STALLONE COBRA MERC, Barris, Bats, Rats & Monsters!

Howdy, folks! Fireball hit 7 Car Shows this weekend and snaps will be coming this week… but for now, it’s the STALLONE COBRA MERC!! A super cool MASTERPRINT for your Garage or Office depicting the awesome Merc from the film… thus making your Garage or Office AWESOME!!!

DID YOU KNOW?? The COBRA MERC was chopped… had a double-scooped hood and was fitted with a 383 Chevrolet small block engine, a 400 Turbo Hydraulic transmission, and 4-wheel brakes. It also had a NOS 4-barrel Holley carburetor and a Weiland 144 supercharger. Three fully customized 1950 Mercury Monterey Coupes were built for the movie, with one used for the actor-driven scenes and the other three used for stunts. And DESTROYED. The movie was filmed on location in LA, Long Beach, and Piru, CA.

Also in today’s blast, a vintage shot of Fireball and buddy George Barris in Hollywood, an original BAT SKETCH actually done while Fireball was at Walt Disney Imagineering in 1991, the BATMISSILE, and Fireball’s FRANKENBERRY MUG! Out now!!

CAPTAIN SCARLET, Vettes, Bel Air, Classic Trucks & Bats!

Our goal here at the Fireball Tim Garage is to give the BEST in AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE! And today, that includes the infamous CAPTAIN SCARLET & THE MYSTERONS!

DID YOU KNOW?? Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons was a British sci fi TV series created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson (Thunderbirds) and filmed by their production company Century 21 for ITC Entertainment. It was the sixth Anderson series to be filmed using a form of electronic marionette puppetry dubbed SUPERMARIONATION combined with scale model special effects. Thirty-Two 25-minute episodes and set in the year 2068, it was first broadcast on ITV regional franchises between 1967 and 1968 and has since aired in more than 40 other countries, including the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. And now, Fireball has done the Cap’s SPECTRUM PATROL CAR as an awesome MASTERPRINT!!

Happy Sunday! Today, it’s the OVIST 1954 CUSTOM CHEVROLET COUPE!! If you’ve been following along the Fireball Blog, you’ll know that this is AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE… at it’s best!

This car has a very unique history and was Commissioned by Gregg Ovist of GEEZUP in Arizona… now a MASTERPRINT in the Garage! Gregg won the BENEDICT CASTLE George Barris Legacy Award with this Coupe last year and Fireball will be on hand this coming May to see more!

POLICE TRIBUTE, Kevin Hart, Flying Woodie & Shagalicious!

Today, we lay tribute to a fallen hero… and as normally, you’d get nothing but POSITIVE VIBES here in the Garage, Fireball was approached by Steve Johnston of DIECAST SUPERCON in Vegas for this FORD EXPLORER POLICE CRUISER.

“Sergeant Thomas Sanfratello died after after responding to a dispute between two patrons at one of the Batavia Downs Casino’s bars at 8315 Park Road in Batavia. He lost his life in the service of his duty… Sergeant Sanfratello had served with the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office for 32 years and had twice been recognized as Officer of the Year. He is survived by his son, two daughters, mother, two sisters, nieces, and nephews.” Sergeant Sanfratello’s CRUISER is now immortalized in the Garage with 100% or proceeds going to the Families.

Fireball has done a LOT of Ferraris over the years, but it all started with this Classic FERRARI 250GT 1959 Commission that was done for a celebrity in Malibu. And now it’s available as an all-new MASTERPRINT… and more! Which Supercar would you have Fireball do for YOUR Garage? DID YOU KNOW?? The iconic Black Stallion Logo was bestowed upon Ferrari by the mother of a famous Italian pilot named Francesco Baracca. The Countess requested that he use the emblem on his race cars. Obliged, Ferrari continues to use the logo but slightly altered to have a yellow background for all cars. The last car to receive Enzo’s personal approval was the iconic Ferrari F40!

EVENTS are coming for the Holidays starting with WHEELS AND WAVES on October 6th! (See the SCHEDULE here!) But included in Fireball’s itinerary is a new TRUNK OR TREAT with Channel Islands Harbor, the Los Angeles HOT WHEELS CONVENTION in October, SEMA in November and THE DIECAST SUPERCON VEGAS in February!
