Louisiana Man Wins Lawsuit Against Town That Targeted the Anti-Biden Flags on His Truck | The Gateway Pundit

A man in Louisiana has just won a lawsuit against the town of Grand Isle.

Ross Brunet flies anti-Biden flags on the back of his truck. He has been ticketed multiple times and the town even went so far as to pass an ordinance in an effort to stop him.

He won the lawsuit on free speech grounds. This article doesn’t specify what the flags say, but one could easily assume it says something like ‘F’ Joe Biden.

A resort island town on the Louisiana coast will repeal an anti-obscenity ordinance and let a contractor fly a flag from his truck that carries an obscenity aimed at President Joe Biden, under the terms of a lawsuit settlement filed Friday in federal court.


The settlement came in a lawsuit the Tulane First Amendment Law Clinic filed in January against the town of Grand Isle on behalf of Ross Brunet of Cut Off, Louisiana, who works on the island regularly. The suit said he repeatedly flew three flags from his truck. One promoted breast cancer awareness. Two bore vulgarities aimed at Biden and people who voted for him.


Brunet was ticketed seven times, according to the lawsuit. He successfully defended himself against four tickets. Despite winning those cases, he was later ticketed three more times. The last three cases were dropped after the town adopted an ordinance stating that signs on vehicles “shall not contain language deemed offensive and vulgar nor obscene in nature and cannot contain language that describes a sex act.”


The report goes on to say that Brunet is receiving $40,000 in legal fees, and that the town is reversing the ordinance. That is good news.

Why was this even an issue in the first place? When Trump was president, celebrities and members of the media said vulgar things about the president every day. It was inescapable. Why the sudden outrage now?

New polling has found that a strong majority of Americans believe that biological men should not be allowed to compete in women’s sports.

It’s good to know that a majority of Americans still possess common sense.

Men competing against women is not only unfair, it makes a total mockery of women, girls, and women’s sports.

Almost 70 percent of Americans don’t believe that biological men should be allowed to compete in women’s sports, indicating that current laws that restrict participation for transgender athletes are generally in line with U.S. public opinion, according to a Gallup poll.


The polling showed an increase from 62 percent in 2021 to 69 percent of Americans in 2023 who believe athletes should only play on teams that match their birth gender, according to a survey conducted by Gallup. In tandem, in 2021, 34 percent of Americans said transgender athletes should be allowed to play on teams that match their current gender identity, while in 2023, only 26 percent held that belief.


Riley Gaines, the director of the Riley Gaines Center at the Leadership Institute, told Fox News Digital that based on how politicians and voting and the way the media portrays gender ideology issues, it would give the impression that this issue “is very polarizing and divisive,” but “in reality, it’s not.”


“While this should never have become a political issue, there are very few issues that the majority of the general public can agree on, but this is one of them,” Gaines said. “The pendulum has swung too far, and people are beginning to see what’s at stake if it continues.”

General Flynn Asserts He Will Not Comply with the COVID Hysteria Being Pushed by Biden Regime and Corporate Media (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit

General Michael Flynn has openly refused to comply with the Biden regime’s looming COVID-19 restrictions. This comes as the Biden regime is reportedly preparing to reinstate full COVID-19 lockdowns, beginning with masking mandates for TSA and airport employees as early as mid-September, as reported by The Gateway Pundit citing Infowars.

It can be recalled that a high-level TSA official reached out to Alex Jones of Infowars, detailing a meeting where TSA managers were informed of new memorandums and policies that would reimplement mask-wearing.

These policies will reinstate the mask mandate for TSA and airport employees starting mid-September.

According to the TSA official, further details on how the policy will escalate will be provided the coming weeks.

The official added that by mid-October, mask-wearing will be mandated for pilots, flight staff, passengers, and all airport patrons.

Following this disclosure from the TSA official, Infowars reached out to a trusted Border Patrol source, also in a managerial position.

This source corroborated the directives, confirming that similar measures were being planned for Border Patrol personnel.

“They were told it was not a matter of “if” but “when” official Covid numbers will go back up and they expect by mid-October a return to forced-masking policies that the Biden administration previously only reluctantly ended after massive pressure,” Infowars reported.

The news outlet added, “Both whistleblowers were told this rollout will be in tandem with the new Covid “variant” hysteria that the MSM has been reporting on this week.”

As the Biden regime and mainstream media ramp up their COVID hysteria, General Flynn made it clear that he will not comply.

“If it’s me, and I know what is happening to our country in a very deep way, if somebody says, ‘You can’t go in here unless you mask up,’ and tells me I gotta stand 6 feet apart from somebody in a line to get on a plane, and then I’m going to be jammed next to them in a seat, I just will not do that,” Flynn said during a recent interview.

“I will not put a mask on. I will not go into that store. I will go find some other place,” Flynn added.

Flynn’s refusal to comply with the overreaching mandates of the Biden regime was commended by most Americans. One X user wrote, “The People’s General leading by example.”

Fast Charge: I’m really going to miss the iPhone’s alert switch

OPINION: Apple this week announced the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro ranges, boasting a number of upgrades and new features. Among a slew of new hardware on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, the company introduced the Action Button – a handy customisable button that’ll allow you to open a specific app or toggle a specific function.

I love the idea of quickly opening the Camera app or toggling on a flashlight with the press of a dedicated button, but in doing so, Apple has killed off one of the iPhone’s biggest unsung heroes: the alert switch. And reader, I am absolutely gutted. 

It’s more than just a simple switch that lets you quickly and easily toggle silent mode on or off without turning your phone on and tapping away at the screen – though it did do its one job exceptionally well. 

In fact, I think the mute switch is one of the defining features of the iPhone’s design, more so than the notch or even the Home button, present on every single version of the iPhone since its inception way back in 2007. 

You might remark that the new Action Button can be programmed to do the exact same thing, but it’s not the same. 

Aside from the satisfying tactile experience of physically flipping a switch on the side of my iPhone, the placement of the switch allows me to feel the side of my phone and immediately know whether it’s on silent or loud without even glancing at it – a very handy feature when I’m walking into a meeting or joining a video call.

With the Action Button, I’ll have to take my iPhone out of my pocket and look at the screen while pressing the button to verify that it’s on silent mode. It may not seem like much, but it’s extra added steps to an already exceptionally streamlined process, and I can guarantee it’s something that most iPhone owners have had to do at least once. 

After all, there’s a reason that smartphone fans covet the OnePlus alert slider so much, as it undertakes the similar task of easily switching between ring, vibrate and silent modes without having to actually interact with the phone. 

It was removed from the OnePlus 10, and after backlash from fans, was reintroduced on the OnePlus 11. Don’t underestimate just how important these physical switches and buttons can be to the everyday consumer. 

That said, the new Action Button should deliver a completely new way to interact with your iPhone 15 Pro in ways that I haven’t even imagined, so I’m not writing off Apple’s new tech just yet. It’ll just take me a while to get over the loss of a dear, old friend.

People all over the country are hurting financially and many critics felt that if Oprah really wanted to help, she should have just done it herself.

People also didn’t trust her claim that she and The Rock were kicking it off with a ten million dollar donation.

She went on CBS Mornings on Friday and showed that she has no idea why people reacted in this way.

“It made me sad that we are at this state in our country.”


Winfrey also suggested that she faced “an onslaught of being terrorized and vilified online” when she urged the public to give money to help victims of the Maui wildfires.


“All the online, you know, being — attacks, lies, conspiracy theories, really took the focus off of what was the most important thing, and that was the people of Maui,” Winfrey insisted.

No more news on the Apple Vision Pro

The Apple Vision Pro was mentioned at the start of the Wonderlust event, but we were remiss to find out that there was no new information on Apple’s solution to VR. We did find out that a new, third season of The Morning Show will be premiering on Apple TV tomorrow – which you will be able to watch in all its glory with the Vision Pro – but nothing new on the specifications, release date or even design of the VR headset.

It’s not clear if Apple will give us any more hints on the Vision Pro for a while, but since the launch date is still slated to be early next year, we do hope that we can glean a little more information on it before it’s released into the wild.

Speaking of Apple TV, we were hard-pressed to notice that Apple didn’t mention its TV streaming range at all. The next-generation Apple TV has been rumoured to launch in the first half of 2024, according to Bloomberg, so it’s a little surprising that we didn’t get any more information on the specs or pricing.

We expect Apple to reveal a little more about its next Apple TV either in another event like this one or a simple press release, but it would have been nice to hear it directly from Tim Cook himself.

We’ve been waiting on tenterhooks for more news on the highly anticipated M3 chipsets, and while it was almost expected that Apple wouldn’t dare touch on this topic during an iPhone announcement, it didn’t make it sting any less.

Other rumours have suggested that Apple won’t be releasing any new Apple Silicon M3 chips inside any of its laptops or desktops in 2023, with 2024 being the earliest release date. There is a chance that some Mac-related news will arrive in October, however, that is being plunged into doubt as more time goes on.

It is also safe to say that the new M3 chips will be announced alongside the MacBooks and Macs that pair up with them, so we wouldn’t advise holding out hope for news on the latest MacBook Air anytime soon.

This one was a bit of a long shot to begin with, since Apple rarely announces an iPad in the same breath as an iPhone anymore, but it’s still worth pointing out. There have been no new additions to the iPad family for the entirety of 2023 and it would have been nice to hear at least some reassurance on that front.

There is a small chance that the next-generation range of iPads could come with the latest M3 chipsets – once they are announced – since the current-generation iPad Pro (2022) has been paired up with an M2 chipset. If this is the case then we should expect to hear about the new iPad ranges after the Mac announcements, which pushes things further into uncertainty.

With all that said, we will likely hear more about the new iPad lineup towards the end of the year or into next year, we may just have to keep our eyes peeled for that M3 chipset first.

The push to USB-C was an obvious one, with the new law from the EU not really leaving Apple with much choice, but it would have been nice if we got some more elaboration on what other Apple products will be affected now and in the future.

Since the grand jury returned an indictment in this case, the defendant has repeatedly and widely disseminated public statements attacking the citizens of the District of Columbia, the Court, prosecutors, and prospective witnesses. Through his statements, the defendant threatens to undermine the integrity of these proceedings and prejudice the jury pool, in contravention of the “undeviating rule” that in our justice system a jury’s verdict is to “be induced only by evidence and argument in open court, and not by any outside influence.” Sheppard v. Maxwell, 384 U.S. 333, 351 (1966) (quotations omitted). In accordance with the Court’s duty to “protect [its] processes from prejudicial outside interferences,” id. at 363, the Government requests that the Court take the following immediate measures to ensure the due administration of justice and a fair and impartial jury: (1) enter a narrowly tailored order pursuant to Local Criminal Rule 57.7(c) that restricts certain prejudicial extrajudicial statements; and (2) enter an order through which the Court can ensure that if either party conducts a jury study involving contact with the citizens of this District, the jury study is conducted in a way that will not prejudice the venire. The Government obtained the defendant’s position from counsel for the defendant, and he opposes this motion.


I. Background
As set forth in the indictment, after election day in 2020, the defendant launched a disinformation campaign in which he publicly and widely broadcast knowingly false claims that there had been outcome-determinative fraud in the presidential election, and that he had actually won. ECF No. 1 at ¶¶ 2, 4. In service of his criminal conspiracies, through false public statements, the defendant sought to erode public faith in the administration of the election and intimidate individuals who refuted his lies. ECF No. 1 at ¶¶ 2, 28, 31-32, 42, 44, 74, 97, 100, 104, 111. The defendant is now attempting to do the same thing in this criminal case—to undermine confidence in the criminal justice system and prejudice the jury pool through disparaging and inflammatory attacks on the citizens of this District, the Court, prosecutors, and prospective witnesses. The defendant’s conduct presents a “substantial likelihood of material prejudice” to these proceedings, and the Court can and should take steps to restrict such harmful extrajudicial statements. B. Since the Indictment, the Defendant Has Deployed Misleading and Inflammatory Statements About this Case to Undermine Confidence in the Justice System and Prejudice the Jury Pool


The defendant made clear his intent to issue public attacks related to this case when, the day after his arraignment, he posted a threatening message on Truth Social: “IF YOU GO AFTER ME, I’M COMING AFTER YOU!” August 4, 2023.


And he has made good on his threat. Since the indictment in this case, the defendant has spread disparaging and inflammatory public posts on Truth Social on a near-daily basis regarding the citizens of the District of Columbia, the Court, prosecutors, and prospective witnesses. Like his previous public disinformation campaign regarding the 2020 presidential election, the defendant’s recent extrajudicial statements are intended to undermine public confidence in an institution—the judicial system—and to undermine confidence in and intimidate individuals—the Court, the jury pool, witnesses, and prosecutors. Below are select examples of the defendant’s disparaging and
inflammatory Truth Social posts.


i. Posts Attacking, Undermining, and Attempting to Intimidate the Court and the Jury Pool


The defendant has posted repeated, inflammatory attacks on the judicial system, the Court, and the citizens of the District of Columbia who comprise the jury pool in this case. The defendant has made baseless claims—cited or inserted below—that the justice system is “rigged”12 against him; that the Court is “a fraud dressed up as a judge in Washington, D.C. who is a radical Obama hack” or is a “biased, Trump-hating judge”;13 and that he cannot get a fair trial from the residents of this “filthy and crime ridden” District that “is over 95% anti-Trump.”14


ii. Posts Attacking, Undermining, and Attempting to Intimidate Prosecutors


Similarly, the defendant has posted false and disparaging claims regarding the Department of Justice and prosecutors in the Special Counsel’s Office in an attempt to undermine confidence in the justice system and prejudice the jury pool against the Government in advance of trial. In a video posted to Truth Social, the defendant called the Special Counsel’s Office a “team of thugs.”15

III. Conclusion


Consistent with its obligations to guard the integrity of these proceedings and prevent prejudice to the jury pool, while respecting the defendant’s First Amendment rights, the Court should enter the proposed orders imposing certain narrow restrictions on the parties’ public

How does the A17 compare to the Mac chip?

Apple has launched its most powerful smartphone chip yet, with the Apple A17 Pro slapped inside both the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. 

Given all of the power stuffed inside the new processor, you may well be wondering how it stacks up against the M2 chip, which powers the iPad Pro, MacBook Air and Mac Mini

The Apple A17 Pro uses 3nm architecture 

The first thing to note is that the Apple A17 Pro and Apple M2 are built on different processor architecture, with so many differing qualities that it’s a bit like comparing apples to oranges. 

It’s still worth pointing out that Apple has moved onto a new 3nm process node for the Apple A17 Pro, boosting the efficiency compared to all of the company’s preceding chips. The move to a smaller process node allows Apple to cram on more transistors, which dictate performance, with the A17 Pro packing 19 billion of them compared to the 16 billion on the older A16 Bionic chip. 

As for the Apple M2 chip, it’s still using a larger, less efficient 5nm process node. But since the M2 chip has a larger die than the A17 Pro, as it’s designed for bigger devices such as tablets and laptops, Apple has been able to fit on a whopping 20 billion transistors.

This suggests that the M2 chip will retain a performance lead over the Apple A17 Pro, although the gap is smaller than many people may expect. That could change once the Apple M3 chip launches, as it’s also expected to embrace a 3nm node to allow Apple to increase the number of transistors for its base Mac processor.

Apple M2 has more CPU cores

It’s not just the processor architecture that dictates performance, as the number of CPU cores are used to scale the performance – a greater number of CPU cores will improve the processing power. 

The Apple M2 has an 8-core CPU, while the Apple A17 Pro has a 6-core CPU instead. It’s also important to note that not every core is the same. For the M2, Apple uses 4 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores. 

With the Apple A17 Pro, Apple is prioritising energy efficiency instead, which makes sense since battery life is so important for a smartphone. The new chip features 4 efficiency cores and 2 performance cores. This once again demonstrates that the Apple M2 is likely to be the more powerful processor, although the A17 Pro will likely be more power efficient.

The Apple M2 likely offers more graphical grunt than the Apple A17 Pro thanks to the inclusion of an 8-core/10-core GPU, with the quantity depending on which Apple device you purchase. A powerful GPU is most valuable for tasks such as gaming and video editing, and so it makes sense that a chip designed for laptops takes the lead here. 

The Apple A17 Pro is no slouch in this department though, with a new 6-core GPU. Apple claims the GPU is powerful enough to run games such as Death Stranding, Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Resident Evil 4 Remake natively, which is unheard of when it comes to smartphones. 

The Apple A17 Pro is also the first Apple-made chip to officially support hardware-accelerated ray tracing, so it does have one advantage over the M2 when it comes to gaming. But we’re sure new Macs will also benefit from this upgrade once the M3 chip arrives.

Biden Takes No Questions as He Retreats to Delaware for Another Vacation (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit

Joe Biden departed the White House en route to Delaware on Friday evening without taking any questions from reporters.

Biden has spent 384 days — 39.6% of his presidency — on vacation with no visitor logs.

After a disastrous week, Joe Biden shuffled across the South Lawn to Marine One.

This has been a bad week for Joe Biden.

On Monday Biden got major backlash after he lied about visiting Ground Zero the day after the 9/11 attacks.

“Ground Zero in New York — I remember standing there the next day and looking at the building. I felt like I was looking through the gates of hell,” Biden said.

On Tuesday Speaker McCarthy announced he is directing House committees to open an impeachment inquiry against Joe Biden.

“I am directing our House committees to open a formal impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden. Over the past several months, House Republicans have uncovered serious and credible allegations into President Biden’s conduct—a culture of corruption,” McCarthy said.

On Wednesday, a visibly exhausted Joe Biden couldn’t even make it through a cabinet meeting and had to hand it over to Dr. Jill.

On Thursday Biden delivered remarks on his failed economic agenda dubbed “Bidenomics” at Prince George’s Community College in Largo, Maryland shortly after his son Hunter was indicted on federal gun charges.

Biden’s speech was a total disaster. He lost a few battles with his teleprompter and began shouting out of nowhere.

At one point, Joe Biden suggested blacks and Hispanics don’t have high school diplomas.

The White House had to stealth edit the transcript after Biden slipped up with another racist gaffe.

On Friday, Joe Biden reluctantly made brief remarks about the auto strike before he departed for Delaware for another vacation.

At the end of his brief remarks, Biden made it clear to reporters that he would not be taking any questions: “Thank you very much. That’s all I’m going to say.”

“At what point will you get directly involved in negotiations?” a reporter asked of the auto worker strike.

“Should Hunter get a pardon, Mr. President!?” the reporter asked.

Biden turned his back, walked away and shut the door.
