What is Huawei TruSeen? | Trusted Reviews
In the modern era, smartwatches can do a ton of different things, but one of the most popular uses for a smartwatch comes down to various health monitoring applications, with heart rate monitoring being a key one of those applications.
When it comes to Huawei, the brand has its own heart rate monitoring tech, TruSeen. If you want to know every important detail about Huawei TruSeen, then check out our guide below.
What is Huawei TruSeen?TruSeen is Huawei’s heart rate monitoring tech, which the company uses in its smartwatches, like the Huawei Watch GT line.
TruSeen has been around for years, and since its introduction, the technology has grown and changed a lot from its original 1.0 implementation to the 5.0+ version of TruSeen. TruSeen 1.0, for example, only was capable of monitoring static heart rates, while the 5.0+ version monitors dynamic heart rates, has significantly improved data processing capacity, holds signal better, and is far more accurate.
With TruSeen today, you can use a Huawei smartwatch to keep track of your heart rate during workouts or runs, yoga, aerobics, or, really, any number of high-intensity activities. Basically, the technology does just about everything you’d want it to do when it comes to monitoring heart rate. However, TruSeen is still maturing, too, and the latest version, TruSeen 5.5+, found in Huawei’s Watch GT 4 has some key improvements to the technology.
Get an iPhone 14 for just £799
You can currently get the iPhone 14 at a price that’s far closer to the iPhone 13 RRP, thanks to Amazon.
AmazonSave £50Now £799The latest iteration of TruSeen makes use of machine learning to enhance data processing from smartwatch sensors, increasing overall accuracy, according to Huawei. This is most useful in less-than-optimal conditions, like during particularly dynamic activities or in low-temperature environments, so with this version of TruSeen, you should have more consistent heart rate monitoring in general, regardless of where you are or what you’re doing.
If you’re interested in some high-tech heart monitoring, make sure to give the Huawei’s Watch GT 4 a look, as this smartwatch incorporates the latest 5.5+ version of the TruSeen tech.

VICTORY: New Hampshire Smacks Down Effort to Keep Trump Off the Ballot in 2024 | The Gateway Pundit
Photo: Nicholas Kamm/AFP/Getty Images
Back in August, we told you that the left was trying to get Trump removed from the ballot in New Hampshire.
That battle is already over and Trump won.
New Hampshire’s Secretary of State announced this week that Trump will indeed be on the ballot.
RedState reports:
Another One Bites the Dust: New Hampshire Slaps Down Latest Attempt to Keep Trump off the Ballot
Democrats’ effort to rig the outcome of the upcoming 2024 presidential election isn’t going so well. The anti-Trump faction has been trying desperately to ensure that former President Donald Trump does not set foot in the White House as president again. Their plan? Using Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to keep his name off the ballots in as many states as they can.
Unfortunately for the left, New Hampshire just became the latest state to reject an effort to disqualify the Orange Man What Is Bad
from appearing on the ballot.
The top election official in New Hampshire says he won’t invoke the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution in order to block former President Donald Trump from the ballot in the state that holds the first primary in the Republican nominating calendar.
New Hampshire Secretary of State Dave Scanlan on Wednesday also announced that the filing period for the 2024 presidential primary will start on Oct. 11 — meaning it’s nearly all but certain the date of the contest will lead to a collision with the Democratic National Committee (DNC).
At the news conference at the state house in Concord, called in part to address legal efforts by some Republicans in New Hampshire to prevent the former president from getting his name on the 2024 ballot, Scanlan said that as long as Trump “submits his declaration of candidacy and signs it under the penalties of perjury, pays the $1,000 filing fee, his name will appear on the presidential primary ballot.”
This is great news.

The next time that Democrats try to do this, Republican officials should do the same thing right back. Threaten to take Biden off of a few state ballots. Make the left feel the pain they inflict on others.

How to watch the PlayStation State of Play
Sony’s State of Play showcase airs later today at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 10pm BST, and you can watch on YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok.
Every so often, Sony has a State of Play show where the company goes over what’s happening in the world of PlayStation. This time around, we’re getting a State of Play all about “updates to previously announced games coming to PlayStation consoles.” According to Sony, this will range from indie games to major AAA titles to PS VR2 highlights.
The broadcast is set to start September 14th at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 10pm BST, and you can catch the show on YouTube, Twitch, or TikTok. It’s not currently clear exactly how long the showcase will be, but we’d wager around an hour or two. Of course, if you can’t catch it as it airs, you’ll be able to watch it later on YouTube if you’d prefer to see it yourself.
If you’re excited about the possibility of big new reveals, well, we’d definitely recommend tempering those expectations. As mentioned above, the show is set to focus on “previously announced games” expected on PlayStation, so if you’re hoping for a Bloodborne remaster, a new Uncharted, or some crazy new project to be shown off, that likely won’t happen.
Also, don’t necessarily expect updates on all major upcoming games. For example, Call of Duty competitor XDefiant, the Ubisoft shooter, has already been confirmed not to be appearing in Sony’s State of Play, so this showcase won’t be going into everything that’s coming. Likely, you can expect to see some updates on the most notable upcoming games, though.
However, if you don’t want to sit through a whole show, don’t worry. There’ll be lots of ways to check out whatever gets shown off after the fact, and if you’ve seen other States of Play, you’ll know that they aren’t always jam-packed with the most exciting revelations. Of course, though, there could always be a few surprises.

iPhone 15 Pro benchmarks demonstrate A17 power
The first Geekbench benchmark results for the iPhone 15 Pro and its potent new A17 Pro processor have hit the internet.
Apple announced the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max on Tuesday, and made quite a song and dance over the new A17 Pro that drives them along. This is the first mobile chip from Apple to feature the ‘Pro’ name rather than the usual ‘Bionic’, which has to mean something, right?
MySmartPrice has pointed out that the first Geekbench results – that is, the most popular CPU benchmarking tool on the market – for the iPhone 15 Pro are starting to appear on the platform. That makes sense, as the device will now be with reviewers and other early access users.
The results reveal a chip with a six-core CPU (which was known) at a base frequency of 3.78GHz, backed by 8GB of RAM – what was tipped just prior to the launch event.
As for the results, a sample score of 2908 single core and 7238 multi-core reveals a clear but hardly seismic shift from the iPhone 14 Pro, which scored around 2642 single core and 6739 multi-core.
It’s worth emphasising here that Geekbench is a CPU-focused benchmark, and that Apple itself claims the A17 Pro CPU is only 10% faster than the A16 Bionic equivalent. The new 3nm production method should ensure a big boost in efficiency, and will hopefully mean that the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max can run faster for longer.
What we’re really interested in seeing is the first solid GPU benchmark results, as Apple reckons the A17 Pro’s graphical component is 20% faster than before. Indeed, the tech giant committed a surprisingly large portion of its launch event to talking about the iPhone 15 Pro as heralding in “the next level of mobile gaming”.
With boosted power and support for hardware ray tracing, the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will be capable of running native versions of Resident Evil 4 Remake and Assassin’s Creed Mirage with all their fancy lighting effects.

Federal Appeals Court Denies Trump Request to Stay E. Jean Carroll Defamation Case, But Grants Expedited Appeal | The Gateway Pundit
A federal appeals court on Wednesday denied Trump’s request to stay a defamation suit filed by E Jean Carroll.
The 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals however granted Trump an expedited appeal on whether he can assert absolute presidential immunity.
Last week Judge Lewis Kaplan, a Clinton appointee, ruled that Trump is liable for defamatory statements he made about E. Jean Carroll after she accused him of rape.
In May Manhattan jury reached a verdict in the E. Jean Carroll rape/defamation case.
In 2019, E. Jean Carroll alleged Donald Trump raped her in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room in the 1990s.
Trump has denied the allegations and called E. Jean Carroll a “whack job” who’s “not my type.”
The jury found Trump sexually abused and defamed Carroll and ordered him to pay $5 million in damages.
Trump blasted E. Jean. Carroll during a CNN town hall in May.
“What kind of a woman meets somebody and brings them up and within minutes you’re playing hanky-panky in a dressing room?” Trump said, adding the accusation was a ‘fake’ and ‘made-up story.’
She went after Trump again and Judge Lewis Kaplan agreed with E. Jean Carroll’s lawyers and said Trump is liable for his statements.
Carroll is seeking at least $10 million in damages in this separate case.
The trial will begin on January 15, 2024.
CNBC reported:
A federal appeals court on Wednesday denied a bid by Donald Trump to delay a defamation lawsuit by the writer E. Jean Carroll, but granted him an expedited appeal on the question of whether he can claim absolute presidential immunity as a defense.
The order by the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals is a partial victory for Trump after a series of significant losses in two lawsuits that Carroll filed against him related to her allegation of being raped by him in the mid-1990s in a New York department store.
Barring further action by that appeals court or the Supreme Court, the second of Carroll’s suits remains scheduled for trial in mid-January in U.S. District Court in Manhattan.
But the 2nd Circuit in its order Wednesday consolidated two pending appeals by Trump and ordered his lawyers and Carroll’s attorney to file legal briefs on the dispute over the next 35 days.

Systems of Record are Required for Systems of Intelligence
Businesses need systems of record. Only when we have systems of record can we have systems of intelligence. And business leaders who develop systems of intelligence within their organizations will define the next frontier in their sector.
Let’s look at financial crime.
Systems of record at a bank or fund services firm can allow teams to learn about and then store info on a particular financial scam or scheme. When a bad actor attempts to repeat that scheme, the system of record recognizes it from its databank and can tell systems or people to shut down that bad actor.
But financial criminals know how banks and other institutions work. They are constantly changing their methods and schemes. It’s not enough for bankers or fund administrators to defend against the same types of crime. They must look for the same repeating patterns in their data. They need to defend against the crimes of the future. These crimes may look nothing like previous digital heists or fraudulent transactions.
This foresight requires a system of intelligence. AI tools should power it. These tools can run perpetual analyses on incoming data. They identify known dangers and flag suspicious “unknown unknowns.” These may indicate criminal activity. This kind of smart system helps bankers or other business leaders make breakthroughs. They do this based on the data that’s been collected. They provide foresight for what might come next using probabilities based on the system of record.
Systems of intelligence – a term coined by author Geoffrey Moore in 2017 – look deeper into transactional data to uncover the most well-hidden risks lurking within an organization. The feedback loop of finding new crimes then helps create new rules, keeping pace with the criminals while maintaining an expanding archive of their schemes.
It’s never been more important for financial firms to show they are serious about financial crime. The cost of financial crime compliance in the United States was predicted to hit almost $46 billion in 2022, up from more than $26 billion in 2019. Global financial crime costs banks north of $2 trillion annually.
Finance and investing firms need systems that are agile enough to confront the compliance challenges of tomorrow and take on the ever-expanding amount of work involved in financial crime and transaction monitoring. Only AI-powered solutions at this stage can deliver this level of efficiency and security.
As the Wall Street Journal’s Richard Vanderford reported, customers and regulations increasingly expect banks, funds, and others to deploy financial-crime-detecting AI systems. There’s no other way to scour billions of transactions while money launderers, human traffickers, drug dealers, and other criminals grow more sophisticated and tech-savvy daily. Vanderford cited AI proponents, saying, “AI can do the job better, require less staff, and enable continuous check-ups on customers and transactions for money-laundering issues and sanctions violations.”
To understand the power of AI-driven systems of intelligence in confronting these myriad challenges, it’s worth looking at how similar tools are revolutionizing health care – specifically preventing heart attacks.
The Semmelweis University Heart and Vascular Center in Hungary has treated thousands of patients with heart disease. They collected troves of data and images to create a patient similarity network. In short, they had a potentially powerful system of record. However unlocking the system’s potential required deploying an AI platform. The platform found patterns and delivered insights. This was achieved through a combination of topological data analysis and supervised and unsupervised learning.
The Center created a system of intelligence that is now detecting cardiovascular risk sooner, predicting patient outcomes more accurately — and saving lives.
This example shows how a system of record is only the first step in deploying data to improve outcomes. Taking the next step allows organizations to identify recurring problems. And they do it far more effectively. They start looking ahead constantly to identify risk. During a time of staff shortages and rising demands across sectors, AI crucially allows companies to increase efficiency without increasing head counts.
More than three in four financial executives see AI-enabled risk detection driving improvements in fraud prevention over the next year, according to a recent survey. More than half see it driving advancements in credit decisions and cost savings.
Firms with a system of intelligence stand to see significant reductions on two fronts. They significantly cut costs. And they avoid the potentially crushing blow of attacks or missed opportunities.

How to leave the iOS 17 public beta
Following Apple’s iPhone 15 launch, the company released the final version of iOS 17 to public beta testers around the world. The problem is that, still technically being on the public beta seed, your iPhone will continue to get updates for other early iOS 17 betas – iOS 17.1, etc.
The good news is that once you’ve installed the full version of iOS 17 (which is available to download right now), you can opt out of the iOS 17 beta and go back to getting public releases going forward.
You might already be familiar with this concept if you’re an iOS public beta veteran, but it’s worth noting that the opt-out process has changed with the release of iOS 17 – though it’s arguably easier to do now than it was in previous iterations of iOS, which involved removing a beta profile hidden deep in the Settings app.
With that all said, here’s how to opt out of the iPhone’s iOS 17 public beta once you’ve installed the full release of iOS 17.
What you’ll need: An iPhone running the iOS 17 public betaThe Short Version Open the Settings app.Tap General.Tap Software Update.Tap Beta updates.Tap None. Step1Open the Settings app
The first step to opting out of the iOS 17 public beta is to open the Settings app. That’s the app with a mechanical cog wheel if you’re unfamiliar.
2Tap General
From the main Settings menu, scroll down until you find the General tab. Tap it.
3Tap Software Update
Near the top of the General settings menu, you’ll find an option for Software Updates. Tap that to continue.
4Tap Beta Updates
You should see a Beta Updates tab at the top of the Software Update menu. Tap it.
5Tap None
Here, you’ll be presented with a list of beta programs your Apple ID is associated with, and the iOS 17 Public Beta should be selected by default.
To opt out of the beta program, simply select None. Your iPhone will then stop getting iOS 17 public beta updates, switching back to the public releases instead.
Yes, just go back to the Beta Updates menu and tap iOS 17 Public Beta to re-enrol.

Liberals Outraged After School Board in California Votes to Allow Only the State and U.S. Flags to Fly Over Schools | The Gateway Pundit
The school board in Sunol Glen School Unified School District in California has voted to allow only the state flag and the U.S. flag to fly over school buildings, outraging many people on the left.
Liberals obviously want to be able to fly the LGBT pride flag and BLM flags at school buildings and this measure would prevent that.
This is an example of what can be done when parents retake control of their local school boards.
FOX News reports:
Parents outraged after California school votes to forbid banners other than American, state flag
Parents and staff are claiming a California school district is targeting LGBTQ Pride flags after the board voted to forbid the display of banners other than the American or California state flags.
Trustees representing the Sunol Glen School Unified School District in the East Bay, which serves 270 K-8 students, engaged in a tense exchange with attendees at a Tuesday meeting.
“The symbol of the flag solidifies that message,” Sunol Glen Superintendent and Principal Molleen Barnes said during Tuesday’s meeting. “Tonight, with this resolution, our board members have been clear where they stand.”
Barnes also noted that the school has previously displayed Pride flags to remind LGBTQ students and families they “are a place of equity and inclusivity.”
“When a school starts endorsing any single particular point of view, that can be divisive,” Board President Ryan Jergensen said when asked to explain the proposed policy. “The school should be inclusive of all. Individual views are irrelevant. I prefer to seek more for what unites us as a school.”
People on both sides of the issue turned out.
Opposing rallies happening now. At 6, the Sunol Glen School District will consider banning any flag besides the American & California flag from being displayed. Resolution passed in Sunol Glen Unified (Sunol, CA) last night, giving a huge win for those who are fighting for actual equality. The only flags that are allowed to be flown in their district are California flags and USA Flags. HUGE WIN! pic.twitter.com/d8O1RlZS2l

These are the top iPhone 15 pre-order deals right now
The dust has barely settled on last night’s Apple event, but retailers have already began to unveil their iPhone 15 deals.
With the addition of USB-C, a 48MP camera, a brighter 2000 nits display and the introduction of the Dynamic Island (previously locked to the iPhone 14 Pro range), there are plenty of reasons as to why you might be tempted to upgrade to Apple’s latest handset, particularly if you have an older device like the iPhone 11 or iPhone 12.
If you want to know more about Apple’s upcoming handset before making any sort of commitment then you can check out our guide to the iPhone 15, as well as our point by point breakdown of the iPhone 15 vs iPhone 15 Pro.
When can I pre-order the iPhone 15?From what we can tell, iPhone 15 pre-orders from all retailers will go live on Friday, September 15th at 1pm (BST). This means that there’s still a bit of time before stock is made available, so you don’t have to worry about making a quick dash to the checkout right this second.
Top iPhone 15 Pre-order DealsBear in mind that the deals below currently aren’t live but they will be when pre-orders are made available at the end of the week.
VodafoneOut of all the retailers so far, Vodafone has come steamrolling out of the gate with some of the strongest trade-in claims we’ve seen yet. At the moment, the network claims that you can save up to £821 on your next iPhone when you trade in one of last year’s models.
As an additional incentive, Vodafone also agrees a guaranteed buy-back price with customers so that if they want to trade in their iPhone 15 next year for whatever Apple drops in 2024, then you’ll know exactly how much trade-in value you can get.
If you’re the type of person who simply can’t bear the thought of not upgrading each year then Vodafone is probably your best bet.
Sky MobileWhile Vodafone has plenty of trade-in deals, Sky Mobile is probably the better bet right now if you just want to pick up a new iPhone at an affordable rate without shipping off an old handset in the process.
The iPhone 15 itself starts with a monthly cost of £26 per month, with data tariffs that begin at £8 for 8GB, moving all the way up to £26 for 150GB. This means that the cheapest you could be paying for the iPhone 15 overall would be £34 a month on the 8GB option, which isn’t too bad for keeping the cost down.
If you do require a bit more data but don’t want to up the price too much then there is a 20GB SIM for £10 option that’s also available.
Other networksAt present, other major networks like EE, Three and O2 have yet to announce their iPhone 15 pre-order deals, but as soon as we’re made aware of them, we’ll include them on this page.

Biden Sinks 19 Points in Iowa as Women and Young Voters Begin to Desert Him | The Gateway Pundit
Recent polling shows a 19 point drop in support for Joe Biden in Iowa.
The change in support is a direct result of women and young voters who have begun to walk away from Biden. This has to be raising some red flags for Democrats, as those are two of their core vting blocs.
It’s not clear if this has anything to do with the Democrats’ decision to take away Iowa’s status as first in the primary.
The Washington Examiner reports:
Payback: Biden tumbles 19 points in Iowa as women and youth abandon him
President Joe Biden has suffered a huge drop in support in Iowa, the politically critical state that Democrats kicked to the curb when they rejiggered their primary schedule.
In the latest Emerson College Polling survey, the president tumbled 19 percentage points in caucus support, though he has a significant lead over distant challengers led by Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Women and younger voters led the mutiny, Emerson said. “Young voters and women voters are two groups who have lower support for Biden than their counterparts: only 38% of Democratic voters under 30 support Biden in a caucus, and 41% of women are undecided,” Spencer Kimball, the executive director of the survey, said.
Biden fell from 69% in May to 50% last week. But neither Kennedy nor Marianne Williamson were the beneficiaries.
Instead, voters shifted to choosing “someone else/undecided” in the survey. In May, just 10% were undecided, and now that is 34% in the survey.
Of course, it’s reasonable to assume that support for Biden is dropping in Iowa for the same reasons he is losing support in other locations. The economy, crime, and Biden’s lack of response to disasters in Ohio and Hawaii.
