DID YOU KNOW?? The first SEMA show was held in 1967 under the grandstands of Dodger Stadium. It had 98 booths and 3,000 guests. It moved to the Anaheim Stadium in 1974 and then to the Las Vegas Convention Center in 1977! Yea, baby!

HAWAII 5-O, Corky, SEMA REVEAL, Classics & Marianne!
AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE is vast here at the FTG… and today’s no different starting with Fireball’s HAWAII 5-O MERCURY MASTERPRINT! Jack Lord whipped this baby around the Islands to put an end to Crime… and they shuddered when they saw him coming. TAKE A PEEK!
DID YOU KNOW?? The term “Five-0” is a slang term for the police. The nickname comes from Hawaii being the 50th state to join the union. While it’s not accurate, the nickname became popular with fans and is still used today. JACK LORD lived in Beverly Hills when he was asked at the last minute to read for the part of McGarrett. He read for it on Wednesday, flew to Hawaii on Friday, and was in front of the cameras the following Monday!!

Let’s wrap up a SUCCESSFUL WEEK with some Classic Coolness! How about an all-new 1965 CHEVY CORVAIR MONZA for the Corvair Enthusiasts? PLUS… Check out the awesome new CORVAIR AT ANY SPEED TEE! This was Tony Dow’s Favorite Car! WATCH US DO THE SPIN!
DID YOU KNOW?? The CORVAIR was the first mass-produced American car with a turbocharged engine. The 1962 Spyder was one of the first vehicles in the US to offer factory turbocharging and it was the first GM car to feature unibody construction with welded front fenders! In his 1965 book “Unsafe at Any Speed,” consumer activist Ralph Nader criticized the Corvair’s swing-axle rear suspension, claiming it made the car more prone to rollovers. However… the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration later found no such handling problems. “See ya later, Nader…”

DID YOU KNOW?? Dan Aykroyd came up with the idea for GHOSTBUSTERS after reading an article about parapsychology and quantum physics, and watching movies like Ghost Chasers. His original idea was to set the movie in the future, with an army of Ghostbusters fighting ghosts. In October of ’24, director Gil Kenan confirmed that a sequel is in development!! Kenan and Jason Reitman have also discussed ideas for other future films in the franchise… including expanding on the Mini-Pufts storyline.

There’s an new TRON MOVIE in the works! “TRON: ARES” follows a highly sophisticated Program… Ares, who is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission… marking humankind’s first encounter with actual A.I. beings. A standalone sequel to Tron: Legacy (2010) and the third installment in the Tron film series, it is directed by Joachim Rønning from a screenplay by Jesse Wigutow and Jack Thorne. Disney has announced Nine Inch Nails will be creating the upcoming ‘Tron: Ares’ movie soundtrack, replacing Daft Punk and it will star Jeff Bridges! Slated for Oct 10th Release.
