You can hop on a bus at the North Bus Station and be there in just 45-60 minutes for only 1 JD per person. Spring (March to May)Jerash is a fantastic place to visit in the spring. The weather is perfect, not too hot or too cold, with temperatures ranging from 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F). You’ll be amazed by the beautiful flowers that are in full bloom throughout the city and its attractions. REPORT: Top Democrats and Donors Seeking to Replace Joe Biden After Seeing Campaign Pace (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit | by Cullen Linebarger
If CNN is to believed, many prominent Democrats are prepared to force Joe Biden out of the 2024 Presidential race.
The news network revealed that top-level party officials and donors, alarmed by Biden’s slow campaign pace, are making calls to some possible replacement candidates who they feel can defeat the 2024 GOP nominee. They also sense that the 80-year-old Biden is not actually running for re-election despite announcing back in April.
Polling at this point shows that former President Trump will likely prevail for a third straight time in the GOP primaries and face the eventual Democrat nominee.
CNN reported:
The conversations keep happening – quiet whispers on the sidelines of events, texts, emails, furtive phone calls – as top Democrats and donors reach out to those seen as possible replacement presidential candidates.
Get ready, they urge, in conversations that aides to several of the people involved have described to CNN: Despite what he has said, despite the campaign that has been announced, President Joe Biden won’t actually be running for reelection.
They feel like time is already running out and that the lack of the more robust campaign activity they want to see is a sign that his heart isn’t really in it.
Biden officials, unsurprisingly, are scoffing at the idea of him not running for another term and claim that he is being underestimated. They also argue that they are taking all preparations seriously.
But CNN notes that the Biden campaign is experiencing major fundraising struggles especially from large donors. Even worse for Joe, grassroots Democrats are not pitching in to rescue him.
Some things are already clear: multiple big donors aren’t locking in. Grassroots emails are sometimes bringing in just a few thousand dollars.
The comments from one senior Democrat to CNN were brutal to Biden and his campaign team. Note the reference to the arguably Biden’s biggest vulnerability: his age.
It’s a crapshoot, this election, and when it’s a crapshoot, you have to do everything possible. It cannot be done when the guy’s 80 years old and has his day job.
As Fox News noted, the article’s author, CNN reporter Edward-Isaac Dovere, appeared on the network Thursday to discuss his exclusive report. During his segment, Dovere appeared to run cover for Biden by claiming the idea of him dropping out was “conspiracy thinking.”
Like there’s not enough going on. Fundraising’s not where it needs to be. How are we gonna do this? Trump is maybe coming back. So much is on the line here. And it’s even fed this conspiracy thinking in some people that maybe his heart’s not really in it. That’s what’s going on. He’s going to drop out.

Chasing defamatory hallucinations, FTC opens investigation into OpenAI

OpenAI, best known for its ChatGPT AI assistant, has come under scrutiny by the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) over allegations that it violated consumer protection laws, potentially putting personal data and reputations at risk, according to The Washington Post and Reuters.
As part of the investigation, the FTC sent a 20-page record request to OpenAI that focuses on the company’s risk management strategies surrounding its AI models. The agency is investigating whether the company has engaged in deceptive or unfair practices, resulting in reputational harm to consumers.
The inquiry is also seeking to understand how OpenAI has addressed the potential of its products to generate false, misleading, or disparaging statements about real individuals. In the AI industry, these false generations are sometimes called “hallucinations” or “confabulations.”
In particular, The Washington Post speculates that the FTC’s focus on misleading or false statements is a response to recent incidents involving OpenAI’s ChatGPT, such as a case where it reportedly fabricated defamatory claims about Mark Walters, a radio talk show host from Georgia. The AI assistant falsely stated that Walters was accused of embezzlement and fraud related to the Second Amendment Foundation, prompting Walters to sue OpenAI for defamation. Another incident involved the AI model falsely claiming a lawyer had made sexually suggestive comments on a student trip to Alaska, an event that never occurred.
The FTC probe marks a significant regulatory challenge for OpenAI, which has sparked equal measures of excitement, fear, and hype in the tech industry after releasing ChatGPT in November. While captivating the tech world with AI-powered products that many people previously thought were years or decades away, the company’s activities have raised questions regarding potential risks associated with the AI models they produce.

Faced with rapidly changing technology, regulators such as the FTC are striving to apply existing rules to cover AI models, from copyright and data privacy to more specific issues surrounding the data used to train these models and the content they generate.
In June, Reuters reported that US Senate Majority leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) called for “comprehensive legislation” to oversee the progress of AI technology, ensuring necessary safeguards are in place. Schumer plans to hold a series of forums on the subject later this year, the news agency notes.
This is not the first regulatory hurdle for OpenAI. The company faced backlash in Italy in March, when regulators blocked ChatGPT over accusations that OpenAI had breached the European Union’s GDPR privacy regulations. The ChatGPT service was later reinstated after OpenAI agreed to incorporate age-verification features and provide European users with an option to block their data from being used to train the AI model.
OpenAI has two weeks after receiving the request to schedule a call with the FTC to discuss any possible modifications to the request or issues with compliance.

How to make blueberry milkAs you can imagine, the task is beyond easy—mostly because this blueberry milk recipe (courtesy of the U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council) contains just three ingredients. But the true beauty of this creation lies in the fact that it’s fully customizable and can easily be adapted to satisfy your personal preferences.
That said, in order to make blueberry milk, you’ll need a few essential ingredients: Milk, blueberries, sweetener (optional), and vanilla extract. A few notes: First, you’ll want to use a good-quality milk of your choice—preferably one that’s rich and creamy. If you’re taking the alt-milk route, we recommend opting for soy, cashew, coconut, or oat milk. A relatively new beer brand called ‘Ultra-Right Beer’ has put out a new ad that’s actually kind of funny.
In addition to slamming woke companies, the ad is a parody of the classic comedy movie ‘Smokey and the Bandit.’
Bud Light’s decision to go woke has created a whole new industry for creative people.

First of all, Ultra Right Beer is a real thing. The beer hit the ground running in April in response to Bud Light‘s historically ill-advised marketing hook-up with TikTok influencer Dylan Mulvaney, a 26-year-old man who pretends he’s a teenage girl as he rakes in cash in the disgusting process.
Ex-Donald Trump campaign manager for the state of Georgia, Seth Weathers, CEO of Conservative Dad’s Ultra Right Beer, has cashed in on the Bud Light disaster, which shows no sign of slowing down.
The upstart company’s latest ad — shared first with Fox Business on Wednesday — features Weathers in a parody of the Burt Reynolds classic 1970s comedy “Smokey and the Bandit,” replete with an iconic black Pontiac Trans Am, and an impressive job by an actor portraying Jackie Gleason’s Sherriff Buford T. Justice…
Weathers’s Ultra Right Beer is off to a terrific start. According to Fox Business, “After only being in business for less than 15 days, Ultra Right was expected to surpass $1 million in sales, gaining over 10,000 customers and selling 20,000 six-packs at $20 a pop since the April launch.

WordPress plugin installed on 1 million+ sites logged plaintext passwords

All-In-One Security, a WordPress security plugin installed on more than 1 million websites, has issued a security update after being caught three weeks ago logging plaintext passwords and storing them in a database accessible to website admins.
The passwords were logged when users of a site using the plugin, typically abbreviated as AIOS, logged in, the developer of AIOS said Thursday. The developer said the logging was the result of a bug introduced in May in version 5.1.9. Version 5.2.0 released Thursday fixes the bug and also “deletes the problematic data from the database.” The database was available to people with administrative access to the website.
A major security transgressionA representative of AIOS wrote in an email that “gaining anything from this defect requires being logged in with the highest-level administrative privileges, or equivalent. i.e. It can be exploited by a rogue admin who can already do such things because he’s an admin.”
However, security practitioners have long admonished admins to never store passwords in plaintext, given the relative ease hackers have had for decades in breaching websites and making off with data stored on them. In that context, the writing of plaintext passwords to any sort of database—no matter who has access to it—represents a major security transgression.
The only acceptable way to store passwords for more than two decades is as a cryptographic hash that’s generated using what’s often characterized as a slow algorithm, meaning it requires time and above-average computing resources to be cracked. This precaution acts as an insurance policy of sorts. If a database is breached, threat actors will require time and computing resources to convert the hashes into their corresponding plaintext, giving users time to change them. When passwords are strong—meaning at least 12 characters, randomly generated, and unique to each site—it’s generally infeasible for most threat actors to crack them when hashed with a slow algorithm.
Login processes from some larger services often employ systems that attempt to shield the plaintext contents, even from the site itself. It still remains common, however, for many sites to briefly have access to the plaintext contents before passing them to the hashing algorithm.
AdvertisementThe password logging bug surfaced at least three weeks ago in a WordPress forum when a user discovered the behavior and worried in a post it would result in the organization failing an upcoming security review by third-party compliance auditors. On the same day, an AIOS representative responded, “This is a known bug in the last release.” The representative provided a script that was supposed to clear the logged data. The user reported that the script didn’t work.
The user also asked why AIOS wasn’t making a fix generally available at that time, writing:
AIOS offers mostly sound password guidance
This is a HUGE issue. Anyone, like a contractor, has access to the username and passwords of all other site admins.
Furthermore, as our pentesting has documented, contractor and site designers have very poor password practices. Our contract’s credentials are the same ones they use on ALL OF THEIR OTHER CLIENT SITES (and their Gmail and Facebook).
Thursday’s advisory stated: “This issue was important to rectify and we apologise for the lapse,” It went on to reiterate standard advice, including:
Make sure that AIOS and any other plugins you use are up-to-date. This ensures that any vulnerabilities identified by developers or the community are patched, helping to keep your site secure. You can see which version of the plugin you’re using within your dashboard. You’ll be notified of any pending updates within the plugin screen on the WordPress dashboard. This information is also available within the WordPress dashboard updates section. A plugin like “Easy Updates Manager” can help you to automate this processChange all passwords regularly, especially if you believe your password has been compromised. This will prevent anyone with your login information from causing damage to your site, or accessing your data.Always enable two-factor authentication on your accounts (WordPress and otherwise.) Anyone using AIOS should install the update as soon as practicable and ensure the log deletion works as described. End users or admins who suspect their password was captured by a website using AIOS should change it on that site and, in the event they use the same password on other sites, those other sites as well.

Is Carrying a Baby Exercise? Absolutely, Say Experts
Whether you’ve got a newborn or a toddler, toting around a tiny tot can sure feel like a workout. Parents who are chronically strapped for time sometimes even joke they don’t need a gym when they’re constantly picking up, putting down, and carrying around their little ones. But are you really getting some fitness in when you’re doing this? According to the experts, the answer is, “Absolutely!”
Jimmy Pajuheshfar, DPT, the clinical director at FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers Whitney Ranch, is a father of three: a 4-year-old, 2-year-old, and a newborn. And he knows he’s getting in his toddler-focused fitness and then some just through his day-to-day life.
“Carrying a baby is a full-body workout,” he says. “Many areas of the body play a role in successfully lifting and carrying your baby throughout the day.”
Dr. Pajuheshfar explains that simple common daily parenting tasks—such as picking up a baby out of the crib or a car seat, and bringing them in your arms from one place to another—incorporate key muscle groups. The muscles in our legs (quadriceps, hamstrings, glutes); the core (transverse abdominis, rectus abdominus, obliques); the mid and low back (quadratus lumborum, rhomboids); and the pulling muscles of the arms (biceps) are all engaged while holding and carrying your baby. And any parent knows those muscles get an extra challenge when their little one starts to get squirmy.

“Believe it or not, carrying a baby can also qualify as both a strength and a cardio workout!” Dr. Pajuheshfar says. “Short-duration tasks such as lifting a baby from the floor, crib, or car seat are more strength-based. Longer activities such as carrying the extra weight a baby provides on your body while wearing a baby carrier or in your arms will more likely incorporate training of your cardiovascular endurance and stamina.”

Long-term, Dr. Pajuheshfar says this period of carrying a young child can significantly increase your stamina, endurance, and overall body strength when done safely—and those perks will come in handy as your child grows bigger and heavier. If you want to boost the benefits even further, there are ways to take this parenting perk to the next level and add more of an intentional workout to your baby carrying.
“To make things fun, you can use your baby as an additional weight with exercises such as squats, lunges, crunches, trunk twists, and overhead presses to strengthen all areas of your body,” Dr. Pajuheshfar says. But for any baby-and-me fitness, he says to ensure you move your little one in a slow and smooth fashion. And early on, always get clearance first from your healthcare provider that you have the go-ahead for more physically-strenuous activity postpartum.
Safety essentials to avoid injuryWhile the fitness perks of lifting and hauling kiddos are there, you also run the risk of sustaining long-term back injuries or sore muscles if you’re not thoughtful about how you carry your little one. Dr. Pajuheshfar says the most common injuries are muscle strains. To reduce your chances of getting hurt, he suggests these tips:
Use your legs when bending forward to pick up from or place your baby in a crib.Be intentional with alternating your baby from the left to the right side of your body when carrying to avoid one-sided overuse and injury to your back.Keep your baby close to your body when lifting and carrying them. “Think about it this way—can you hold a bowling ball longer if it is held close to your body or with your arms outstretched?” Dr. Pajuheshfar says. “The same concept applies to your baby.”Already feeling some back pain from baby carrying?
