I can’t believe these idiots, she thought. She pulled into the parking space closer to the front of the school, and she looked over to the green pickup truck.
A scruffy looking guy with long hair climbed out of the truck. “You need to watch where your going. This ain’t New York, this is my town,” he said very hatefully with a smirk on his face. “No, you need to watch where you are going, you hick. You’re the one who ran in front of me,” Heather replied as she pointed her finger at him. Heather was a little tougher than she looked. She wasn’t going to let some corn fed hillbilly talk to her like that.
“How do you know I’m from New York anyway?” she asked.
“That is for me to know and you to find out,” he replied as he turned away from her.
Heather wasn’t used to people treating her this way, especially boys. She was the most popular girl in the whole school at Manhattan High School. Now she was in a place that was oblivious to the fact that she wore an eighteen hundred dollar Armani jacket and Louboutin boots. How can anyone not care about fashion, she thought. Fashion is what made her so popular. Everyone in Manhattan wanted what she had. She was the envy of all the girls at her school. Now she felt like she was an outsider looking in through a dark stained glass and no one could see her.

My 5 Star Review

I received the book from the Touring Host for an honest review.
Standing applause for this well written fast paced thriller! The ending had me dumbfounded, I just did not see it coming. The author's cunning writing kept me glued to the book as I read this book in one sitting. The intriguing world of teachers and pupils stepped up a notch with this thought provoking, and mind blowing thriller. You get so engrossed with the main character Cameron Baldridge life, his career, and that of his pupils that you are genuinely caught by surprise at the end. I do not want to give the plot away since it would spoil the whole surprise, but the magnitude of this man's actions and decisions made this story alive, believable and entertaining. His constant struggle with a young woman he met while still in his teenage years ultimately set him on a course of exploration and love, always looking for the right woman, and every time he thought this is the one it back-fires on him big time. The supporting roles of Hayley his fiance, John his mentor, Nikki, Samantha and Melani as some of his students made a huge impact on the story. Each had the ability to draw you in and keep you attention as the plot unfolds. With well written craftiness and interesting scenes the story draws you into his world and at times I pity Cam, and at times I wanted to shake him out of pure frustration. His obvious romantic heart and ideas trapped him in secrets and lies that he could not get away from, and at the end it cost him dearly.Nobody Has to Know a well fitting name for the book as his life unravels into a cesspool of dirty and unforgivable consequences that will take you by surprise.

I also broke into Amazon's top 100 Horror Writers last week at #99 albeit only for an afternoon as the chart is updated hourly and I leapfrogged Clive Barker for a short while which seemed bizarre.
2013 has been a breakthrough year for me so far as I have been self-publishing for a little over a year now and I have started making a living this year with book sales of well over 11,000 so far. Which seems pretty huge for someone with no literary educational background and in a worldwide self-publishing market which is so massive and competitive.

Today Myckelle P Williams grace my blog with her book Choosing the Road Less Traveled

Myckelle P. Williams,

Author “Choosing the Road Less Traveled: Finding Grace on the Path to Purpose”
What advice can you give first time authors?
   1)      Just Write!Writing is like a muscle that you must exercise daily in order for it to stay strong and effective. Whether its journals, a blog, or a monthly column for an online magazine…as a writer you should always find opportunities to use your craft, and grow your audience.     2)      Keep a Schedule. Whether you outline your stories in advance, or simply ‘free-style’, the key is consistency. In my own experience, setting a daily schedule to include writing time was extremely helpful. My husband kept me accountable, and made sure that I didn’t get off task. Choosing a quiet area to write in, and scheduling daily uninterrupted time is key to finishing what you start. Find opportunities to write whenever you can. Become a blogger, an online magazine guest poster, a columnist. There are many places available online for you to contribute, and some even pay you to write! 3)      Keep learning your craft. There is a variety of workshops, classes and tele-seminars that you can attend to learn more about technique, style and improvement. Many of them are free, and hosted by professional authors that have knowledge of the book industry. Take advantage of these as opportunities for growth. I was surprised at how much I didn’t know starting off! 4)      Making contacts is key when ready for publishing. Take advantage of social media, such as Facebook. Twitter, and LinkedIn, which have thousands of writing groups. Asking around to people you know that have already published something for advice. Join writers circles, and book clubs. These are the people that will eventually purchase your books, and usually, many of these sources are willing to share their tips and contacts once you join.5)      Be prepared to invest in your craft. To be honest, self-publishing your book will cost at least $1,000, including cover design, interior design, editors, and internet fees. That is not including website development and logo, branding and marketing costs. But many people will work with you, and work out payment arrangements. It’s up to you to search for the best rates, and count the cost as an investment into your dreams.6)      Never give up! Famous Author John Grisham was rejected by 16 agents and 30 publishers before his work was given a chance. Failure is not in the rejection, but staying down, and giving up. If you really want to write, and truly have a passion for it: be willing to stick with it and never, ever give up! Remember, “You can do ALL things through Christ which strengthens you!” (Phil. 4:13)

About The Book Born in an environment of drugs, sex, broken relationships, and parental neglect, 18-year-old Myckelle Williams eventually faced a major crossroads in her own life, and the prospect of becoming a statistic, as a desperate teenager unexpectedly pregnant with her second unplanned child.  Like so many young women across America, she found herself literally at a ‘fork in the road’ while travelling life’s path.  Myckelle soon discovers that each choice in life come with a heavy price to pay, and is forced to decide whether or not to end her unplanned pregnancy. You will be amazed as Myckelle tells how one uncommon act of unselfish love by total strangers helped her to discover forgiveness, break generations of dysfunction, and walk away from destructive cycles that enabled her to change her life, and family, from the inside out.
Join Myckelle on a journey of hope, healing, and finding love in unexpected places, that include powerful life lessons for the reader with each new chapter.
By pulling from Robert Frost’s poem, ‘The Road Not Taken’, you will be led on a journey of self- discovery, forgiveness, and the impact of everyday choices.  Her story of faith, courage, and victory over circumstance, contains powerful illustrations for women of all ages, races, and backgrounds, which provide guidance in creating new traditions and generational patterns in your own family, as well as breaking old strongholds and family patterns that threaten to keep you and your children from the Purpose that God intended. As she struggles with often agonizing acceptance of the consequences of her own choices, you too will be inspired to reflect on your own past decisions, and through her heartache learn about the miracle of life’s true purpose...and discover the unconditional reality of God’s unfailing love.

PROLOGUE
Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I set you apart for my holy purpose...I appointed you to be a prophet to the nations. ~Jeremiah 1:5 “I’d like to make an appointment...for an abortion.” Desperation and shame filled my voice, and I hoped the lady on the other end didn’t know me or my parents. “How many weeks are you? When was your last period?” The lady on the other end asks, seemingly not surprised, sounding more annoyed than anything else. I gave her the dates she requested, asking “How much will that cost?” Annoyed sigh. “You are fourteen-and-a-half weeks. Well, the process will be much longer because you are further along, but it will be $375 total.” “Do you take Medicaid?” “Yes.” “When can I come in? “Tuesday at 8 a.m.“Do I need to bring anything?” “Just your money, or Medicaid card, proof of pregnancy. And a ride home.” I hung up and looked at my boyfriend. How were we going to afford that? We could barely afford to take care of our eleven month old son, the child I had had less than a year ago at age seventeen. “It’s cool.” He told me. “My sister has Medicaid. We can use her card. You just use her name and info.”
My 5 Star review
I received this book from the Tour Host for an honest review. I was wondering what will be revealed in this autobiography of this person, the reason I love to read autobiographies is that you get an insight in to their life normally not seen by other people. As I open the first page I was immediately drawn into the life of Myckell Williams. She was facing an uphill battle with parents that were two opposites. She fell pregnant at a very tender age, and soon found herself pregnant again not long after her son was born, and it was quite devastating. Confronted with the choice to abort or not she had a particularly volatile back ground her reference to do the right thing was over shadow by her parents different life styles but in all this there was a young teacher that taught her the principles of the Word of God. She did not fully understand, but that has ultimately helped her to make the right choice. When she cried out in her confused state, the Lord opened a door into a well balanced family that took her in without question, but with certain guiding rules. She experienced that life is not always as it seems the choices you make affects it positively or negatively. She became aware of God’s love for her and made the choice stay celibate until she is actually married. What also came out in this story is how the Christian believe was watered down, and she experienced the truth by studying the Bible and allowing the Holy Spirit to show her. As the story unfolds the choices she made, and people she met had a great impact on her life. What really stood out in this life story of Myckell is that she placed God first and listen to His Word that have changed her love, and the choices that was made is affecting a lot of people around her. To go against the norm and change history by living a life different than what she was brought up in, we do not have to conform to the world but be obedient to God. All I want to say is this is a heart touching thought provoking eye opener life story. I am glad Myckelle that you where obedient to the leading of the Spirit to write this life story so that many lives can be touch with this act of obedience and give people hope, though your life was not easy God made it possible.

Excerpt:A woman moved in front of the camera, pushing the reporter out of the way with her body, before grabbing the microphone from his slack grip. Her face was pale, but her dark eyes were filled with determination as she stared into the lens. She got right to the point.
“Don't let this reporter sugarcoat this with his evasions. There are dead people walking out there, and they are fast, deadly, and supernaturally strong. There is a name for them, one we've heard before but thought was only fiction. These dead people are zombies, and they don't care about nothing but getting their teeth into your flesh.”
The reporter tried to grab the microphone back, but she shot him a deadly look. “You're not getting this till I'm done,” she told him in a firm voice. “I'm not gonna stand by while you get your five seconds of fame and leave these innocent people out there to die. People deserve to know what they are up against, and how to protect themselves. Now back off.” Surprisingly, he stood still and listened.
She turned back to the camera. “I know there are some of you out there that don't believe in this. You wanna box it all up, neat and tidy-like, and believe that there must be some rational explanation for this, and come morning it will all be gone. If you believe that though, you're going to find yourself dead before the sun ever hits the sky tomorrow.”

The problem is he no longer remembers her, his memories erased by Norns—Norse destiny deities—to punish her for defying them. She will make Torin forget his one rule a second time and fall in love with her all over again. But she quickly learns that well-laid plans do not work when dealing with deities and supernatural beings. Desperate, Raine makes choices that could not only tear her and Torin further apart, but lead to the destruction of everything and everyone she loves.

EXCERPT

“Hey, you’re crushing my ribs,” he teased. “I missed you guys.” I stepped back and grinned sheepishly. “Oh, that explains the endless phone calls and texts,” he teased. “Don’t they have reception on those boats?” Cora laughed. “I asked her the same thing. Gotta go. See you two later.” She hugged me again then briefly squeezed Eirik’s hand, their fingers lingering. Eirik noticed my gaze on their hands and flushed, but Cora was already racing back toward the stairs. Maybe I didn’t have to play Cupid after all. “We need to talk,” Eirik said, drawing my attention back to him. “Yes, we do.” We never officially ended our attempt at being boyfriend and girlfriend. It was time for me to bow out. He and Cora would be great together. “After school?” “I’ll stop by tonight.” He threw me another grin. I waved, turned and looked toward the end of the hallway where I’d last seen Torin and Lavania, but they were gone. In fact, the hallway was empty. I entered my classroom. “It’s nice to have you back, Ms. Cooper,” Mrs. Bates, my math teacher said, eying me with narrowed eyes from above the rim of her glasses. “I’m sure you haven’t forgotten I can’t stand tardiness in my class.” “I didn’t forget, Mrs. Bates,” I said. “Good. We have two new students, so use any empty desk.” Lavania smiled at me from my old position at the front of the class. I gave her a tiny smile. An empty desk was by Torin’s. Our eyes met. He studied me as though I was a new species he couldn’t figure out. “Don’t keep the class waiting, Ms. Cooper. Please, take your seat.” Exhaling, I made my way to the back of the class. Students turned and stared. The ones near my desk leaned away as though to put as much distance between them and me as humanly possible. My face red, I slid behind my desk and pulled out my textbook. I had no idea how much I had missed, but I was sure it was a lot.

My 5 Star REVIEW

I received the book from the Tour Host for an honest review.

This is the second book in the Runes Series, and at first I was at a loss since I have not read the first book, but as the story unfolded it became clear, and I could enjoy the read. The author giving you flashbacks from book one throughout the book.
Interesting and entertaining the story developed on a fast pace thread and you are drawn into the lives of seventeen year old Raine and her friends. Learning to cope after the ordeal of a serious incident at school and the consequences that followed. I found Raine a remarkable young woman with so much love to give, fighting for those she loved. Her wit and stubbornness made her a caring individual that was not ashamed to stand up for what was right. All her friends benefited from this, but at the end she had to admit that one friend was not whom she seems to be and that derailed her for awhile until her tenacity raised and the day was won.
Torin, sexy hunk, gentleman, caring, honest, protective with enough heated love to make a girl swoon. He is that good **smile**. His Valkyrie skills made him stand out above the crowd with enough arrogance to either clock him over the head or smile at his cockiness. Their love conquering the loss as they got to know each other once again.
Eirik, Raine's a long time friend had his own demons to confront, his life the plot of the book. His heritage a burning question as intriguing scenes build ever slowly to give you a glimpse of the person he is. At the end Raine's undying love for her friend saved him and Cora, reaffirming that friendship is strength you can count on, no matter the odds.
I loved the quirky comebacks of Andris, friend of Torin, and a Valkyrie. Saving the day and a unexpected shoulder for Raine. Lavania, trainer and friend, the 3 Norns which always stayed at the back but caused commotion and confusion where ever they went. Her parents, the strength they betrayed, supported Raine as her own destiny unfolds, and helped her to stay steady.
Each element and character add up to the story as it came alive on the pages as you learn about the gods in Mythology, deities, Valkyries and seeress, each brought their own unique twist to the plot line. Not stopping until you came to the final page. With enough suspense to keep you guessing.

My 4 Star Review:

I have received this book from the Tour Host for an honest review.

No strings attached relationships that back fires, the main topic of this book. And proof once again that it can not work. As emotional creatures, we become attached to another no matter how much we say to ourselves we are emotional uninvolved. It is a lie that quickly twists and turn so that you are forced to deal with the emotional side. I always said that sex is great but trying to fool yourself that you can walk away after giving yourself physically is foolish, it never works, especially from a woman's perspective.
The author did a great work in creating the characters of Grayson and Derrick, showing this truth once again. Both had emotional baggage, both ran away instead of working through it, and when they met the chemistry that they felt turned into complications, jealousy and a tug of war. Not realizing that they are playing with fire in concealing certain truths to each other. Standing at a grave they realized that they had to be honest and truthful to each other to make this work. Admitting their growing feelings as something real.

A great story, well written as you follow their lives, the decisions they made and the emptiness it caused through out. The supporting roles of Luna as her twin sister and her brother, Ethan made the story believable and entertaining. Walking away from an abusive relationship you learn about her strength and determination not to be drawn in another relationship again. Standing up and moving forward, growing as a person in her own right.
Derrick although much older than Grayson was not a good friend to her, hiding truths that caused more problems. Although an excellent lover, I had to agree with Luna - Stay. Away. But after the near death incident I could connect with him as he tried to reach out and finally admit the truth.
A wonderful contemporary romance just right for that time when you are looking for something good to read that will raise the temperature and entertain you with enough drama but not overbearing.
