Democrats Sound the Alarm After Trump Outfoxes Joe Biden on Auto Union Strike | The Gateway Pundit
Democrats sounded the alarm after Trump outfoxed Joe Biden on the auto union strike with his plan to deliver a speech in Detroit next week.
Trump decided to forgo the upcoming Republican primary debate scheduled for Wednesday, September 27 at the Reagan Library in California. Instead, he will be in Detroit, speaking to a crowd of more than 500 current and former union members.
For the first time in the history of the 150,000-member United Auto Workers Union, members went on strike against the “Big 3” manufacturers at midnight Thursday night after no deal was reached.
The “Big 3” include Ford, General Motors, and Stellantis, the newly-formed merger of Fiat Chrysler and the PSA Group.
“Key demands from the union have included 40% hourly pay increases; a reduced, 32-hour, workweek; a shift back to traditional pensions; the elimination of compensation tiers; and a restoration of cost-of-living adjustments. Other items on the table include enhanced retiree benefits and better vacation and family leave benefits,” CNBC reported.
The automakers pushed back on union demands and said their proposals would bankrupt the companies.
Democrats are quietly panicking over Trump’s planned speech in Detroit as Joe Biden’s White House grapples with how to handle the historic strike.
“Trump scooped us. Now if we announce we’re going, it looks like we’re just going because of Trump,” said a national Democratic strategist, according to Politico. “We waited too long. That’s the challenge.”
According to Politico, a union advisor said Trump “boxed Biden in.”
“[Trump] actually has people who know what they’re doing. He boxed Biden in. It was kinda genius,” the union advisor said.

Some Joe Biden allies fear that Donald Trump is outmaneuvering them on the auto workers’ strike with his decision to head to Detroit for a speech next week.
Democrats close to the White House said they saw Trump’s trip as a plainly cynical ploy to gain political advantage from the current United Auto Workers strike at three plants. But they also worry it is a sign that the ex-president had a more sophisticated campaign than in previous cycles — and that Biden’s operation needs to step it up.
“We should not underestimate Donald Trump. He’s a survivor and this is going to be a very hard-fought campaign,” said Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), a member of Biden’s national advisory board who was in Wayne, Mich., and Toledo, Ohio, on Monday with UAW members. “We need a message to working-class Americans. Right now, they’re still hurting in terms of gas prices, food prices, housing costs, utilities costs, and they don’t feel like their wages are going up fast enough, and they feel like the very wealthy are getting too much of the rewards. That’s what I heard on the picket lines.”
Earlier this month, Joe Biden, the most ‘pro-union president in US history,’ arrogantly brushed off a question about the looming auto strike.
“No, I’m not worried about [an auto workers] strike until it happens. I don’t think it’s going to happen,” Biden said to reporters on the tarmac in Philadelphia on Labor Day.

The autoworkers are not happy with Joe Biden.
Autoworkers lashed out at “pro-union” Joe Biden on the eve of a historic United Auto Workers union strike last week.
A dozen union members gathered in Kokomo, Indiana, the hometown of United Auto Workers (UAW) President Shawn Fain on Thursday night.
One worker expressed his frustration with Joe Biden and his politcies as the clock got closer to midnight last Thursday.
“I don’t know what he’s done,” said Gary Quick, president of Local 685 at a union hall in Kokomo, Indiana on Thursday night, according to Politico. “Ask him. I don’t think he knows what he’s done. Seriously. I’m not trying to be mean.”
Another union member, Denny Butler, blasted Joe Biden and the Democrat party.
“They’re all full of shit,” Butler said, according to Politico. “We haven’t had a president in there for years, with the exception of Trump, that was really for the people, all the way back to the Reagan days.”
“Historically, man, if you didn’t vote Democrat years ago, and you were in the union, sometimes you got your ass kicked,” he said. “Democrats were for the working people. That shit has changed. I’m telling you what, the Democratic Party was not what it was 20, 30 years ago.”

A police department in the Washington, DC area is so hard up for people to join their understaffed team that they are looking for new recruits in Puerto Rico.
It seems hard to believe now that just a few years ago, Democrats were calling for the defunding of the police. Now they are so desperate for new cops that they are forced to look outside the continental United States.
What does this tell you about the way that the left has treated the police in recent years? Who would want the job?

DC-Area Police Department Turns to Puerto Rico To Alleviate Officer Recruiting Shortages
Officer shortages are so dire in the Washington, D.C., area that one county police department is planning to send officials to Puerto Rico in an attempt to bring back hundreds of new recruits, the department announced Monday.
Law enforcement officials in Maryland’s Prince George’s County, which borders D.C., told the city’s Fox affiliate that they plan to travel to the Caribbean island “soon” in an attempt to hire the roughly 350 officers they need to achieve a full staff. In addition to the tropical recruitment trip, the county’s police department is targeting Hispanic communities at parades and other events across the country and running ads in Spanish.
The effort provides a window into the unique strategies that police departments are employing as they work to address the officer shortages that have plagued America’s police departments since the height of the Defund the Police movement in 2020.
Democrats deserve to pay a hefty political price for what they did to this country by demonizing the police. The crime that is destroying cities across the nation is a direct result of their policies.

Woke singer Maren Morris gave an interview Friday to Los Angeles Times revealing the ridiculous reason why she decided to ditch country music for pop. Unsurprisingly, social media absolutely torched her in response.
The 33-year-old Morris told the LA Times she got sick and tired of what she saw as country music industry’s unwillingness to deal with racism and misogyny. She also claimed the genre is too slow to open its doors to more females, gay people, and nonwhites.
Guess who she blames for all this? President Trump and “bigoted” country music fans.
After the Trump years, people’s biases were on full display. It just revealed who people really were and that they were proud to be misogynistic and racist and homophobic and transphobic. All these things were being celebrated, and it was weirdly dovetailing with this hyper-masculine branch of country music. I call it butt rock.
Morris went on to whine that people were supposedly streaming politically incorrect country songs like Jason Aldean’s “Try that in a Small Town” purely to “own the libs.”
People are streaming these songs out of spite. It’s not out of true joy or love of the music. It’s to own the libs. And that’s so not what music is intended for. Music is supposed to be the voice of the oppressed — the actual oppressed. And now it’s being used as this really toxic weapon in culture wars.
As previously reported by the Gateway Pundit, Morris also mocked Aldean and “Try that in a Small Town” in two music videos she released early last week.
Both “The Tree” and “Get The Hell Out Of Here” videos showed Morris as she walks through a small miniature town.
Conservatives showed no mercy to Morris for leaving country music along with her cheap shots at Trump and the genre’s fanbase.

Update: 2 People Charged With Murder After Baby Dies From Suspected Opioid Exposure at Bronx Daycare Center | The Gateway Pundit
Two suspects have been charged with murder at a Bronx daycare center for exposing children to Fentanyl. Police are still seeking one more person.
Grei Mendez, 36, and Carlisto Acevedo Brito, 41, were charged with murder, manslaughter and assault. Emergency responders on Friday were called to Divino Nino Day Care Center for reports of cardiac arrest. A one-year-old boy, Nicholas Dominici, died on Friday from Fentanyl exposure. Three other children were hospitalized.
KINGSBRIDGE, The Bronx (WABC) — Two suspects have been charged with murder and another person is being sought by police in the deadly fentanyl exposure at a day care in the Bronx.
First responders were summoned on Friday afternoon to Divino Nino Daycare on 2707 Morris Ave. in Kingsbridge for reports of cardiac arrest.
Nicholas Dominici, 1, died Friday after police say he was exposed to fentanyl that was in the day care. Three other children were hospitalized.
Authorities say drug production equipment and a kilo of fentanyl were found inside the home-based day care.
Officials say the children ate something around 1 p.m. Friday and took a nap. When workers went to wake them up at 2:30 p.m., three were unconscious. Dominici was pronounced dead at Montefiore.
During a briefing on Monday evening, officials say fentanyl was found underneath mats in the area where the the children took their naps. Detectives believe the children inhaled fentanyl particles during daylong exposure to the drug Friday.
News Reporter: “Innocent infants and toddlers were tucked in with deadly drugs. Now the day care operator and her tenant are facing a host of charges including murder.”

The Gateway Pundit reported on the initial story of the day care center.
A one-year-old baby boy died and three other children were hospitalized on Friday from potentially ingesting fentanyl at a Bronx daycare center according to police. The children had been napping at Divino Nino Day Care Center and had eaten 90 minutes prior.
The children were supposed to wake up around 2:30 pm, but were unresponsive. The victims included a one-year-old boy, 2 two-year-old boys, and an 8-month-old girl.
Police are now investigating to see if the children ingested fentanyl or if it was another type of drug. A woman living near the daycare center heard one of the workers screaming and saying, “The kids are dead! The kids are dead,” numerous times. She had gone outside and saw the desperate worker with the unresponsive children by the entrance to the daycare center.
On September 6th, they had their annual unannounced inspection and passed it with zero violations and have been operating since May.

Last week, Bill Maher announced that he was relaunching his ‘Real Time’ show even though the writer strike is still happening in Hollywood.
Maher claimed that he was doing it because so many other members of his staff were struggling financially.
Now he is reversing his decision. He is caving to pressure from the far left.

After initially declaring his show would return amid the writers strike, talk show host Bill Maher announced Monday he has reversed that decision for the time being.
“Real Time with Bill Maher’s” 21st season was cut short after Hollywood writers went on strike in May. Writers are asking for higher pay, a guaranteed number of writers per room, better residuals and safeguards around the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the writing process in their list of demands. With no foreseeable end to the strike, Maher initially revealed that the show would return without writers and simply skip the segments that rely on writers.
“Real Time is coming back, unfortunately, sans writers or writing,” he wrote last week. “It has been five months, and it is time to bring people back to work. The writers have important issues that I sympathize with, and hope they are addressed to their satisfaction, but they are not the only people with issues, problems, and concerns,” noting later that “there still seems to be nothing happening” in terms of negotiations.
Activists on the left must have really gone after Maher and his crew.

Liberal Massachusetts Town on Cape Cod Protests When State Settles Illegal Immigrants in Motel | The Gateway Pundit
Residents of Yarmouth, Massachusetts, a liberal town on Cape Cod, are protesting the decision of the state to house illegal border crossers at an upscale motel in the community.
This is very similar to what happened when migrants were sent to Martha’s Vineyard last year.
Liberals in these communities don’t think that they should be expected to deal with the consequences of voting for Democrats.

‘It’s wrong’: Cape Cod town pushes back after state sends in migrants
Local officials are pushing back on the state after a group of migrant families arrived on short notice over the weekend in Yarmouth, Massachusetts.
In a letter to Gov. Maura Healey Tuesday, the Select Board urged the state not to place migrants at another possible housing site in town, the Yarmouth Resort motel. Officials wrote that the location has “become a nuisance to the town,” does not have an occupancy permit and the property is under a cease-and-desist order. Meanwhile, the issue has become a source of contention in town, according to Town Administrator Robert Whritenour, who said the lack of communication from the state is only exacerbating the problem.
“It’s a fluid process with them day-to-day. They often neglect or forget to contact the local municipal officials,” Whritenour said. “It’s been brutal, quite frankly, in terms of a lot of vitriol that has been directed towards local officials, towards state officials, towards federal officials. And honestly, I think a lot of people are fearful.”…
“We fear we’re losing Cape Cod,” one woman said at the meeting. “Cape Cod is a special and beautiful place. It’s not just a problem for our town. We need you guys to be working with the other towns to have a unified front on this.”

Obama Judge Tanya Chutkan Previously Called January 6 “An Armed Attempted Overthrow of This Government” | The Gateway Pundit
How is this woman allowed to oversee Trump’s January 6 trial?
Yet another prejudicial courtroom statement made by Judge Tanya Chutkan in a January 6 case has been unearthed as Trump demands she recuse herself from his January 6 case.
Julie Kelly obtained a transcript of another sentencing by Judge Chutkan for a J6er where she brazenly lied about the Capitol protest.
Judge Chutkan during her sentencing brazenly lied about the January 6 Capitol riot and called it an “armed attempted overthrow of this government.”

Judge Chutkan said lawmakers who were inside the Capitol on January 6 looked outside and saw “gallows being erected.”
This never happened. There is no video evidence to back up this absurd claim.
After admitting she watched J6 select committee hearings–and asking a defendant if he had, lol–Chutkan compares Jan 6 to Game of Thrones.

Judge Chutkan also said January 6 protesters tried to violently overthrow the government.
She has already made up her mind on January 6 and yet she is allowed to preside over Trump’s January 6 trial where the former president is facing four federal counts: Conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding, and conspiracy against rights.
President Trump’s attorneys last week filed a motion in a DC federal court calling for Judge Tanya Chutkan, an Obama appointee, to recuse herself from Trump’s January 6 case brought by Special Counsel Jack Smith.
One example of a disqualifying statement per the motion filed last week:
In October 2022, before the Special Counsel’s appointment or the filing of this case, Judge Chutkan stated:
“This was nothing less than an attempt to violently overthrow the government, the legally, lawfully, peacefully elected government by individuals who were mad that their guy lost. I see the videotapes. I see the footage of the flags and the signs that people were carrying and the hats they were wearing and the garb. And the people who mobbed that Capitol were there in fealty, in loyalty, to one man — not to the Constitution, of which most of the people who come before me seem woefully ignorant; not to the ideals of this country; and not to the principles of democracy. It’s a blind loyalty to one person who, by the way, remains free to this day.” United States v. Christine Priola 1:22-cr-242, ECF #66 at 29:17–30:3 (sentencing transcript) (emphasis added) (relevant portions attached as Ex. A).
Judge Tanya Chutkan is treating President Trump worse than other defendants – including a meth dealer.
Noted attorney Techno Fog looked through Judge Chutkan’s recent history and provided evidence of bias after she denied the gag order hearing dates requested by Trump’s lawyers.
She gave the meth dealer a 1 week deadline to respond to a protective order.
The judge also set the hearing 2 weeks out after it was submitted, according to Techno Fog.
In contrast, Judge Chutkan gave Trump only ONE DAY to respond to a request for a protective order.
This is clear evidence of bias.
Mark Levin made an excellent case in favor of Tanya Chutkan’s recusal last week and said she is “unqualified” to preside over Jack Smith’s case against Trump:

Milley says military is not woke: ‘I’m not even sure what that word truly means’
Army Gen. Mark Milley pushed back on claims from Republicans that the military is “woke” and as a result not prepared to take on modern threats, saying he’s “not even sure what that word truly means.”
“What I see is a military that’s exceptionally strong. It’s powerful; it’s ready. In fact, our readiness rates, the way we measure readiness, is better now than they’ve been in years,” Milley said in a CNN interview Sunday.
Republican politicians and candidates have blasted the Pentagon for so-called woke policies, pointing to efforts to recruit a diverse group of military service members and be inclusive to transgender soldiers…
“This is a military that’s dedicated to maintaining our readiness, our capabilities, our lethality. And the thing that we also need to focus on is the modernization for the future character of war that I see fundamentally changing,” Milley said.
“This military is a lot of things, but woke, it’s not. So I take exception to that. I think that people say those things for reasons that are their own reasons, but it’s not true. It’s not accurate,” he continued. “It’s not a broad-brush description of the U.S. military as it exists today.”
