Greece Arrests Almost 80 “Arsonist Scums” as EU’s Largest-Ever Wildfires Rage Across the Country (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit

Greece’s catastrophic wildfire has taken a disturbing turn as police authorities have arrested 79 individuals on charges of arson. These suspects are being held responsible for deliberately setting fires that have caused widespread devastation across the country.

Greece has witnessed several attempts by arsonists to spark new fires amidst the ongoing wildfires, perhaps in an attempt to blame it on climate change.

According to the European Forest Fire Information System, wildfires in Greece have destroyed 130,000 hectares of land so far, setting a new record for the EU.

Minister Kikilias, addressing the nation via television, expressed his outrage at these criminal acts that endanger not only forests and property but also human lives. The wildfires have already killed at least 20 people this week.

He emphasized that these perpetrators will not escape justice, as law enforcement agencies are committed to apprehending them.

“You are committing a crime against the country,” Mr Kikilias said.

“Arsonist scum are setting fires that threaten forests, property and, most of all, human lives,” he added.

“You will not get away with it, we will find you, you will be held accountable.”

According to far-left BBC, “Summer wildfires are common in Greece and scientists have linked the increasing frequency and intensity of extreme weather events, including heatwaves, to climate change.”

“Stefan Doerr, who directs the Centre for Wildfire Research at Swansea University, says that more flammable landscapes – due to hot weather or poor vegetation management – mean that arson and other incidents can more easily turn into fast-moving wildfires,” the outlet added.

The Police and Greek intelligence service EYP are currently investigating the incidents. Pavlos Marinakis, the government spokesperson, stated that out of the 140 arrests made in connection with the wildfires, 79 were related to arson.

The wildfires have been raging across Greece, with a particularly large fire front near Alexandroupolis becoming the largest on record in the EU. Fires on Mount Parnitha near Athens have also been threatening a national park. Tragically, the bodies of 19 people believed to be migrants, including children, were found in the Evros region earlier this week.

Additionally, a shepherd lost his life in the fires in the Boeotia region on Monday. The country is experiencing its worst summer for wildfires since fire-risk maps were introduced in 2009. Last month, thousands of people had to evacuate due to wildfires on the island of Rhodes and other parts of Greece.

Rock Legend Alice Cooper Condemns ‘Fad’ of Indulging Children in Transgenderism | The Gateway Pundit

Alice Cooper recently criticized the idea of allowing children to be transgender, calling it a fad and saying that it is confusing for kids.

Cooper may have indulged in some gender bending in his act over the years, but the point is that it was just that, an act, done for entertainment purposes.

It turns out that Cooper is actually a little bit of a conservative.

While he may be best known as one of the gender-bending faces of the shock rock movement, Alice Cooper revealed that he’s not in favor of real gender-affirming care.

In a new interview with Stereogum, the 75-year-old rock star shared his opinions about best-practice medical care for transgender youth, saying that he was “afraid that it’s also a fad.” Using common anti-trans talking points to elaborate, the star said that he felt children were not mature enough to make major decisions about their gender identity.

“I find it wrong when you’ve got a 6-year-old kid who has no idea. He just wants to play, and you’re confusing him telling him, ‘Yeah, you’re a boy, but you could be a girl if you want to be,’” he said. “I mean, if you identify as a tree … I’m going, ‘Come on! What are we in, a Kurt Vonnegut novel?’ It’s so absurd, that it’s gone now to the point of absurdity.”…

The “School’s Out” singer even shared anti-trans rhetoric about access to public bathrooms, claiming that allowing transgender people to use the bathroom that corresponds with their gender identity would lead to violent crimes. “A guy can walk into a woman’s bathroom at any time and just say, ‘I just feel like I’m a woman today’ and have the time of his life in there,” Cooper said. “He’s just taking advantage of that situation … Somebody’s going to get raped.”

Critics have already come after Alice Cooper for these comments and he got dropped from a business deal.

New York Man Sentenced to Only Three Months in Federal Prison for Threatening Marjorie Taylor Greene | The Gateway Pundit

Back in February, we told you about a New York man who was being investigated for leaving threatening voicemail messages for Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.

He has now pleaded guilty and was sentenced to a whopping three months in federal prison.

Joseph Morelli will also be subjected to three years of supervision after he is released.

A New York man who made threats to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., last year was sentenced on Thursday to three months in federal prison and three years of post-release supervision.

Joseph Morelli, 51, called Greene’s D.C. office in March 2022 with threats that included “I’m gonna have to take your life into my own hands … I’m gonna hurt you. Physically, I’m gonna harm you.”

According to Press Connects, he also left voicemails saying he would “pay someone 500 bucks to take a baseball bat and crack your skull.”

The Associated Press has more:

Greene argued in court papers that Morelli should pay her $66,632 in restitution because the threats forced her to add more than 1,200 feet of fencing at her Georgia home and upgrade security cameras.

Judge Brenda Sannes deferred a decision on the restitution.

The Post-Standard of Syracuse reported that Assistant U.S. Attorney Richard Southwick argued in court Thursday that although Morelli didn’t purchase a gun or car to drive to Georgia to act on his threats, he could have.

Southwick said Morelli has threatened others in the past and was “seeking confrontation with an authority figure.”

Federal Judge Sides With Christian Activist Banned From University of Wyoming for Calling Transgender Student ‘Male’ | The Gateway Pundit

A federal judge has sided with a Christian activist who was banned from the University of Wyoming campus for calling a transgender student “male.”

The transgender student was a biological male.

Last week, the U.S. District Court in Wyoming sided with Todd Schmidt and issued a preliminary injunction stopping the university from banning him while the trial proceeds.

Schmidt is an elder at Laramie Faith Community Church and frequently has a table on campus to speak to students.

The Epoch Times reports, “On Dec. 2 2022, Mr. Schmidt set up a table in the UW student union with a sign that read, ‘God created male and female and Artemis Langford is a male.’ Mr. Langford is a transgender student who joined the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority earlier that year, prompting members to sue the national Greek organization for admitting a biological male into the all-female group.”

When a school official asked Schmidt to remove the student’s name from the sign, he refused. He later compiled when the official threatened to call the police to have him arrested for trespassing.

“I’m just trying to tell the truth and bring people to God. That’s all there is. There are not any more genders than that. Biology teaches everybody about that,” Schmidt said, according to a report from the student newspaper Branding Iron, where Langford is a reporter.

The university imposed a one-year sanction on Schmidt, banning him from reserving a table in the student union.

School officials sent out a campus-wide email saying the activist “violated the university policy prohibiting discrimination and harassment,” noting that “a line was crossed when a student was harassed by name.”

In his lawsuit, Schmidt argued that the school is violating his First Amendment right.

U.S. Senior District Judge Nancy Freudenthal agreed that Schmidt had a right to name the student.

“Schmidt’s speech was expressive, with the intent to convey a particular message,” the judge wrote, according to the Epoch Times report. “Schmidt mentions Artemis Langford by name, but that is unavoidable, as the debate revolves around the propriety of a particular biological male participating in an activity—joining a sorority—traditionally reserved for biological females.”

The judge wrote that the sign was not “harassment” or “discrimination” but “debate about gender identity, a matter of public importance.”

“Schmidt does not misgender Langford to denigrate her, but to debate a public issue,” she ruled.

“This is particularly true on college campuses because they are the ‘marketplace of ideas.’ While elementary and public schools prioritize the inculcation of social values, universities seek to encourage inquiry and the challenging of a priori assumptions,” Judge Freudenthal added. “Therefore, this Court finds that Schmidt’s speech is protected free expression and not harassment or discriminatory conduct.”

The university has said that it will comply with the judge’s order.

Texas Municipal Police Association Issues Scathing Statement About Soros-Backed District Attorney’s ‘Woke Agendas and Experimental Politics’ | The Gateway Pundit

The Texas Municipal Police Association has issued a scathing statement about George Soros-backed District Attorney Hoe Garza’s “woke agendas and experimental politics.”

The Austin Police Department is in a transition phase after the retirement of Chief Joseph Chacon. His former Chief of Staff, Robin Henderson, has been named interim chief by the interim city manager Jesus Garza.

As leadership changes are underway, the police association is urging politicians to reconsider their defund/abolish efforts, according to a report from Law Enforcement Today.

“The recent announcement of George Soros backed District Attorney Hoe Garza’s reelection bid should be an alarm for the silent majority of reasonable Texans,” the statement read.

“Garza has shown a reckless bias against law enforcement officials who perform their duties to maintain law and order. TMPA urges Garza to reconsider his stance towards law enforcement officials as we work collaboratively towards the common goal of protecting public safety. We encourage all citizens to exercise their rights to vote and to choose leaders who prioritize public safety. “

The association also noted the massive staffing shortages police departments are facing.

The association added, “We remain committed to supporting law enforcement officials and ensuring that the citizens of Travis County are protected from a rogue district attorney and activist anti-law enforcement politicians. We call on all reasonable Texans in Travis County to stand with us in prioritizing public safety over politics and holding our elected officials accountable.”

“There currently is no police union contract in place, and the sides agreed to run under the existing agreement as they continue to negotiate. Austin City Council has been negotiating behind closed doors regarding the contract, but did so while inviting a civilian activist group to be part of those private negotiations,” LE Today reports.

DEVELOPING: Fans Pour Out of Stadium After Two People Shot at White Sox Game | The Gateway Pundit

A shooting at a White Sox game caused people to flee from Guaranteed Rate Field located on the South Side of Chicago Friday night.

Police confirmed a shooting took place in the left field bleachers.

A 90s-themed concert featuring Vanilla Ice and others was canceled after the shooting.

This #WhiteSox franchise is a joke. The product on the field is pathetic, and the rest of the organization is just as bad. According to media reports, at least 2 people were shot. Their injuries are non-life threatening.

It is unclear what led to the shooting. An investigation is ongoing.

No word on the suspect(s).

ABC 7 Chicago reported:

A shooting at the White Sox game caused some scary moments for some fans, and appeared to cancel the post-game concert.

The shooting apparently happened somewhere in the left field bleachers. Further details haven’t been released by the police, and the White Sox have not commented on the incident.

Tom Miller, who attended the game, said that he was sitting two rows behind where the shooting occurred. He said he didn’t hear or see what happened but moments later a woman appeared to be bleeding from the leg. He said he believed two people, possibly three, suffered some sort of wound.

“It happened just two rows in front me, and there was no one in front of us. All of a sudden this lady just starts bleeding from the leg,” Miller said. “There were at least two of ’em in a row that got hit, may be a third, but I know two for sure. And all of a sudden security was there and they kicked us out.”
