Over 100 Former Clerks Come to Defense of Justice Clarence Thomas Following Relentless Attacks by Democrats | The Gateway Pundit
For months, Democrats have been engaged in an effort to delegitimize the U.S. Supreme Court.
They have taken special aim at conservative Justice Clarence Thomas, using a smear campaign intended to attack his integrity.
Now over 100 former clerks have come to Thomas’ defense, co-signing a letter in response to the claims.

Over 100 former clerks of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas wrote an open letter defending him after recent news articles accused him of bending court ethics, saying that his “integrity is unimpeachable” and “his independence is unshakable.”
“As his law clerks, we offer this response. Different paths led us to our year with Justice Thomas, and we have followed different paths since. But along the way, we all saw with our own eyes the same thing: His integrity is unimpeachable,” the letter reads.
“And his independence is unshakable, deeply rooted seven decades ago as that young child who walked through the door of his grandparents’ house for a life forever changed,” they wrote.
The 112 signatories on the letter include current solicitors general, general counsels, partners at litigation firms and law professors. Three circuit court judges also signed the letter: David Stras on the 8th Circuit, Jim Ho of the 5th Circuit, and Allison Rushing, 4th Circuit.
The lawyers described Justice Thomas’ upbringing, having “descended from West African slaves and born to a young mother, not more than 20, in segregated Georgia.”
The left’s attacks on Thomas are shameful, and everyone knows why they’re doing it.
This man has not violated any ethics. Democrats are trying to destroy him so they can replace him with one of their own. It’s as simple as that.

Joe Biden on Monday delivered remarks at a reception to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.
Biden once again falsely claimed ‘white supremacy’ is the greatest terror threat to the United States.
“The U.S. intelligence community has determined that domestic terrorism rooted in white supremacy is the greatest terrorist threat we face in the homeland,” Biden said without providing any data or evidence whatsoever.
This is the same intelligence community that lied about Hunter Biden’s laptop being a Russian disinfo campaign.

Biden also lied about his work advancing civil rights.
“I was able to literally, not figuratively, talk Strom Thurmond into voting for the Civil Rights Act before he died,” Biden said.
Joe Biden never marched with civil rights activists. He was too busy lunching with segregationists like James Eastland.
This hasn’t stopped Joe Biden from telling tall tales about his involvement in the civil rights movement.

When she looks at what the left is doing to Trump, she has a warning for America. She says this is just what China’s ‘Cultural Revolution’ looked like.
She accuses the left of being Marxists and says that no one is safe because they will eventually come for everyone.

I have to say I think America is quickly becoming a communist country and our rule of law has been turned into what Marxists call proletarian dictatorship. The party in power is after its political opposition and it is not just the president, but people like activists are now in jail, as political prisoners in the free country of the United States.
Forget about Donald Trump, what is happening in America is that the party in power is abusing their power and going after any opposition, Now it is Donald Trump and MAGA, but eventually, it is everybody because a communist regime does not tolerate any opposition, any dissenting voice. So they are coming after all of us, including those who are cheering now for Trump’s indictment and think they are on the winning team. They are not. We all will become victims if we let them succeed.
I really have a word for everybody, including the conservatives: learn a little bit about history and about the Cultural Revolution. What’s happening here is a repeat.

Rumors Swirl That Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo Will Resign After Checking Into Treatment Facility for Depression – Feds Now Investigating Her Bid-Rigging! | The Gateway Pundit
Earlier this month far-left Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo announced she will be taking a leave of absence to seek treatment for clinical depression.
“Based on my doctor’s recommendation, I checked myself into an out-of-state facility to receive inpatient treatment in late July,” the corrupt Democrat said in a statement.
She continued, “It is important for me personally and professionally to confront this issue swiftly, so I will be taking temporary leave from the office while I am receiving treatment.”
Hidalgo said she hopes to resume her normal schedule by early September.
However, as September approaches, rumors are swirling that Lina Hidalgo might resign as her office is embroiled in a bid-rigging scandal.
Lina Hidalgo and her staffers were implicated in a no-bid contract scandal.
Lina Hidalgo’s top three staffers were indicted in April 2022 after prosecutors expanded the investigation into an $11 million ‘vaccine outreach contract’ awarded to one of the judge’s political cronies.
While Hidalgo was threatening to jail and fine people for violating her Covid rules, she was secretly trying to award one of her political cronies an $11 million ‘vaccine outreach’ contract.
Hidalgo ultimately panicked and canceled the $11 million vaccine contract after questions were raised that it was with a one-person firm with no experience.
Hidalgo’s Chief of Staff Alex Triantaphyllis and Policy Director Wallis Nader along with co-defendant Aaron Dunn were charged with misuse of official information and tampering with government documents in connection with the canceled vaccine outreach contract.

According to Fox 26 Houston, rumors of Hidalgo’s imminent resignation triggered hundreds of phone calls which were officially met with a ‘flat denial’ from Hidalgo’s spokespeople.
Fox 26 Houston reported that federal authorities have also initiated their own inquiry into Hidalgo’s bid-rigging.

Part of their conversation was about how the media landscape has changed over the years. Carr pointed out that years ago, journalism was filled with working class people, some of whom would eventually work their way up to greater positions. Now it is dominated by politically connected liberal elites.
Carr uses specific examples like Jake Tapper and Chuck Todd as people who are directly connected to Democrat politics.

“Jake Tapper, you know, he worked for Chelsea Clinton’s mother-in-law, and she was married to a corrupt congressman, and she was a congresswoman,” Carr said of Marjorie Margolies. “Or you have been Chuck Todd, who worked for stolen valor, Tom Harkin, a senator, or Stephanopoulos, who ran the bimbo eruptions unit for the Clinton campaign in ’92. I mean, that’s the farm system now… It’s not just the internet that’s destroyed newspapers. I think that there’s just nobody, there’s nobody left who — forget going to church or being in the military, these people don’t even know anyone who goes to church or is in the military.”

A new Associated Press/NORC poll has found that the vast majority of Americans believe Joe Biden is too old to be effective in a second term as president.
That includes a stunning 69 percent of Democrats.
All that anyone has to do to reach this conclusion is to watch Joe Biden. Every time he speaks he practically sulrs all of his words, to the point where it is difficult to understand him.
Plus, Biden is constantly on vacation, as if he needs rest all the time. The man is clearly not up to the job now, never mind three years from now.

An overwhelming majority of Americans believe President Biden is too old to effectively carry out the office of president for another four years, a Monday poll found.
The Associated Press-NORC poll found that 77% of Americans say Biden is too old to carry out a second term. While an unsurprising 89% of Republicans expressed the sentiment, an impressive 69% of Democrats also say Biden is no longer up to the task, according to the poll.
Meanwhile, fewer than half of Americans say former President Trump is too old to hold office, despite him being just three years younger.
The AP conducted its poll from Aug. 10-14, using a sample drawn from NORC’s probability-based AmeriSpeak Panel, which is designed to be representative of the U.S. population. The margin of sampling error for all respondents is plus or minus 3.8 percentage points.
The poll further found that American voters increasingly support wide-ranging rules aimed at keeping America’s leaders young. Roughly two-thirds of Americans say they support imposing age limits on the presidency, Congress and the Supreme Court.
If Joe Biden will not retire on his own, the voters should do the job for him.
Then he can spend all the time he wants to, lying on a beach in Delaware, if he is not prosecuted and sent to prison, that is.

In Must See Video, Rachel Maddow Lays Out The Stakes For Trump In 2024
Rachel Maddow laid out the stakes for Trump in the 2024 election. If he loses, he will go to prison. If Trump wins, he might be president for life and end democracy.
Maddow said:
These are the stakes, and again whatever you think about that as a legal strategy for Trump, that is how he is thinking about the election. That is how he is going to be talking to his supporters and aides and campaign about the election. The election means one of two things if this is the way he is going to approach it. Either he loses the election and goes to prison, or he wins the election. He doesn’t go to prison. And is that for life he gets to be president? Will we keep having new elections? If every election is an opportunity for him to go to prison, do you think he allows us to have elections?
If winning the election is his plan to stay out of prison, what happens if and when he does not win it? Does that kind of election end with a graceful concession to a fair and square re-elected President Biden? I mean, if Trump and his supporters see the stakes as losing and going to prison or winning and being president and probably president for life, how should we expect that he and the Republican Party and Republican officials in swing states are going to handle the conduct of that election that Trump may very well lose? And because we are prone to forget, we have to say out loud that we would be remiss.
We would be willfully naive to ask that question as if our politics exists in a vacuum. Somewhere outside the rest of our news. As if the politics pages are totally different than the crime pages, right? As if we are not in a moment where far-right politics is coinciding with far-right violence, with regular shows of force from paramilitary extreme-right groups, and with acts of violence by people who are explicitly and admittedly motivated by far-right eliminationist political ideas. We are prone to forget, but we do not have to forget.

Anyone who thinks that President Biden will beat Trump in 2024 and things will be just fine has forgotten the timeline of 2020. The trouble did not start in 202o on a wide scale until after Trump’s loss. Looking back, it is now plain to see the progression. During the campaign, Trump radicalized his supporters with false claims of a rigged election months before the first ballots were cast. His supporters responded with voter intimidation.
After Trump lost, he went all in on the false stolen election claims, lost 63 lawsuits, tried to pressure swing state officials to overturn the results, and culminated by leading an insurrection against the United States.
With the stakes potentially being prison for Trump, expect even more frantic desperation and illegal plotting.
Rachel Maddow is right. The current violence is not divorced from far-right politics, and we can never allow the recent history of 2020 to be forgotten.

I’m an eternal optimist. That is, except for one thing: the godforsaken, unwelcome collection of blackheads that have accumulated on my face. A heavy sprinkling of little black dots have taken up permanent residence on my nose and that delicate area next to my nose for, well, ever.

Let’s see about that, I thought. Over the course of a month I added Clearity, along with Clearstem’s calming Cellrenew serum, to my nightly skincare routine. Then, after about a week, when my skin adjusted to its exfoliation level, I doubled down using it in the AM, too.
There’s one catch to Clearity though: It must sit alone on your bare skin, post cleansing, for at least 10 minutes to do its job. If you cut that time period short you’ll neutralize its abilities and your blackheads will likely stay perfectly in place. The 10-minute wait period is a bit annoying, especially if you’re nodding off at the bathroom sink getting ready for your 9:00 p.m. grandma bedtime (who, me?), but it’s a small sacrifice to dissolve those pesky blackheads.
After each application, I set a timer so I wouldn’t unintentionally cut the waiting period short or hit my head on a pillow, forgetting about finishing my routine altogether. After a skeptical week examining my little black spots, suddenly I thought, “Wait, what little black dots?”
While the majority of my blackheads have disappeared, and my skin has never looked cleaner, it’s not a cure-all—at least not yet. Hopefully with continued use, Clearity will do away with the most stubborn of blackheads on my nose.
How does this little bottle of magic work so well? Still, no other product has successfully evicted blackheads as Clearity has.
