In one of his most ironic proclamations to date, Rob Reiner declared that “democracy” can only survive if former President Donald Trump is imprisoned and all third-party candidates are prohibited from running.

Rob Reiner — who is one of Hollywood’s biggest cheerleaders for Joe Biden — made his absurd statement in a recent post to X, formerly known as Twitter.

Some prominent commentators have noted that Reiner’s call to prohibit all opposition candidates is fundamentally anti-democratic and would only serve to benefit Biden.

All the Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets eligible for One UI 6.0 update

Once upon a time, the Android community did not like Samsung’s UX. However, the company has done a beautiful turnaround with One UI. Although One UI is feature-rich, Samsung has smartly packed it with enough sensible features to keep the average user and the enthusiast happy. Samsung has also massively improved its update consistency, becoming one of the best among Android brands. One UI is now on track for its latest One UI 6 update based on Android 14; these eligible Samsung devices will get the update!

Samsung One UI 6.0 rollout schedule

One UI 6 is already available in public beta for several devices, but we don’t recommend installing a beta on your daily driver.

We expect One UI 6.0 stable builds to be released in October, likely starting with the Galaxy S23 series and gradually making its way across the rest of Samsung’s lineup.

Samsung usually prioritizes its flagships and new devices before updating older flagships and budget devices. The company has not announced an official rollout timeline yet, but you can use this as a rule of thumb: If your device was launched in 2023, you are in a good position to receive the update this year.

These Samsung Galaxy devices are getting the One UI 6 update

Samsung has not disclosed its list of One UI 6.0 eligible devices. However, we can reasonably ascertain whether a device is eligible for the update based on Samsung’s four-generation Android update promise.

New Mexico’s Democrat Governor Scolds Far-Left Rep. Ted Lieu, Doubles Down on Her Unconstitutional Gun Grab | The Gateway Pundit

Democrat Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham on Friday declared gun violence a public health emergency in response to the shooting deaths of a thirteen-year-old girl on July 28, a five-year-old girl on August 14, and an eleven-year-old boy on September 6.

“The action plan includes a suspension of open and concealed carry laws in Bernalillo County, temporarily prohibiting the carrying of guns on public property with certain exceptions. Exceptions include for licensed security guards and law enforcement officers. Citizens with permits to carry firearms are free to possess their weapons on private property (such as at a gun range or gun store), provided they transport the firearm in a locked box, use a trigger lock, or some other mechanism that renders the gun incapable of being fired,” according to the press release.

The public health order also directs:

The Regulation and Licensing Division to conduct monthly inspections of licensed firearm dealers to ensure compliance with all sales and storage laws.The Department of Health, along with the Environment Department, to begin wastewater testing for illegal substances such as fentanyl at schools.The Department of Health to compile and issue a comprehensive report on gunshot victims presenting at hospitals in New Mexico, which shall include (if available): demographic data of gunshot victims, including age, gender, race, and ethnicity; data on gunshot victim’s healthcare outcomes; the brand and caliber of the firearm used; the general circumstances leading to the injury; the impact of gunshot victims on New Mexico’s healthcare system; and any other pertinent information.A prohibition on firearms on state property, including state buildings and schools. This also includes other places of education where children gather, such as parks.The State Police to add officers in Albuquerque with funding for overtime provided.The Children, Youth and Families Department to immediately suspend the Juvenile Detention Alternative Initiative and evaluate juvenile probation protocols.

“No constitutional right, in my view, including my oath, is intended to be absolute,” Grisham said in a chilling statement during a news conference.

Even worse, Grisham admitted she is openly violating the US Constitution: “There will be a legal challenge and I can’t tell you that we win it,” she said.

Grisham’s declaration and gun grabbing was so extreme and unlawful that far-left Democrat Rep. Ted Lieu called her out. Gun-grabbing mongrel David Hogg also blasted Grisham.

Ted Lieu is a Democrat from California of all places and Grisham’s assault on the Second Amendment was even too far for him.

“I support gun safety laws. However, this order from the Governor of New Mexico violates the U.S. Constitution. No state in the union can suspend the federal Constitution. There is no such thing as a state public health emergency exception to the U.S. Constitution.” Ted Lieu said.

On Sunday Grisham scolded Ted Lieu and doubled down on her lawlessness.

“Hey Ted, conceal and open carry are state laws that I have jurisdiction over. If you’re really interested in helping curb gun violence, I’d welcome you to join our next police academy class,” Grisham said on X.

On Saturday, State Reps. Stefani Lord and John Block called for the impeachment of Governor Grisham.

“This emergency order violates the Governor’s oath to protect and defend the rights of New Mexicans and is illegal in nature. The legislature has a duty to intervene when the government is overstepping its boundaries, and Governor Grisham’s order and comments disqualify her from continuing her tenure as Governor,” the Reps wrote in a press release.

Visibly armed gun owners on Sunday afternoon courageously walked around Old Town, Albuquerque proudly displaying their firearms in defiance of Governor Grisham’s unconstitutional gun grab.

People gathered around with their firearms while holding American flags and Gadsden flags. The gun owners spoke out against the governor’s order.

According to Ford Fischer, a reporter on the scene, there was no police intervention.

Police did not enforce a $5,000 fine for violators.

“This will not stand! We will not comply!” a speaker shouted to applause.

One of the speakers encouraged the gun owners to show up every day in defiance of Grisham’s executive order.

Chuck Todd Steps Down, Gets a Brutal Farewell Present | The Gateway Pundit

Chuck Todd, the “Meet the Press” host loved by liberals and loathed by conservatives, made it official on Sunday.

After nine years of hosting the long-running show about politics and current affairs, he passed the baton to a successor on his last episode.

And conservatives weren’t sorry to see him go.

Todd, who announced he was leaving the show back in June, has spent years building a reputation for taking leftist positions on virtually every issue while being firmly in the middle of the media pack when it came to attacking Republicans — very much including former President Donald Trump and his administration.

His swan song Sunday was greeted by a chorus of criticism from the right who’ve watched him over the years. It constituted a kind of brutal farewell present to a “journalist” who couldn’t have deserved it more.

The conservative media watchdog group the Media Research Center put together a few clips of Todd’s “greatest hits” in advance of the big day, which gives a pretty good indication of where the show has been during the Chuck Todd era:

As if to prove the critics’ points, a highlight of Todd’s last day was an interview, naturally, with California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who used the occasion to pump for President Joe Biden’s re-election.

“Well I think the vice president is naturally the one lined up, the filing deadlines are quickly coming to pass and I think we need to move past this notion that he’s not going to run, President Biden is going to run and I’m looking forward to getting him re-elected,” Newsom said, according to Fox News.

“There’s been so much wallowing in the last few months and hammering and even disrespect and we’re gearing up for the campaign and we’re looking forward to it,” he said.

It was a classic Todd interview, in other words.

As Fox reported, Todd’s successor is Kristen Welker, NBC’s White House correspondent.

In speaking with Todd on camera Sunday, Welker might have unwittingly given some indication about where the show is going in its post-Todd incarnation.

“You are someone who invests in the people that you care about and you have invested in me and I am so eternally grateful for that,” Welker told Todd, according to Fox.

“I’ve said it before, I think it bears repeating. You brought me to D.C., you taught me just about everything I know about politics.”

And that tells conservatives everything they need to know about the future of “Meet the Press.”

Family Calls Police on Energy Department Staffer as Jennifer Granholm’s EV Caravan Bogarts Charging Station During 4-Day Road Trip | The Gateway Pundit

Feel good story of the day.

Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm and some of her staffers set out on a 4-day electric vehicle road trip through the Southeast this summer.

They traveled from North Carolina to Tennessee to tout the Biden Regime’s commitment to funding electric vehicles that virtually no one wants (or can afford).

According to a reporter embedded in the Energy Department’s EV caravan, the entourage had trouble charging the vehicles.

The best part of the road trip? A family called the police on an Energy Department staffer who was so desperate to reserve a charging plug for Jennifer Granholm’s EV that he blocked the charging station with a gas-powered vehicle.

There was trouble in EV paradise as the caravan of electric vehicles began to run out of charge as they passed through a suburb of Augusta, Georgia.

Energy Department staffers pulled over to charge their fleet when they realized there weren’t enough available fast-charging plugs to juice up their vehicles.

One of the four chargers was broken and the other plugs were in use.

An Energy Department staffer was so desperate to reserve one of the fast-charging plugs for Granholm’s approaching EV that he boxed in a poor family – with a baby in the car – on a sweltering hot day – with his gas-powered vehicle.

The family was so angry that they called the police on Granholm’s staffer.

But between stops, Granholm’s entourage at times had to grapple with the limitations of the present. Like when her caravan of EVs — including a luxury Cadillac Lyriq, a hefty Ford F-150 and an affordable Bolt electric utility vehicle — was planning to fast-charge in Grovetown, a suburb of Augusta, Georgia.

Her advance team realized there weren’t going to be enough plugs to go around. One of the station’s four chargers was broken, and others were occupied. So an Energy Department staffer tried parking a nonelectric vehicle by one of those working chargers to reserve a spot for the approaching secretary of energy.

That did not go down well: a regular gas-powered car blocking the only free spot for a charger?

In fact, a family that was boxed out — on a sweltering day, with a baby in the vehicle — was so upset they decided to get the authorities involved: They called the police.

The sheriff’s office couldn’t do anything. It’s not illegal for a non-EV to claim a charging spot in Georgia. Energy Department staff scrambled to smooth over the situation, including sending other vehicles to slower chargers, until both the frustrated family and the secretary had room to charge.

Security Guard Shot in the Head Trying to Break Up Fight at High School Football Game in Utica, New York | The Gateway Pundit

A Utica City School District security guard was shot in the head on Saturday in Utica, NY. He was attempting to break up a fight in the Proctor High School parking lot during a football game when he was shot. He is in critical, but stable condition at this time.

WKTV Channel 2:

UTICA, N.Y. — Utica Police are aware of a video circulating on social media of the shooting at Proctor High School’s first football home game on Saturday afternoon.

It shows a school district security guard trying to break up a fight outside the game in a school parking lot off of Tilden Avenue.

“Shots rang out, and there was a Utica City School District employee, security officer, that was shot in the back of the head,” says Utica Police Chief Mark Williams.

Worried parents, whose children called them from the game, rushed to the school to pick them up.

There, they found an endless line of police cars.

There were eight security guards and four Utica police officers on duty at the game. The guards had stopped a group of suspicious males that tried to enter late in the game. The school even had metal detectors as added precautions, but the shooting happened in the parking lot.

So far there have not been any arrests, but police have a few leads.
