Professor Jonathan Turley of George Washington University may be a liberal, but he is an honest man.

He recently appeared on the Sean Hannity show and took apart the Trump indictment piece by piece, leaving it in tatters on the floor.

Turley said that it was completely understandable why the American people think we have a two-tiered justice system and called the Trump indictement an attack on free speech.

TURLEY: This is a free speech-killing indictment. There’s no way around it. I write a great deal in academia in the free-speech area and I rarely seen a more chilling filing by the Department of Justice. The question that people have to ask themselves is, when is the price too high? People are obviously enraged, but what is the price too high to bag Donald Trump? This indictment is that prohibitive cost. Meaning, what they are attempting to do is criminalize what they consider to be disinformation.

And I have to tell you, this indictment is really sad moment for me. I hoped that Smith is going to indict on January 6th, that he would find unassailable evidence and unquestioned legal authority. He has neither in this indictment…

This is a speaking indictment but it doesn’t say very much. It basically just says that we think Trump is lying that he actually didn’t believe this. I can’t tell you how faciously ridiculous this claim is. It starts up by saying, of course, you can say false things in the campaign, but then says that Trump knew they were false. Is that the test going forward in terms of criminalizing political speech?

Smith is just not only going to have to just bulldoze through the First Amendment, he’s going to have to bulldoze through a line of cases by the Supreme Court…

I think what happened with Representative Goldman is that he looked ridiculous. He looked ridiculous in denying the obvious. Obviously, you’re not going to sit at Cafe Milano and ask the vice president to ice-pick a prosecutor in Ukraine wedge as your order breadsticks.

Popular Republican Kari Lake spoke out on Thursday surrounding the 2020 election during an appearance on Steve Bannon’s War Room on Real America’s Voice. This interview followed former President Trump’s latest arraignment on speech crimes in Washington DC.

During the discussion, Lake posited that the conflict American citizens are currently witnessing is one between “We the People” and the “tyrannical” government.

“Well, yeah, it’s pretty obvious that it’s we the people versus our tyrannical government right now. And there’s only one candidate who’s willing to stand up to that swamp or the tyranny, and that’s President Donald J. Trump,” said Lake.

Lake further emphasized the illegitimacy of the 2020 presidential election, stating that the January 6 riots were staged to distract from the fraudulent election certification.

She said, “All that January 6 was a staged riot to cover up the fact that they certified a fraudulent election.”

Lake further expressed her opposition to the idea of impeaching Joe Biden — rather than impeaching him, she proposed revisiting the 2020 election fraud results.

“If we just go back and deal with this fraudulent election and what happened in 2020, we don’t have to impeach him, because he really isn’t, in my opinion, and many others and you look at the evidence, the true president. Why don’t we decertify 2020 [election], and that’s the way we deal with it,” Lake said.

In a Twitter post, Lake wrote, “Impeaching the illegitimate occupant in the White House isn’t necessary here. We have all of the evidence from the fraudulent election. Let’s decertify 2020. Save our legislators the trouble.”

Why You’re Sneezy When You Wake Up

Have you ever woken up—either from a nap or a full night’s rest—and been unable to stop sneezing? Or maybe you spent more time blowing your nose than putting your makeup on this morning. Neither is exactly a great way to start the morning (or rest of the day, if you love a daily midday nap).

If you’ve experienced these not-so-fun symptoms, you might be wondering: Why are my allergies extra annoying after sleeping? According to allergists, several factors could be at play. But there are ways to keep the guilty parties in check.

Lying down increases congestion

The position we use to sleep isn’t doing us any favors when it comes to feeling stopped up. “When lying down, gravity can lead to accumulation of fluids in the nasal passages and sinuses,” says Shyam Joshi, MD, chief medical officer at allergy care company Nectar. “Not only will this lead to increased mucus, but the veins in the nose can also become engorged, leading to a feeling of fullness.” Fortunately, he says, that over-full sensation starts to go away after a few moments upright.

What helps: Try adjusting the angle of your head with pillows. Dr. Shyam suggests aiming for at least a 30-degree angle to help your nose drain.

Inflammation goes up

Our levels of cortisol—what most of us think of as the “stress hormone” but also a natural anti-inflammatory hormone—decreases overnight to allow us to sleep, says Jeanne Lomas, DO, director of allergy and immunology at WellNow Allergy. “Thus, allergy symptoms (and any inflammation) tends to worsen over night,” she says.
